We present a description of the new complex installation for the study of extensive air showers which was created at the Tien Shan mountain cosmic ray station, as well as the results of the test measurements made there in 2014-2016. At present, the system for registration of electromagnetic shower component consists of $\sim$100 detector points built on the basis of plastic scintillator plates with the sensitive area of 0.25m$^2$ and 1m$^2$, spread equidistantly over $\sim$10$^4$m$^2$ space. The dynamic range of scintillation amplitude measurements is currently about $(3-7)\cdot 10^4$, and there is a prospect of it being extended up to $\sim$10$^6$. The direction of shower arrival is defined by signal delays from a number of the scintillators placed cross-wise at the periphery of the detector system. For the investigation of nuclear active shower components there was created a multi-tier 55m$^2$ ionization-neutron calorimeter with a sum absorber thickness of $\sim$1000g/cm$^2$, typical spatial resolution of the order of 10cm, and dynamic range of ionization measurement channel about $\sim$10$^5$. Also, the use of saturation-free neutron detectors is anticipated for registration of the high- and low-energy hadron components in the region of shower core. A complex of underground detectors is designed for the study of muonic and penetrative nuclear-active components of the shower. The full stack of data acquisition, detector calibration, and shower parameters restoration procedures are now completed, and the newly obtained shower size spectrum and lateral distribution of shower particles occur in agreement with conventional data. The ability to extract the pulse width and translate it into the actual disk width of the Extensive Air Showers (EAS) is a hard one requiring accurate knowledge of the system performance. For that, the analysis for the cable calibration for Horizon-10T detectors has been re-analyzed in a different form that allows for better signal width measurements. In March of 2018, after the completion of the Physics Run 2, an upgrade has been installed at an innovative detector system Horizon-T, with the upgraded version now called Horizon-10T. It was constructed to study Extensive Air Showers (EAS) in the energy range above 10^16 eV coming from a wide range of zenith angles (0 - 85 degrees). The system is located at Tien Shan high-altitude Science Station of Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences at approximately 3340 meters above the sea level. After this upgrade, the detector consists of ten charged particle detection points separated by the distance up to 1.3 kilometer as well as optical detector to view the Vavilov-Cherenkov light from the EAS. Each detector connects to the Data Acquisition system via cables. The calibration of the time delay for each cable including newly installed ones and the signal attenuation is provided in this article as well as the description of the newly installed detection points and their MIP response values., Comment: This is an article to overview the upgrade process and changes in the calibration of the detection points and overall system performance. An implementation of a novel of glass-based detector with fast response and wide detection range is needed to increase resolution for ultra-high energy cosmic rays detection. Such detector has been designed and built for the Horizon-T detector system at Tien Shan high-altitude Science Station. The main characteristics, such as design, duration of the detector pulse and calibration of a single particle response are discussed., Comment: Simulation is used to assess glass detector performance. Horizon-T, a modern Extensive Air Showers (EAS) detector system, is constructed at Tien Shan high-altitude Science Station of Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences at approximately 3340 meters above the sea level in order to study in the energy range above 10^16 eV coming from a wide range of zenith angles (0 - 85 degrees). The detector includes eight charged particle detection points and a Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation detector. Each charged particle detector response is calibrated using single MIP (minimally ionizing particle) signal. The details of this calibration are provided in this article. This note is valid for data before March 2017 and will not be updated following any detector calibration and configuration changes as a large upgrade has been implemented., Comment: this is a calibration procedure and results from start of 2016 to Feb 27, 2017. The time resolution of charged particles and Vavilov-Cerenkov light photons passage of the detector system is a few ns.
