This paper explores the role of virtual libraries in community college settings, focusing on strategies to enhance access, inclusivity, and collaboration. Drawing upon examples from UCNJ Libraries, the paper examines how virtual libraries can address challenges such as digital literacy gaps, collaboration with academic departments, and technology infrastructure limitations. It also highlights opportunities for virtual libraries to expand their reach globally, foster collaborative partnerships, and leverage emerging technologies to innovate service delivery. Through initiatives such as live chat support, screen-sharing features, and strategic collaborations with academic institutions and industry stakeholders, virtual libraries can enhance user experiences, promote knowledge sharing, and advance academic excellence. By embracing these opportunities, virtual libraries can effectively support the diverse needs of community college students and faculty, ultimately enriching the educational landscape and fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. The rapid technological advancements and the widespread adoption of the internet have diminished the role of the physical library as a main information resource. As the Metaverse is evolving, a revolutionary change is anticipated in how social relationships are perceived, within an educational context. It is therefore necessary for libraries to upgrade the services they provide to keep in line with the technological trends and be a part of this virtual revolution. It is believed that the design and development of a Virtual Reality (VR) library can be the community and knowledge hub the society needs. In this paper, the process of creating a partially digital replica of the Limassol Municipal University Library, a landmark for the city of Limassol, is examined by using photogrammetry and 3D modelling. A 3D platform was developed, where users have the perception that they are experiencing the actual library. To that end, a perceptual study was conducted, to understand the current usage of physical libraries, examine the users’ experience in VR, and identify the requirements and expectations in the development of a virtual library counterpart. Following the suggestions and observations from the perceptual study, five key scenarios were implemented that demonstrate the potential use of a virtual library. This work incorporates the fundamental VR attributes, such as immersiveness, realism, user interactivity and feedback as well as other features, such as animated NPCs, 3D audio, ray-casting and GUIs, that significantly augment the overall VR library user experience, presence as well as navigation autonomy. The main effort of this project was to produce a VR representation of an existing physical library, integrated with its key services, as a proof-of-concept, with emphasis on easy 24/7 access, functionality, and interactivity. The above attributes differentiate this work from existing studies. Book reading is an old form entertainment and information for decades; the community is still thriving and prospering. But as the coins always have two halves, issue of eye strain is a common phenomenon as studies show that from prolonged reading from physical mediums contributes to visual fatigue in over 60% of readers. Thus, in this paper we propose an immersive virtual environment with ergonomic reading experiences, the project aims to alleviate these concerns and help the way people engage with literature, via a more comfortable and sustainable medium. This research introduces a Virtual Reality Library aiming to reduce the discomfort associated with traditional reading. Leveraging Blender, Unity, and Oculus, the solution presents books in an expanded, floating format while allowing users to customize their immersive environment. Virtual libraries are essential in strengthening research and education, especially in universities in the Dominican Republic. Despite facing various challenges, they offer services in physical spaces. This study examines the relevance of system quality, service quality, information quality, and staff interaction on student satisfaction and loyalty toward these physical virtual libraries. A survey of 531 students was analyzed using SPSS and PLS-SEM. Findings show that staff interaction positively affects user loyalty, though not satisfaction. Additionally, system quality, information quality, and service quality continue to positively influence user satisfaction, which, in turn, affects user loyalty. Objectives: The main purpose of this article is to achieve the main challenges of not using library applications. To achieve this goal, three basic questions were raised: what are the three main challenges of using mobile library applications? What is the priority of these challenges in Iranian university libraries? What is the communication model for these challenges?Methods: This research is of an applied-developmental type with a mixed Method approach, because a part of the data is collected from the study of texts and qualitative content analysis, and another part is obtained from the survey, and for modeling, the structural-interpretive method, which is a quantitative method. The research community in the first part: articles of the 10-year period from 2010 to 2020 with the keywords "library", "application", and "mobile", have been used in ProQuest, Science Direct, Elsevier, Emerald, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases. The collection tool in the second part of this research was a 25-question questionnaire made by the researcher based on the Likert scale; the community of the second part included librarians of medical sciences libraries in Tehran and specialists in the design of simulations, whose number was about 70 people. And the research community in the third part included two groups: 7 library and information professors, 7 application design specialists, and a total of 14 people as an expert panel based on targeted sampling with the criteria of designing at least 1 successful application for specialists and carrying out a research project practical or theoretical for professors.Results: The study of various texts showed that there are 5 main challenges for using mobile applications in libraries: challenges related to the financial situation, cultural challenges, technical challenges, knowledge and expertise challenges, and interpersonal communication challenges. The prioritization of these challenges from the point of view of library professors and experts in the field of applications were cultural, financial, knowledge and expertise, technical, and interpersonal communication challenges, which were different from the results obtained from the structural-quantitative modeling section; In the structural-interpretive modeling section, these challenges are divided into two: 1. Technical, knowledge and specialization and cultural challenges, these challenges have a great power of influence as well as the power of dependence, they are also related to each other and to the challenges of the second level; But the challenges of the second level, which include; 2. financial and interpersonal communication challenges; which are very close to the first level in terms of influence and dependence, but these two challenges are actually more effective than the first level from the point of view of experts, in the sense that the challenges of the first level are often considered as fixed challenges, while the challenges of the second level can be changed and They have more adjustments. Among the components of the second level of the financial challenge in MICMAC analysis, it was identified as a key component; As it is drawn in the model, this challenge has a general and major impact on other challenges, and changes in it can change other challenges and even solve the challenge in some cases.Conclusions: Library administrators and planners can be advised to use cultural library applications first to pursue cultural issues because changes in financial challenges do not seem to be within their control.

Health sciences libraries serving universities and medical facilities have long used technology to provide library services, but COVID-19 presented libraries with unique challenges. Libraries shut their doors and adapted to conducting reference, instruction, and outreach, remotely. For some libraries described in Virtual Services in the Health Sciences Library: a Handbook, those services had been done in the library; for others, the library had considered adding virtual services. For those libraries that have not made the jump, this text presents strategies to which all health sciences libraries would find a useful reference. Given its practical strategies and engaging text, this reviewer finds Virtual Services in the Health Sciences Library: a Handbook to be an inspiring and a highly recommended reference for health sciences libraries.

In Nigeria, open and distance learning has become widely accepted. Even though there are a myriad of educational problems, workers, politicians, school leavers, and the public are finding the distance learning system a convenient and flexible mode to acquire education. Libraries are indispensable in every facet of higher education. Adequate library support for distance learners is mandatory for the qualitative delivery of instruction and learning. The development of hybrid libraries has definite benefits for distance learners. It is imperative to create virtual learning environments and libraries without borders to reach multitudes of learners at various locations. Several institutions are approved to run distance learning. Eight distance-learning university libraries were purposively selected to examine the status of hybrid library services aimed at reaching distance learners. These include the Federal University of Technology Library, Minna, University of Maiduguri Library, University of Abuja Library, Ahmadu Bello University Library Zaria, National Open University of Nigeria Library, Olabisi Onabanjo University Library, Ago-Iwoye, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Library, Port Harcourt and Joseph Ayo Babalola University Library. The objectives of the study were to determine the status of library services in ODL institutions in Nigeria, analyse the form of library service most suitable to distant learners in Nigeria, examine the challenges confronting distance learning in Nigeria and determine the challenges in providing timely library services to distant learners in Nigeria. This paper examines the penetration of distance learning in Nigeria and the suitability of hybrid library services provided to distant learners. It examines the challenges in creating and delivering well-integrated and functional library services for distance education and the prospects of a hybrid library in a developing country like Nigeria. This paper investigates the effects of virtual library on the academic performance of undergraduate students in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, Benue State University, Makurdi. A case study design is used for the study. The population of the study comprises 392 undergraduate medical students of the department, and the sample size of 198 undergraduate medical students is used based on Taro Yamane's model. The instrument adopts for data collection is questionnaire. The data collected are analyzed using simple percentages and presented in tables. The findings of the study reveal that majority of the undergraduate medical students are not properly conversant with the facilities in the virtual library, the extent of their use of virtual library is very low because they are choked with series of lectures and clinical engagements, and the utilization of virtual library resources has position effects on their academic performance without any negative impact. In addition, the study finds out that the challenges hampering the effective use of virtual library by the medical undergraduate students are unstable power supply, poor or fluctuating internet connectivity, and lack of free space to consult the virtual library resources. Based on the findings, the study recommends that the administrators of the Department of Medicine and Surgery in collaboration with the College of Health Sciences should organize series of seminars to sensitize the undergraduate medical students on the importance of the facilities housed in the virtual library. Equally, there should be provision of adequate power supply, adequate and sufficient internet connectivity in the virtual library, and sufficient break time from lectures and clinical engagements should be allocated to encourage the effective use of virtual library. Background. This work presents a novel computational multi-reference polyconformational algorithm for design, optimization, and repositioning of pharmaceutical compounds. Methods. The algorithm searches for candidates by comparing similarities between conformers of the same compound and identifies target compounds, whose conformers are collectively close to the conformers of each compound in the reference set. Reference compounds may possess highly variable MoAs, which directly, and simultaneously, shape the properties of target candidate compounds. Results. The algorithm functionality has been case study validated in silico, by scoring ChEMBL drugs against FDA-approved reference compounds that either have the highest predicted binding affinity to our chosen SARS-CoV-2 targets or are confirmed to be inhibiting such targets in-vivo. All our top scoring ChEMBL compounds also turned out to be either high-affinity ligands to the chosen targets (as confirmed in separate studies) or show significant efficacy, in-vivo, against those selected targets. In addition to method case study validation, in silico search for new compounds within two virtual libraries from the Enamine database is presented. The library's virtual compounds have been compared to the same set of reference drugs that we used for case study validation: Olaparib, Tadalafil, Ergotamine and Remdesivir. The large reference set of four potential SARS-CoV-2 compounds has been selected, since no drug has been identified to be 100% effective against the virus so far, possibly because each candidate drug was targeting only one, particular MoA. The COVID-19 pandemic brought rapid and radical changes to higher education, and academic libraries adapted and devised solutions. This article will review the initiatives that the University of Manitoba Libraries (UML) implemented prior to the pandemic, as well as the library's response, focusing on the performance of these initiatives in the past two years. These initiatives are new service models including a fully virtual library, new technologies, such as self-service lockers, and structural reorganization, for example, the creation of functional teams. The review will demonstrate how the above initiatives ensured the continuity of library services during the pandemic. The pandemic is viewed as a touchstone that tested the trends of the academic library community in an extreme situation. This article aimed to describe how important the existence of virtual libraries is as a learning resource in online social studies learning, because virtual libraries provide the widest possible access by anyone, anywhere, anytime to dig up various information that can later be used by students, educators, and even. The principal of this study utilized descriptive qualitative research methods. This research was motivated by the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak which resulted in many changes and technological developments that drove the comprehensive digitization process. The conditions during a pandemic by requiring online learning are the route chosen to keep the education system running. The role of technology is very visible and very impactful in times like this. In addition to the human resources and supporting technology that are prepared, the components in learning must also be prepared to support learning online. One of these components is a virtual library that is easy to use and useful as a learning resource and learning support. In addition, virtual libraries can improve students' abilities in terms of reading so that they can increase knowledge which has an impact on increasing student achievement. Introduction: The Uncensored Library is a virtual anti-censorship library, created in 2020 within the game Minecraft by Reporters Without Borders to circumvent censorship in countries where access to information is restricted. Objective: Its purpose is to discuss The Uncensored Library as a means of access to censored information in countries identified as limiting freedom of the press; examine their adequacy and the characteristics of virtual libraries and reflect on the application of content curation in their collection composition. Methodology: As a method, an exploratory study of a theoretical nature was undertaken, configured as a case study. Systematic observation, bibliographic and documentary research were used for data collection. Result: verifies it can be characterized as a virtual library with limitations. In the construction of the collection, it is noticed that a still rustic form of content curation has been applied, but that the process has the potential to be applied in other initiatives of this kind. Conclusion: The Uncensored Library has limitations on access to hosted items, however, it achieves the purpose of sharing censored articles in countries predatory of press freedom. This article presents the project "Virtual Benedictine library Millstatt" (www.virtbibmillstatt.com/), which is dedicated to the cultural memory and educational history of Carinthia in the broadest sense. It aims to reconstruct the hitherto little-known and little-researched corpus of manuscripts from the Benedictine Abbey of Millstatt, to identify its texts, and to shed light on their history of use. Against the background of the eventful history of ownership of the Millstatt library, the problems that arise when trying to reliably assign manuscripts scattered around the world to the Millstatt corpus are outlined. Examples will be used to show the extent to which external features (binding, signature system, accessories), but also text-internal indications, make the origin and ownership history of the manuscripts traceable. Spectacular new finds are presented, but also erroneous assumptions about the affiliation of certain texts to the reading canon of the Millstatt Benedictines are pointed out. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Eumelanin is responsible for photoprotection in living organisms. It is made of 5,6‐dihydroxyindole (DHI) oligomers. However, lack of detailed structural knowledge limits understanding its function and exploiting its potential in material science. To uncover the relationship between structural stability and optical properties, we have studied a virtual library of 830 DHI dimers. We find a preference for oxidized, polycyclic structures which speaks in favor of graphite‐like structures for the larger oligomers, and propose an electrocyclic formation mechanism. Besides widely considered quinone oxidation patterns, also structures with interfragment double bonds and zwitterionic resonance structures are stable. Future theoretical melanine models will have to cover this diversity, and we introduce a new representative set of 49 stable dimers. Some stable oxidized dimers have absorption energies as low as 1.3 eV. They may be present as substructures in the naturally found oligomers and contribute to the absorption spectrum of the biopolymer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we present models for the analysis of the behavior of the virtual library (VL) users. Unlike the models presented in the literature, they use only the big data that is stored in the log files of virtual library servers and methods of statistics, association rules, and recommendation systems. The proposed models were implemented with R software. Using the proposed models, the analysis of the behavior of VL users of Lithuanian research and study of higher education institutions was performed for the first time. The results showed that the proposed models allow to operatively analyze the behavior of virtual library users using advanced search filters, facets, and provide suggestions for improvement of service quality.

We report computer-aided design of new lactone–chalcone and isatin–chalcone (HLCIC) inhibitors of the falcipain-2 (PfFP-2). 3D models of 15 FP-2:HLCIC1-15 complexes with known observed activity (IC50exp) were prepared to establish a quantitative structure–activity (QSAR) model and linear correlation between relative Gibbs free energy of enzyme:inhibitor complex formation (ΔΔGcom) and IC50exp: pIC50exp = −0.0236 × ΔΔGcom+5.082(#); R2 = 0.93. A 3D pharmacophore model (PH4) derived from the QSAR directed our effort to design novel HLCIC analogues. During the design, an initial virtual library of 2621440 HLCIC was focused down to 18288 drug-like compounds and finally, PH4 screened to identify 81 promising compounds. Thirty-three others were added from an intuitive substitution approach intended to fill better the enzyme S2 pocket. One hundred and fourteen theoretical IC50 (IC50pre) values were predicted by means of (#) and their pharmacokinetics (ADME) profiles. More than 30 putative HLCICs display IC50pre 100 times superior to that of the published most active training set inhibitor HLCIC1.

Abstract Biogenic compounds are important materials for drug discovery and chemical biology. In this work, we report a quasi-biogenic molecule generator (QBMG) to compose virtual quasi-biogenic compound libraries by means of gated recurrent unit recurrent neural networks. The library includes stereo-chemical properties, which are crucial features of natural products. QMBG can reproduce the property distribution of the underlying training set, while being able to generate realistic, novel molecules outside of the training set. Furthermore, these compounds are associated with known bioactivities. A focused compound library based on a given chemotype/scaffold can also be generated by this approach combining transfer learning technology. This approach can be used to generate virtual compound libraries for pharmaceutical lead identification and optimization.

In Library 2.0, the library runs two spaces: the physical and the virtual. To many users, the “e-library” is their first and primary contact with the library, where they access library materials and interact with the knowledge of librarians. To many librarians, this is their important service point, where Facebook, Twitter, Mashups, cloud computing, and numerous new technologies provide the opportunities to hook users with the library and the knowledge it houses. Yet many organizations do not have a web strategy that is in alignment with the overall organization’s strategy. As a result the e-library is understaffed. The presenter discusses what is involved in running an e-library, and proposes a staff model to make an e-library successful.

Goal. The paper aims to present the database of links of virtual libraries designed by school librarians, in order to highlight the importance of the school libraries' role in e-learning and the use of new technologies in education. Approach/methodology. The paper presents an analysis of virtual libraries available in the repository of the school librarianship UDK02, the Croatian network of school librarians. The classification, i.e. the taxonomy of repository content was created with the list of topics, subtopics, and digital tools used by school librarians. Results. The Croatian Library Repository UDK02 contains links to 243 virtual libraries (183 primary and 60 secondary school libraries). Practical implementation. By uniting all virtual libraries in one place, the librarians and all other users have access to a large number of different information. Besides, this website could be the starting page for one joint page for all librarians in the future. Limitations. It is necessary to constantly update virtual pages of all libraries and check the links because some links are no longer available after some time, and also publish our own new materials. Social significance. The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 disease has had a huge impact on society as a whole. The school librarians have aimed to reduce/mitigate all elements of the negative impact with the activities of virtual libraries. The school librarians have continued to support the educational process by referring to available learning and teaching online materials. Originality. The paper presents some high-quality solutions of school librarians in providing services to their users during the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 disease and after the closure of libraries at the national level. Furthermore, the paper emphasizes the importance of the school library visibility and the library's importance as a reinforcement to the educational process. During the first lockdown in March 2020, the Vienna Public Libraries had the task of making their diverse offers accessible to all Viennese residents. Since it was not possible to visit the branches, they moved into Virtuality. The article describes how it was possible to make media and all events available within a very short period of time and to support pedagogues in their work - completely free of charge! The purpose of this paper is to investigate the perceptions and use of the virtual library by undergraduate students at the International University of Management, Namibia. This study used the quantitative research approach. Two hundred and eighty-six (286) copies of a selfadministered questionnaire, comprising closed and open-ended questions were used to collect data from the students. In addition, a semistructured interview schedule was used to collect data from the Reference Librarian. The findings revealed that most users were aware of the virtual library; however, the level of awareness was relatively higher than the use. Further, the study observed that the pattern of use differed in terms of frequency, preference and location of access. The study also established that most respondents perceived the virtual library as useful and easy to use. Some of the challenges hindering the effective use of the virtual libraries range from Internet interruption, inadequate computers in the library to lack of skills required for virtual library use, were established. This work aimed to map the digital curation actions, which include the active management and preservation of information, in the virtual library Community Virtual Librarian (CVL) of the Second Life environment (SL), the project called Internacional Virtual Worlds Database, which aims to categorize, describe, preserve and make communities in the virtual world more publicly accessible. This is an exploratory and bibliographic research. Data collection was carried out by direct immersive observation in the SL environment by the authors, as well as by applying a questionnaire to the virtual library manager who also manages the referred project. From the information collected, based on the Digital Curation Center (DCC) life cycle model, the actions already carried out in the library that can contribute to the digital curation of existing objects in this environment were mapped. As a result, it was possible to observe that the implementation of the stages of digital curation are already related to the activities of the observed virtual spaces. However, these activities are incomplete and need to be better planned, formalized / documented, in order to guarantee the preservation of the existing information in the virtual world in an integral, reliable and lasting way. The Transportation Resource Exchange Center (T-REX) is a first-of-its-kind Virtual Library dedicated to providing information about the transportation of radioactive materials to stakeholders. Guided by the principles of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) planning and decision-making process, the Web site was created to serve as a “one-stop shop,” neutral source for information, to facilitate public involvement, overcome information gaps, and foster clearer communication and understanding among and between stakeholders regarding their issues of concern. Stakeholders are a diverse group with varying knowledge and interest. The TREX was designed and is maintained to meet their differing needs. Several innovative features were created and implemented to maximize user friendliness and application utility of the T-REX. Prior to the creation of the T-REX Web site, two tools were developed to identify the gaps between potential users’ questions and the information that was available regarding stakeholder issues, so that user friendliness and application utility might be maximized by the Web site. The T-REX User Needs Assessment assessed the information needs and preferences of potential users representing the US Department of Energy (DOE) and non-DOE stakeholders. The National Transportation Information Resource Survey surveyed libraries and DOE reading rooms to identify what documents and kinds of information were available and where they were housed. In the most basic sense, the results produced by these two tools informed the T-REX designers of what information related to radioactive material transportation is available and which information is the most highly prized by the users. As an example, environmental issues and current news are two of the most-highly prized subjects of both DOE and non-DOE stakeholders. Daily updates from the US and around the world can be found on the Headlines Web page at http://www.trex-center.org/nuevo.asp. From the user assessment information, a broad range of subject categories were complied, including Carriers, Education/Training, Emergency Management, Health, Laws/Regulations, Packaging, Public Participation, Routes, States, Students/Teachers, and Tribal. Another aspect of study identified, compiled, and categorized all public comments and responses regarding transportation issues from DOE Environmental Impacts Statements (EIS) from 1995 to the present. The EIS is a detailed report, which must include any adverse environmental effects that cannot be avoided should the proposal be implemented, as well as include alternatives to the proposed action. Furthermore, as mandated by NEPA, the EIS must include the relationship between local short-term uses of the human environment and the maintenance and enhancement of long-term productivity, as well as any irreversible and irretrievable commitments of resources that would be involved in the proposed action. At specified times in the EIS process, the federal agency that seeks to initiate the proposed action is required to provide early notification to interested parties and solicit their views. During the comment periods, the stakeholders may ask questions or offer comments/responses orally or in writing to the federal agency in charge regarding the environmental impact or proposed remedies of the action. This T-REX study of EIS comments/responses was conducted to determine comment trends and produce a user-friendly set of frequently-asked-questions-and-answers. In addition to the resultant EIS Comment/Response Searchable Database, the products emerging from this effort are the Risk Communication Annotated Bibliography and the Routes Annotated Bibliography. Within the T-REX Virtual Library, the TRAM Search Engine was designed to provide instantaneous results when a user queries the system for the DOE or non-DOE individuals or organizations that possess expertise or specific information regarding any aspect of the transportation process. There are over 850 individuals or groups listed in the TRAM. The TRAM database provides information including background or history, corporate ICOET 2001 Proceedings 646 A Time for Action affiliates, geographic scope, information products, and contact information of the individuals or organizations that possess expertise or specific information regarding the transportation process. The logical data design of the TRAM is also based on the results of the user assessment and provider survey. The TRAM is located at http://trex-center.org/thetram.asp. Several other features of the T-REX have been established to overcome information gaps. The T-REX-L, the listserv® to provide bulletins to T-REX patrons, is located at http://www.trex-center.org/list.asp. A toll free telephone information hotline is available at (877) 287-TREX (8739). The T-REXDEX is the searchable database of over 1,500 online documents in the T-REX Virtual Library and is located at http://trex-center.org/dexsearch.asp. The Reference Desk Web page links the T-REX pages that contain links to reference sources such as DOE Databases, DOE Public Reading Rooms and Libraries, DOE and other pertinent Online Serials, Glossaries, and Fact Sheets. The Reference Desk is located at http://trex-center.org/reference.asp. Portions of the T-REX also have been translated into the Spanish language, with plans to translate more sections in the future. The T-REX is built on the assumption that the management of radioactive materials transport information for DOE and non-DOE stakeholders is like other bodies of knowledge. The collection, organization, and dissemination of this information is a complex and time-consuming process. The T-REX staff will ensure that users have the stakeholder information they need and that it is provided with maximum efficiency, user friendliness, and reliability. The two overarching goals in establishing and maintaining the T-REX Web site regarding the transportation of radioactive wastes and materials are: (1) Creating the premier online information resource for the “Nuclear Family,” as well as the Global Community, and (2) Ensuring that the TREX Web site is highly-visible, well-known, and trusted by stakeholders. To the degree that the current trend continues toward greater collaboration among nations regarding radioactive waste management decisions, solutions, and transportation, the T-REX Web site is apt to become increasingly international in scope. In the future, the T-REX Web site may develop more international features and emphasis to better reach world audiences and international stakeholders. We report computer-aided design of new lactone–chalcone and isatin–chalcone (HLCIC) inhibitors of the falcipain-2 (PfFP-2). 3D models of 15 FP-2:HLCIC1-15 complexes with known observed activity (IC50exp) were prepared to establish a quantitative structure–activity (QSAR) model and linear correlation between relative Gibbs free energy of enzyme:inhibitor complex formation (ΔΔGcom) and IC50exp: pIC50exp = −0.0236 × ΔΔGcom+5.082(#); R2 = 0.93. A 3D pharmacophore model (PH4) derived from the QSAR directed our effort to design novel HLCIC analogues. During the design, an initial virtual library of 2621440 HLCIC was focused down to 18288 drug-like compounds and finally, PH4 screened to identify 81 promising compounds. Thirty-three others were added from an intuitive substitution approach intended to fill better the enzyme S2 pocket. One hundred and fourteen theoretical IC50 (IC50pre) values were predicted by means of (#) and their pharmacokinetics (ADME) profiles. Timing resilient design has shown significant promise in mitigating the excess margins associated with rare worst-case data and increased process, voltage, and temperature variations. However, resilient circuits need error detecting sequential logic (EDL) to detect timing errors which incur area and power overhead. This paper proposes two alternatives to reduce the overhead in two-phase latch-based resilient circuits. The first is a new resiliency-aware graph-based approach to solve the retiming problem. The second uses a virtual resynthesis library to enable commercial synthesis tools to recognize the EDL overhead and optimize total area during retiming. We compare both approaches to a commercially standard retiming approach, which ignores the resiliency overheads, on a wide variety of benchmarks. Our experimental results show that our methods are computationally efficient and reduce the total circuit area by an average of up to 10%–15% when compared to traditional retiming.
