The results of a study carried out to know the decomposition time of organic matter in 3 different sites are presented: 1. Perturbed area, 2. Regeneration site (acahual), 3. High medium tropical forest in Petcacab, Quintana Roo state Mexico. A check list of families, genera and species found during the developmental time of the project is giving, the Shannon (H') index of biodiversity, the Simpson's dominance (λ) and Pielou's (J') equitability of mites and collembola during 3 seasons of year (rain, dry and norths) are analyzed. A total of 11, 528 organisms were collected of which were identified 50 families, 54 genera and 54 species. The Cryptostigmata was the most diverse and abundant with 26 families and organisms. The site in regeneration vegetation (acahual) present the higher abundancy with 4,1454 organism and also with higher dominancy λ= 0.0772. The perturbated site register the higher diversity (H') =3.0931 and higher equitability J'=0.5666. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
