This article describes a case of hair repigmentation in a patient with secondary Sézary syndrome during treatment with pegylated interferon alfa-2a and photopheresis. The patient had a good response to the treatment, with clinical control of the disease. Some medications have been associated with hair repigmentation, but there have been no reported cases of hair color changes with photopheresis. The exact mechanism behind the hair repigmentation is not well understood and requires further investigation. [Extracted from the article]

Summary: A 65‐year‐old pluripathological woman attended our hospital with a cutaneous eruption of sudden appearance after vancomycin treatment. She presented targetoid lesions affecting approximately 25–30% of her body surface, large erosions with mucosal lesions and positive Nikolsky sign. Under the initial clinical suspicion of toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and considering the recent literature of successful use of etanercept in these cases, she was treated with a single dose of this antitumour necrosis factor (anti‐TNF) agent. Subsequently, the exanthema progression stopped and resolution of the lesions happened in a few days. Later on, histopathology revealed a subepidermal blister with dense neutrophilic infiltrate and linear deposits of immunoglobulin A (IgA) on the dermoepidermal junction, allowing us to establish the diagnosis of drug‐induced linear IgA dermatosis mimicking TEN. Linear IgA dermatosis can have severe clinical manifestations, even mimicking TEN, and can have high mortality, especially in drug‐induced cases. We have not found any other report of linear IgA dermatosis treated with etanercept in the English literature. Anti‐TNF medications could represent useful therapeutic alternatives in this dermatosis. Two siblings presented with straw-colored, frizzy, and wiry hair. They had no associated abnormalities and no family history of abnormal hair. Trichoscopy showed the longitudinal groove in the hair shafts, characteristic of uncombable hair syndrome. Molecular genetic analysis revealed a new pathogenic variant (c.1374dup; p. Background: Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare primary cutaneous lymphoma of mature cytotoxic T cells. Initially, patients with SPTCL were treated with doxorubicin-based polychemotherapy., Objective: To analyze clinical, biologic, immunophenotypical, molecular, imaging, treatment, and outcome data reflecting the current state of knowledge., Methods: A retrospective multicenter study of 16 patients with SPTCL that was diagnosed between 1996 and 2016., Results: The female-to-male ratio was 1.7. The median age at diagnosis was 46.5 years. Patients presented with multiple nodular or plaque-like lesions preferentially affecting the legs and/or trunk. Histopathology typically showed a lobular panniculitis with individual adipocytes surrounded by atypical lymphocytes, usually with a CD3 + , CD4 - , CD8 + , CD56 - , TIA1 cytotoxic granule associated RNA binding protein 1-positive phenotype and high proliferation rate. SPTCL was associated with autoimmune diseases in 25% of patients, and with the development of hemophagocytic syndrome in 18% of patients. Oral steroids alone or in combination with low-dose methotrexate or cyclosporine A were the most common initial treatment, achieving a complete response in 85% of the treated patients. The median follow-up time was 14 months. The 5-year disease-specific survival rate was 85.7%., Limitations: This was a retrospective study., Conclusions: SPTCL has an excellent prognosis.
