The article is devoted to the actual environmental problem of cleaning water bodies. The authors studied the properties of new sorbents obtained from crushed leafy biomass of the southern reed (Phragmites australis) and their use in the pollution of water bodies by accidental oil spills and oil products. Information about the most common cellulose-containing sorbents used to clean up oil spills is given. The prospects of using sorbents based on crushed and carbonized leafy biomass of southern reed (Phragmites australis) for cleaning water bodies are shown. The basis of the technological evaluation of the composition of thermoplastic for road marking is the calculation of production costs associated with a particular technological scheme. In the most General form, any process for obtaining marking thermoplastics consists of the following technological operations: preparation of components; preparation of thermoplastic mixture; rastarivanie and packaging. In principle, such schemes currently exist two: a scheme that determines the production of thermoplastics in the form of a dry mechanical mixture; a scheme that determines the production of thermoplastics in the form of homogeneous fused blocks. Mixing of all components according to the first scheme in the mixer is made within three-five minutes. During mixing, liquid components are added to the mixer, if the latter are provided by the formulation. The finished mixture is discharged through a hole in the bottom of the mixer body. Production under the second scheme has a number of undoubted advantages. This is a thorough dispersion of the components that make up the thermoplastic, which ensures uniformity of its properties in any part of the batch of manufactured material. When transporting the thermoplastic in the container does not require the shelter from atmospheric precipitation and can be stored for unlimited time in unheated warehouses. From the given data it is visible that the developed compositions received as a result of performance of the present work, in comparison with analog possess the raised adhesion to asphalt concrete and elasticity in a temperature range from -10 oC to 20 oC. These indicators allow to draw a conclusion about the best resistance of the developed material in operating conditions, especially at negative temperatures.

Fouling of hydraulic structures with a wide variety of organisms is a worldwide problem. Fouling organisms not only increase the load on technological equipment, but also contribute to the occurrence of bacterial corrosion, including symbiotic. One of the methods of prevention is the use of anti-fouling coatings. Universal anti-fouling coatings do not exist, since the mechanisms of fouling are different. The main ways to create coatings are a decrease in adhesion or the use of biocidal additives. The authors investigated the mechanisms of fouling of the mollusk Dreissena polymorpha in fresh water. For the prevention of mollusk fouling and symbiotic biocorrosion, we analyzed the results of experiments using epoxy coatings containing a biocidal additive (bottoms from aniline production). Based on the experiments, it was concluded that epoxy compositions with biocides for the prevention of fusion of zebra mussel are ineffective. More effective are coatings with low adhesive characteristics, for example, fluoroplastic, but difficult to apply and quite expensive.

Renewable reed biomass has traditionally been used for various purposes. Currently, an energy-dependent society is returning to the use of natural energy sources. The paper is devoted to the study of reed reserves in the Lower Volga region, production technology, and quality assessment of pellets from it. Reed mowing with further production of fuel pellets from biomass will not only provide the local population or small enterprises with energy but also solve a number of environmental problems. The main environmental problem is the high fire hazard of reed beds. The main characteristics of the pellets that have been investigated by the authors are humidity, ash content, calorific value, and the composition of the ash residue. When granulating shredded cormophytic biomass, the main process parameter affecting the fuel pellet quality is the moisture content of the raw materials, which has been determined experimentally. To improve the consumer properties of the granules, binders were also experimentally selected. Binders should not reduce the calorific value and impair the composition of the ash residue

When applying innovations or repeated effective technical solutions of the road sector, it is recommended to use the risk of damage assessment in the project documentation. This gives an opportunity for expert organizations reasonably give a positive conclusion on the project documentation. The method of calculating the risk of harm in the design of the junction to the road, taking into account the basic works of V.V. Stolyarov. A typical example of the study based on the assessment and calculation of the risk of harm is considered. The study is carried out taking into account the Federal law «on technical regulation» and article 15, paragraph 6 of the Federal law «Technical regulations on the safety of buildings and structures» based on the assessment of the risk of failure to achieve the goals and requirements of the Federal law. The probability-theoretical approach, in particular the risk theory, allows to increase safety, comfort and convenience of movement by changing the geometric and transport and operational indicators of roads. The parameters of the curve (radius of curve), the coefficient of adhesion, and the longitudinal slope affect the probability of the car’s stability loss on the radius of the carriageway rounding associated with the car skidding or tilting. This procedure is designed to determine and reduce to the acceptable risk the probability of occurrence of road transport facilities due to imperfections of road conditions (rounding parameters).
