The current study examines the effect of Eu3+ ions on B2O3-ZnF2-CaF2-Al2O3 glasses. These are examined by XRD, FT-IR, absorption, excitation, and emissions studies. From these studies, XRD, FTIR, absorption, excitation, and emissions are also calculated and it reveals the presence of a covalent nature exists in glass materials. From these emission spectra, J-O parameters, transition probabilities (At), radioactive lifetime (tR), and branching ratio (ßr) color (CIE) coordinates are estimated. Bottom-up hydrothermal synthesis was used to prepare semiconducting natured undoped and Mn2+ doped nanocomposites of ZnS-MoS2. XRD -X-ray diffraction analysis, DRS-diffuse reflection spectroscopy spectrophotometer, FT-IR-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, SEM-scanning electron microscopy, and PLphotoluminescence techniques were used to characterize the structural, optical absorption, morphological, IR spectral, and luminescence properties of prepared powder samples. The average crystallite size of prepared nanocomposites ranged between 12 and 20 nm. The FT-IR spectra were used to examine the molecular vibrations and various functional groups contained in the prepared samples. Surface morphology analyses show the presence of spherical-shaped ZnS flakes and hexagonal MoS2 flakes. The energy bandgap decreases as the quantity of Mn2+ doping in the host lattice increases, showing the quantum confinement of prepared samples. The PL data indicates a characteristic luminescence peak in the yellow-orange region at 585 nm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A comprehensive study on the thermodynamic and transport properties of binary mixtures composed of active amyl alcohol (AAA) and haloalkane’s was conducted within a temperature range of 303.15 K to 313.15 K. Experimental data on densities (ρ), viscosities (η), and speeds of sound (u) were employed to calculate excess molar volume (VE), isentropic compressibility (KsE), viscosity deviation (Δη), and excess Gibbs free energy for viscous flow (∆G*E). The impact of dipole moment on these excess properties was investigated to gain insights into the prevailing intermolecular interactions within the mixtures. The Prigogine – Flory – Patterson (PFP) theory is applied to identify the predominant molecular interaction. The accuracy of the Jouyban–Acree model in correlating densities (ρ), viscosities (η), and speeds of sound (u) with composition were evaluated, demonstrating satisfactory agreement with experimental data. Turn milling is one of the machining processes used to mill circular work pieces while the work piece rotates about its own axis. Orthogonal milling is one of the turn milling processes where the bottom part of cutter removes material from the rotating work piece with high metal removal rate. In this article, tool condition was studied by analyzing surface roughness and vibration of cutter with the use of response surface methodology. According to design of experiments, 16 experiments were conducted on ASTM B139 phosphor bronze with high-speed steel end mill cutter on four-axis milling machine. The response surface methodology was used to find out significant parameters that are affecting surface roughness and amplitude of cutter vibration.
