The article is devoted to the theoretical understanding of the impact of digitization on economic legal relations depends on two main stages of digital maturity of the enterprise: 1) digitization and automation, 2) digitization and digital transformation. It was concluded that at the first stage, only a part of the management and control functions are transferred to the digital form, and therefore the change in intra-economic relations concerns the activities of the structural subdivisions of the enterprise's management apparatus: accounting, internal control, contractual, marketing, personnel, planning work. A structural division of information technologies is also being created. In conditions of remote location of the company's structural divisions, organizational unity is ensured based on the use of Internet technologies. Local acts of the enterprise introduce the rules of electronic document management, digital security, preservation of commercial secrets and interaction between structural units based on digital technologies. The impact of digitalization on organizational and economic relations at the first stage consists in the creation of a website on which, in accordance with the requirements of current legislation, business entities publish information about their activities. Licensing of economic activity takes place electronically. Industrial-economic relations at the first stage of digitization consist in the creation of a site by the company to promote the company's manufactured goods and services or ensure contacts with counterparties and consumers, but this does not lead to a change in the company's business model. It is justified that at the second stage of digitalization, the business model of the enterprise changes, the virtualization of its economic activity can be complete or partial. An enterprise can create virtual and real structural subdivisions to carry out business activities in the digital space. For the proper organization of intra-economic relations between them, such economic and legal means as local normative acts of the enterprise and intra-economic contracts can be used. A virtual enterprise can be a complex economic system where there are intrasystem legal relations that have an organizational and economic nature, as well as external industrial and economic and civil legal relations. Purpose: To analyze the four key pillars of virtual organizations and assess the impact of business management solutions on the quality of information management. Design/methodology/approach: The study deeply analyzed the four primary pillars that support a virtual organization, namely its primary goal, common telecommunication/IT network, mutual trust, and people. The research adopted both descriptive and comparative analytical methods, as well as synthetic methods, to study and compare various approaches to managing a virtual organization. The Shapiro-Wilk test determined the adoption of parametric significance tests. Findings: The management process in a virtual organization is intricately connected to the quality of the four main pillars. Especially significant is the role of people, who are considered the primary capital in this organizational model. Efficient management of a virtual organization leads to flexibility, innovation, and achieving effective results through the adept utilization of human and technological resources. Research limitations/implications: While the research provides an extensive understanding of the workings and factors influencing virtual organizations, the findings are based on the views of the 355 respondents, which may limit its generalizability. Practical implications: The findings offer pragmatic guidance for managers and practitioners in the realm of managing virtual organizations. It emphasizes the need to focus on the quality and efficiency of the four main pillars, especially on human resources, to ensure the success and innovation of the virtual organizational model. Originality/value: The article offers a fresh perspective on the research of virtual business cooperation in the 21st century. By amalgamating various research methods and analyzing responses from a diverse group of respondents, it reveals a deeper understanding of the factors that influence the success and management of virtual organizations. The virtual organization (VO) emerged intending to improve products and services in a globalized environment through collaborative work between organizations of different kinds. There is abundant literature around this topic for more than ten years. Today, with the mandatory trend of digital transformation, the aim is to redefine VO concepts and study them in the context of Industry 4.0. This paper will study the evolution of VO, from its beginnings (2010) to 2020, with a systematic literature review (SLR). This SLR will be quantified by a meta-analysis, which will allow an orderly view of the findings found. The lack of attention on the forward and backward supply chain issues, i.e., the transparency between supply chain agents, information sharing, resource deployment, workforce knowledge, waste reduction, cost efficiency, and resource management are the major problems of textile supply chain. The coordination of forward and backward supply chain becomes difficult due to the players' self-interest and firmographics. It becomes much complicated when we consider the triple bottom line of sustainability (TBLS) in the supply chain. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an Industry 4.0 (I4.0) based virtual organization model for the coordination of the forward and backward supply chain. The results obtained through virtual organization model are also compared with the centralized supply chain and traditional cost-sharing contract. The results reveal that virtual organization model can perform better than the price only contract and it will be help firms in achieving greater sustainability with respect to traditional contract mechanisms.

Scientific applications often require substantial amount of computing resources for running challenging jobs potentially consisting of many tasks from hundreds of thousands to even millions. As a result, many institutions collaborate to solve large-scale problems by creating virtual organizations (VOs), and integrate hundreds of thousands of geographically distributed heterogeneous computing resources. Over the past decade, VOs have been proven to be a powerful research testbed for accessing massive amount of computing resources shared by several organizations at almost no cost. However, VOs often suffer from providing exact dynamic resource information due to their scale and autonomous resource management policies. Furthermore, shared resources are inconsistent, making it difficult to accurately forecast resource capacity. An effective VO's resource profiling and modeling system can address these problems by forecasting resource characteristics and availability. This paper presents effective resource profiling and performance prediction models including Adaptive Filter-based Online Linear Regression (AFOLR) and Adaptive Filter-based Moving Average (AFMV) based on the linear difference equation combining past predicted values and recent profiled information, which aim to support large-scale applications in distributed scientific computing environments. We performed quantitative analysis and conducted microbenchmark experiments on a real multinational shared computing platform. Our evaluation results demonstrate that the proposed prediction schemes outperform well-known common approaches in terms of accuracy, and actually can help users in a shared resource environment to run their large-scale applications by effectively forecasting various computing resource capacity and performance. The article is devoted to a new model for organizing production activities that is adequate to the challenges of digitalization – virtual organizations. The authors show that the widespread adoption of virtual organizations that have no clear boundaries in space and time over the past decade gives rise to new management problems. Old management models based on hierarchy, authoritarian approach, and punishment / reward as the main motivators are not effective in virtual teams. Traditional transactional leadership should be replaced by transformational leadership, which involves an individual approach, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence and inspiring motivation. The authors indicate the social and psychological difficulties of the spread of transformational leadership. The paper emphasizes the need for the formation of leadership, managerial and digital competencies for effective leadership in project virtual teams.

The optimization of energy use in family homes and public buildings is an ongoing topic of discussion. State-of-the-art research has almost always focused on reducing the consumption of heating systems, air-conditioning or lighting. Despite their importance, user-related variables, such as comfort, are normally not included in the optimization process. These aspects should be considered to be able to effectively minimize energy consumption. Thus, there is a need for a comprehensive energy optimization approach, one that will consider both climatological factors and user behaviour. Learning about user behaviour is key to effective optimization. In this work, the proposed architecture's capacity to organize Virtual Agent Organizations (VAO) allows it to adapt to highly variable user behavior and preferences. This agent methodology has the ability to manage Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) to obtain user preferences and predict their behaviour in the home or building. The proposed approach has been tested in two different buildings, a traditional-construction house and a modular home, obtaining savings of 30.16% and 13.43%, respectively. These results validate the proposed mixed approach of temperature adjustment algorithms together with the extraction of user behavior patterns for the establishment of a threshold based on preferences. The article contemplates and characters the main stages of development of organizational structures of logistic management that are appropriate for big and middle-size companies doing business in developed economies. The author has identified key modern trends of logistic management in companies focusing on such issues as centralization and decentralization of logistic management, the role of modern technologies in changing of the status of logistics in a company. There are positive and negative aspects of different forms of logistic management described in the article.

Virtual organization and blockchain are two newly emerging technologies that researchers are exploring their potentials to solve many information and communication technology unaddressed problems and challenges. Health care is one of the sectors that are very dynamic and it is in need of constant improvement in the quest to better the quality of cares and reduce cost. One of the hotline of research in the sector is the use of information and communication technology to provide health care and this is where the concept of virtual healthcare is relevant. In virtual healthcare patients and care providers are collaborating in virtual settings where two of the most difficult challenges are verifying and validating the identity of the communicating parties and the information exchanged. In this paper we propose a conceptual framework using blochchain technology to address the health care provider and record verification and validation issue. The framework is specific to healthcare systems developed based on Virtual Breeding Environment and Virtual Organization. We outline and explain each step in the framework and demonstrate its applicability in a simple healthcare scenario. This paper contributes towards the continuing effort to address user identity and information verification and validation issues in virtual settings in general and in healthcare in specific.
