The article presents a study conducted to achieve resin pigment affinity without compromising flow, gloss and hiding power. An elaboration of the effect of the solution found on the properties of pigmented powder coatings is presented. The author notes that the HiTone concept of improving pigment affinity of resins provided excellent results and the results of the study opened up broader application areas such as thin layers, domestic appliances and white goods, among other.

The article presents a reprint of the article "Environmentally Friendly Corrosion-Protective Polyester Resins for Powder Coatings," which appeared in the October 2008 issue of the "Polymers Paint Colour Journal." The article discusses the growing popularity of powder coatings. It attributes this popularity to powder coatings' high-performance corrosion protection and ability to eliminate pretreatment steps and replace epoxy-based primers in the coating process.
