Abstract

A method of long-term combined accumulation of the reflected signal is justified, which provides for its division into disjoint subsets, coherent accumulation in subsets using one of the fast algorithms and subsequent incoherent accumulation of the squares of the modules of the results of processing the subsets. A distinctive method’s feature is the use with incoherent accumulation of maxima of the squares of the moduli of the coherent processing results, that are selected from the range / radial velocity regions in accordance with a given hypothesis about the minimum and maximum values of the target radial velocity and the radial acceleration detection channel setting.The efficiency of the method was confirmed by simulation modeling. Using the theories of ordinal statistics and the method of moments, a method for calculating the probability of correct detection is developed. Estimates of processing losses are made in comparison with coherent and incoherent accumulation algorithms for a signal reflected from a point target, for the case when there is no range and frequency migration. Estimates for the required number of receiver channels are given.

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to present computationally economical algorithms for long-term coherent accumulation of signals reflected from a point target with compensation for range and frequency migration and accumulation of signals in the spectral region. The algorithms include intra-period processing with simultaneous correction of range and frequency migration and inter-period processing with coherent accumulation of signals at the output of intra-period processing. In the first variant of the algorithm, intra-period processing is implemented by calculating the spectra of the received signals in each repetition period, multiplying the samples of the spectra by the samples of the amplitude-phase-frequency characteristic of the matched filter of a single signal and correcting phase coefficients determined by the number of the repetition period and the values of the range derivatives, and the inverse Fourier transform of the transformed spectra. The difference between the second version of the algorithm at the stage of intraperiod processing is the correction of only the quadratic and subsequent components of the range and frequency migration and the use of the keystone transformation, which eliminates the linear range migration. Coherent accumulation for both variants is realized due to the fast Fourier transform of the signal samples over the repetition periods for all samples over the range. The concept of “rough speed resolutionˮ is introduced, which determines the arrangement of channels when compensating for range migration. The uncertainty function in the coordinates “velocity–acceleration” is obtained. The equivalence of the two variants of the algorithm is shown and estimates for the required number of receiver channels are given. The simulation results confirming the operability of the proposed algorithms are presented.

Abstract

In this study, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized using the improved Hummers’ method, and reduce graphene oxide (rGO) was synthesized from GO with hydrazine hydrate as reducing agent. Zinc oxide (ZnO) was synthesized from zinc acetate using the precipitation method. Zinc oxide/reduced graphene oxide (ZnO/rGO) composites were synthesized using the ex-situ method. The ZnO/rGO composites with different rGO weight percents (0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1, and 5 wt%) were used for fabrication of ZnO/rGO anodes. A control anode was fabricated from ZnO (ZnO anode). The band gaps of fabricated anodes were measured using the ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis). The dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were assembled and investigated by current density-voltage (J-V) curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The ZnO/rGO composite with appropriate rGO content was determined to be 1 wt%, with the efficiency of 1.55 %. The Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) results confirmed wurzite structure of ZnO and the reduction of functional groups of GO to create rGO and ZnO/rGO. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that the ZnO nanoparticles with size of 10 - 20 nm were evenly distributed on rGO sheets. These results indicated that ZnO/rGO could be the potential material to improve the efficiency of DSSCs.

Abstract

The model is built to analyze and calculate the torsional vibration of the internal combustion engine shaft system and the generator connected by hard coupling to assess the response to the free and forced vibration of the shaft system, thereby serving as a basis for devising a suitable plan to reduce or avoid the problem of shaft torsion vibration. The results of the research include: modeling and building a separate calculation program for shaft torsion vibrations using MATLAB software; free vibration response analysis including calculating the vibration mode frequency and corresponding vibration forms; analyzing the forced vibration response including the amplitude of vibration of the degrees of freedom and the torsion stress of each element.

Abstract

Low- and middle-income countries urgently need to improve emergency medical services (EMSs) as a component of their healthcare systems. Here, we detailed EMS resources and their provision in Hanoi, Vietnam, and discussed necessary policies to upgrade EMSs. Between 2013 and 2018, EMS resources, measured as provider-to-population and ambulance-to-population ratios, decreased, whereas service provision, measured as the number of patients transported by ambulance per population, increased. EMS resources and their provision in Hanoi are far below the standards of high-income countries or figures in neighboring Asian countries. Therefore, it is imperative to upgrade health policies for the appropriate allocation of healthcare resources to EMSs and hospital services.

Abstract

The effectiveness of restoring the body function status of 30 Vietnamese military pilots flying Su-30 aircraft has been evaluated by biofeedback training method. The pilots were trained by 7 exercises on the system Reacor. The recoverable ability of the pilot's body function status was assessed through changes of cardiac function index and the results of psychophysical tests using Ritm-Met and UPFT-1/30 systems. The results showed that the body function status of the military pilots after training was improved with the enhancing of cardiac function index and reducing of stress index: Hildebrandt index decreased from 4.6±0.8 to 4.2±0.6 and Tension index of the regulatory systems (TI) decreased from 78.4±2.5 to 75.3±1.2. In addition, the functional state of the sensory organ systems under the control of the central nervous system of the pilots after training was also improved, expressed by the reduction of the percentage of false reflexes in the test "Simple visual reflex" (from 1.41±0.3 to 1.3±0.3%), increasing the percentage of target hits in the "Reflex with moving target" test (from 24.8±5.5 to 31.4±4.6%) and reduced the fatigue index when performing typping tests (from 82.7±4.5 to 79.8±6.1).

Abstract

Objective To describe the outcomes of patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) transported to hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam. Methods This was a multi-centre observational study of patients presenting with OHCA to one of five tertiary care hospital EDs in Hanoi from 2017 to 2019. Results We analysed data from 239 OHCA cases of which 70.7% were witnessed, and 8.4% received bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The emergency medical services (EMS) transported 20.5% of cases to hospital with the remaining being transported by private vehicle. No patients received external defibrillation before arriving to hospital. Return of spontaneous circulation in hospital was 33.1%, with 3.8% of patients survived to hospital discharge and only one patient (0.4%) discharged from hospital with a favourable neurological outcome. Conclusions In cases of OHCA in Hanoi, both the proportion of cases receiving bystander CPR and EMS transportation were small. Urgent investments in pre-hospital capacity, training and capabilities are required to improve outcomes for OHCA in Hanoi.

Abstract

Purpose We investigated correlations of coronary plaque composition determined by virtual histology (VH) intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and blood levels of biomarkers that represent the vulnerability of coronary plaques. Materials and Methods Pre- and postprocedural blood levels of high sensitivity C-reactive protein, soluble CD40 ligand (sCD40L), matrix metalloproteinase-9, and neopterin were measured in 70 patients with stable angina (SA) or unstable angina (UA) who were undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for single lesions. We evaluated the data for correlations between these biomarkers and necrotic core contents in PCI target lesions analyzed by VH.
