In recent era of IoT, energy ingesting by sensor nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is one of the key challenges. It is decisive to diminish energy ingesting due to restricted battery lifespan of sensor nodes, Objective of this research is to develop efficient routing protocol/algorithm in IoT based scenario to enhance network performance with QoS parameters. Therefore, keeping this objective in mind, a QoS based Optimized Energy Clustering Routing (QOECR) protocol for IoT based WSN is proposed and evaluated. QOECR discovers optimal path for sink node and provides better selection for sub-sink nodes. Simulation has been done in MATLAB to assess the performance of QOECR with pre-existing routing protocols. Simulation outcomes represent that QOECR reduces E2E delay 30%-35%, enhances throughput 25%-30%, minimizes energy consumption 35%-40%, minimizes packet loss 28%-32%, improves PDR and prolongs network lifetime 32%-38% than CBCCP, HCSM and ZEAL routing protocols.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) plays a significant role in the field of surveillance, monitoring the real time applications. Regardless its strong ability to handle such tasks, it is difficult to maintain a trade-off between the conflicting goals of network lifetime, transmission delay, high coverage and packet loss. Various solutions have been proposed by the researchers to address these issues comprising the solution in real-time network scenarios. This paper delivers a brief analysis of the solutions addressing recent research problems in WSN comprising conflicting goals, i.e. multi-objective optimization (MOO) technique. Firstly, an illustration of key optimization objective in WSNs is given which constitutes existing issues such as power control, rate control ant routing. Then, an elaboration of various objective functions used in MOO with its merits and demerits is also provided. Later, existing approaches for improving optimizing metric, applications performance of existing approaches and proposed architecture have been discussed.

Background: MANET is a constrained environment having limited energy, restricted bandwidth, and unstable wireless connectivity, etc. It creates a high demand to design an efficient QoS routing protocol having a multi-criteria metric to make efficient routing decisions. Aims: This work is to enhance end-to-end network throughput. To achieve our aim we optimized MBQA-OLSR, which is an enhancement of MP-OLSR. MP-OLSR is enhancement of OLSR, which is a prominent proactive routing protocol. Main advantageous concept in OLSR is selection of MPR nodes that minimize excessive transmission of control packets. Selected MPR nodes should carry enough battery to increase network life time. Which is acquired by selecting QoS qualified efficient nodes to transmit data packets. EB-OLSR set out analogous efficient mobile nodes for routing by applying newly defined multi-criteria metric EPNI (Efficiency Parameters for Node Indexing) which estimates the node’s efficiency index on the basis of four QoS parameters that are unconsumed power, slothful period, queue length and residual bandwidth.s links, it is due to poor quality unstable links; hence link quality is another work of this paper. Method: We obtained a single node index for each mobile node through EPNI metric based on residual battery, node idle time, packet queue length and residual bandwidth. Result: EB-OLSR produced aggregate network throughput enhancement of 574 bits per second in comparison of MP-OLSR and 390.66 bits per second in comparison to MBQA-OLSR. Average End-to-End Delay for EB-OLSR is 0.41, 0.16 times less and Packet Delivery Ratio enhances 30.74%, 9.5% respectively. It has been observed from simulation experiments that EB-OLSR outer perform other compared similar kind of routing protocols at different network sizes. In proposed work, EPNI metric is defined to get weighted sum of multiple criteria and it is considered to make decision for routing data packets. Single valued multiple criteria evaluation helps to simplify relationship and priority between multiple criteria and combined them in a single node index. Hence along with optimized throughput control overheads are also minimized. EB-OLSR is energy efficient and bandwidth aware optimized link state routing protocol, which successfully meet the main aim of this study i.e. throughput enhancement of mobile ad-hoc network. Aggregate throughput enhances 574 bits per second in comparison of MP-OLSR and 390.66 bits per second in comparison of MBQA-OLSR. Average End-to-End Delay for EB-OLSR is 0.41, 0.16 times less in comparison of MP-OLSR, MBQA-OLSR respectively. Packet delivery ratio enhances 30.74% in comparison of MP-OLSR and 9.5% in comparison of MBQA-OLSR. Performance analyzes at varying traffic load shows only slighter improvement. In this study, we put fixed weights to every considered metric according to general priority. In future, we will study the priorities of metrics in different network scenarios like at varying node speeds, at different mobility patterns, etc to see whether priorities of metrics changes in different scenario or not.

Internet of Things (IoT) plays an important role in various applications such as industrial control system, environmental monitoring, fire detection, smart home and much more. In today’s scenarios data transmission in emergency rescue is a challenging issue with respect of energy efficient. In this paper, an Energy Efficient Emergency Rescue Scheme (EEERS) is proposed and evaluated which transfers reliable data with high speed and minimum delay in the field of IoT. The simulation is done on MATLAB on different size of network 100–500 sensor nodes. Proposed routing scheme EEERS is compared with existing routing protocols SAR and SPEED on different parameters namely end-to-end delay, throughput, energy consumption, packet loss and packet delivery ratio. Simulation results show that EEERS minimizes end-to-end delay 30–35%, increases throughput 40–42%, reduces energy consumption 50–55%, minimizes packet loss 60–65% and enhances packet delivery ratio 36–40% in emergency rescue environment of IoT. EEERS works on large size of network and prolongs network lifetime.

Recently, Social Networking is a significant function in human life. It is a foremost communication medium in the middle of persons and associations. Generally, Online Social Media Sites (OSMS) is used with the intention of developing and categorizing illegal behavior in social networking. Therefore, we decided to identify the malicious consumer nodes by the help of ANN through evaluating the response of the chat discussion/remark situation. At last, the ‘Protégé’ tool is used to illustrate the exchange of messages from the distrustful node for upcoming large-scale indication. The anticipated method is executed in the functioning platform of JAVA among Big Data Analytics with Hadoop.

A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an effective sensing technology that is used to replicate the human capability of sensing, collecting, computing, processing and transmitting the data that is collected from a very large area. In recent past, sensor technology has shown tremendous development in the field of environment & health monitoring, military surveillance, vehicle tracking, and detection. The participating sensor nodes are prone to failure because of limited resources. The topology of the networks is highly dynamic in nature because of frequent failure of the sensor nodes. The Quality of Service support to highly dynamic networks is one of the challenging tasks. The dynamic nature, unpredictable topology, the demand of miniature size of the devices, tiny size of sensors and limited resources attract the researchers towards the designing of QoS aware protocols. This paper has discussed the architecture, applications, life cycle and types of WSN. Further, various QoS protocols, their limitations, and challenges have also been discussed. Further, this paper presents the most important open issues and challenges in providing QoSs provisioning to the WSN as QoS routing, energy consumption, bandwidth utilization, security, and mobility. This comprehensive review surely helps the researchers to find the new existing challenges and also help them to design new research problems for their future work.

A wireless sensor network is a collection of a large number of sensors nodes densely deployed. Sensor nodes are used to sense environmental data and collect information at a central place. Sensors have been a regular part in our daily life, they can be very much used in isolation to solve many problems like in car, ac, and to measure temperature, sound, pollution levels, humidity, wind speed direction and pressure. They can be used in isolation. But the important focus is on some crucial applications where human life is associated, environmental is associated for example the battlefields, earth quick monitoring, flood monitoring, weather forecasting etc. These are some of the biggest applications which need the invention of sensor nodes rather than manual human forces. Here sensor nodes cannot work in isolation because one sensor cannot gather appropriate data. Therefore, it is needed to deploy a large number of sensor nodes, which can exchange data through some communication strategy or protocol, and thereafter the data should be maintained to a common place where some action should be taken. For providing efficient applications among these sensor nodes, an efficient routing protocol or algorithm needs which could provide the QoS to the end user. Most of the routing protocols for WSNs are designed without explicitly considering the Quality of Service (QoS) of the generated routes. It has been observed that such routing protocols are inadequate at the time of data delivery route which requires guaranteed QoS. QoS routing requires discovering a route from source to destination to fulfill the QoS necessities. QoS is more complicated to assurance in sensor network due to dynamic topology and energy constraints. In this paper, recent issues and challenges have been considered in terms of research gap yet, QoS routing approaches have been deliberated, distribution of literature over recent years and QoS parameters distribution over recent years have been exposed, which are valuable for researchers for further investigation.

Background & Objective: Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consist of huge number of tiny senor nodes. WSN collects environmental data and sends to the base station through multi-hop wireless communication. QoS is the salient aspect in wireless sensor networks that satisfies end-to-end QoS requirement on different parameters such as energy, network lifetime, packets delivery ratio and delay. Among them Energy consumption is the most important and challenging factor in WSN, since the senor nodes are made by battery reserved that tends towards life time of sensor networks. Methods: In this work an Improve-Energy Aware Multi-hop Multi-path Hierarchy (I-EAMMH) QoS based routing approach has been proposed and evaluated that reduces energy consumption and delivers data packets within time by selecting optimum cost path among discovered routes which extends network life time. Results and Conclusion: Simulation has been done in MATLAB on varying number of rounds 400- 2000 to checked the performance of proposed approach. I-EAMMH is compared with existing routing protocols namely EAMMH and LEACH and performs better in terms of end-to-end-delay, packet delivery ratio, as well as reduces the energy consumption 13%-19% and prolongs network lifetime 9%- 14%.

In cloud computing, privacy is turn out to be the foremost difficulty. Therefore, this document is used to develop the cloud data defense by the help of an efficient data perturbation method. In the anticipated data perturbation method, the original data is recoverable whenever required. Additionally, the approach employs an enhanced cloud drops which is used to generate a noise among required mean and covariance in order get the actual data during retrieval. The privacy is preserved by means of Proxy Re-encryption algorithm on before the retrieval. During the outsourcing of data, data owner needs to ensure its security for the privacy purposes. Hereby, we have enabled a third party auditing to periodically check the perturbed data. This method is executed in the functioning platform of JAVA by way of ClouSim simulator.
