PurposesMost molecular-based published studies on breast cancer do not adequately represent the unique and diverse genetic admixture of the Latin American population. Searching for similarities and differences in molecular pathways associated with these tumors and evaluating its impact on prognosis may help to select better therapeutic approaches.Patients and methodsWe collected clinical, pathological, and transcriptomic data of a multi-country Latin American cohort of 1,071 stage II-III breast cancer patients of the Molecular Profile of Breast Cancer Study (MPBCS) cohort. The 5-year prognostic ability of intrinsic (transcriptomic-based) PAM50 and immunohistochemical classifications, both at the cancer-specific (OSC) and disease-free survival (DFS) stages, was compared. Pathway analyses (GSEA, GSVA and MetaCore) were performed to explore differences among intrinsic subtypes.ResultsPAM50 classification of the MPBCS cohort defined 42·6% of tumors as LumA, 21·3% as LumB, 13·3% as HER2E and 16·6% as Basal. Both OSC and DFS for LumA tumors were significantly better than for other subtypes, while Basal tumors had the worst prognosis. While the prognostic power of traditional subtypes calculated with hormone receptors (HR), HER2 and Ki67 determinations showed an acceptable performance, PAM50-derived risk of recurrence best discriminated low, intermediate and high-risk groups. Transcriptomic pathway analysis showed high proliferation (i.e. cell cycle control and DNA damage repair) associated with LumB, HER2E and Basal tumors, and a strong dependency on the estrogen pathway for LumA. Terms related to both innate and adaptive immune responses were seen predominantly upregulated in Basal tumors, and, to a lesser extent, in HER2E, with respect to LumA and B tumors.ConclusionsThis is the first study that assesses molecular features at the transcriptomic level in a multicountry Latin American breast cancer patient cohort. Hormone-related and proliferation pathways that predominate in PAM50 and other breast cancer molecular classifications are also the main tumor-driving mechanisms in this cohort and have prognostic power. The immune-related features seen in the most aggressive subtypes may pave the way for therapeutic approaches not yet disseminated in Latin America.Clinical trial registrationClinicalTrials.gov (Identifier: NCT02326857).

- Abstract
Non-English speaking students lack the confidence and preparation to be verbally actively engaged in the classroom. Students may frequently display hesitation in learning to speak English, and may also lack a teacher's guidance in becoming proficient English speakers. The purpose of this research is to examine how teachers build academic confidence in English language learners. This study also examines how teachers can develop active and confident English speaking students, and improve home-school communication. Research questions include the following: What are factors that contribute to confidence among ELL students in gaining English fluency? How can classroom teachers help develop self-confidence in ELL students? How can classroom teachers enhance home-school communication with families whose primary language is not English? The research approach includes gathering peer-reviewed information from articles, journals, and online databases. Additionally, a qualitative study is designed where several teachers were purposely selected to participate in a one-hour interview. Secondly, parents of children in a Spanish speaking community are being asked to participate in a focus group that addressed communication issues between home and school. Interview questions are appended.

6. Reshaping policy : creativity and everyday practice in an arts organisation in Mexico City

707.1 - Abstract
This research is concerned with how policy becomes practice. It examines the ways by which a policy is reshaped through its encounter with people, architecture and facilities, documents and specific realisations in art projects. In particular, it is concerned with how a left-wing arts education policy, one that aimed to emancipate disadvantaged people, worked in practice – including how it sometimes ended up running counter to its stated aims. The policies that are followed here were first devised by the Leftist government in Mexico City between 1997 and 2000, and then expanded through various revisions and new policies in the following years. As part of the initial policy, an arts organisation, Faro de Oriente – Lighthouse of the Orient – was constructed in a deprived area in the East of Mexico City to give ‘access’ to ‘arts’ and opportunities for ‘creativity’ for the local population. This thesis provides an in-depth study of how this specific arts policy was experienced on the ground between 2011-12 by the various participants in FARO –permanent staff, temporary teaching staff and also students who participated in arts workshops. Based on extensive ethnographic fieldwork, including participant observation, interviews, archival research, and photographic documentation, the thesis charts the ways in which particular aspects of the policy were mobilised and to what ends, and how these were reshaped through practice. This thesis highlights the significance not only of intentional actions by people but also of implements of work, such as the architecture of the FARO main building and its physical condition, the role of teaching staff and artistic projects. Inspired by actor-network and assemblage theory which emphasise the interactions of human with non-human actors and processes that shape entities, the thesis maintains that a policy concerning arts education and creativity refers to the processes, practices and meanings of creativity that participants produce at FARO through everyday practice. A policy is an unfinished social process shaped by technical concepts, materialities, implements and reshaped through the practices of participants. Empirically, this research provides understanding of the everyday dynamics inside FARO, highlighting contradictions and ambiguities for the experience of students. This thesis contributes to debates suttounding policy and creativity through the processes of the everyday life in an arts organisation.

- Abstract
Molecular profile of breast cancer in Latin-American women was studied in five countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Uruguay. Data about socioeconomic characteristics, risk factors, prognostic factors, and molecular subtypes were described, and the 60-month overall cumulative survival probabilities (OS) were estimated. From 2011 to 2013, 1,300 eligible Latin-American women 18 years or older, with a diagnosis of breast cancer in clinical stage II or III, and performance status ≦̸1 were invited to participate in a prospective cohort study. Face-to-face interviews were conducted, and clinical and outcome data, including death, were extracted from medical records. Unadjusted associations were evaluated by Chi-squared and Fisher’s exact tests and the OS by Kaplan–Meier method. Log-rank test was used to determine differences between cumulative probability curves. Multivariable adjustment was carried out by entering potential confounders in the Cox regression model. The OS at 60 months was 83.9%. Multivariable-adjusted death hazard differences were found for women living in Argentina (2.27), Chile (1.95), and Uruguay (2.42) compared with Mexican women, for older (≥60 years) (1.84) compared with younger (≤40 years) women, for basal-like subtype (5.8), luminal B (2.43), and HER2-enriched (2.52) compared with luminal A subtype, and for tumor clinical stages IIB (1.91), IIIA (3.54), and IIIB (3.94) compared with stage IIA women. OS was associated with country of residence, PAM50 intrinsic subtype, age, and tumor stage at diagnosis. While the latter is known to be influenced by access to care, including cancer screening, timely diagnosis and treatment, including access to more effective treatment protocols, it may also influence epigenetic changes that, potentially, impact molecular subtypes. Data derived from heretofore understudied populations with unique geographic ancestry and sociocultural experiences are critical to furthering our understanding of this complexi, Fil: de Almeida, Liz Maria. Many companies in the tourism sector today have implemented the use of virtual reality as a mean to overcome the economic crisis generated by the pandemic; through digitalisation they have allowed them to reach more places and stay in the market. The virtual tours on this platform have the plus of being able to be synchronous and have a guide for each session. The virtual trip can be personalised, with greater complexity in its execution since schedules must be defined, with the added bonus of being able to be more personalised. Thus, VR TOURS PERU, aims to provide a tour package with virtual reality support to potential customers (tourists and / or visitors who demand this type of service, for whom the virtual space is created) which, in turn, it will correspond to an attractive design and as a source of information on the different destinations in the country, these tourists being the key segment to which the product itself will be directed. In addition, the sources of income of VR TOURS PERU will be given by the subscriptions users to obtain the tourist packages designed from virtual reality, thus offering different levels of memberships with which each tourist can enjoy a different experience according to the type of membership acquired. On the other hand, to operate the platform, several resources are required, established according to the functionality demanded; the flow for the selection of the service, initially, is in the choice of the day and availability. The application allows you to choose the day and time of your visit for real-time interaction with the tour guide, from the comfort of your home. Therefore the tourist service VR TOURS PERU, a virtual reality platform that works together with photogrammetry and digitalisation. This virtual platform will allow users to carry out virtual tours, adapted to the tastes, times and needs of clients, organise events created for travel lovers, recommend guide experts for the use of the platform and for travel scheduling physically after the pandemic and establish a catalog of products or services offered before, during and after taking a virtual tour. The capital structure is the specific mix of long-term debt and capital that the company uses to finance its operations. The members or partners will contribute S/ 158,613.05 of their own capital and of borrowed capital the difference of S/ 158,613.05 values that make up the initial investment contribution. This capital structure was selected, since being a company that will start its activities it is recommended that the value of the long-term debt be less than or equal to the equity capital. Based on the financial analysis, there is a profit for the first year of S/ S/ 42,878.56; Likewise, through the application of indicators for the first year, there is an operating margin of 17.60%; a profitability on sales of 8.58%; an Return of Assets of 19.05% and an Return of Equity of 27.03%. Finally, once the net present value was calculated, a value of S/ 409,297.04 was obtained; thus determining the feasibility of the project to obtain a positive result. While the Internal Rate of Return represents a return of 51% when executing the investment, that is, the execution of the information generates future benefits.

- Abstract
The present study proposes a statistical methodology to rate the habitability of different types of buildings after an earthquake. The first step was to rank variables that affect the vulnerability of a building and formulate a statistical study with a discrimination index that makes it possible to identify buildings as habitable or non-habitable. This ranking applied the criteria established in various international guidelines that are used to distinguish between habitable (undamaged/no structural damage) and non-habitable buildings (structural damage). The proposed methodology was applied to a database with information about buildings and damage grade experienced following the 2011 earthquake in Lorca. The approach presented could be extended to other regions where neccessary data are available.

Geología - Abstract
The Carboneras Fault, located in the Southeast Iberian Peninsula, is one of those with the highest slip rate (a), among the active faults in Spain, and is also one of the longest (L), which also makes it one of the highest potential seismic, in terms of the scalar seismic moment that could be released (Mo). According to QAFI v3 (IGME, 2015), a = 1.1 mm / year and L = 110.5 km, which would make possible an earthquake of magnitude Mw = 7.4, (using the of W & C'94 empirical relationship) with a recurrence interval of TR = 1150 years . The fault is strike slip and pleosysmic studies in it point to minimum of 6 events since the Mid Pleistocene observed in trenches along La Serrata (Moreno, 2010, Moreno et al., 2008) and an elapsed time for Mw 7.4 of 1178 years. On the other hand, the last major event reported historically in the fault is the one that occurred in 1522, with I (EMS) = IX and M = 6.5, which allows estimating an elapsed time of about 500 years for that magnitude. With the available data, hazard estimates have been developed from different fault modeling: 1) TC characteristic earthquake, 2) Brownian model of temporal dependence, 3) Renewal model and 4) Poisson model. The sensitivity of the results to the different source modeling is analyzed, and these are compared in turn with the PGA values of the latest seismic hazard map of Spain (UPM-IGN, 2013). Finally, we analize the impact of the results in the city of Almeria, which is one of the most vulnerable in southern Spain, which makes the impact spread to the seismic risk scenarios that can be expected due to future earthquakes.

- Abstract
We present a procedure for exposure and vulnerability evaluation that integrates LiDAR, orthophotos, and other ancillary datasets. It comprises three phases: (1) city stratification into homogeneous regions; (2) exposure database compilation; and (3) vulnerability allocation using predictive modelling. We have conducted two applications in Lorca (Spain) and Port-au-Price (Haiti) and here we compare them. Each phase of the method is subject to variations due mainly to data availability; however, it does not affect the final accuracy that remains high in both scenarios (over 80%). It is a flexible procedure that is able to adapt to the particular features of two different cities.

Unadjusted associations were evaluated by Chi-squared and Fisher's exact tests and the OS by Kaplan-Meier method. Data derived from heretofore understudied populations with unique geographic ancestry and sociocultural experiences are critical to furthering our understanding of this complexity., Competing Interests: The authors declare that the research was conducted in the absence of any commercial or financial relationships that could be construed as a potential conflict of interest., (Copyright © 2022 de Almeida, Cortés, Vilensky, Valenzuela, Cortes-Sanabria, de Souza, Barbeito, Abdelhay, Artagaveytia, Daneri-Navarro, Llera, Müller, Podhajcer, Velazquez, Alcoba, Alonso, Bravo, Camejo, Carraro, Castro, Cataldi, Cayota, Cerda, Colombo, Crocamo, Del Toro-Arreola, Delgadillo-Cristerna, Delgado, Breitenbach, Fernández, Fernández, Fernández, Franco-Topete, Gaete, Gómez, Gonzalez-Ramirez, Guerrero, Gutierrez-Rubio, Jalfin, Lopez-Vazquez, Loria, Míguez, Moran-Mendoza, Morgan-Villela, Mussetti, Nagai, Oceguera-Villanueva, Reis, Retamales, Rodriguez, Rosales, Salas-Gonzalez, Segovia, Sendoya, Silva-Garcia, Viña, Zagame, Jones, Szklo and United States-Latin American Cancer Research Network (US-LACRN).)
