Extensions of Lie algebras equipped with Sasakian or Frobenius-K\"ahler geometrical structures are studied. Conditions are given so that a double extension of a Sasakian Lie algebra be Sasakian again. Conditions are also given for obtaining either a Sasakian or a Frobernius-K\"ahler Lie algebra upon respectively extending a Frobernius-K\"ahler or a Sasakian Lie algebra by adjoining a derivation of the source algebra. Quadratic Hom-Lie algebras with equivariant twist maps are studied. They are completely characterized in terms of a maximal proper ideal that contains the kernel of the twist map and a complementary subspace to it that is either 1-dimensional, or has the structure of a simple Lie algebra. It is shown how the analogue of the double extension construction works well for quadratic Hom-Lie algebras with equivariant twist maps and prove that any indecomposable and quadratic Hom-Lie algebra with equivariant and nilpotent twist map can be identified with such a double extension., Comment: Theorem A, page 19, is wrong. Hom-Lie algebras having non-invertible twist maps in their centroids are studied. Central extensions of Hom-Lie algebras having these properties are obtained and shown how the same properties are preserved. Conditions are given so that the produced central extension has an invariant metric with respect to its Hom-Lie product making its twist map self-adjoint when the original Hom-Lie algebra has such a metric. This work is focused on algebras with these properties and following Benayadi and Makhloufwe call them quadratic Hom-Lie algebras. It is shown how a quadratic Hom-Lie algebra gives rise to a quadratic Lie algebra and that the Lie algebra associated to the given Hom-Lie central extension is a Lie algebra central extension of it. It is also shown that if the Hom-Lie product is not a Lie product, there exists a non-abelian algebra, which is in general non-associative too, the commutator of whose product is precisely the Hom-Lie product of the Hom-Lie central extension. Moreover, the algebra whose commutator realizes this Hom-Lie product is shown to be simple if the associated Lie algebra is nilpotent. Non-trivial examples are provided.

A variety of new physical processes have proven to play an important role in orbital decay of a satellite galaxy embedded inside a dark matter halo but this is not fully understood. Our goal is to assess if the orbital history of a satellite remains unchanged during a concurrent sinking. For this purpose we analyze the impact that the internal structure of the satellites and their spatial distribution inside the host halo may have on the concurrent sinking process due to both mass loss and the combined effect of self-friction, which have not been studied before for concurrent sinking. We set up a set of N-body simulations that include multiple satellites, sinking simultaneously in a host halo and we compare them with models including a single satellite. The main result of our work is that the satellite's accretion history differs from the classical isolated view when we consider the collective effects. The accretion history of each satellite strongly depends on the initial configuration, the number of satellites in the halo at the time of infall and the internal properties of each satellite. We observe that compact satellites in a flat configuration fall slower than extended satellites that have lost mass, showing a non-reported behavior of self-friction. We find that such effects are maximized when satellites are located in a flat configuration. We show that in a flat configuration similar to the Vast Polar Structure, deviations in the apocenters can be of about 30% with respect to the isolated case, and up to 50% on the eccentricities. We conclude that ignoring the collective effects produced by the concurrent sinking of satellite galaxies may lead to large errors in the determination of the merger progenitors properties, making it considerably more challenging to trace back the accretion event. Context. Extragalactic surveys are a key tool for better understanding the evolution of galaxies. Both deep and wide-field surveys serve to provide a clearer emerging picture of the physical processes that take place in and around galaxies, and to identify which of these processes are the most important in shaping the properties of galaxies. Aims. The Lockman Spectroscopic Redshift Survey using Osiris (Lockman-SpReSO) aims to provide one of the most complete optical spectroscopic follow-ups of the far-infrared (FIR) sources detected by the \textit{Herschel} Space Observatory in the Lockman Hole (LH) field. The optical spectroscopic study of the FIR-selected galaxies supplies valuable information about the relation between fundamental FIR and optical parameters, including extinction, star formation rate, and gas metallicity. In this article, we introduce and provide an in-depth description of the Lockman-SpReSO project and of its early results. Methods. We selected FIR sources from \textit{Herschel} observations of the central 24 arcmin $\times$ 24 arcmin of the LH field with an optical counterpart up to 24.5 $R_{\rm C}$(AB). The sample comprises 956 \textit{Herschel} FIR sources, plus 188 additional interesting objects in the field. These are point X-ray sources, cataclysmic variable star candidates, high-velocity halo star candidates, radio sources, very red quasi-stellar objects, and optical counterparts of sub-millimetre galaxies. The faint component of the catalogue ($R_{\rm C}(\mathrm{AB})\geq20$) was observed using the OSIRIS instrument on the 10.4 m Gran Telescopio Canarias in multi-object spectroscopy (MOS) mode. The bright component was observed using two multi-fibre spectrographs: the AF2-WYFFOS at the William Herschel Telescope and the HYDRA instrument at the WYIN telescope., Comment: 22 pages, 12 figures

We present the MaNGA Dwarf galaxy, MaNDala, Value-Added-Catalog, VAC, from the final release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey-IV program. MaNDala consists of 136 randomly selected bright dwarf galaxies with $M_{*}<10^{9.1}\odot$ and $M_{g}>-18.5$ making it the largest Integral Field Spectroscopy homogeneous sample of dwarf galaxies. We release a photometric analysis of the $g,r$ and $z$ broadband imaging based on the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys as well as the spectroscopic analysis based on the Pipe3D SDSS-IV VAC. Our release includes the surface brightness (SB), geometric parameters and color profiles, S\'ersic fits as well as stellar population properties (such as, stellar ages, metallicities, star formation histories), and emission lines fluxes within the FOV and the effective radii of the galaxies. We find that the majority of the MaNDala galaxies are star forming late-type galaxies with $\langle{}n_{\text{Sersic,r}}\rangle\sim1.6$ that are centrals (central/satellite dichotomy). MaNDala covers a large range of SB values (we find 11 candidates of ultra diffuse galaxies and 3 compact ones), filling the gap between classical dwarfs and low-mass galaxies in the Kormendy Diagram and in the size-mass/luminosity relation, whichseems to flatten at $10^82$, while the last $20\%$ was at $\langle{}z\rangle<0.3$. Finally, a bending of the sSFR-$M_{*}$ relation at $M_{*}\sim10^{9}\odot$ for the main sequence galaxies seems to be supported by MaNDala., Comment: 29 pages, 17 figures. The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) has embarked on an ambitious five-year survey to explore the nature of dark energy with spectroscopy of 40 million galaxies and quasars. DESI will determine precise redshifts and employ the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation method to measure distances from the nearby universe to z > 3.5, as well as measure the growth of structure and probe potential modifications to general relativity. In this paper we describe the significant instrumentation we developed for the DESI survey. The new instrumentation includes a wide-field, 3.2-deg diameter prime-focus corrector that focuses the light onto 5020 robotic fiber positioners on the 0.812 m diameter, aspheric focal surface. The positioners and their fibers are divided among ten wedge-shaped petals. Each petal is connected to one of ten spectrographs via a contiguous, high-efficiency, nearly 50 m fiber cable bundle. The ten spectrographs each use a pair of dichroics to split the light into three channels that together record the light from 360 - 980 nm with a resolution of 2000 to 5000. We describe the science requirements, technical requirements on the instrumentation, and management of the project. DESI was installed at the 4-m Mayall telescope at Kitt Peak, and we also describe the facility upgrades to prepare for DESI and the installation and functional verification process. DESI has achieved all of its performance goals, and the DESI survey began in May 2021. Some performance highlights include RMS positioner accuracy better than 0.1", SNR per \sqrt{\AA} > 0.5 for a z > 2 quasar with flux 0.28e-17 erg/s/cm^2/A at 380 nm in 4000s, and median SNR = 7 of the [OII] doublet at 8e-17 erg/s/cm^2 in a 1000s exposure for emission line galaxies at z = 1.4 - 1.6. Hom-Lie algebras defined on central extensions of a given quadratic Lie algebra that in turn admit an invariant metric, are studied. It is shown how some of these algebras are naturally equipped with other symmetric, bilinear forms that satisfy an invariant condition for their twisted multiplication maps. The twisted invariant bilinear forms so obtained resemble the Cartan-Killing forms defined on ordinary Lie algebras. This fact allows one to reproduce on the Hom-Lie algebras hereby studied, some results that are classically associated to the ordinary Cartan-Killing form.

We report observation of strong magnetic proximity coupling in a heterostructured superconductor Sr$_2$VO$_3$FeAs, determined by the upper critical fields $H_{c2}(T)$ measurements up to 65 T. Using the resistivity and the radio-frequency measurements for both $H \parallel ab$ and $H \parallel c$, we found a strong upward curvature of $H_{c2}^c(T)$, together with a steep increase of $H_{c2}^{ab}(T)$ near $T_c$, yielding the anisotropic factor $\gamma_H=H_{c2}^{ab}/H_{c2}^c$ up to $\sim$ 20, the largest value among iron-based superconductors. These are attributed to the Jaccarino-Peter effect, rather than to the multiband effect, due to strong exchange interaction between itinerant Fe spins of the FeAs layers and localized V spins of Mott-insulating SrVO$_3$ layers. These findings provide evidence for strong antiferromagnetic proximity coupling, comparable with the intralayer superexchange interaction of SrVO$_3$ layer and sufficient to induce magnetic frustration in Sr$_2$VO$_3$FeAs., Comment: 4 figures

The large dynamic range in some astrophysical N-body problems led to the use of adaptive multi-time-steps; however, the search for optimal strategies is still challenging. We numerically quantify the performance of the hierarchical Hamiltonian Splitting (HHS) integrator for collisionless simulations using a direct summation code. We compare HHS with the constant global time-step leapfrog integrator, and with the adaptive one (AKDK). We find that HHS is approximately reversible, whereas AKDK not. Therefore, it is possible to find a combination of parameters where the energy drift is considerably milder for HHS, resulting in a better performance. We conclude that HHS is an attractive alternative to AKDK, and it is certainly advantageous for direct summation and P3M codes. We use the stellar kinematics for $2458$ galaxies from the MaNGA survey to explore dynamical scaling relations between the stellar mass $M_{\star}$ and the total velocity parameter at the effective radius, $R_e$, defined as $S_{K}^{2}=KV_{R_e}^{2}+\sigma_{\star_e}^{2}$, which combines rotation velocity $V_{R_e}$, and velocity dispersion $\sigma_{\star_e}$. We confirm that spheroidal and spiral galaxies follow the same $M_{\star}-S_{0.5}$ scaling relation with lower scatter than the $M_{\star}-V_{R_e}$ and $M_{\star}-\sigma_{\star_e}$ ones. We also explore a more general Universal Fundamental Plane described by the equation $log(\Upsilon_{e}) = log (S_{0.5}^{2}) - log (I_{e}) - log (R_{e}) + C$, which in addition to kinematics, $S_{0.5}$, and effective radius, $R_e$, it includes surface brightness, $I_e$, and dynamical mass-to-light ratio, $\Upsilon_e$. We use sophisticated Schwarzschild dynamical models for a sub-sample of 300 galaxies from the CALIFA survey to calibrate the so called Universal Fundamental Plane. That calibration allows us to propose both: (i) a parametrization to estimate the difficult-to-measure dynamical mass-to-light ratio at the effective radius; and (ii) a new dynamical mass proxy consistent with dynamical models within $0.09\ dex$. We reproduce the relation between the dynamical mass and the stellar mass in the inner regions of galaxies. We use the estimated dynamical mass-to-light ratio from our analysis, $\Upsilon_{e}^{fit}$, to explore the Universal Fundamental Plane with the MaNGA data set. We find that all classes of galaxies, from spheroids to disks, follow this Universal Fundamental Plane with a scatter significantly smaller $(0.05\ dex)$ than the one reported for the $M_{\star}-S_{0.5}$ relation $(0.1\ dex)$, the Fundamental Plane $(\sim 0.09\ dex)$ and comparable with Tully-Fisher studies $(\sim 0.05\ dex)$, but for a wider range of galaxy types., Comment: Submitted to ApJ. 21 pages, 12 figures

Solvable Lie algebras having at least one Abelian descending central ideal are studied. It is shown that all such Lie algebras can be built up from canonically defined ideals. The nature of such ideals is elucidated and their construction is provided in detail. An approach to study and to classify these Lie algebras is given through the theory of extensions via appropriate cocycles and representations on which a group action is naturally defined. Also, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of invariant metrics on the studied extensions are given. It is shown that any solvable quadratic Lie algebra $\g$ having an Abelian descending central ideal is of the form $\g=\h\oplus\a\oplus\h^*$, where $\h^*\simeq \ide(\g)$ and $\a \oplus \h^{*}\simeq \j(\g)$ are in fact two canonically defined Abelian ideals of $\g$ satisfying $\ide(\g)^\perp=\j(\g)$. As an example, a classification of this type of quadratic Lie algebras is given assuming that $\j(\g)/\ide(\g)$ is an $r$-dimensional vector space and $\g/\j(\g)$ is the 3-dimensional Heisenberg Lie algebra., Comment: This is a revised version of the manuscript On Quadratic Lie Algebras With Non-trivial Center [arXiv:1911.05009v3]. We study the nonlinear regime of large scale structure formation considering a dynamical dark energy (DE) component determined by a Steep Equation of State parametrization (SEoS) $w(z)=w_0+w_i\frac{(z/z_T)^q}{1+(z/z_T)^q}$. In order to perform the model exploration at low computational cost, we modified the public code L-PICOLA. We incorporate the DE model by means of the first and second-order matter perturbations in the Lagrangian frame and the expansion parameter. We analyze deviations of SEoS models with respect to $\Lambda$CDM in the non-linear matter power spectrum ($P_k$), the halo mass function (HMF), and the two-point correlation function (2PCF). On quantifying the nature of steep (SEoS-I) and smooth transitions in DE field (CPL-lim), no signature of steep transition is observed, rather found the overall impact of DE behaviors in $P_k$ at level of $\sim 2-3\%$ and $\sim 3-4\%$ differences w.r.t $\Lambda$CDM at $z=0$ respectively. HMF shows the possibility to distinguish between the models at the high mass ends. The best-fitted model assuming only background and linear perturbations dubbed as SEoS-II largely deviates from $\Lambda$CDM and current observations on studying the nonlinear growth. This large deviation in SEoS-II also quantified the combined effect of the dynamical DE and the larger amount of matter contained, $\Omega_{m0}$ and $H_{0}$ accordingly. 2PCF results are relatively robust with $\sim 1-2 \%$ deviation for SEoS-I and CPL-lim and a significant deviation for SEoS-II throughout $r$ from $\Lambda$CDM. Finally, we conclude that the search for viable DE models (like the SEoS) must include non-linear growth constraints., Comment: 23 pages, 8 figues, 2 tables

Estimating the bar pattern speed (\Om{}) is one of the main challenges faced in understanding the role of stellar bars in galaxy dynamical evolution. This work aims to characterise different uncertainty sources affecting the Tremaine Weinberg (TW)-method to study the correlation between bar and galaxies physical parameters. We use a sample of 15 MaNGA SDSS-IV galaxies and 3 CALIFA galaxies from \cite{Aguerri2015}. We studied the errors related with (i) galaxy centre determination, (ii) disc position angle (PA) emphasising the difficulties triggered by outer non-axisymmetric structures besides the bar, (iii) the slits length and (iv) the spatial resolution. In average, the PA uncertainties range $\sim 15 \%$, the slit length $\sim 9 \%$ and the centring error $\sim 5 \%$. Reducing the spatial resolution increases the sensitivity to the PA error. Through Monte Carlo simulations, we estimate the probability distribution of the \R{} bar speed parameter. The present sample is composed of 7 slow, 4 fast and 7 ultrafast bars, with no trend with morphological types. Although uncertainties and low sample numbers may mask potential correlations between physical properties, we present a discussion of them: We observe an anti-correlation of \Om{} with the bar length and the stellar mass, suggesting that massive galaxies tend to host longer and slower bars. We also observe a correlation of the molecular gas fraction with \R{}, and a weak anti-correlation with \Om{}, suggesting that bars rotate slower in gaseous discs. We explore two possible scenarios to explain the observed gamma-ray emission associated with the atypical globular cluster Omega-Centauri: emission from millisecond pulsars (MSP) and dark matter (DM) annihilation. In the first case the total number of MSPs needed to produce the gamma-ray flux is compatible with the known (but not confirmed) MSP candidates observed in X-rays. A DM interpretation is motivated by the possibility of Omega-Centauri being the remnant core of an ancient dwarf galaxy hosting a surviving DM component. At least two annihilation channels, light quarks and muons, can plausibly produce the observed gama-ray spectrum. We outline constraints on the parameter space of DM mass versus the product of the pair-annihilation cross section and integrated squared DM density (the so-called J-factor). We translate upper limits on the dark matter content of Omega-Centauri into lower limits on the annihilation cross section. This shows s-wave annihilation into muons to be inconsistent with CMB observations, while a small window for annihilation into light quarks is allowed. Further analysis of Omega-Centauri's internal kinematics, and/or additional information on the resident MSP population will yield much stronger constraints and shed light about the origin of this otherwise mysterious gamma-ray source., Comment: 13 pages, 5 figures

We study and classify the 3-dimensional Hom-Lie algebras over $\mathbb{C}$. We provide first a complete set of representatives for the isomorphism classes of skew-symmetric bilinear products defined on a 3-dimensional complex vector space $\mathfrak{g}$. The well known Lie brackets for the 3-dimensional Lie algebras are included into appropriate isomorphism classes of such products representatives. For each product representative, we provide a complete set of canonical forms for the linear maps $\mathfrak{g} \to \mathfrak{g}$ that turn $g$ into a Hom-Lie algebra, thus characterizing the corresponding isomorphism classes. As by-products, Hom-Lie algebras for which the linear maps $\mathfrak{g} \to \mathfrak{g}$ are not homomorphisms for their products, are exhibited. Examples also arise of non-isomorphic families of HomLie algebras which share, however, a fixed Lie-algebra product on $\mathfrak{g}$. In particular, this is the case for the complex simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2(\mathbb{C})$. Similarly, there are isomorphism classes for which their skew-symmetric bilinear products can never be Lie algebra brackets on $\mathfrak{g}$.

We investigate the dependence of the galaxy-halo connection and galaxy density field in modified gravity models using the $N-$body simulations for $f(R)$ and nDGP models at $z=0$. Because of the screening mechanisms employed by these models, chameleon and Vainshtein, halos are clustered differently in the non-linear regime of structure formation. We quantify their deviations in the galaxy density field from the standard $\Lambda$CDM model under different environments. We populate galaxies in halos via the (Sub)Halo Abundance Matching. Our main results are: 1) The galaxy-halo connection {\it strongly} depends on the gravity model; a maximum variation of $\sim40\%$ is observed between Halo Occupational Distribution (HOD) parameters; 2) $f(R)$ gravity models predict an excess of galaxies in low density environments of $\sim10\%$ but predict a deficit of $\sim10\%$ at high density environments for $|f_{R0}| = 10^{-4}$ and $10^{-6}$ while $|f_{R0}| = 10^{-5}$ predicts more high density structures; nDGP models are consistent with $\Lambda$CDM; 3) Different gravity models predict different dependences of the galaxy luminosity function (GLF) with the environment, especially in void-like regions we find differences around $\sim10\%$ for the $f(R)$ models while nDPG models remain closer to $\Lambda$CDM for low-luminosity galaxies but there is a deficit of $\sim11\%$ for high-luminosity galaxies in all environments. We conclude that the dependence of the GLF with environment might provide a test to distinguish between gravity models and their screening mechanisms from the $\Lambda$CDM. We used ionized gas and stellar kinematics for 667 spatially resolved galaxies publicly available from the Calar Alto Legacy Integral Field Area survey (CALIFA) 3rd Data Release with the aim of studying kinematic scaling relations as the Tully $\&$ Fisher (TF) relation using rotation velocity, $V_{rot}$, the Faber $\&$ Jackson (FJ) relation using velocity dispersion, $\sigma$, and also a combination of $V_{rot}$ and $\sigma$ through the $S_{K}$ parameter defined as $S_{K}^2 = KV_{rot}^2 + \sigma^2$ with constant $K$. Late-type and early-type galaxies reproduce the TF and FJ relations. Some early-type galaxies also follow the TF relation and some late-type galaxies the FJ relation, but always with larger scatter. On the contrary, when we use the $S_{K}$ parameter, all galaxies, regardless of the morphological type, lie on the same scaling relation, showing a tight correlation with the total stellar mass, $M_\star$. Indeed, we find that the scatter in this relation is smaller or equal to that of the TF and FJ relations. We explore different values of the $K$ parameter without significant differences (slope and scatter) in our final results with respect the case $K=0.5$ besides than a small change in the zero point. We calibrate the kinematic $S_{K}^2$ dynamical mass proxy in order to make it consistent with sophisticated published dynamical models within $0.15\ dex$. We show that the $S_{K}$ proxy is able to reproduce the relation between the dynamical mass and the stellar mass in the inner regions of galaxies. Our result may be useful in order to produce fast estimations of the central dynamical mass in galaxies and to study correlations in large galaxy surveys., Comment: accepted by MNRAS

A quadratic Lie algebra is a Lie algebra endowed with a symmetric, invariant and non degenerate bilinear form; such a bilinear form is called an invariant metric. The aim of this work is to describe the general structure of those central extensions of quadratic Lie algebras which in turn have invariantmetrics. The structure is such that the central extensions can be described algebraically in terms of the original quadratic Lie algebra, and geometrically in terms of the direct sum decompositions that the invariant metrics involvedgive rise to.

We present here the characterization of the main properties of a sample of 98 AGN host galaxies, both type-II and type-I, in comparison with those of about 2700 non-active galaxies observed by the MaNGA survey. We found that AGN hosts are morphologically early-type or early-spirals. For a given morphology AGN hosts are, in average, more massive, more compact, more central peaked and rather pressurethan rotational-supported systems. We confirm previous results indicating that AGN hosts are located in the intermediate/transition region between star-forming and non-star-forming galaxies (i.e., the so-called green valley), both in the ColorMagnitude and the star formation main sequence diagrams. Taking into account their relative distribution in terms of the stellar metallicity and oxygen gas abundance and a rough estimation of their molecular gas content, we consider that these galaxies are in the process of halting/quenching the star formation, in an actual transition between both groups. The analysis of the radial distributions of the starformation rate, specific star-formation rate, and molecular gas density shows that the quenching happens from inside-out involving both a decrease of the efficiency of the star formation and a deficit of molecular gas. The fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) has been in operation since July 2014. This paper describes the second data release from this phase, and the fourteenth from SDSS overall (making this, Data Release Fourteen or DR14). This release makes public data taken by SDSS-IV in its first two years of operation (July 2014-2016). Like all previous SDSS releases, DR14 is cumulative, including the most recent reductions and calibrations of all data taken by SDSS since the first phase began operations in 2000. New in DR14 is the first public release of data from the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS); the first data from the second phase of the Apache Point Observatory (APO) Galactic Evolution Experiment (APOGEE-2), including stellar parameter estimates from an innovative data driven machine learning algorithm known as "The Cannon"; and almost twice as many data cubes from the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at APO (MaNGA) survey as were in the previous release (N = 2812 in total). This paper describes the location and format of the publicly available data from SDSS-IV surveys. We provide references to the important technical papers describing how these data have been taken (both targeting and observation details) and processed for scientific use. The SDSS website (www.sdss.org) has been updated for this release, and provides links to data downloads, as well as tutorials and examples of data use. We report the peculiar chemical abundance patterns of eleven atypical Milky Way (MW) field red giant stars observed by the Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment (APOGEE). These atypical giants exhibit strong Al and N enhancements accompanied by C and Mg depletions, strikingly similar to those observed in the so-called second-generation (SG) stars of globular clusters (GCs). Remarkably, we find low-Mg abundances ([Mg/Fe]$<$0.0) together with strong Al and N overabundances in the majority (5/7) of the metal-rich ([Fe/H]$\gtrsim - 1.0$) sample stars, which is at odds with actual observations of SG stars in Galactic CGs of similar metallicities. This chemical pattern is unique and unprecedented among MW stars, posing urgent questions about its origin. These atypical stars could be former SG stars of dissolved GCs formed with intrinsically lower abundances of Mg and enriched Al (subsequently self-polluted by massive AGB stars) or the result of exotic binary systems. We speculate that the stars Mg-deficiency as well as the orbital properties suggest that they could have an extragalactic origin. In search of novel, improved materials for magnetic data storage and spintronic devices, compounds that allow a tailoring of magnetic domain shapes and sizes are essential. Good candidates are materials with intrinsic anisotropies or competing interactions, as they are prone to host various domain phases that can be easily and precisely selected by external tuning parameters such as temperature and magnetic field. Here, we utilize vector magnetic fields to visualize directly the magnetic anisotropy in the uniaxial ferromagnet CeRu$_2$Ga$_2$B. We demonstrate a feasible control both globally and locally of domain shapes and sizes by the external field as well as a smooth transition from single stripe to bubble domains, which opens the door to future applications based on magnetic domain tailoring.

The dark matter spike induced by the adiabatic growth of a massive black hole in a cuspy environment, may explain the thermal dark matter density required to fit the cut-off in the HESSJ1745-290 gamma-ray spectra as TeV dark matter signal with a background component. The fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) began observations in July 2014. It pursues three core programs: APOGEE-2, MaNGA, and eBOSS. In addition, eBOSS contains two major subprograms: TDSS and SPIDERS. This paper describes the first data release from SDSS-IV, Data Release 13 (DR13), which contains new data, reanalysis of existing data sets and, like all SDSS data releases, is inclusive of previously released data. DR13 makes publicly available 1390 spatially resolved integral field unit observations of nearby galaxies from MaNGA, the first data released from this survey. It includes new observations from eBOSS, completing SEQUELS. In addition to targeting galaxies and quasars, SEQUELS also targeted variability-selected objects from TDSS and X-ray selected objects from SPIDERS. DR13 includes new reductions of the SDSS-III BOSS data, improving the spectrophotometric calibration and redshift classification. DR13 releases new reductions of the APOGEE-1 data from SDSS-III, with abundances of elements not previously included and improved stellar parameters for dwarf stars and cooler stars. For the SDSS imaging data, DR13 provides new, more robust and precise photometric calibrations. Several value-added catalogs are being released in tandem with DR13, in particular target catalogs relevant for eBOSS, TDSS, and SPIDERS, and an updated red-clump catalog for APOGEE. This paper describes the location and format of the data now publicly available, as well as providing references to the important technical papers that describe the targeting, observing, and data reduction. We analyze the possibility that the HESS gamma-ray source at the Galactic Center could be explained as the secondary flux produced by annihilation of TeV Dark Matter (TeVDM) particles with locally enhanced density, in a region spatially compatible with the HESS observations themselves. We study the inner 100 pc considering (i) the extrapolation of several density profiles from state-of-the-art N-body + Hydrodynamics simulations of Milky Way-like galaxies, (ii) the DM spike induced by the black hole, and (iii) the DM particles scattering off by bulge stars. We show that in some cases the DM spike may provide the enhancement in the flux required to explain the cut-off in the HESS J1745-290 gamma-ray spectra as TeVDM. In other cases, it may helps to describe the spatial tail reported by HESS II at angular scales < 0.54 degrees towards Sgr A., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, 1 table. The most accurate 6D phase-space information from the Radial Velocity Experiment (RAVE) was used to integrate the orbits of 105 stars around the galactic globular cluster 47 Tucanae, to look for close encounters between them in the past, with a minimum distance approach less than the cluster tidal radius. The stars are currently over the distance range 3.0 kpc $<$ d $<$ 5.5 kpc. Using the uncertainties in the current position and velocity vector for both, star and cluster, 105 pairs of star-cluster orbits were generated in a Monte Carlo numerical scheme, integrated over 2 Gyr and considering an axisymmetric and non-axisymmetric Milky-Way-like Galactic potential, respectively. In this scheme, we identified 20 potential cluster members that had close encounters with the globular cluster 47 Tucanae, all of which have a relative velocity distribution (V$_{rel}$) less than 200 km s$^{-1}$ at the minimum distance approach. Among these potential members, 9 had close encounters with the cluster with velocities less than the escape velocity of 47 Tucanae, therefore a scenario of tidal stripping seems likely. These stars have been classified with a 93\% confidence level, leading to the identification of extratidal cluster stars. We report on detection, from observations obtained with the APOGEE spectroscopic survey, of a metal-poor ([Fe/H] $= -1.3$ dex) field giant star with an extreme Mg-Al abundance ratio ([Mg/Fe] $= -0.31$ dex; [Al/Fe] $= 1.49$ dex). Such low Mg/Al ratios are seen only among the second-generation population of globular clusters, and are not present among Galactic disk field stars. The light element abundances of this star, 2M16011638-1201525, suggest that it could have been born in a globular cluster. We explore several origin scenarios, in particular studying the orbit of the star to check the probability of it being kinematically related to known globular clusters. We performed simple orbital integrations assuming the estimated distance of 2M16011638-1201525 and the available six-dimensional phase-space coordinates of 63 globular clusters, looking for close encounters in the past with a minimum distance approach within the tidal radius of each cluster. We found a very low probability that 2M16011638-1201525 was ejected from most globular clusters; however, we note that the best progenitor candidate to host this star is globular cluster $\omega$ Centauri (NGC 5139). Our dynamical investigation demonstrates that 2M16011638-1201525 reaches a distance $|Z_{max}| < 3 $ kpc from the Galactic plane and a minimum and maximum approach to the Galactic center of $R_{min}<0.62$ kpc and $R_{max}<7.26$ kpc in an eccentric ($e\sim0.53$) and retrograde orbit. Since the extreme chemical anomaly of 2M16011638-1201525 has also been observed in halo field stars, this object could also be considered a halo contaminant, likely been ejected into the Milky Way disk from the halo. Using six-dimesional phase-space information from the Fourth Data release of the Radial Velocity Experiment (RAVE) over the range of Galactic longitude 240$^{\circ}< l <$ 360$^{\circ}$ and $V_{LSR} < -239$ kms$^{-1}$, we have computed orbits for 329 RAVE stars that were originally selected as chemically and kinematically related to $\omega$ Centauri. The orbits were integrated in a Milky-Way-like axisymmetric Galactic potential, ignoring the effects of the dynamical evolution of $\omega$ Centauri due to the tidal effects of the Galaxy disk on the cluster along time. We also ignored secular changes in the Milky Way potential over time. In a Monte Carlo scheme, and under the assumption that the stars may have been ejected with velocities greater than the escape velocity ($V_{rel}>V_{esc,0}$) from the cluster, we identified 15 stars as having close encounters with $\omega$ Centauri: (\textit{i}) 8 stars with relative velocities $V_{rel}< 200 $ kms$^{-1}$ may have been ejected $\sim$ 200 Myr ago from $\omega$ Centauri; (\textit{ii}) other group of 7 stars were identified with high relative velocity $V_{rel}> 200 $ kms$^{-1}$ during close encounters, and seems unlikely that they have been ejected from $\omega$ Centauri. We report the magnetic field -- temperature ($H-T$) phase diagram of Ca$_{10}$(Pt$_4$As$_8$)[(Fe$_{1-x}$Pt$_x$)$_2$As$_2$]$_5$ ($x\approx 0.05$) single crystals, which consists of normal, vortex liquid, plastic creep and elastic creep phases. The upper critical field anisotropy is determined by a radio frequency technique via the measurements of magnetic penetration depth, $\lambda$. Both, irreversibility line, $H_{irr}(T)$, and flux creep line, $H^{SPM}(T)$, are obtained by measuring the magnetization. We find that $H_{irr}(T)$ is well described by the Lindemann criterion with parameters similar to those for cuprates, while small $H^{SPM}(T)$ results in a wide plastic creep regime. The flux creep rates in the elastic creep regime are in qualitative agreement with the collective creep theory for random point defects. A gradual crossover from a single vortex to a bundles regime is observed. Moreover, we obtain $\lambda(4~ \text K) = 260(26)$ nm through the direct measurement of the London penetration depth by magnetic force microscopy.

We present a survey for RR Lyrae stars in an area of 50 deg$^2$ around the globular cluster $\omega$ Centauri, aimed to detect debris material from the alleged progenitor galaxy of the cluster. We detected 48 RR Lyrae stars of which only 11 have been previously reported. Ten among the eleven previously known stars were found inside the tidal radius of the cluster. The rest were located outside the tidal radius up to distances of $\sim 6$ degrees from the center of the cluster. Several of those stars are located at distances similar to that of $\omega$ Centauri. We investigated the probability that those stars may have been stripped off the cluster by studying their properties (mean periods), calculating the expected halo/thick disk population of RR Lyrae stars in this part of the sky, analyzing the radial velocity of a sub-sample of the RR Lyrae stars, and finally, studying the probable orbits of this sub-sample around the Galaxy. None of these investigations support the scenario that there is significant tidal debris around $\omega$ Centauri, confirming previous studies in the region. We present the result of an extensive search for non-axisymmetric structures in the dwarf satellite galaxy of M81: NGC 2976, using multiwavelength archival observations. The galaxy is known to present kinematic evidence for a bysimmetric distortion, anyhow the stellar bar presence is controversial, due to the possible interpretation of NGC 2976 presenting an elliptical disk triggered by a prolate dark matter halo. We applied diagnostics in order to detect stellar bars or spiral arms. The m=2 fourier phase has a jump around 60 arcsecs consistent with a central bar and bisymmetric arms. The CO, 3.6 $\mu$ surface brightness and the dust lanes are consistent with a gas rich central bar and possibly with gaseous spiral arms. The kinematic jumps related with the dust lanes suggest that the bar perturbation in the disk kinematics is non-negligible and the reported non-circular motions, the central gas excess and the nuclear X-ray source (AGN/Starburst) might be produced by the central bar. SPH simulations of disks inside triaxial dark halos suggest that the two symmetric spots at 130 arcsecs and the narrow arms may be produced by gas at turning points in an elliptical disk, alternatively the potential ellipticity can be originated by tidally induced strong stellar bar/arms. We conclude that, the gas rich bar and spiral arms triggered by tidal stirring, and primordial halo triaxiality, can explain most of the non-circular motions, mass redistribution and nuclear activity. Distinguishing between them requires detailed modeling of environmental effects. An analysis similar to this may reveal such kind of structures in other nearby dwarf satellite galaxies, and if confirmed, the same evolutionary scenario will be applicable to them. We present high-resolution N-body/hydrodynamics simulations of dwarf galaxies formed in isolated CDM halos with the same virial mass, Mv~2.5x10^10 Msun at z=0, in order to (1) study the mass assembly histories (MAHs) of the halo, stars, and gas components, and (2) explore the effects of the halo MAHs on the stellar/baryonic assembly of the simulated dwarfs and on their z~0 properties. Overall, the simulated dwarfs are roughly consistent with observations. Our main results are: a) The stellar-to-halo mass ratio is ~0.01 and remains roughly constant since z~1 (the stellar MAHs follow closely the halo MAHs), with a smaller value at higher z's for those halos that assemble their mass later. b) The evolution of the galaxy gas fraction, fg, is episodic and higher, most of the time, than the stellar fraction. When fg decreases (increases), the gas fraction in the halo typically increases (decreases), showing that the SN driven outflows play an important role in regulating the gas fractions -and hence the SFR- of the dwarfs. However, in most cases, an important fraction of the gas escapes the virial radius, Rv; at z=4 the total baryon fraction inside Rv is 1.5-2 times smaller than the universal one, while at z=0 is 2-6 times smaller, with the earlier assembled halos ejecting more gas. c) The SF histories are episodic with changes in the SFRs of factors 2-10 on average. d) Although the dwarfs formed in late assembled halos show more extended SF histories, their z~0 SFRs are still below the ones measured for local isolated dwarfs. e) The effects of baryons on Mv are such that at almost any time Mv is 10-20% smaller than the corresponding Mv obtained in pure N-body simulations. Our results suggest that rather than increasing the strength of the SN-driven outflows, processes that reduce the SF efficiency even more will help to solve the potential issues faced by the CDM-based simulations of dwarfs., Comment: 14 pages, 12 figures. We present a set of hydrodynamical/Nbody controlled simulations of isolated gas rich galaxies that self-consistently include SN feedback and a detailed chemical evolution model, both tested in cosmological simulations. The initial conditions are motivated by the observed star forming galaxies at z ~ 2-3. We find that the presence of a multiphase interstellar media in our models promotes the growth of disc instability favouring the formation of clumps which in general, are not easily disrupted on timescales compared to the migration time. We show that stellar clumps migrate towards the central region and contribute to form a classical-like bulge with a Sersic index, n > 2. Our physically-motivated Supernova feedback has a mild influence on clump survival and evolution, partially limiting the mass growth of clumps as the energy released per Supernova event is increased, with the consequent flattening of the bulge profile. This regulation does not prevent the building of a classical-like bulge even for the most energetic feedback tested. Our Supernova feedback model is able to establish a self-regulated star formation, producing mass-loaded outflows and stellar age spreads comparable to observations. We find that the bulge formation by clumps may coexit with other channels of bulge assembly such as bar and mergers. The in-field critical current of commercial YBa2Cu3O7 coated conductors can be substantially enhanced by post-fabrication irradiation with 4 MeV protons. Irradiation to a fluence of 8x10^16 p/cm^2 induces a near doubling of the critical current in fields of 6 T || c at a temperature of 27 K, a field and temperature range of interest for applications such as rotating machinery. A mixed pinning landscape of preexisting precipitates and twin boundaries and small, finely dispersed irradiation induced defects may account for the improved vortex pinning in high magnetic fields. The upper critical field $H_{c2}$ of optimally doped iron-based superconductor SrFe$_{2}$(As$_{1-x}$P$_{x}$)$_{2}$ ($x$ = 0.35, $T_c$ = 25 K) was measured as a function of temperature down to 1.6 K for two principal directions of magnetic field $H \parallel c$ and $H \parallel a$. Measurements were performed in pulsed magnetic fields up to 65 T using a tunnel-diode resonator technique on as-grown and heavy-ion irradiated single crystals, with columnar defect density corresponding to a matching field $B\phi$ = 25 T. The $H_{c2,c}(T)$ is close to $T$-linear, while clear saturation is observed for $H_{c2,a}(T)$, leading to a strongly temperature dependent anisotropy parameter $\gamma$. The linear shape of $H_{c2,c}(T)$ is very similar to that observed in nodal KFe$_2$As$_2$ but very different from full-gap LiFeAs. Irradiation does not introduce any additional features on $H_{c2}(T)$ line corresponding to the matching field. Instead, it suppresses uniformly both $T_c$ and $H_{c2}$, keeping their ratio constant.

A current of electrons traversing a landscape of localized spins possessing non-coplanar magnetic order gains a geometrical (Berry) phase which can lead to a Hall voltage independent of the spin-orbit coupling within the material--a geometrical Hall effect. We show that the highly-correlated metal UCu5 possesses an unusually large controllable geometrical Hall effect at T<1.2K due to its frustration-induced magnetic order. The magnitude of the Hall response exceeds 20% of the \nu=1 quantum Hall effect per atomic layer, which translates into an effective magnetic field of several hundred Tesla acting on the electrons. The existence of such a large geometric Hall response in UCu5 opens a new field of inquiry into the importance of the role of frustration in highly-correlated electron materials., Comment: article and supplemental information

We study the spiral arm influence on the solar neighbourhood stellar kinematics. As the nature of the Milky Way (MW) spiral arms is not completely determined, we study two models: the Tight-Winding Approximation (TWA) model, which represents a local approximation, and a model with self-consistent material arms named PERLAS. This is a mass distribution with more abrupt gravitational forces. We perform test particle simulations after tuning the two models to the observational range for the MW spiral arm properties. We explore the effects of the arm properties and find that a significant region of the allowed parameter space favours the appearance of kinematic groups. The velocity distribution is mostly sensitive to the relative spiral arm phase and pattern speed. In all cases the arms induce strong kinematic imprints for pattern speeds around 17 km/s/kpc (close to the 4:1 inner resonance) but no substructure is induced close to corotation. The groups change significantly if one moves only ~0.6 kpc in galactocentric radius, but ~2 kpc in azimuth. The appearance time of each group is different, ranging from 0 to more than 1 Gyr. Recent spiral arms can produce strong kinematic structures. The stellar response to the two potential models is significantly different near the Sun, both in density and kinematics. The PERLAS model triggers more substructure for a larger range of pattern speed values. The kinematic groups can be used to reduce the current uncertainty about the MW spiral structure and to test whether this follows the TWA. However, groups such as the observed ones in the solar vicinity can be reproduced by different parameter combinations. NGC3367 is a nearby isolated active galaxy that shows a radio jet, a strong bar and evidence of lopsidedness. We present a quantitative analysis of the stellar and gaseous structure of the galaxy disk and a search for evidence of recent interaction based on new UBVRI Halpha and JHK images and on archival Halpha Fabry-Perot and HI VLA data. From a coupled 1D/2D GALFIT bulge/bar/disk decomposition an (B/D ~ 0.07-0.1) exponential pseudobulge is inferred in all the observed bands. A NIR estimate of the bar strength = 0.44 places NGC 3367 bar among the strongest ones. The asymmetry properties were studied using (1) optical and NIR CAS indexes (2) the stellar (NIR) and gaseous (Halpha, HI) A_1 Fourier mode amplitudes and (3) the HI integrated profile and HI mean intensity distribution. While the average stellar component shows asymmetry values close to the average found in the Local Universe for isolated galaxies, the young stellar component and gas values are largely decoupled showing significantly larger A_1 mode amplitudes suggesting that the gas has been recently perturbed. Our search for (1) faint stellar structures in the outer regions (up to u_R ~ 26 mag arcsec^{-2}), (2) (Halpha) star-forming satellite galaxies and (3) regions with different colors (stellar populations) along the disk all failed. Such an absence is interpreted using recent numerical simulations to constrain a tidal event with an LMC like galaxy to some dynamical times in the past or to a current very low mass, gas rich accretion. We conclude that a cold accretion mode (gas and small/dark galaxies) may be responsible of the nuclear activity and peculiar (young stars and gas) morphology regardless of the highly isolated environment. (Abridged) By means of high-resolution cosmological simulations in the context of the LCDM scenario, the specific star formation rate (SSFR=SFR/Ms, Ms is the stellar mass)--Ms and stellar mass fraction (Fs=Ms/Mh, Mh is the halo mass)--Ms relations of low-mass galaxies (2.5< Mh/10^10 Msun <50 at redshift z=0) at different epochs are predicted. The Hydrodynamics ART code was used and some variations of the sub-grid parameters were explored. Most of simulated galaxies, specially those with the highest resolutions, have significant disk components and their structural and dynamical properties are in reasonable agreement with observations of sub-M* field galaxies. However, the SSFRs are 5-10 times smaller than the averages of several (compiled and homogenized here) observational determinations for field blue/star-forming galaxies at z<0.3 (at low masses, most of observed field galaxies are actually blue/star-forming). This inconsistency seems to remain even at z~1.5 though less drastic. The Fs of simulated galaxies increases with Mh as semi-empirical inferences show, but in absolute values the former are ~5-10 times larger than the latter at z=0; this difference increases probably to larger factors at z~1-1.5. Single crystals of the spin dimer system Sr3Cr2O8 have been grown for the first time. Magnetization, heat capacity, and magnetocaloric effect data up to 65 T reveal magnetic order between applied fields of Hc1 ~ 30.4 T and Hc2 ~ 62 T. This field-induced order persists up to ~ 8 K at H ~ 44 T, the highest observed in any quantum magnet where Hc2 is experimentally-accessible. We fit the temperature-field phase diagram boundary close to Hc1 using the expression Tc = A(H-Hc1)^v. The exponent v = 0.65(2), obtained at temperatures much smaller than 8 K, is that of the 3D Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) universality class. This finding strongly suggests that Sr3Cr2O8 is a new realization of a triplon BEC where the universal regimes corresponding to both Hc1 and Hc2 are accessible at He-4 temperatures., Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, accepted by PRL

We study the phase space available to the local stellar distribution using a Galactic potential consistent with several recent observational constraints. We find that the induced phase space structure has several observable consequences. The spiral arm contribution to the kinematic structure in the solar neighborhood may be as important as the one produced by the Galactic bar. We suggest that some of the stellar kinematic groups in the solar neighborhood, like the Hercules structure and the kinematic branches, can be created by the dynamical resonances of self-gravitating spiral arms and not exclusively by the Galactic bar. A structure coincident with the Arcturus kinematic group is developed when a hot stellar disk population is considered, which introduces a new perspective on the interpretation of its extragalactic origin. A bar-related resonant mechanism can modify this kinematic structure.We show that particles in the dark matter disk-like structure predicted by recent LCDM galaxy formation experiments, with similar kinematics to the thick disk, are affected by the same resonances, developing phase space structures or dark kinematic groups that are independent of the Galaxy assembly history and substructure abundance. We study dynamics of bars in models of disk galaxies embeded in realistic dark matter halos. We find that disk thickness plays an important, if not dominant, role in the evolution and structure of the bars. We also make extensive numerical tests of different N-body codes used to study bar dynamics. Models with thick disks typically used in this type of modeling (height-to-length ratio hz/Rd=0.2) produce slowly rotating, and very long, bars. In contrast, more realistic thin disks with the same parameters as in our Galaxy (hz/Rd= 0.1) produce bars with normal length Rbar approx R_d, which rotate quickly with the ratio of the corotation radius to the bar radius 1.2-1.4 compatible with observations. Bars in these models do not show a tendency to slow down, and may lose as little as 2-3 percent of their angular momentum due to dynamical friction with the dark matter over cosmological time. We attribute the differences between the models to a combined effect of high phase-space density and smaller Jeans mass in the thin disk models, which result in the formation of a dense central bulge. Special attention is paid to numerical effects such as the accuracy of orbital integration, force and mass resolution. Using three N-body codes -- Gadget, ART, and Pkdgrav -- we find that numerical effects are very important and, if not carefully treated, may produce incorrect and misleading results. Once the simulations are performed with sufficiently small time-steps and with adequate force and mass resolution, all the codes produce nearly the same results: we do not find any systematic deviations between the results obtained with TREE codes (Gadget and Pkdgrav) and with the Adaptive-Mesh-Refinement (ART) code., Comment: 15 pages, 14 plots, submitted to MNRAS

We report a series of high-resolution cosmological N-body simulations designed to explore the formation and properties of dark matter halos with masses close to the damping scale of the primordial power spectrum of density fluctuations. We further investigate the effect that the addition of a random component, v_rms, into the particle velocity field has on the structure of halos. We adopted as a fiducial model the Lambda Warm Dark Matter cosmology with a non-thermal sterile neutrino mass of 0.5 keV. The filtering mass corresponds then to M_f = 2.6x10^12 M_sun/h. Halos of masses close to M_f were simulated with several million of particles. The results show that, on one hand, the inner density slope of these halos (at radii <~0.02 the virial radius Rvir) is systematically steeper than the one corresponding to the NFW fit or to the CDM counterpart. On the other hand, the overall density profile (radii larger than 0.02Rvir) is less curved and less concentrated than the NFW fit, with an outer slope shallower than -3. For simulations with v_rms, the inner halo density profiles flatten significantly at radii smaller than 2-3 kpc/h (<~0.010-0.015Rvir). A constant density core is not detected in our simulations, with the exception of one halo for which the flat core radius is ~1 kpc/h. Nevertheless, if ``cored'' density profiles are used to fit the halo profiles, the inferred core radii are ~0.1-0.8 kpc/h, in rough agreement with theoretical predictions based on phase-space constrains, and on dynamical models of warm gravitational collapse. A reduction of v_rms by a factor of 3 produces a modest decrease in core radii, less than a factor of 1.5. We used fully cosmological, high resolution N-body + SPH simulations to follow the formation of disk galaxies with rotational velocities between 135 and 270 km/sec in a Lambda CDM universe. The simulations include gas cooling, star formation, the effects of a uniform UV background and a physically motivated description of feedback from supernovae. The host dark matter halos have a spin and last major merger redshift typical of galaxy sized halos as measured in recent large scale N--Body simulations. The simulated galaxies form rotationally supported disks with realistic exponential scale lengths and fall on both the I-band and baryonic Tully Fisher relations. An extended stellar disk forms inside the Milky Way sized halo immediately after the last major merger. The combination of UV background and SN feedback drastically reduces the number of visible satellites orbiting inside a Milky Way sized halo, bringing it in fair agreement with observations. Our simulations predict that the average age of a primary galaxy's stellar population decreases with mass, because feedback delays star formation in less massive galaxies. Galaxies have stellar masses and current star formation rates as a function of total mass that are in good agreement with observational data. The central part of a dark matter halo reacts to the presence and evolution of a bar. Not only does the halo absorb angular momentum from the disk, it can also be compressed and have its shape modified. We study these issues in a series of cosmologically motivated, highly resolved N-body simulations of barred galaxies run under different initial conditions. In all models we find that the inner halo's central density increases. We model this density increase using the standard adiabatic approximation and the modified formula by Gnedin et al. and find that halo mass profiles are better reproduced by this latter. In models with a strong bar, the dark matter in the central region forms a bar-like structure (``dark matter bar''), which rotates together with the normal bar formed by the stellar component (``stellar bar''). The minor-to-major axial ratio of a halo bar changes with radius with a typical value 0.7 in the central disk region. DM bar amplitude is mostly a function of the stellar bar strength. Models in which the bar amplitude increases or stays roughly constant with time, initially large (40%-60%) misalignment between the halo and disk bars quickly decreases with time as the bar grows. The halo bar is nearly aligned with the stellar bar (~10 degrees lag for the halo) after ~2 Gyr.
