Il volume espone il processo e risultati di ricerca relativi valutazione di impatto dell'esperienza del laboratorio teatrale condotto dall'Associazione Puntozero all'interno dell'istituto Penale Minorile "C. Beccaria" di Milano, realizzata grazie alla collaborazione dell'Associazione Puntozero e al sostegno della Fondazione Alta Mane Italia. La ricerca, di approccio prevalentemente qualitativo, si inquadra nell'ambito della Pedagogia della Marginalità e della Devianza, della Pedagogia dell'Adolescenza e della Pedagogia dell'Inclusione sociale. I risultati di ricerca analizzano l'impatto che l'esperienza del laboratorio teatrale avuto sugli adolescenti detenuti, sull'istituto penale minorile e sul territorio., The book presents the process and results of research on the impact of the experience of the theater laboratory within the "C. Beccaria" Juvenile Penal Institute in Milan. The impact assessment was delivered in collaboration with the Puntozero Association and thanks to the support of the Alta Mane Italia Foundation. The research, with a predominantly qualitative approach, is part of the Pedagogy of Marginality and Deviance, of the Pedagogy of Adolescence, and the Pedagogy of Social Inclusion. Its results analyze the impact of the experience of the theater workshop on adolescents in prison, the juvenile penal institution, and on the territory.

Purpose: To test reliability and reproducibility of ESASO morphologic OCT-based classification of diabetic maculopathy (DM). Methods: This is a multi-center cross-sectional study including a coordination center (CC) and 18 participating centers (PCs). After instruction on the correct use of ESASO Classification, the validation process was carried out in two consecutive stages. In the first retrospective phase, we evaluated the concordance between PCs and CC in the staging of OCT images collected during PCs’ daily activity (608 images). In a second prospective phase, we analyzed the inter-observer agreement of staging assigned by each PCs to OCT images selected by the CC (22 images). Results: The overall concordance achieved in the retrospective phase was 89.8% (Kappa = 0.83 (95% CI: 0.78–0.87); p<0.0001). In 99.5% of cases, concordance did not differ by more than one stage. In the prospective phase, PCs reached an inter-operator agreement of 93.0% (Krippendorff's Alpha = 0.953, 95% CI: 0.929–0.977, p<0.0001). Any discrepancy among the 22 images was within one stage. Conclusion: The results achieved in this study confirm that ESASO OCT-based Classification can be considered as an easy and reproducible method to stage DM during clinical practice. A diffused use of a common and validated method to describe the progression of retinal damage in DM may offer several clinical and scientific advantages.

This article presents two key findings from a case study on the impact of a theatre laboratory programme implemented at ‘C. Beccaria’ youth detention centre in Milan. First, the opening of a permanent theatre inside the prison, with the involvement of the broader community, has helped fulfil detained minors’ rights to culture and rehabilitation, as well as remodel the relationship between prison and society. Second, the institution’s reaction to the theatre laboratory has been ambivalent. The article critically examines this tension, exploring the conditions required to rethink and transform the institutional, rehabilitative, and cultural framework of the youth detention centre.

Excess intake of energy, sugars, salt and saturated fats is an important causal factor of obesity and related non-communicable diseases. In order to help consumers to make healthy food choices, many European countries have developed proposals for “front-of-pack” food labeling, intended as an integration to the nutritional information provided by the mandatory nutritional declaration. Based on the European strategic program “Farm to Fork”, the intention is to achieve a harmonized front-of-pack label proposal by Q4 2022.Among the different proposals, the one which received most attention by experts and greater feedback by the EU member countries is the Nutri-Score, a tool based on an algorithm whereby a “quality” category ranging from A to E is assigned to each single food on a background colored from dark green to dark orange. As an alternative to Nutri-Score, the NutrInform Battery has been developed by Italy in association with a few other EU member states: this proposal is objectively alternative to the Nutri-Score proposal due to a different underlying philosophy, in particular for its informative and educational intent rather than purchase orientation.The present document, prepared by the Scientific Board and reviewed by the Scientific Council of the Italian Society of Human Nutrition, represents the scientific-based position of the Society in relation to the general theme of front-of-pack labeling and in particular to the dualism created between the Nutri-Score and NutrInform Battery proposals.

Quali effetti produce "lo spazio"? Il contributo, a partire dalle riflessioni di Michel Foucault, esplora il confine, la clausura e - in generale - la gestione delle differenze. In questo senso si analizzano tre figure dell'organizzazione: esilio, esclusione e sicurezza, e, come suggerito da Jacques Derrida, la logica paradossale dell'ospitalità. Infine, affrontato brevemente il tema delle regole (normazione o normalizzazione?) si conclude definendo un falso dilemma l'opposizione tra il gesto che esclude e quello che include in pedagogia.

La violenza è agita, subita, ma soprattutto raccontata in modi diversi. Narrazioni di epopee e di tragedie belliche rappresentano campi di battaglia e corpi di nemici che si scontrano fino all’ultimo, di vittime che soccombono e di carnefici che l’hanno vinta. Immaginari sociali ripresentano nel corso dei secoli scenari di violenza politica, simboleggiandola dalla parte dei vincitori e manifestandola contro i perdenti. Tuttavia, se la politica e la conquista del potere pubblico sono tradizionalmente associate a orizzonti bellici, fino ad anni recenti, la sfera del dominio privato non è stata immediatamente associata nella raffigurazione pubblica, alla perpetrazione e alla perpetuazione della violenza agita in spazi di contiguità. A partire da tali premesse, nel presente contributo intendo proporre alcune riflessioni non tanto su legislazioni, bensì su alcune raffigurazioni “mascherate” della violenza domestica e sessuale, così come appaiono in narrazioni mitologiche e letterarie. La violenza politica ha radici private, che nascono in seno alla famiglia e nei rapporti interpersonali. Il mio intento consiste dunque nel far riflettere sui nessi esistenti tra rappresentazioni letterarie, dati di realtà, violazione di diritti e concettualizzazioni filosofiche che spesso passano inosservati. La filosofia politica, come sapere consolidato attraverso la ricezione e la continuazione di scuole di pensiero, ha rimosso dalla riflessione pubblica fino ad anni recenti la questione della violenza privata – ovvero nascente nei luoghi della convivenza quotidiana –, ponendo piuttosto il proprio interesse sull’analisi della coazione politica agita dallo Stato contro i propri cittadini “disubbidienti” o contro nemici da assoggettare. Viceversa, come ci indicano alcuni miti fondativi di città, che hanno dato inizio a importanti civilizzazioni occidentali, la violenza politica si fonda su un iniziale crimine domestico e sessuale, agito contro donne e bambini.
