Composite materials use recently increased, although treatments at their End of Life are inexistent or highly inefficient (from the environmental perspective). Thus, openness to cooperation is needed, supported by methodologies for design for de-manufacturing. The approach proposed in the present work aims at transforming industrial processes' scraps and off-specification pieces in primary materials, through re-design, without the risk of cannibalisation. It is mainly intended for industrial processes of composite materials; its objective is to find alternative applications to their invaluable final disposal and supports the merging of existing supply chains (Industrial Symbiosis). Nevertheless, it can be easily extended to non-composite and/or non-scraps. Re-design enables the establishment of waste-to-treasure composite scraps' life cycles and is evaluated through Life Cycle Assessment. The application of the approach involved four Italian companies and results reveal that industrial symbiosis can reduce emissions (from −45% to more than −90%). Guidelines were outlined: involve End of Life operators to know how waste treatments, share information, favour networking and proximity, apply design for disassembly principles, consider simple shapes and modularity during (re)design. Polyethersulfone (PES) is distinguished by its exceptional comprehensive properties, making it a highly valued engineering plastic employed in various cutting‐edge fields. However, the high cost of PES limits its wider application in industrial fields. Considering the cost‐reduction advantages of polymer foaming, PES foams were successfully prepared in this work using microcellular injection molding (MIM) and micro‐opening microcellular injection molding (MOMIM) foaming methods. Compared with the MIM foaming method, the PES foam samples prepared by the MOMIM foaming method have better microcellular structure and surface quality. As the micro‐opening distance increased, the cell density of the PES foam samples showed a gradual rise before plateauing, with the cell size remaining relatively constant. As a result, the density of the PES foam sample dropped to 1.07 g/cm3, which is 80.5% of the solid PES sample. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties of the PES foam samples remained robust, with both the specific flexural modulus and the specific flexural strength showing increases as the micro‐opening distance increased. The knowledge obtained from this study provides a method for preparing high‐performance PES foam materials, which will facilitate the application of PES in more civilian fields. Mortars will remain critical in future land wars due to their flexibility and versatility. When mortars are fired continuously, the contact soil is gradually compacted by the mortar base plate, and dynamic research into this process is the basis for innovative mortar design. However, the discontinuity and nonlinearity of soil contact absolutely necessitate the constitutive relationship of soil contact, which is difficult to study. Therefore, this study conducted experimental research and theoretical derivation to establish an accurate dynamic model of the mortar system. First, based on the nonlinear elastic–plastic theory and the stress–strain relationship of soil under cyclic loading, a theoretical analysis method for the constitutive relationship of contact soil under continuous loading was proposed. Second, an experimental and testing system was designed to simulate launch loads, and the stress–strain response of soil under continuous impact loads was obtained experimentally. Subsequently, based on theoretical analysis and experimental data, the stress–strain relationship during the gradual compaction of soil was established using the least squares method. Finally, a constitutive relationship model of the contact soil in the mortar system was established in ABAQUS using the VUMAT subroutine interface, and the calculated results were compared and analyzed with traditional calculation results. The results indicated that studying the constitutive relationship of mortar in contact with soil during continuous firing using this method can improve the accuracy of dynamically modeling mortar systems. The application of distributed sensors in smart transmission lines to replace traditional inspection methods is an inevitable trend. Currently, the challenge of energy supply for sensors serves as a bottleneck that hinders the intelligent development of transmission lines. This paper focuses on the application of self‐powered inspection technology based on triboelectric and electromagnetic mechanisms in transmission lines. It proposes a self‐powered temperature and vibration monitoring and warning system (STV‐MWS) for multi‐parameter monitoring of transmission line status. This work utilizes the quasi‐zero stiffness structure and center misalignment design to improve the output performance of STV‐MWS at low vibration amplitude, thereby extending its vibration amplitude response range. The STV‐MWS is capable of harvesting and monitoring vibration of 50 µm and above vibration amplitude and 2–700 Hz vibration frequencies, which fully covers the breeze vibration range of transmission lines. Through the split package design, the flexible deployment of STV‐MWS is achieved, further enhancing its engineering application value. This work can effectively ensure that the transmission line inspection can carry out accurate status monitoring and intelligent analysis in the environment characterized by steep terrain, challenging power extraction, and difficult fault judgment, thereby realizing the visualization and intelligence of the transmission line status. Recommender Systems (RecSys) have been around since the early days of the Internet, helping users navigate the vast ocean of information and the increasingly available options that have been available for us ever since. The range of tasks for which one could use a RecSys is expanding as the technical capabilities grow, with the disruption of Machine Learning representing a tipping point in this domain, as in many others. However, the increase of the technical capabilities of AI-powered RecSys did not come with a thorough consideration of their ethical implications and, despite being a well-established technical domain, the potential impacts of RecSys on their users are still under-assessed. This paper aims at filling this gap in regards to one of the main impacts of RecSys: personal autonomy. We first describe how technology can affect human values and a suitable methodology to identify these effects and mitigate potential harms: Value Sensitive Design (VSD). We use VSD to carry out a conceptual investigation of personal autonomy in the context of a generic RecSys and draw on a nuanced account of procedural autonomy to focus on two components: competence and authenticity. A fuzzy coefficient q -axis current increment flux weakening (FCCIFW) control method is proposed in interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drives. The proposed FCCIFW not only simplifies the calculation of flux weakening coefficient according to the derived formula, but also avoids the saturation of current regulator. In FCCIFW, the theoretical calculation formula of conversion coefficient is derived firstly, and then the fuzzy rule base is established according to the formula. FCCIFW not only refrains the use of complex flux weakening calculation formula or fixed control parameters, but also refrains the problem of out-of-control in the process of deep flux weakening control, so as to improve the overall performance in the process of flux weakening. During CO2 storage in deep saline aquifers, the presence of residual water has an important influence on the storage efficiency and safety. In this study, natural rock cores taken from deep reservoirs in the Ordos Basin and Fukang, Xinjiang are used as research objects. Nine groups of core‐flooding experiments are performed under different CO2/N2 gas mixture ratios to study the influence of rock properties (mineral composition, permeability, porosity and pore structure) on the residual water. Furthermore, the geophysical and chemical properties of rock cores are analyzed by X‐ray diffraction, electron microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy and piezoelectric mercury method. The results show that residual water saturation is a quantitative power function of drainage time. The residual water saturation is positively correlated with the total amount of quartz and feldspar and increases with increasing permeability. Moreover, both the average and median pore throat radius show a strong inverse correlation with irreducible residual water saturation; as these radius increase, the residual water saturation decreases. In contrast, the porosity and maximum pore throat radius display a weaker correlation with irreducible residual water saturation. For the first-order unstable object with time delay, the PD control parameter tuning method based on the traditional definition lacks consideration of the lower boundary of amplitude margin, resulting in a certain deviation between the result and the reality. In this paper, through analyzing the control loop of quadrotor UAV (QUAV), the integral link is moved from the controlled object to the controller, and the QUAV becomes a first-order unstable object, realizing the conversion of PD to PI in the hovering state. The system stability margin remains unchanged, and the position and attitude control objectives can be realized synchronously. By means of parameter setting method, the upper boundary of stability margin is obtained. Pade approximation is carried out for the time delay link, and then the lower margin of the amplitude margin is deduced according to Routh stability criterion, so as to obtain a more accurate reachable stability margin region. To avoid the high gain feedback of attitude angular velocity of QUAV, a numerical analytical setting formula for PD attitude control is derived to meet the requirements of gain and phase margin. The graph shows that the reachable region obtained by the strict definition of stability margin analysis decreases significantly. The proposed method can not only give the reachable region intuitively, but also give the tuning formula of the control parameters concisely, which has important engineering application value. Objective: The visual guiding system, as a tunnel traffic safety improvement method by using visual guiding facilities to actively guide driving safely, has been widely used in countries with many tunnels, in recent years. This paper aims to quantitatively study the comprehensive evaluation of traffic safety of the visual guiding system in tunnels, which has certain engineering application value and can provide support for the quantitative evaluation and optimal design of tunnel traffic safety. Methods: Based on the analysis of the relevant factors of urban tunnel traffic safety, a multi-factor comprehensive evaluation system with 5 upper-level indicators and 12 basic-level indicators was proposed. Considering the independent and incompatible indicators, a comprehensive evaluation method of traffic safety of the visual guiding system in urban tunnels was constructed by using the extension matter-element model. Taking the scene of 4 types of tunnel curves, such as no facilities, horizontal stripe, chevron alignment sign, and LED arch, as examples, the comprehensive evaluation of various schemes were carried out by using simulation tests. Results: The traffic safety comprehensive evaluation system of visual guiding system in urban tunnels can be analyzed from five aspects: perception reaction, guidance ability, driver factor, driving task, and facility appearance. The results demonstrated significant the comprehensive evaluation result of the target level of scene 1 was L4, scene 2 was L3, scene 3 was L2, and scene 4 was L1. That is, the final results of the comprehensive evaluation of the four scenes were poor, medium, good, and very good, respectively. Conclusions: In the scheme of visual guiding system for urban tunnel curves, the effectiveness of the three types of designs, from high to low, was the LED arch, chevron alignment sign, and horizontal stripe, and the safety of the scene without facilities was the lowest. Hence, setting the LED arch in the urban tunnel curve has a good effect in the aspects of guidance ability, sight distance, and sight zone, and is conducive to the driver's perception reaction and driving task. Toppling and slumping are two common failure modes for unstable rocks with a weak base (WBURs). The toppling failure of a WBUR is controlled by the degree of inclination of the base. In contrast, the slumping failure of a WBUR is controlled by parameters such as the gradient of the base slope, the gradient of the base surface, the strength of the base, and the geometric dimensions of unstable rocks, leading to complex failure mechanisms. To investigate the effects of these parameters on the failure modes of a WBUR, this study built a two‐dimensional simulation model of a WBUR, which used the equivalent load to replace an unstable rock model and used the inclination value to distinguish between toppling and slumping failures. Moreover, this study proposed a simulation method that determined slumping failures based on the presence of a penetrating area in the contour maps of the maximum shear strain rate of the base slope. The failures of the base slope of a WBUR subjected to slumping failures can be divided into shallow, arc‐shaped and broken line‐shaped types. The slumping failures of a WBUR are influenced by parameters such as the gradient of the base slope, the gradient of the base surface, the base strength, and the geometric dimensions of the unstable rock. The inclination value of the unstable rock obtained through numerical simulations can be used to distinguish between topping failures (forward and backward toppling) and slumping failures of a WBUR. Egypt's economy is unstable, marked by high unemployment, low incomes, and safety concerns, which impede its rapid development. One crucial sector that faces difficulties is construction, dealing with issues like funding shortages, payment disputes, and ineffective project management. Conventional project success criteria strongly emphasize efficient resource use and waste minimization. These criteria are symbolized by the iron triangle of cost, time, and quality. A key instrument for obtaining value for money in building projects is value engineering (VE). Even though VE is acknowledged in theory, its application is still limited in most developing countries, including the Egyptian construction industry. Therefore, to bridge the gap between theory and practice, this paper attempts to investigate the current state and application of VE in Egypt. The study further outlines strategies for integrating VE into construction practices and identifies obstacles to their implementation. This study employed both qualitative and quantitative research approaches to attain the research aim, beginning with a thorough literature review to assess the application of value engineering (VE) in both local and international construction industries. Then, a web-based survey was conducted to gather diverse perspectives on VE's role and its current practice in Egyptian construction projects. The gathered data were analyzed mainly using descriptive and thematic analysis approaches. The paper's findings revealed that there is a large gap between VE in theory and practice in Egypt. Reasons include lack of awareness and understanding, time and financial constraints, and resistance to change. Bridging the gap to enhance VE in Egypt includes a focus on the role of educational institutions and training, public awareness and recognition, and early project lifecycle integration. This research has gained insights about VE environment, process, duration, types of projects applied, and effectiveness, aiming to get a comprehensive overview of VE in Egypt. Furthermore, this research has identified a significant gap between VE theory and practice in Egypt. To bridge this gap and enhance the implementation of VE in Egypt, strategies such as focusing on the role of educational institutions, increasing public awareness and recognition, and integrating VE approach early in the project lifecycle are suggested. These findings will guide construction industry practitioners to deeply understand the current state of VE in Egypt and practically integrate VE in the construction industry to minimize unnecessary costs, enhance functionality requirements, and achieve value for client's money. The point cloud is one of the measurement results of local measurement and is widely used because of its high measurement accuracy, high data density, and low environmental impact. However, since point cloud data from a single measurement are generally small in spatial extent, it is necessary to accurately globalize the local point cloud to measure large components. In this paper, the method of using an iGPS (indoor Global Positioning System) as an external measurement device to realize high-accuracy globalization of local point cloud data is proposed. Two calibration models are also discussed for different application scenarios. Verification experiments prove that the average calibration errors of these two calibration models are 0.12 mm and 0.17 mm, respectively. Structural damage can affect the long-term operation of equipment. Real-time damage warning for structures can effectively avoid accidents caused by structural damage. In this paper, a real-time warning method of structural plastic damage based on the cointegration theory is proposed. This method calculates the cointegration relationship between the strain signals at different measuring points, and the stability of the strain signal relationships is also evaluated. The problem of inaccurate detection caused by the error of strain measurement and environmental influence can be eliminated by the comprehensive judgment of strain between asymmetrical measuring points. A real-time damage sensing system is developed in this paper. In order to improve the real-time and practicability of the system, this paper proposes and determines the residual warning coefficient by analyzing the proportion of the strain residuals exceeding the residual threshold. Rolling bearings are integral to the operation of various mechanical systems, where their condition directly impacts equipment reliability and performance. Accurate fault diagnosis is essential for preventing unexpected failures and minimising downtime in industrial settings. This study presents a novel diagnostic model that combines Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, enhanced by an improved Inception module. This integrated approach captures both spatial and temporal features of vibration signals, leading to superior diagnostic accuracy under diverse operating conditions. Experimental results using the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) bearing dataset demonstrate an impressive average fault diagnosis accuracy of 99.83%, outperforming conventional models. The robustness of the proposed model against noise and its adaptability to varying operational environments underscore its practical value for real-world engineering applications, offering a reliable solution for maintaining the safety and efficiency of critical machinery. This article introduces a culturally inclusive research methodology distinct from other qualitative methodologies in its emphasis on multiple rounds of iterative data collection, member checking and co-construction of research language, design and analysis. It describes the co-design of a culturally inclusive conceptual model, data collection process and data analysis approach as an inside researcher. Culturally inclusive nuance is critical where education concepts emanating from the global north are rightly problematised by learners from the global south. More specifically, there is a well-researched gap in identification and support for gifted low SES students who tend to represent non-dominant cultures. This methodology supports culturally responsive language, narratives and approach to meaning-making around the highly contested conceptions of giftedness in low SES environs. It has proven to facilitate examination of shared experiences within a loose community setting in a qualitative research context. This article offers an introduction to the evolving methodology and the co-design process by which it came to exist for any researchers seeking a decolonising framework. It illustrates the value of the methodology in creating safe spaces for reflection and learning. Critically, from an educative perspective, it demonstrates how the methodology actively supports participants' meaning making about their own identity and the multiple ways in which they reveal facets of their identity in various contexts of life, family, work and education, through adolescence to young adulthood. Traditional pressure grouting technology operates under steady pressure conditions, causing the grout to easily flow along preferential pathways. This results in uneven grout penetration and increased economic costs. This study proposes swirl grouting technology, which effectively improves this problem. To verify the effectiveness of swirl grouting, a fan-shaped blade tool was also proposed. The grout penetration performance was investigated through experimental studies. The length, width, height, weight, and uniformity of the grouted bodies produced by the swirl grouting method were compared with those produced by the steady pressure grouting method. Then, the mechanisms of swirl grouting were analyzed through transparent disc visualization experiments. The results demonstrated that, at different water–cement ratios, the swirl device increased the penetration length in the X, Y, and Z directions by 43.3%, 27.8%, and 45.8%, respectively, compared to the conventional straight device, and by 57.3%, 39.4%, and 55.6%, respectively, compared to the fan blade device. Moreover, the swirl device increased the weight of the grouted stone body by 54.9% compared to the conventional straight device and by 91.0% compared to the fan blade device, significantly enhancing filling efficiency. The uniformity coefficient of the swirl device permeation decreased by 56.6% and 51.0%, respectively, compared to the conventional straight device and the fan blade device, resulting in a more uniform grout distribution. The transparent disc visualization experiment further revealed the advantage of the swirl device in promoting the migration of fine particles, with a significant increase in average penetration distance and a penetration shape closer to a regular circle. The rotating flow path of the swirl device imparts additional rotational momentum and multidirectional penetration capabilities. The resulting turbulence accelerates the mixing of grout with the soil matrix, facilitating the migration of fine particles, expanding flow channels, and reducing flow resistance. This combination of effects enhances penetration efficiency and reduces energy loss. Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending has gained significant traction in the financial landscape, particularly in developing economies such as Indonesia, where access to traditional banking services remains a challenge for many. The aim of this study is to investigate the application of value engineering as a decision support system for choosing and evaluating P2P lending platforms, using Indonesia as a case study. P2P lending is a relatively new service in the digital economy for lending money to individuals through online financial intermediaries, where borrowers and lenders often have no prior relationship. Value engineering, a systematic approach to improving the value of a product or service, can be a valuable tool in the context of P2P lending. Through applying value engineering principles, P2P lending platforms can identify and prioritize the key factors that influence lending decisions, such as risk, return, and data privacy, to enhance the overall value proposition for both borrowers and lenders. Both value engineering and P2P lending are technoeconomic systems that aim to enhance the overall value and efficiency of a system or process, albeit through different approaches. This study presents a comprehensive framework for applying value engineering as a decision support system for P2P lending in Indonesia. The findings reveal that the value engineering index developed in this study effectively differentiates between P2P lending platforms based on their performance. Specifically, platforms with a high-value index were found to offer competitive interest rates, lower fees, and superior risk management, as evidenced by their non-performing loan (NPL) rates. In contrast, platforms with a low-value index were associated with higher NPLs and less favorable terms for stakeholders. These insights provide practical guidance for P2P lending platforms, regulators, and consumers; highlight the importance of a value engineering approach in optimizing platform selection; and enhance the P2P lending ecosystem's sustainability in Indonesia. In view of the instability issues of surrounding rock in super-large-section chambers, this study takes the super-large-section chambers of the underground agitation station at Jinfeng Gold Mine as the research object, establishes a rock quality index model for the mining area using the mine's geological drilling database, and based on this model, determines the optimal location for the agitation station construction to be at the 150 m level. Through laboratory tests, field investigations, and ground stress measurements, the parameters and stress distribution characteristics of the surrounding rock were determined. The stability of the chamber after excavation was analyzed using the Phase2 rock mechanics software for numerical simulation. Based on the analysis results and the engineering analogy method, a joint support scheme was proposed for the surrounding rock, which includes pipe-slit bolts, hanging mesh, wet shotcrete, resin bolts, long anchor cables, grouting behind walls, and anti-heave reverse arch concrete. The reinforcement effect was evaluated through numerical simulation and field application monitoring, and the results showed that the maximum deformation of the reinforced chamber was 31 mm, the maximum principal stress was 25 MPa, no damage occurred to the bolts (cables), and all safety factors of the concrete lining units were greater than 1.2. The support structure was in a reasonable and effective stress state, indicating that the chamber remained stable after reinforcement, with good support effects. In order to study the influence of modular filled and composite material forms on the axial crushing and energy absorption properties of structures, modular filled composite structures were constructed, and innovatively applied to the inner side of double-hat beam (DHB) structures in automobiles. The modular filled structures comprise hexagonal, quadrilateral, and triangular sections. By analyzing the collision performance of modular filled DHB structures, significant enhancements were observed in both the sectional characteristics and the specific Mean Crushing Force of modular filled DHBs compared to the conventional double-hat beam structure. These advancements notably improved the plastic deformation characteristics of the structures. Additionally, dynamic weightlessness experiments were conducted to validate the accuracy of the simulation model. Among the proposed schemes, namely QU-5, HE-5, and TR-5, notable improvements in crashworthiness were identified. Specifically, crashworthiness indicators increased by 32.54%, 78.9%, and 116.53%. Compared with other thin-walled structures, modular filled composite DHBs have advantages in axial crushing and energy absorption. By optimizing layout characteristics, the modular filled structures will achieve significant lightweight and energy absorption performance improvements. This work has clear reference value for automotive engineers and scholars to further explore the axial crash safety, platform modularization, and lightweight design of vehicles. Satellite imagery has become a widespread resource for modeling variability in lake surfaces. However, the extended monitoring of a lake's perimeter faces significant challenges due to atmospheric obstacles that cannot be rectified. Due to the atmosphere's everchanging opacity, only half of the acquired satellite images have reliable qualitative accuracy making it possible to identify a lake's contour. Consequently, approximately 50% of the monthly lake outline values can be determined using remote sensing methods, leaving the remaining 50% unknown. This situation is applicable to three lakes in Morocco (Abakhan, Ouiouan, and Tiglmanine), the subjects of the current research for the period between 1984 and 2022. What can we do if, during a period of time in which we monitored the evolution of the surface of a lake by satellite means, we obtain only about 50% of the possible images? Shall we just settle for this and stop the analysis? Although it may be challenging to believe, the present study introduces two statistical methods for interpolating and validating the monthly values of the lake outline: the iterative ratio method based on the autocorrelation of the monthly water balance and the Kalman filter. We estimated the reconstruction errors of the missing values and validated the methodology using an inverse philosophy, reconstructing the initial data from the table of the simulation results. Given that the difference between the initial values and the reconstructed initial values resembles white noise or an AR (1) process with a low coefficient, we deemed the methodological approach acceptable. Several comparison criteria between the two interpolation methods were employed, yet determining the more appropriate one remains challenging. Based on our surface reconstruction method, Lake Abakhan, with an average area of 22 hectares, experienced significant fluctuations, ranging from a maximum of 34 hectares in 2010 to a minimum of 0.8 hectares in 2022. Lake Ouiouan, with an average area of 14 hectares, displayed much lower variation, with a maximum of 17 hectares in 2020 and a minimum of 6.5 hectares in 1988. Lake Tiglmanine showed a pattern similar to that of Lake Abakhan but with less pronounced fluctuations. With an average area of 6.1 hectares, its maximum was 9.2 hectares in 2011 and its minimum was 4.1 hectares in 1984. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article applies the method of historical research, using a temporal perspective dating back to 1985, to trace the evolution of market valuation principles for real estate in Poland. These principles evolved similarly to those in many other post-socialist countries, influenced by political and socio-economic transformations and the resulting list of objectives for which these values became essential. The changing legal regulations allowing for the emergence and development of a free real estate market played a decisive role in this process. It was also a period of preparing real estate valuation professionals to meet these requirements. Today, the methodology of valuation, under increasing pressure from various real estate market entities and the rapid advancement of intelligent data collection and processing technologies, is undergoing further evolution. In many countries, including Poland, lively discussions and disputes are ongoing regarding the legal authorization of statistical tools and automated valuation models in valuation practice. These possibilities are being considered particularly in the context of mass property valuations for tax purposes. Increased proliferation is a driver of tumorigenesis, and quantification of mitotic activity is a standard task for prognostication. This systematic review is an analysis of all available references on mitotic activity in feline tumors to provide an overview of the assessment methods and prognostic value. A systematic literature search in PubMed and Scopus and a nonsystematic search in Google Scholar were conducted. All articles on feline tumors that correlated mitotic activity with patient outcome were identified. Data analysis revealed that of the 42 eligible articles, mitotic count (MC, mitotic figures/tumor area) was evaluated in 39 studies, and mitotic index (MI, mitotic figures/tumor cells) in 3 studies. The risk of bias was considered high for most studies (26/42, 62%) based on small study populations, insufficient details of the MC/MI methods, and lack of statistical measures for diagnostic accuracy or effect on outcome. The MC/MI methods varied between studies. A significant association of MC with survival was determined in 20 of 28 (71%) studies (10 studies evaluated other outcome metrics or provided individual patient data), while 1 study found an inverse effect. Three tumor types had at least 4 studies, and a prognostic association with survival was found in 5 of 6 studies on mast cell tumors, 5 of 5 on mammary tumors, and 3 of 4 on soft-tissue sarcomas. MI was shown to correlate with survival for mammary tumors by 2 research groups; however, comparisons to MC were not conducted. Further studies with standardized mitotic activity methods and appropriate statistical analysis for discriminant ability of patient outcome are needed to infer the prognostic value of MC and MI. One of the most relevant prognostic indices for tumors is cellular proliferation, which is most commonly measured by the mitotic activity in routine tumor sections. The goal of this systematic review was to analyze the methods and prognostic relevance of histologically measuring mitotic activity that have been reported for canine tumors in the literature. A total of 137 articles that correlated the mitotic activity in canine tumors with patient outcome were identified through a systematic (PubMed and Scopus) and nonsystematic (Google Scholar) literature search and eligibility screening process. Mitotic activity methods encompassed the mitotic count (MC, number of mitotic figures per tumor area) in 126 studies, presumably the MC (method not specified) in 6 studies, and the mitotic index (MI, number of mitotic figures per number of tumor cells) in 5 studies. A particularly high risk of bias was identified based on the available details of the MC methods and statistical analyses, which often did not quantify the prognostic discriminative ability of the MC and only reported P values. A significant association of the MC with survival was found in 72 of 109 (66%) studies. However, survival was evaluated by at least 3 studies in only 7 tumor types/groups, of which a prognostic relevance is apparent for mast cell tumors of the skin, cutaneous melanoma, and soft tissue tumor of the skin and subcutis. None of the studies using the MI found a prognostic relevance. This review highlights the need for more studies with standardized methods and appropriate analysis of the discriminative ability to prove the prognostic value of the MC and MI in various tumor types. Future studies are needed to evaluate the influence of the performance of individual pathologists on the appropriateness of prognostic thresholds and investigate methods to improve interobserver reproducibility. Projects involve inter-organizational relationship cognition, which is central to collaborative engineering project value added. Interest in value added in the project lifecycle is mounting and gaining increasing attention in the research literature. However, little is known about how inter-organizational relationship cognition facilitates value added and how such cognition pushes a project toward higher end-states of value. The existing literature mainly analyzes and studies value added on functional analysis and cost control. There are predominantly static analyses of the factors that influence value added in studies. The guiding role of value added has not been adequately explored in the studies on the influencing factors of value added. Utilizing a combination of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs), this study addresses how inter-organizational relationship cognition influences engineering project value added, identifying complex structures of interaction and cognition dynamics. Results indicate that: (1) A hybrid SEM–FCM method can be able to model dynamic interactions between inter-organizational relationship cognition and value added; (2) trust and shared vision have positive effects on in-role behavior and extra-role behavior. Shared vision has a negative effect on opportunistic behavior. In-role behavior and extra-role behavior have a positive impact on value added, while opportunistic behavior has a negative impact. Organizational behavior is an important mediating variable to explain the interaction between inter-organizational relationship cognitions and value added. This hybrid method explores the potential mechanisms of inter-organizational relationship cognition on project value added from novel perspectives on construction project management practices, proposing practical advice for further project management. This paper addresses the challenges of close proximity operations, such as rendezvous, docking, and fly-around maneuvers for micro/nano satellites, which require high control precision under the low power and limited computational capabilities of spacecraft. Firstly, a three-degree-of-freedom air float simulator platform is designed for ground-based experiments. Subsequently, model predictive controllers based on constraints aware of particle filtering (CAPF-NMPC) are developed for executing operations such as approach, fly-around, and docking maneuvers. The results validate the effectiveness of the experimental system, demonstrating position control accuracy less than 0.03 m and attitude control accuracy less than 3°, maintaining lower computational resource consumption. With technological advances and industrial upgrading, electro-mechanical actuators (EMAs) have gradually replaced traditional hydraulic actuation systems. During operation, force servo systems inevitably suffer from external force or position disturbances, thus affecting the output performance of the system. Therefore, it is of significant engineering application value to develop EMA anti-disturbance control strategies that exhibit strong robustness and are more easily applicable to engineering practice. In this study, an open-loop transfer function of the system with command signals and disturbance signals as inputs was established based on the nonlinear mathematical models built for the core components of EMAs. To overcome the impact of external position disturbances on the motion performance of the force servo system, a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller was introduced and a high-order transfer function associated with various parameters such as speed and acceleration was derived and obtained as feedforward compensation based on the mathematical model. By incorporating a three-loop PID controller, the impact of external disturbance forces on the motion performance of the position servo system was overcome and the tracking accuracy of the system was also improved. Finally, simulation models were built using AMESim software (AMESim 2020, LMS Imagine.Lab, Roanne, France) and a dual-channel EMA performance testing system was developed. Simulation and test results indicated that both anti-disturbance control methods exhibited strong robustness and excellent anti-disturbance performance, with the control accuracy and dynamic performance almost unaffected by disturbances. Over the last two decades, business has taken a more systematic approach to understanding its impact on all of its stakeholders. Companies are striving to operate in a more sustainable way to improve the environmental, social and economic impact of their activities. Even today, the interest in determining the value of a company or parts of a company has not waned. As the economy continues to evolve, there are reasons and impulses that encourage companies to find out what their value is. The new approach is dependent on re-thinking value creation. There has been a growing understanding that sustainability requires a more comprehensive view of value that includes economic, social and environmental benefits. The aim of this paper is to propose a methodology for determining the sustainable value of an enterprise with respect to the factors influencing its value. This study is based on information that was gathered through an extensive literature review (research publications and research studies; the company's financial statements with notes) using Internet and research databases and the authors' own experiences. Methods of analysis, comparison, selection, abstraction, induction, deduction and statistics were used. The main findings of this study are as follows: the stakeholders require a company's sustainable value; the modification of the EVA method with the sustainable value approach brings a different perspective to the issue of determining the value of an enterprise. Purpose: This study aims to analyze Islamic financial institutions' (IFIs) current financial engineering and product development procedures. Design/methodology/approach: The paper is quantitative in nature and the survey questionnaire were collected from managers and IF experts working for Islamic Banks, Takaful and other IFIs in Turkey, Malaysia and UAE. Two-stage structural equation modeling was used to test the hypothesis. Findings: The findings highlighted that the Shari'ah Supervisory Board, Strategy and Planning of IFIs, Legal and Regulatory framework, pricing of a new product and financial performance positively impact the new product development (NPD) process. At the same time, Islamic values have no significant positive impact. Research limitations/implications: When generalizing the research results, data collection from the right departments was the main limitation of the current study. Future research may opt to collect data only from Product Development Departments. Practical implications: The findings of this study will allow IFIs to reflect on their present methods, procedures and Shari'ah compliance framework for the NPD process. Shipyard industries affect the performance of manufactured ships. A designed ship needs well-performed shipbuilders to construct the ship following quality, timeline, budget, and environmental impact of future challenges. Shipyard performance measurement, including shipbuilding, ship repair, and ship conversion, will remain important as it is a powerful tool for strategic enhancement. This study proposes a conceptual and transdisciplinary framework for shipyard performance measurement through integrated Value Engineering and Risk Assessment (VENRA). The framework comprises five criteria groups: Technical, Business, External, Personnel Safety, and Environment, assessed by integrated fuzzy DEcision-MAking Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) and Weighted Evaluation Technique (WET) methods and applied to an Indonesian shipyard. 'Shipyard's manufacturing facility' and 'Manufacturing/building strategy' are the most critical factors, while 'Personnel' and 'Technology Level' significantly influence other criteria. The framework can determine the shipyard's lowest score within the prioritised criteria and sub-criteria to evaluate the cause–effect link and prioritise steps to improve performance. Task scheduling is a critical challenge in cloud computing systems, greatly impacting their performance. Task scheduling is a nondeterministic polynomial time hard (NP-Hard) problem that complicates the search for nearly optimal solutions. Five major uncertainty parameters, i.e., security, traffic, workload, availability, and price, influence task scheduling decisions. The primary rationale for selecting these uncertainty parameters lies in the challenge of accurately measuring their values, as empirical estimations often diverge from the actual values. The integral-valued Pythagorean fuzzy set (IVPFS) is a promising mathematical framework to deal with parametric uncertainties. The Dyna Q+ algorithm is the updated form of the Dyna Q agent designed specifically for dynamic computing environments by providing bonus rewards to non-exploited states. In this paper, the Dyna Q+ agent is enriched with the IVPFS mathematical framework to make intelligent task scheduling decisions. The performance of the proposed IVPFS Dyna Q+ task scheduler is tested using the CloudSim 3.3 simulator. The execution time is reduced by 90%, the makespan time is also reduced by 90%, the operation cost is below 50%, and the resource utilization rate is improved by 95%, all of these parameters meeting the desired standards or expectations. The results are also further validated using an expected value analysis methodology that confirms the good performance of the task scheduler. Karstic lakes on gypsum are a very peculiar type of ecosystem declared as a Habitat Type of Community Interest (Type 3190) by the European Habitats Directive. They are usually small lakes but often displaying a high relative depth, located in active gypsum karst areas, with a high saturation of Ca2+ and SO42− in its waters. These lakes can usually stratify from spring to early autumn when the depth is high enough, then a sulphide-rich anoxic hypolimnion can develop in deep layers. So far, neither a comprehensive scientific definition of their ecological characteristics nor an exhaustive catalogue of their occurrence in a particular territory are available. This paper delves on their biotic and abiotic features needed for their identification as an ecosystem type. A proper methodology was also designed and applied for the evaluation of their conservation status, with the definition of reference values and assessment methods following the criteria of the Habitats Directive. The Spanish karstic lakes on gypsum (THCI 3190) were here identified, statistically representative sites were selected, and spatial GIS methods and multimetric indices were applied to assess the range, area, structure and function, and future prospects of this Habitat Type, as requested for the reporting according to Article 17 of the Habitats Directive. Results showed a favourable conservation status of this habitat type in the Alpine and Atlantic regions of Spain, but unfavourable-inadequate status in the Mediterranean, due to the pressures and impacts acting on some specific sites. Accurate rock mass quality classification is crucial for the design and construction of underground projects. Traditional methods often rely on expert experience, introducing subjectivity, and struggle with complex geological conditions. Machine learning algorithms have improved this issue, but obtaining complete rock mass quality datasets is often difficult due to high cost and complex procedures. This study proposed a hybrid XGBoost model for predicting rock mass quality using incomplete datasets. The zebra optimization algorithm (ZOA) and Bayesian optimization (BO) were used to optimize the hyperparameters of the model. Data from various regions and types of underground engineering projects were utilized. Adaptive synthetic (ADASYN) oversampling addressed class imbalance. The model was evaluated using metrics including accuracy, Kappa, precision, recall, and F1-score. The ZOA-XGBoost model achieved an accuracy of 0.923 on the test set, demonstrating the best overall performance. Feature importance analysis and individual conditional expectation (ICE) plots highlighted the roles of RQD and UCS in predicting rock mass quality. The model's robustness with incomplete data was verified by comparing its performance with other machine learning models on a dataset with missing values. The ZOA-XGBoost model outperformed other models, proving its reliability and effectiveness. With the continuous development of dredging engineering and dredging business, the requirements for monitoring the dredging construction process are also increasing. Aiming at the problems of poor display effect and low accuracy in 3D visualization monitoring during the dredging process of existing dredgers, a universal 3D visualization system for dredger construction operations was designed and developed based on the Unity3D engine. The system realizes the 3D visualization display of key dredging equipment driving, underwater terrain generation and rendering, and real-time terrain reconstruction. Water injection for absorbing corrosive gases NH3, HCl and H2S is a widely employed method to mitigate the risk of ammonium salt corrosion in the hydrogenation units. To ensure the efficient prevention of ammonium salt corrosion, a numerical model integrating the hydrodynamics of gas–liquid and the reaction of interphase mass transfer was built based on Euler–Lagrange method in this work. The flow and mass transfer characteristics of complex multi-component system in water injection pipeline were investigated, and the correlation between process operating conditions and gas removal performance was analyzed. The results reveal that the removal efficiencies of corrosive gases in pipeline are influenced by the characteristics of gas–liquid flow and mass transfer, with HCl showing higher removal efficiency compared to NH3 and H2S. Furthermore, the increasing flow rate of water injection, the reducing corrosive medium content and the decreasing droplet diameter have a positive impact on the removal efficiencies of corrosive gases, while the impact of gas-flow velocity on the removal efficiencies of corrosive gases primarily depends on the residence time of droplets. Aiming at the problem that the Osprey Optimization Algorithm (OOA) does not have high optimization accuracy and is prone to falling into local optimum, an Improved Osprey Optimization Algorithm Based on a Two-Color Complementary Mechanism for Global Optimization (IOOA) is proposed. The core of the IOOA algorithm lies in its unique two-color complementary mechanism, which significantly improves the algorithm's global search capability and optimization performance. Firstly, in the initialization stage, the population is created by combining logistic chaos mapping and the good point set method, and the population is divided into four different color groups by drawing on the four-color theory to enhance the population diversity. Secondly, a two-color complementary mechanism is introduced, where the blue population maintains the OOA core exploration strategy to ensure the stability and efficiency of the algorithm; the red population incorporates the Harris Hawk heuristic strategy in the development phase to strengthen the ability of local minima avoidance; the green group adopts the strolling and wandering strategy in the searching phase to add stochasticity and maintain the diversity; and the orange population implements the optimized spiral search and firefly perturbation strategies to deepen the exploration and effectively perturb the local optimums, respectively, to improve the overall population diversity, effectively perturbing the local optimum to improve the performance of the algorithm and the exploration ability of the solution space as a whole. Finally, to validate the performance of IOOA, classical benchmark functions and CEC2020 and CEC2022 test sets are selected for simulation, and ANOVA is used, as well as Wilcoxon and Friedman tests. Mechanical soil parameters are not constants and can be defined in various ways. Therefore, determination of their values for engineering practice is difficult. This problem is discussed based on results of piezoceramic element tests and triaxial tests (unconfined and confined) on loess specimens improved by compaction and sand admixture (20% by weight). The study indicated also the effectiveness of this simple method of loess stabilization. The influence of specimen size, draining conditions, stress and strain state, and different calculation methods on the evaluation of basic mechanical parameters were analyzed. The initial shear and Young's moduli, the degradation of secant moduli with strain, tangent moduli, and Poisson' ratio were determined. The results showed that the shear strength parameters are much less sensitive to the test variables than the stiffness parameters are. In triaxial tests, the strength criterion adopted, the sample size, and the drainage conditions influenced the measured value of cohesion, with a much smaller impact on the angle of internal friction. On the other hand, the adopted definition of the parameter and the range of strains had the greatest influence on the value of the stiffness modulus. Conventional Fenton chemical oxidation was more difficult to directly oxid all alkanes of long, mid and short-chain alkanes in oil-contaminated soil. To investigate the direct and fast oxidation mechanism of all alkanes in the soil by the fast oxidation group using two different soils for the direct oxidation experiments. The results showed that the hydrophilic Fe-SOM rich in hydrophilic groups could directly oxidize all alkanes in the soil with a high removal rate of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) (59.0%–72.5%). Similarly, for the oxidation of long-chain alkanes (C23-C30), the fast oxidation group in which the hydrophilic Fe-SOM was located had higher removal rates (52%-64%). Regarding long chain oxidation per unit hydroxyl radicals (•OH) intensity, the fast oxidation group was significantly higher than the slow oxidation group (1.3–4.2 times). The results revealed a well-linear fit (r2 = 0.97, 0.81) for total iron and FeOOH with hydrophilic groups such as C=O and C-O-C in the fast oxidation group regarding content. Hydrophilic Fe-SOM enabled the rapid decomposition (51% − 88%) of H2O2 in the presence of hydrophilic promoters such as humic acid (49%−79%). The hydrophilic groups and hydrophilic promoters made the •OH generated by decomposition collide and react with pollutants rapidly to maximize the •OH in the liquid phase. The TPH removal efficiency per the unit intensity of •OH in the fast oxidation group was 3.74 times higher than in the slow oxidation group. The long-chain removal efficiency was 4.2 times higher than that in the slow oxidation group. The above results indirectly proved that the oxidation reaction in the fast oxidation group occurred at the petroleum pollutants and also demonstrated that the technology is an in situ oxidation technology. Electromagnet coil is mainly composed of enameled wire which wound on the coil skeleton, and the function is to convert the electrical signal into a magnetic signal, which is a very important electric‐magnetic conversion element. When designing the electromagnet coil, usually only the total winding turns and winding inner diameter can be calculated, and the specific design parameters such as the diameter of copper wire, paint layer thickness, and winding turns of each layer can only be selected through experience, indicating that the design method should be improved. In addition, the unreasonable design parameters will seriously affect the power consumption and cost of coil, so it is highly necessary to improve the optimization design method. In order to solve the above problems, an optimization design method for DC electromagnet coil is proposed in this paper. This method simultaneously takes into account both power consumption and manufacturing cost, and can achieve the optimal matching of design parameters. In this paper, the structure of electromagnet coil is introduced, and the theoretical calculation model of resistance is improved first. Then, according to the expected requirements of electromagnet coil for steady current, the optimization design method is proposed and the optimal design parameters are obtained. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed optimization design method is verified by the test platform of electromagnet coil. The results show that the electromagnet coil designed by the optimization design method fully meets the expected requirements. Quality control testing of dental materials requires a standard to enable the generation of reproducible and comparable data. Currently there are no standards for testing materials used for vital pulp therapy. The aim of this study was to develop a new standard to evaluate solubility of pulp preservation materials. The solubility of three materials used for vital pulp therapy: Biodentine, TheraCal and Activa was evaluated using two international standards for dental materials ISO 4049:2019 (S1) and ISO 6876:2012 (S2). For both standards, a modified methodology was evaluated. This included changing the volume of the solution used (S1M, S2M), using Dulbecco's modified eagle medium (DMEM) as an alternative to water (S1D, S2D) and periodic solution change for the ISO 4049 method (S1P, S1MP). Materials were characterised before and after completion of solubility test using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The test materials exhibited different solubility values depending on the methodology used. Biodentine exhibited significantly lower solubility when lower volumes of solution were used when tested using both ISO methods (p ≤ 0.05). TheraCal and Activa showed negative solubility values after desiccation when tested using ISO 4049:2019. The Biodentine exhibited changes in its microstructure which was dependent on the method used to test solubility. The solubility values obtained were dependent on the method used. Sample entropy embeds time series into m-dimensional spaces and estimates entropy based on the distances between points in these spaces. However, when samples can be considered as missing or invalid, defining distance in the embedding space becomes problematic. Preprocessing techniques, such as deletion or interpolation, can be employed as a solution, producing time series without missing or invalid values. While deletion ignores missing values, interpolation replaces them using approximations based on neighboring points. This paper proposes a novel approach for the computation of sample entropy when values are considered as missing or invalid. The proposed algorithm accommodates points in the m-dimensional space and handles them there. A theoretical and experimental comparison of the proposed algorithm with deletion and interpolation demonstrates several advantages over these other two approaches. A validated model offers a consistent framework for decision-makers to understand the critical factors influencing performance across different data sets. Gravel roads (GR) are vital in Tanzania, comprising over 75% of the road network, with 65% in poor condition. Value engineering (VE) has emerged as a promising tool to enhance GR maintenance, accounting up to 83.3% of the variance, as demonstrated by a model developed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This paper therefore evaluates the validation of a Model Developed for Value Engineering Approach Performance on Gravel Roads Maintenance Projects in Tanzania using split data methodology and the PLSpredict tool in SmartPLS, which assesses the out-of-sample predictive power of PLS-SEM. The results revealed that the model exhibits medium predictive relevance for the corresponding constructs, with 65.38% and 61.22% of indicators in the PLS-SEM yielding smaller prediction errors compared to the naïve linear regression model (LM) benchmark for training and validation data sets, respectively. These findings validate the model's ability to predict future data effectively, supporting its use for decision-making and strategic planning. The study concludes that adopting a VE approach to enhance GR maintenance projects in Tanzania and other regions is crucial, given the model's predictive relevance across different data sets. Wound healing is facilitated by biomaterials-based grafts and substantially impacted by orchestrated inflammatory responses that are essential to the normal repair process. Tropoelastin (TE) based materials are known to shorten the period for wound repair but the mechanism of anti-inflammatory performance is not known. To explore this, we compared the performance of the gold standard Integra Dermal Regeneration Template (Integra), polyglycerol sebacate (PGS), and TE blended with PGS, in a murine full-thickness cutaneous wound healing study. Systemically, blending with TE favorably increased the F4/80+ macrophage population by day 7 in the spleen and contemporaneously induced elevated plasma levels of anti-inflammatory IL-10. In contrast, the PGS graft without TE prompted prolonged inflammation, as evidenced by splenomegaly and greater splenic granulocyte and monocyte fractions at day 14. Locally, the inclusion of TE in the graft led to increased anti-inflammatory M2 macrophages and CD4+ T cells at the wound site, and a rise in Foxp3+ regulatory T cells in the wound bed by day 7. We conclude that the TE-incorporated skin graft delivers a pro-healing environment by modulating systemic and local tissue responses. Tropoelastin (TE) has shown significant benefits in promoting the repair and regeneration of damaged human tissues. In this study, we show that TE promotes an anti-inflammatory environment that facilitates cutaneous wound healing. In a mouse model, we find that inserting a TE-containing material into a full-thickness wound results in defined, pro-healing local and systemic tissue responses. Cloud model similarity algorithm is an important part of cloud modelling theory. Most of the existing cloud model similarity algorithms suffer from poor discriminability, poor classification, unstable results, and low time efficiency. In this paper, a new similarity algorithm is proposed that considers the triangular cloud model distance and shape. First, according to the D T distance formula, a new exponential closeness measure is defined, with which the distance similarity of cloud models is characterized. Then, the shape similarity is calculated according to the variance of the cloud model cloud drops. Finally, the two similarities are synthesized to define a similarity algorithm for determining the distance from the D T distance formula and shape based on the triangular cloud model (DDTSTCM). In this paper, discriminability, stability, efficiency and theoretical interpretability are taken as the evaluation indices. Equipment security system capability evaluation experiment, cloud model differentiation simulation experiment and time series classification accuracy experiment are set up to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm in terms of the four above aspects. The experimental results show that DDTSTCM has good differentiation and excellent classification effects. In the classification experiment for the time series, the average classification accuracy of DDTSTCM reaches 91.78%, which is at least 2.78% higher than those of the other seven commonly used algorithms. The CPU running efficiency of DDTSTCM is also extremely high, and the average CPU running time of group training is always on the order of milliseconds, which effectively reduces the time cost. Finally, a case study is conducted to analyse a risk assessment problem for China's island microgrid industry, and the evaluation results based on DDTSTCM are in line with human cognition and have good value for engineering applications. Space radiation particle detection plays a crucial role in scientific research and engineering practice, especially in particle species identification. Currently, commonly used in-orbit particle identification techniques include telescope methods, electrostatic analysis time of flight (ESA × TOF), time-of-flight energy (TOF × E), and pulse shape discrimination (PSD). However, these methods usually fail to utilize the full waveform information containing rich features, and their particle identification results may be affected by the random rise and fall of particle deposition and noise interference. In this study, a low-latency and lightweight onboard FPGA real-time particle identification platform based on full waveform information was developed utilizing the superior target classification, robustness, and generalization capabilities of convolutional neural networks (CNNs). The platform constructs diversified input datasets based on the physical features of waveforms and uses Optuna and Pytorch software architectures for model training. The hardware platform is responsible for the real-time inference of waveform data and the dynamic expansion of the dataset. The platform was utilized for deep learning training and the testing of the historical waveform data of neutron and gamma rays, and the inference time of a single waveform takes 4.9 microseconds, with an accuracy rate of over 97%. The classification expectation FOM (figure-of-merit) value of this CNN model is 133, which is better than the traditional pulse shape discrimination (PSD) algorithm's FOM value of 0.8. The development of this platform not only improves the accuracy and efficiency of space particle discrimination but also provides an advanced tool for future space environment monitoring, which is of great value for engineering applications. With the advent of the digital era, the demand for engineering and technological talents in the market is increasing. It is crucial to design a sustainable training and evaluation system suitable for engineering and technological innovation talents. However, traditional data evaluation models have problems with unsuitable evaluation indicators and low model accuracy. Therefore, the paper selects the decision-making-oriented evaluation model to build the basic talent training evaluation indicators, and design expert questionnaires based on the Delphi method to screen indicators. Moreover, the paper also combines the adaptive genetic algorithm optimised backpropagation neural network to establish a talent cultivation evaluation model, and conducts simulation experiments using MATLAB to verify its feasibility. The results showed that the evaluation accuracy R value of the research model was 0.99635, and the fitness value was 1.34, which was 0.5 higher than the unmodified model and achieved good evaluation results. At the same time, by comparing with the traditional genetic algorithm optimised model and the unimproved backpropagation model, the average evaluation accuracy of the research model increased by 66.44% and 13.59%, and the recall rate increased by 10.79% and 23.96%. The research model has improved the accuracy of evaluation, and its adaptability has also been enhanced, achieving superior evaluation results, which has important value in the cultivation of engineering and technological innovation talents. Purpose: The work on bridge resilience assessment includes quantitative and qualitative approaches to compare the multiple bridges based on their resilience. But still, the bridge resilience obtained by these assessment approaches is inefficient when prioritising multiple bridges to improve their resilience. Therefore, this study aims to develop a methodology for prioritising the bridges to improve their resilience. Design/methodology/approach: The research methodology follows three sequential phases. In the first phase, criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC) technique is used to compute the criteria weights. The criteria considered are age, area, design high flood level, finish road level FRL and resilience index of bridges. While 12 river-crossing bridges maintained by one bridge owner are considered as alternatives. Then, in the second phase, the prioritisation of each bridge is evaluated using five techniques, including technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution, VIKOR (in Serbian, Visekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje), additive ratio assessment, complex proportional assessment and multi-objective optimisation method by ratio analysis. Finally, in the third phase, the results of all five techniques are integrated using CRITIC and the weighted sum method. Findings: The result of the study enables bridge owners to deal with the particular bridge that requires resilience improvement. The study concluded that it is not enough to consider only the bridge resilience index to improve its resilience. The prioritisation exercise should consider various other criteria that are not preferred during the bridge resilience assessment process. Originality/value: The proposed methodology is a novel framework based on the existing multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques for contributing knowledge in the domain of bridge resilience management. The decline of explosive properties of emulsion explosives will seriously affect the blasting effect in the environment of low temperature. The study on the evolution law of explosive properties of the emulsion explosives in coordination with the temperature variation of the emulsion explosives presents a certain engineering application value. A series of precise temperature control devices for emulsion explosives were designed, and then the detonation velocity, the brisance, the working capacity and the overpressure of air shock wave were measured with various temperature of 25, 0, -5, -10 and -15 °C. Meanwhile, the microstructure of the emulsion explosives was characterized. The experimental results showed that when the temperature of the emulsion explosives was reduced from 25 °C to -15 °C, the detonation velocity of the explosive was reduced from 4 227 m/s to 3 291 m/s, the brisance of the explosive was reduced from 13.0 mm to 5.2 mm, the working capacity of the explosives was reduced from 323 mL to 208 mL, and the overpressure of air shock wave was reduced from 284.9 kPa to 115.8 kPa. With the decrease of the temperature of the emulsion explosives, the precipitation of ammonium nitrate crystal increased along with the partial structure failure of the emulsion particles, resulting in changes in the microstructure and declines in the explosive properties of the emulsion explosives. Low-temperature environment mostly affected the brisance of emulsion explosives, but slightly affected the detonation velocity. With the decrease of temperature, the decline amplitude of explosive properties would be accelerated.
