Abstract

A Markov chain model for spatially distributed autocatalytic systems with a quadratic reaction rate is considered. An approximate solution for the local probability distribution is obtained in the form of a perturbation expansion for the regimes where diffusion is relatively fast. Using this approximate distribution, properties of the chemical wave fronts found in these autocatalytic systems are studied, and deviations of the minimum propagation velocity and the concentration profile from deterministic predictions are analyzed. Abstract

Spatially-distributed, nonequilibrium chemical systems described by a Markov chain model are considered. The evolution of such systems arises from a combination of local birth-death reactive events and random walks executed by the particles on a lattice. The parameter \gamma, the ratio of characteristic time scales of reaction and diffusion, is used to gauge the relative contributions of these two processes to the overall dynamics. For the case of relatively fast diffusion, i.e. \gamma << 1, an approximate solution to the Markov chain in the form of a perturbation expansion in powers of \gamma is derived. Kinetic equations for the average concentrations differ from the mass-action law and contain memory terms. For a reaction- diffusion system with Willamowski-Rossler reaction mechanism, we further derive the following two results: a) in the limit of \gamma --> 0 these memory terms vanish and the mass-action law is recovered; b) the memory kernel is found to assume a simple exponential form. Abstract

The topicality of the research is substantiated by the transformations in higher education, leading to changes in professional activity of teachers, working in the conditions of constantly updating educational environment and the lack of modern textbooks satisfying the educational needs of students, postgraduate students and university teaching staff members. The purpose of the article is to reveal the criteria for development and the requirements for the textbooks intended for students of universities and for university instructors in the process of continuing professional education, as well as to propose new approaches to involving students in active use of textbooks. The leading approach to the analysis of the stated problem was the competence-activity approach. The tendency of changing students' views on the "ideal" textbook at the under-and post-graduate level is revealed. A promising technique of students ' work with textbooks, additional to the traditional types of work, is described. The methodology of the organization of learners' activities with a textbook in the unity of specific professional and humanitarian contexts, as well as the rationale for designing the content of a textbook at the levels of subject knowledge and experience mastering are presented. The examples of publications based on different approaches are given - an electronic textbook with a fundamental representation of educational technologies and a textbook developed on the basis of the idea of a class designer. Abstract

The article compares the historical material and the data of modern sociological surveys through historical and genetic methods. Its result was the conclusion that the socio-psychological basis of the modern Russian political process is such features as patience, the reverse side of which can be various social conflicts by form and strength; such features of a Russian man state consciousness as the weave of state and anarchic principles. As a conclusion, the article shows the need to grow the basic features of truly Russian consciousness, relying on the common in the mental development of mankind.

Abstract

The average monthly temperature of the lower troposphere (TLT) retrieved from satellite sensing data for 1979–2017 in the Southern Urals is analyzed. The method of decomposition of the temperature series into empirical orthogonal components (EOCs) was used to study the spatiotemporal TLT structure. Correlation analysis of the identified EOCs for winter and summer seasons and the indices of large-scale modes of natural climatic variability in the Northern Hemisphere is carried out. The first leading EOC, which characterizes a negative temperature trend, produces the main contribution to the overall variability. In winter, the leading mode is associated with the North Atlantic oscillation. In summer, a significant contribution of the Atlantic multidecadal oscillation and the index of the Arctic sea ice concentration anomalies was revealed. This may be used to improve the reliability of forecasting the regional climate change in the coming decades. The results suggest that the natural climatic variability has a considerable effect on the temperature regime and that it might be difficult to isolate the anthropogenic component of climate change in the studied region.
