Master thesis "The transformation of the life of Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo in Bohemia in the context of the 20th century: a reflection of changes in the experience of charisma and spirituality of the Congregation" is based on the assumption that a significant feature of the religious life as an organic part of the church is its historical character, which leads again and again to the transformation of the own charisma into the specific spirituality. The thesis is devoted to the Bohemian branch of the Sisters of Mercy in the course of the 20th century. The general constitutive elements of the religious life and the specific features of the Congregation are described in the first chapter. The second chapter offers an overview of the most significant events and trends of the 20th century from the perspective of the society and of the church in Europe, followed by the third chapter focusing on the situation of the catholic church and Congregation of Sisters of Mercy in Bohemia during the 20th century. Barbora Sadilová Title Augustine's theology of resurrection in the light of Sermones 361-362 Abstract The submitted thesis aims to present Augustine's theology of the resurrection. After examining the biblical foundations of the theology of the resurrection, the thesis deals with the concept of the topic by selected patristic authors before Augustine. The second chapter presents Augustine's doctrine of Christ's resurrection as the cause and beginning of the final resurrection of the dead. In the third part, the work focuses first on the biblical grounding of Augustine's theology of the resurrection of the dead and his controversy with contemporary opponents of the resurrection, especially with Manichaeism and Neoplatonism. Subsequently, his conception of the eschatological resurrection of the body is systematically introduced and his vision of the renewed world and life in it is outlined. The thesis deals with the research of pictorial and poetic work, the motif of which is the Virgin Mary, in the work of the poet and painter Bohuslav Reynek. The aim of the work is a deeper knowledge of the topic and penetration into the Marian theme in the work of Bohuslav Reynek, based on Roman Catholic Christian pre-understanding, especially in the field of systematic theology - mariology. The work is conducted with regard to the literary and pictorial meaning of the subject. The main tool used is the available literature dealing with the issue.

This thesis focuses on the interpretation of the narrative of divination in selected late antique sources. The aim of this historical probe is to refine the interpretation of RomanChristian relations using the methodology of historical science and historical sociology. The results of the research demonstrate the complexity of these relations, especially in terms of intertextual strategies and the importance of the works in the religious polemics of late antiquity. Hana Benešová Skrze touhy profánní k touze po věčnosti. Abstrakt V sekulární společnosti není touha po Bohu častým tématem reflexe. Avšak právě ona vede k lidskému naplnění a integritě. Tato práce zkoumá touhu po Bohu skrze poznání profánních tužeb a jejich nedostatečnosti. Prostřednictvím tohoto poznání je jim dáno správné místo v Augustinově konceptu řádu lásky (ordo amoris). Příkladem tohoto procesu transformace tužeb jsou také Augustinovy reflexe nad ztrátou jeho milovaných příbuzných a přátel prizmatem věčnosti a poznání, že v Bohu není nikdo ztracen. Pro upřesnění a pochopení průběhu přeměny vnímání tužeb je použita fenomenologická metoda. Podrobně je popsán pohyb a odstup jakožto důležité součásti percepční změny. Rovněž je zkoumáno téma ženské spirituality v kontextu touhy. Práce se proto zaměřuje na snahu ženy osvobodit se od toho, co je dočasné, aby se otevřela bezpodmínečné lásce a sama takovou láskou milovala. Objevování touhy po Bohu prostřednictvím uvědomování si pomíjivosti profánních tužeb a jejich neschopnosti uspokojit nepokojné srdce může být důležitým úkolem pro další bádání v oblasti spirituální teologie.

Homosexuality and Teaching of the Catholic Church is a critical analysis of homosexuality as an anthropological phenomenon examined from dogmatic and theological as well as ethical perspective laid down in the Catholic teaching and reviewed in the context of the Apostolic Exhortation on Love in the Family, Amoris laetitia. It confronts particular anthropological approaches towards theoretical and practical problems concerning homosexual orientation with the emphasis put on their compatibility with the Catholic moral doctrine. Searching for a conform personally accepted and positive integration of homosexuality perceived as irregular and difficult situation according to the Christian understanding of integral personal and spiritual growth in relation to a man practicing his Catholic faith is the main task of this diploma thesis.

The study is going to analyse Ambrose's treatise De paenitentia and evaluate its importance for the theology of penance. After presenting the evolution of the practice of penance in early Church till 4th century, especially in West and with focus on the Novatian crisis as a milestone, the study is further dealing with Ambrose of Milan's personality and works, namely with his treatise De paenitentia; not only in the context of the contemporary polemics with Novatian heresy, but mainly as a first formalized and structured theology which will be later developed into the understanding of penance as one of the Church's sacraments. This Bachelor's thesis "The moral and spiritual profile of a christian in the work called Paidagogos of Clement of Alexandria" deals with the great character of Christianity in the second century - Clement of Alexandria, his life and work in the context of his ideas collected in Paidagogos, which seeks answer the question of what it is to be a Christian in the practical moral and spiritual life. In thesis is first briefly outlined the life of writer and environment in which he operates. Furthemore, the thesis deals with issues of morality of the christian as one who is guided by Christ who is able to maintain its internal independence and freedom. In the part dedicated to the christian spirituality are treated issues such as spiritual path, Word/Logos, gnostic etc. At the end follows the evaluation of the contribution of this work for the life of contemporary.

Christians in cyberspace. The aim of this work is to find an answer to the question of whether it is possible to use cyberspace safely and for good, or whether cyberspace itself is bad and its use incorrect. The first part of the work is devoted to the rapid technological development of recent decades in general. The first chapter defines the concept of cyberspace. The second chapter will summarize the development of technologies related to cyberspace, mainly telecommunications technologies. The next chapters look at how this change and the spread of technology has changed the way people communicate, and describe the most important changes, both positive and negative. The second part of the work tries to introduce to the specific worlds of the inhabitants of cyberspace, to the communities that have emerged around the new technologies with different goals. At the same time, specific examples were selected, in which new facts can be seen in some way, which were previously not available at all, or only to a limited extent. The last, third part is then the core of this work, to which the first two parts lead. The aim of this work is to outline Augustine's analysis of the doctrine of grace in his autobiographical work, Confessions and subsequently, to estimate the benefits of the concept of manifestations of grace in Confessions for the life of the Christian at the present time. In the first part, the socio-historical background of St. Augustine's life will be discussed followed by his biography and then will follow a brief treatise on Augustine's doctrine of grace. The second part introduces an outline of Augustine's Confessions. There will be a description of the work as a theological autobiography, its structure and its content. In the third part, the concept of manifestations of grace in Confessions will be elaborated, which will be followed by a reflection on the contribution of this concept to Christian life at present.
