Abstract: Abstract This paper presents the energy dependence of multiplicity and net-electric charge fluctuations in p+p interactions at beam momenta 20, 31, 40, 80, and 158 $$\text{ Ge }\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text{ V }\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c . Results are corrected for the experimental biases and quantified with the use of cumulants and factorial cumulants. Cumulant ratios are an essential tool in the search for the critical point of strongly interacting matter in heavy ion collisions. Measurements performed in p+p interactions provide a vital baseline estimation in these studies. The measured signals are compared with the string hadronic models Epos1.99 and FTFP-BERT.

Abstract: Abstract The yields of $$K^0_S$$ K S 0 mesons have been measured in inelastic p+p interactions at incident projectile momenta of 31, 40 and 80 $$\text {Ge}\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text {V}\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c ( $$\sqrt{s_{NN}}=7.7, 8.8$$ s NN = 7.7 , 8.8 and 12.3 $$\text {Ge}\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text {V}$$ Ge V , respectively). The data were recorded by the NA61 $$/$$ / SHINE spectrometer at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron and the $$K^0_S$$ K S 0 mesons identified via their decays into $$\pi ^{+} \pi ^{-}$$ π + π - pairs. Double-differential distributions are presented as function of transverse momentum and rapidity. The mean multiplicities of $$K^0_S$$ K S 0 mesons were determined to be $$(5.95 \pm 0.19 (stat) \pm 0.30 (sys)) \times 10^{-2}$$ ( 5.95 ± 0.19 ( s t a t ) ± 0.30 ( s y s ) ) × 10 - 2 at 31 $$\text {Ge}\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text {V}\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c , $$(7.61 \pm 0.13 (stat) \pm 0.43 (sys)) \times 10^{-2}$$ ( 7.61 ± 0.13 ( s t a t ) ± 0.43 ( s y s ) ) × 10 - 2 at 40 $$\text {Ge}\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text {V}\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c and $$(11.58 \pm 0.12 (stat) \pm 0.55 (sys)) \times 10^{-2}$$ ( 11.58 ± 0.12 ( s t a t ) ± 0.55 ( s y s ) ) × 10 - 2 at 80 $$\text {Ge}\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text {V}\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c . The results on $$K^{0}_{S}$$ K S 0 production are compared with the production of charged kaons in corresponding reactions and with model calculations (Epos1.99, SMASH 2.0 and PHSD) as well as with published data from other experiments.

Abstract: Abstract The critical point of strongly interacting matter is searched for at the CERN SPS by the NA61/SHINE experiment in central $$^{40}$$ 40 Ar + $$^{45}$$ 45 Sc collisions at 13 A, 19 A, 30 A, 40 A, and 75 A GeV/c. The dependence of the second-order scaled factorial moments of proton multiplicity distributions on the number of subdivisions in transverse momentum space is measured. The intermittency analysis uses statistically independent data sets for every subdivision in transverse and cumulative-transverse momentum variables. The results obtained do not indicate the searched intermittent pattern. An upper limit on the fraction of correlated protons and the intermittency index is obtained based on a comparison with the Power-law Model.

Abstract: Abstract The NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron studies the onset of deconfinement in strongly interacting matter through a beam energy scan of particle production in collisions of nuclei of varied sizes. This paper presents results on inclusive double-differential spectra, transverse momentum and rapidity distributions and mean multiplicities of $$\pi ^\pm $$ π ± , $$K^\pm $$ K ± , p and $$\bar{p}$$ p ¯ produced in $$^{40}\hbox {Ar+}^{45}\hbox {Sc}$$ 40 Ar+ 45 Sc collisions at beam momenta of 13A, 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A and 150A $$\text{ Ge }\hspace{-1.00006pt}\text{ V }\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c . The analysis uses the 10% most central collisions, where the observed forward energy defines centrality. The energy dependence of the $$K^\pm $$ K ± / $$\pi ^\pm $$ π ± ratios as well as of inverse slope parameters of the $$K^\pm $$ K ± transverse mass distributions are placed in between those found in inelastic $$p+p$$ p + p and central Pb + Pb collisions. The results obtained here establish a system-size dependence of hadron production properties that so far cannot be explained either within statistical or dynamical models.

Abstract: Abstract This paper reports measurements of two-pion femtoscopic correlations in Be+Be collisions at a beam momentum of 150 $$A\,\hbox {GeV}\!/\!c$$ A GeV / c (energy available in the center-of-mass system for nucleon pair $$\sqrt{s_{\text {NN}}} = 16.84$$ s NN = 16.84 GeV) by the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS accelerator. The obtained momentum space correlation functions can be well described by a Lévy distributed source model. The transverse mass dependence of the Lévy source parameters is presented, and their possible theoretical interpretations are discussed. The results show that the Lévy exponent $$\alpha $$ α is approximately constant as a function of $$m_{\text {T}}$$ m T , and far from both the Gaussian case of $$\alpha = 2$$ α = 2 or the conjectured value at the critical endpoint, $$\alpha = 0.5$$ α = 0.5 . The radius scale parameter R shows a slight decrease in $$m_{\text {T}}$$ m T , which can be explained as a signature of transverse flow. Finally, an approximately constant trend of the intercept parameter $$\lambda $$ λ as a function of $$m_{\text {T}}$$ m T was observed, similar to previous NA44 S + Pb results (obtained with a Gaussian approximation, but unlike RHIC results).

Abstract: Abstract The critical point of dense, strongly interacting matter is searched for at the CERN SPS in 40Ar + 45Sc collisions at 150A Ge V /c. The dependence of second-order scaled factorial moments of proton multiplicity distribution on the number of subdivisions of transverse momentum space is measured. The intermittency analysis is performed using both transverse momentum and cumulative transverse momentum. For the first time, statistically independent data sets are used for each subdivision number. The obtained results do not indicate any statistically significant intermittency pattern. An upper limit on the fraction of correlated proton pairs and the power of the correlation function is obtained based on a comparison with the Power-law Model developed for this purpose.

7. Cryptic Speciation and Characteristics of the Transition Bias Following an Example of the cytb Gene in Palearctic Mammals

Abstract: A study of taxonomic differentiation and transition bias of the cytb gene, focusing on the early stages of speciation, was carried out in 15 subfamilies/families of five orders of Palearctic mammals. It was confirmed that the genetic differentiation among taxa of small and large mammals is shifted by the same taxonomic level, in which connection the period of cryptic speciation of Micromammalia (semi- and allospecific levels) corresponds to the divergence of type species in their genus within Macromammalia. In all cases, both transition bias and its evolutionary compensation took place. The novelty of the study also lies in the proof that the alignment of the transitions and transversion rates in evolutionary lineages has the pattern of a phase transition, and the frequency of transversions in short-cycle species of the orders Insectivora and Rodentia is higher than in long-cycle orders Artiodactyla, Carnivora and Chiroptera while with relative equality of transitions. The latter circumstance might be associated with the traits of metabolism and determines the characteristics of the molecular evolution of mammalian groups with short and long life cycles.

Abstract: Abstract Measurements of $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K ∗ ( 892 ) 0 resonance production via its $$K^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ K + π - decay mode in inelastic p+p collisions at beam momenta 40 and 80 $$\text{ GeV }\!/\!c$$ GeV / c ( $$\sqrt{s_{NN}}=8.8$$ s NN = 8.8 and 12.3 $$\text{ GeV }$$ GeV ) are presented. The data were recorded by the NA61/SHINE hadron spectrometer at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron. The template method was used to extract the $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K ∗ ( 892 ) 0 signal. Transverse momentum and rapidity spectra were obtained. The mean multiplicities of $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K ∗ ( 892 ) 0 mesons were found to be $$(35.1 \pm 1.3 \mathrm {(stat)} \pm 3.6 \mathrm {(sys))} \cdot 10^{-3}$$ ( 35.1 ± 1.3 ( stat ) ± 3.6 ( sys ) ) · 10 - 3 at 40 $$\text{ GeV }\!/\!c$$ GeV / c and $$(58.3 \pm 1.9 \mathrm {(stat)} \pm 4.9 \mathrm {(sys))} \cdot 10^{-3}$$ ( 58.3 ± 1.9 ( stat ) ± 4.9 ( sys ) ) · 10 - 3 at 80 $$\text{ GeV }\!/\!c$$ GeV / c . The NA61/SHINE results are compared with the Epos1.99 and Hadron Resonance Gas models as well as with world data. The transverse mass spectra of $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K ∗ ( 892 ) 0 mesons and other particles previously reported by NA61/SHINE were fitted within the Blast-Wave model. The transverse flow velocities are close to 0.1–0.2 of the speed of light and are significantly smaller than the ones determined in heavy nucleus-nucleus interactions at the same beam momenta.

Abstract: Abstract The production of $$K^{0}_{S}$$ K S 0 mesons in inelastic p+p collisions at beam momentum 158 $$\text{ GeV }/c$$ GeV / c ( $$\sqrt{s_{NN}}=17.3$$ s NN = 17.3 $$\text{ GeV }$$ GeV ) was measured with the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron. Double-differential distributions were obtained in transverse momentum and rapidity. The mean multiplicity of $$K^{0}_{S}$$ K S 0 was determined to be $$0.162 \pm 0.001 (stat.) \pm 0.011 (sys.)$$ 0.162 ± 0.001 ( s t a t . ) ± 0.011 ( s y s . ) . The results on $$K^{0}_{S}$$ K S 0 production are compared with model predictions (EPOS 1.99, SMASH 2.0, PHSD and UrQMD 3.4 models) as well as with published world data.

Abstract: Characters of taxonomy and evolutionary scenario based on genetic differentiation of generic groups of forest and field mice Apodemus s. l. were established by analyzing the variability of the cyt-b (cytochrome-1, cytb) gene. For this purpose, 124 sequences of Apodemus s. l. and other Palearctic Muridae genera (Mus, Micromys, Rattus) were downloaded from GenBank. The adequacy of the categories of semispecies, allospecies, species, whose genetic differentiation corresponds to GD ranges of 0.03–0.06, 0.06–0.1 and 0.1–0.15, has been proven. Within the genus Sylvaemus the following species are recognised: S. (Sylvaemus) alpicola, S. (S.) arianus (= witherbyi), S. (S.) flavicollis, S. (S.) hyrcanicus, S. (S.) ponticus, S. (S.) (superspecies) sylvaticus, S. (S.) (superspecies) uralensis, S. (Karstomys) epimelas, S. (K.) mystacinus, S. (?) rusiges: within Apodemus: A. agrarius, A. chevrieri, within Alsomys: Al. argenteus, Al. ilex, Al. Latronum, Al. (superspecies) major (= peninsulae), Al. nigrus, Al. semotus, Al. speciosus. Generic taxonomy remains ambiguous, which is caused not only by different scales of differentiation of most species of Western and Eastern Palaearctic lineages, but also by the lack of information on key genus specific characters: the number of roots on upper molars and number of mammary glands for most East Asian species.

Abstract: Abstract Double-differential yields of $${\Xi \left( 1530\right) ^{0}} $$ Ξ 1530 0 and $${\overline{\Xi }\left( 1530\right) ^{0}} $$ Ξ ¯ 1530 0 resonances produced in p+p interactions were measured at a laboratory beam momentum of 158 $$\text{ GeV }\!/\!c$$ GeV / c . This measurement is the first of its kind in p+p interactions below LHC energies. It was performed at the CERN SPS by the NA61/SHINE collaboration. Double-differential distributions in rapidity and transverse momentum were obtained from a sample of $$26\times 10^6$$ 26 × 10 6 inelastic events. The spectra are extrapolated to full phase space resulting in mean multiplicity of $${\Xi \left( 1530\right) ^{0}} $$ Ξ 1530 0 ( $$6.73 \pm 0.25\pm 0.67)\times 10^{-4}$$ 6.73 ± 0.25 ± 0.67 ) × 10 - 4 and $${\overline{\Xi }\left( 1530\right) ^{0}} $$ Ξ ¯ 1530 0 ( $$2.71 \pm 0.18\pm 0.18)\times 10^{-4}$$ 2.71 ± 0.18 ± 0.18 ) × 10 - 4 . The rapidity and transverse momentum spectra and mean multiplicities were compared to predictions of string-hadronic and statistical model calculations.

Abstract: Abstract The physics goal of the strong interaction program of the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) is to study the phase diagram of hadronic matter by a scan of particle production in collisions of nuclei with various sizes at a set of energies covering the SPS energy range. This paper presents differential inclusive spectra of transverse momentum, transverse mass and rapidity of $$\pi ^{-}$$ π - mesons produced in central $${}^{40}$$ 40 Ar+ $${}^{45}$$ 45 Sc collisions at beam momenta of 13A, 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A and 150 $$A\,\text{ Ge }\text{ V }\!/\!\textit{c}$$ A Ge V / c . Energy and system size dependence of parameters of these distributions – mean transverse mass, the inverse slope parameter of transverse mass spectra, width of the rapidity distribution and mean multiplicity – are presented and discussed. Furthermore, the dependence of the ratio of the mean number of produced pions to the mean number of wounded nucleons on the collision energy was derived. The results are compared to predictions of several models.

Abstract: Abstract Measurements of multiplicity fluctuations of identified hadrons produced in inelastic p+p interactions at 31, 40, 80, and 158 $$\text {Ge}\text {V}/c$$ Ge / c beam momentum are presented. Three different measures of multiplicity fluctuations are used: the scaled variance $$\omega $$ ω and strongly intensive measures $$\Sigma $$ Σ and $$\Delta $$ Δ . These fluctuation measures involve second and first moments of joint multiplicity distributions. Data analysis is preformed using the Identity method which corrects for incomplete particle identification. Strongly intensive quantities are calculated in order to allow for a direct comparison to corresponding results on nucleus–nucleus collisions. The results for different hadron types are shown as a function of collision energy. A comparison with predictions of string-resonance Monte-Carlo models: Epos, Smash and Venus, is also presented.

This paper presents results on inclusive double-differential spectra, transverse momentum and rapidity distributions and mean multiplicities of $$\pi ^\pm $$ π ± , $$K^\pm $$ K ± , p and $$\bar{p}$$ p ¯ produced in the 20% most central $$^7$$ 7 Be+ $$^9$$ 9 Be collisions at beam momenta of 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A and 150A $${\mathrm{Ge} \mathrm{V}}\!/\!c$$ Ge V / c . The energy dependence of the $$K^\pm $$ K ± / $$\pi ^\pm $$ π ± ratios as well as of inverse slope parameters of the $$K^\pm $$ K ± transverse mass distributions are close to those found in inelastic p+p reactions. The new results are compared to the world data on p+p and Pb+Pb collisions as well as to predictions of the Epos, Urqmd, Ampt, Phsd and Smash models.

Abstract: Abstract A measurement of charged hadron pair correlations in two-dimensional $$\Delta \eta \Delta \phi $$ Δ η Δ ϕ space is presented. The analysis is based on total 30 million central Be + Be collisions observed in the NA61/SHINE detector at the CERN SPS for incident beam momenta of 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A, and 150A $$\text {Ge} \text {V}/c$$ Ge / c . Measurements were carried out for unlike-sign and like-sign charge hadron pairs independently. The $$C(\Delta \eta ,\Delta \phi )$$ C ( Δ η , Δ ϕ ) correlation functions were compared with results from a similar analysis on p + p interactions at similar beam momenta per nucleon. General trends of the back-to-back correlations are similar in central Be + Be collisions and p + p interactions, but are suppressed in magnitude due to the increased combinatorial background. Predictions from the Epos and UrQMD models are compared to the measurements. Evolution of an enhancement around $$(\Delta \eta ,\Delta \phi ) = (0,0)$$ ( Δ η , Δ ϕ ) = ( 0 , 0 ) with incident energy is observed in central Be + Be collisions. It is not predicted by both models and almost non-existing in proton–proton collisions at the same momentum per nucleon.

The shape of the transverse mass spectra differs from the shapes measured in central Pb + Pb collisions and inelastic p+p interactions. The normalized width of the rapidity distribution decreases with increasing collision energy and is in between the results for inelastic nucleon–nucleon and central Pb + Pb collisions. The mean multiplicity of pions per wounded nucleon in central $$^7$$ 7 Be + $$^9$$ 9 Be collisions is close to that in central Pb + Pb collisions up to 75 $$A\,\text{ GeV }\!/\!c$$ A GeV / c . However, at the top SPS energy the result lies between those for nucleon–nucleon and Pb + Pb interactions. The results are discussed in the context of predictions for the onset of deconfinement at the CERN SPS collision energies.

Abstract: Abstract The production of $$\Xi (1321)^{-}$$ Ξ ( 1321 ) - and $$\overline{\Xi }(1321)^{+}$$ Ξ ¯ ( 1321 ) + hyperons in inelastic p+p interactions is studied in a fixed target experiment at a beam momentum of 158 $$\hbox {Ge}\hbox {V}\!/\!c$$ Ge / c . Double differential distributions in rapidity $${y}$$ y and transverse momentum $$p_{T}$$ p T are obtained from a sample of 33M inelastic events. They allow to extrapolate the spectra to full phase space and to determine the mean multiplicity of both $${\Xi }{^-} $$ Ξ - and $$\overline{\Xi }{^+} $$ Ξ ¯ + . The rapidity and transverse momentum spectra are compared to transport model predictions. The $${\Xi }{^-} $$ Ξ - mean multiplicity in inelastic p+p interactions at 158 $$\hbox {Ge}\hbox {V}\!/\!c$$ Ge / c is used to quantify the strangeness enhancement in A+A collisions at the same centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair.

Abstract: Abstract The measurement of $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K∗(892)0 resonance production via its $$K^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ K+π- decay mode in inelastic p+p collisions at beam momentum 158 $$\text{ Ge }\text{ V }\!/\!c$$ GeV/c ($$\sqrt{s_{NN}}=17.3$$ sNN=17.3 $$\text{ Ge }\text{ V }$$ GeV ) is presented. The data were recorded by the NA61/SHINE hadron spectrometer at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron. The template method was used to extract the $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K∗(892)0 signal and double-differential transverse momentum and rapidity spectra were obtained. The full phase-space mean multiplicity of $$K^{*}(892)^0$$ K∗(892)0 mesons was found to be $$(78.44 \pm 0.38 \mathrm {(stat)} \pm 6.0 \mathrm {(sys)) \cdot 10^{-3}}$$ (78.44±0.38(stat)±6.0(sys))·10-3 . The NA61/SHINEresults are compared with the Epos1.99 and Hadron Resonance Gas models as well as with world data from p+p and nucleus–nucleus collisions.

Abstract: Abstract Results on $$\phi $$ ϕ meson production in inelastic $$p + p$$ p+p collisions at CERN SPS energies are presented. They are derived from data collected by the NA61/SHINE fixed target experiment, by means of invariant mass spectra fits in the $$\phi \rightarrow K^+ K^- $$ ϕ→K+K- decay channel. They include the first ever measured double differential spectra of $$\phi $$ ϕ mesons as a function of rapidity $$y$$ y and transverse momentum $$p_{\text {T}}$$ pT for proton beam momenta of $$80 \, \hbox {GeV}/c$$ 80GeV/c and $$158 \, \hbox {GeV}/c$$ 158GeV/c , as well as single differential spectra of $$y$$ y or $$p_{\text {T}}$$ pT for beam momentum of $$40 \, \hbox {GeV}/c$$ 40GeV/c . The corresponding total $$\phi $$ ϕ yields per inelastic $$p + p$$ p+p event are obtained. These results are compared with existing data on $$\phi $$ ϕ meson production in $$p + p$$ p+p collisions. The comparison shows consistency but superior accuracy of the present measurements. The emission of $$\phi $$ ϕ mesons in $$p + p$$ p+p reactions is confronted with that occurring in $$\mathrm{Pb} + \mathrm{Pb}$$ Pb+Pb collisions, and the experimental results are compared with model predictions. It appears that none of the considered models can properly describe all the experimental observations.

Abstract: Abstract Measurements of the $$\pi ^\pm $$ π± , $$K^\pm $$ K± , and proton double differential yields emitted from the surface of the 90-$$\hbox {cm}$$ cm -long carbon target (T2K replica) were performed for the incoming $$31\,$$ 31 $$\hbox {GeV}\!/\!c$$ GeV/c protons with the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS using data collected during 2010 run. The double differential $$\pi ^\pm $$ π± yields were measured with increased precision compared to the previously published NA61/SHINE results, while the $$K^\pm $$ K± and proton yields were obtained for the first time. A strategy for dealing with the dependence of the results on the incoming proton beam profile is proposed. The purpose of these measurements is to reduce significantly the (anti)neutrino flux uncertainty in the T2K long-baseline neutrino experiment by constraining the production of (anti)neutrino ancestors coming from the T2K target.

Abstract: Abstract Measurements of inclusive spectra and mean multiplicities of $$\pi ^\pm $$ π± , K$$^\pm $$ ± , p and $${\bar{\text {p}}}$$ p¯ produced in inelastic p + p interactions at incident projectile momenta of 20, 31, 40, 80 and 158 $$\text{ GeV }/c$$ GeV/c ($$\sqrt{s} = $$ s= 6.3, 7.7, 8.8, 12.3 and 17.3 $$\text{ GeV }$$ GeV , respectively) were performed at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron using the large acceptance NA61/SHINE hadron spectrometer. Spectra are presented as function of rapidity and transverse momentum and are compared to predictions of current models. The measurements serve as the baseline in the NA61/SHINE study of the properties of the onset of deconfinement and search for the critical point of strongly interacting matter.

Abstract: Abstract We present measurements of $$\rho ^0$$ ρ 0 , $$\omega $$ ω and K $$^{*0}$$ ∗ 0 spectra in $$\pi ^{-} + $$ π - + C production interactions at 158 $$\text{ GeV }{/}\text{ c }$$ GeV / c and $$\rho ^0$$ ρ 0 spectra at 350 $$\text{ GeV }{/}\text{ c }$$ GeV / c using the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS. Spectra are presented as a function of the Feynman’s variable $$x_\text {F}$$ x F in the range $$0< x_\text {F} < 1$$ 0 < x F < 1 and $$0< x_\text {F} < 0.5$$ 0 < x F < 0.5 for 158 and 350 $$\text{ GeV }{/}\text{ c }$$ GeV / c respectively. Furthermore, we show comparisons with previous measurements and predictions of several hadronic interaction models. These measurements are essential for a better understanding of hadronic shower development and for improving the modeling of cosmic ray air showers.

Abstract: Treatment of patients with high-risk neuroblastoma (NB) is a complex challenge, and it is based on response to certain elements of therapy. The development and introduction of new treatment approaches, such as GD2-targeted immunotherapy (IT), leads to improved survival in this cohort of patients. The aim of the study was to retrospectively assess the effectiveness of therapy in patients with high-risk NB before the introduction of IT into clinical practice. We retrospectively analyzed the data of 151 NB patients stratified into a high-risk group who had received treatment in accordance with the modified NB2004 protocol of the German Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (GPOH) at the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology from 01.2012 to 12.2017. This study was approved by the Independent Ethics Committee and the Academic Council of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology. All the study subjects (or their legal representatives) signed a voluntary informed consent form indicating their agreement to treatment and use of their data for research purposes. Overall survival (OS), event-free survival (EFS), and risk factors were analyzed in the patients with high-risk NB including those who had completed multimodal therapy with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and post-consolidation therapy with isotretinoin and had achieved a satisfactory response to induction therapy (complete response (CR), very good partial response (VGPR), partial response (PR)) (population of special interest). The main unfavorable prognostic clinical and molecular genetic factors affecting survival in the high-risk NB patients were older age, MYCN gene amplification, and stage 4 of the disease. The use of the modified GPOH NB2004 protocol resulted in a satisfactory response (CR/VGPR/PR) to the induction therapy in most patients: 124/151 (82.1 %). Surgery (other than primary tumor biopsy) led to improved survival, with no statistical difference between macroscopic radical surgery and macroscopic residual tumor. At the same time, radiation therapy (RT), as the second element of local control, had a significant impact on EFS in the group of the patients with stage 4 disease: the 3-year EFS was 39.4 % (95 % confidence interval (CI) 23.1–55.4) in the patients with RT versus 25.7 % (95 % CI 17.5–34.7) in the patients without RT (p = 0.0295). The introduction of a new high-dose TreoMel chemotherapy regimen did not result in worse survival rates but led to a decrease in transplant-related toxicity. The 5-year OS and 5-year EFS were 49.4 % (95 % CI 40.9–57.3 %) and 33.3 % (95 % CI 25.9–40.9) respectively for all the study subjects, and 81.6 % (95 % CI 70.3–88.9) and 55.1 % (95 % CI 43.1–65.5) respectively for the patients from the population of special interest. The analysis of the results of therapy in the high-risk NB patients who had received treatment at the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, yielded results comparable to those of the original GPOH NB2004 protocol. The patients with CR/VGPR/PR to the induction therapy who had completed the protocol treatment with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and isotretinoin post-consolidation therapy demonstrated higher 5-year EFS rates. However, there remains a need to develop more effective treatment regimens for high-risk NB.

28. Features of the Foveal Avascular Zone in Children with Active Retinopathy of Prematurity According to Optical Coherence Tomography in Angio Mode

Abstract: The purpose — to study the features of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ) in children with active retinopathy of prematurity according to the data of optical coherence tomography in angio-mode.Patients and methods. OCT-A was performed on 37 premature infants (37 eyes) with active ROP: at stages 1–2 — in 14 eyes (8 — with a favorable current type, 6 — with an unfavorable current), at stage 3 — in 16 eyes (6 — with a favorable type, 10 — with unfavorable), with aggressive posterior ROP — in 7 eyes (4 — at the stage of early clinical manifestations, 3 — at the stage of manifestation). Patients with stages 1 and 2 of active ROP were combined into one group due to similar findings. The control was the data of OCT-A performed on 10 premature infants without signs of ROP.Results. At 1–2 stages with a favorable type in children with a somatic state of moderate severity in the FAZ area, statistically significant differences in comparison with the control parameters were not determined. In children with a severe condition, FAZ was significantly expanded, which was accompanied by a significant decrease in the density of capillaries in the fovea. With an unfavorable type, a significant decrease in the size of the FAZ was noted, as well as a slight decrease in the density of the capillaries of the superficial plexus in the fovea. At stage 3 with a favorable type, an expansion of the FAZ, a decrease in the density of capillaries in the fovea in the superficial and deep plexus were recorded, and the values of the density of capillaries in the parafovea were slightly increased. At 3 stages with an unfavorable course in children born at a gestational age of 29–32 weeks, the FAZ was expanded. In children born at a gestational age of 25–28 weeks, a significant decrease in the size of the FAZ was recorded in comparison with children with a long gestation period, as well as those with a favorable course of stage 3. At the stage of early clinical manifestations of the posterior aggressive ROP, the FAZ was absent; vessels grew into it, which formed shunts and zones of intraretinal neovascularization in the form of “tangles”. At the stage of manifestation of the posterior aggressive ROP, a gross violation of the architectonics of the microvasculature was determined. As at the stage of early clinical manifestations, FAZ was absent; shunt vessels grew into it.Conclusion. The OCT method in angio-mode has showed high information content in studying the features of the foveal avascular zone in children with various forms, stages and types of active ROP. The characteristics of FAZ with an unfavorable type of the disease are of the greatest value for clinical practice. Their identification at the early stages of the pathological process will make it possible to timely determine the correct tactics and carry out the necessary treatment.

29. A variant of combined treatment for chronic central serous chorioretinopathy complicated by type 1 choroidal neovascularization

Abstract: Purpose: to evaluate the effectiveness of combined treatment of chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCRP) complicated by type 1 choroidal neovascularization (CNV) by subthreshold micropulse laser exposure (SMILE) and intravitreal injection of angiogenesis inhibitors ( IIAI). Material and methods. 37 patients (20 men and 17 women) with monolateral chronic recurrent CSCRP complicated by type 1 CNV, aged 35 to 57 (ave. 43.6 ± 6.7 yrs.) at the moment of first referral, were divided into two groups. The retrospective group included 15 patients (15 eyes) whose first phase of treatment consisted in IIAI (up to 5 injections with an interval of one month). Those who showed no treatment effect were given a SMILE procedure one day before the 6th injection. If neurosensory retinal detachment persisted, the combined treatment (SMILE + IIAI) was repeated monthly until the neurosensory retina could be fully attached, whereupon the patients were transferred to monotherapy with anti-VEGF injections, gradually increasing the interval between the injections. The main group included 22 patients (22 eyes), whose treatment began with a single IIAI. If no neurosensory retinal detachment resorption occurred, the patients received a SMILE procedure one day before the second IIAI injection. The combined treatment was repeated monthly until neurosensory retinal detachment completely resorbed, then the treatment continued with IIAI alone with a gradual increase of intervals between the injections. Results. The number of IIAI in the main group (5 to 8, ave. 6.1 ± 0.8) was significantly lower than in the retrospective group (8 to 10, ave. 8.8 ± 0.77). Best corrected visual acuity increased in both groups, but the main group showed a better central photosensitivity, which is associated with the faster reattachment of neurosensory retina. By the end of the follow-up period, the area of type 1 CNV, and the thickness of the choroid were significantly lower in the main group as compared to the retrospective group. The combined treatment did not cause a single case of complication. Conclusion. The proposed combination of laser exposure followed by IIAI is a safe method for treating complicated forms of CSCRP, which quickens the resorption of subretinal fluid and reduces the number of treatment procedures.

30. Macroheilitis as a manifestation of Melkersson – Rosenthal syndrome

Abstract: Melkersson – Rosenthal syndrome (SMR) is a disease manifested by a triad of symptoms: swelling of the lips and/or face, paralysis of the facial nerve, scrotal tongue. In clinical practice, the monosymptomatic variant of SMR is more common. The disease can develop at any age, but most cases occur at 25–40 years with a 2-fold predominance of women among patients. In children, SMR is more often observed at the age of 7 to 12 years, and the smallest child is described at the age of 22 months. The causes of the Melkersson – Rosenthal syndrome have not been definitively clarified. There are many hypotheses about the pathogenesis of SMR, the main of which are allergic, angioedema, infectious and genetic, immunological dysfunction. There are various historically established terms: Mischer’s granulomatous cheilitis, orofacial granulomatosis, SMR, which are regularly used as synonyms in the available literature. To date, SMR remains a diagnosis of exclusion, which is accompanied by the establishment of controversial diagnoses in practical healthcare. In most cases, the treatment of SMR is ineffective. Mainly systemic glucocorticosteroids, antibiotics, antihistamines, immunosuppressive drugs are used, upon discontinuation of which the disease often recurs. In this publication, we present two clinical cases of SMR. The interest of the first case lies in the presence of the entire group of clinical symptoms and the achievement of a positive treatment result. The second case is characterized by the achievement of long-term remission as a result of combination therapy with betamethasone, azithromycin and ketotifen. An overview of successful treatment options is also presented.

31. Taxonomic Hierarchy and Evolutionary Scenario of the Genus Group Apodemus s. l. (Muridae) of the Palearctic Based of Genetic Differentiation in the Cytochrome-1 (cyt-b) Gene

Abstract: Characters of taxonomy and evolutionary scenario based on genetic differentiation of generic groups of forest and field mice Apodemus s. l. were established by analyzing the variability of the cyt-b (cytochrome-1, cytb) gene. For this purpose, 124 sequences of Apodemus s. l. and other Palaearctic Muridae genera (Mus, Micromys, Rattus) were downloaded from GenBank. The adequacy of the categories of semispecies, allospecies, species, whose genetic differentiation corresponds to GD ranges of 0.03–0.06, 0.06–0.1 and 0.1–0.15, has been proven. Within the genus Sylvaemus the following species are recognised: S. (Sylvaemus) alpicola, S. (S.) arianus (= witherbyi), S. (S.) flavicollis, S. (S.) hyrcanicus, S. (S.) ponticus, S. (S.) (superspecies) sylvaticus, S. (S.) (superspecies) uralensis, S. (Karstomys) epimelas, S. (K.) mystacinus, S. rusiges: within Apodemus: A. agrarius, A. chevrieri, within Alsomys: Al. argenteus, Al. (superspecies) major (= peninsulae), Al. nigrus, Al. semotus, Al. speciosus. Generic taxonomy remains ambiguous, which is caused not only by different scales of differentiation of most species of Western and Eastern Palaearctic lineages, but also by the lack of information on key genus-specific characters: the number of roots on upper molars and number of mammary glands for most East Asian species.

32. Predictive Model for the Type of Active Retinopathy of Prematurity Based on Data from Angiological Studies

Abstract: The purpose — to develop a prognostic model of the type of active retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) based on informative prognostic parameters of optical coherence tomography of the retina in angio-mode (OCT-A) and color duplex scanning (CDS) for a reliable choice of patient management tactics.Patients and methods. 30 premature infants (30 eyes) with favorable and unfavorable types of 1–3 stages of active ROP were performed with optical coherence tomography of the retina in angio-mode. Children were born at a gestational age of 25–34 weeks. The birth weight of children was 680–2030 g. 55 premature infants (55 eyes) with active ROP were performed with CDS in modes of color Doppler mapping and pulsed Doppler sonography. Children were born at a gestational age of 25–32 weeks. The birth weight of children was 680–1760 g. ROC analysis was used to estimate the prognostic information content of the quantitative indicators of OCT-A and CDS in relation to the type of active ROP. The discriminant analysis was used to estimate the contribution of the studied quantitative indicators to the intergroup differences in the type of active ROP. A regression model was built to obtain a prediction of a favorable or unfavorable type of disease. The assessment of the acceptability of the model as a whole was carried out according to the index of determination and the level of significance of the resulting model (p < 0.05).Results. The most informative prognostic indicators of the type of active ROP were determined, according to OCT in angio-mode: the area of the foveal avascular zone — and, according to CDS: maximum systolic and end diastolic blood flow velocity in the ophthalmic artery, maximum systolic blood flow velocity in the posterior short ciliary arteries, minimum velocity blood flow in the central retinal vein. On the basis of informative indicators, a reliable prognostic model of the type of active ROP was built, which has two independent variables: the area of the foveal avascular zone and the end diastolic blood flow velocity in the ophthalmic artery. The dependent variable can take values close to 0, which determine the favorable type of the disease, or close to 1, which determines the unfavorable type of the disease.Conclusion. The introduction of the obtained model into clinical practice will allow to objectively determine the unfavorable course of the pathological process at the earliest stages, as well as to carry out early treatment of active ROP.

35. The state of ocular arterial blood flow in active retinopathy of prematurity

Abstract: Purpose: to study the state of blood flow in the ocular arteries of patients with various forms, stages and course types of active retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). Material and methods. Colour duplex scanning was performed by colour Doppler mapping and pulsed Doppler sonography for 55 premature babies (55 eyes) with active ROP and 8 premature babies (8 eyes) without ROP signs. The children’s gestation age was 25 to 32 weeks, and the body weight at birth was 680 to1760 g. Blood flow was examined in the ophthalmic artery (OA), the central retinal artery (CRA) and the medial and lateral posterior short ciliary arteries (PSCA). Results. The ophthalmic artery revealed no significant differences between the children with ROP and without ROP, except for a significant increase in the peak systolic velocity (Vsyst) in an unfavorable course of stage III of ROP. The development of aggressive posterior ROP is accompanied by a statistically insignificant decrease in blood flow velocity of OA. Hemodynamic parameters of CRA indicate an increase in peripheral vascular resistance in children with an unfavorable course of ROP. A significant increase of Vsyst in the posterior short ciliary arteries was revealed in children with an unfavorable course of stages I–III of ROP and Vsyst, and Vdiast (diastolic blood flow velocity) in children with aggressive posterior ROP as compared with children without ROP. A pronounced impact of the ROP course (favorable or unfavorable) on the Vsyst, Vdiast, and PI indicators in the posterior short ciliary arteries was revealed. The most informative hemodynamic parameters in predicting the course of active ROP are Vsyst and Vdiast values in the ophthalmic artery and Vsyst in the posterior short ciliary arteries. The least informative were the hemodynamic parameters of the central retinal artery. Conclusion. The assessment of hemodynamic changes in eye arteries may be used as an additional diagnostic criterion in the early diagnosis of ROP.

36. Results of the clinical and economic analysis of the state of pharmaceutical provision of patients with dementia in Alzheimer’s disease in Ukraine

Abstract: Aim. To conduct the clinical and economic analysis of the state of pharmaceutical provision of patients with dementia in Alzheimer’s disease in Ukraine. Materials and methods. Both general theoretical (historical, analytical-comparative, systemic, graphical, logical, hypothetical-deductive) and applied (clinical-economic, mathematical-statistical) research methods were used. Results. It was found that the vast majority of patients belonged to socially unprotected segments of the population. Thus, the proportion of pensioners was 71.0 %, and 40 patients (20.0 %) had disability groups. All patients, without exception, had a burdened anamnesis. On average, patients were treated in specialized medical institutions for 43.8 bed-days. The sum of 548,714.5 UAH (19,072.45 USD) was spent on drug provision for these patients, which amounted to 2,743.57 UAH (95.36 USD) per one patient. For one bed-day, patients used drugs for only 62.64 UAH (2.18 USD). Physicians wrote 2,487 prescriptions (12.4 per a patient) and used 128 drugs under international non-proprietary names or 218 drugs taking into account all their trade names. In the structure of medical prescriptions, there was a significant duplication of drugs represented by international non-proprietary names. According to the first level of the ATC classification system, the highest rates of prescription frequency were for group N – Drugs affecting the nervous system (861 prescriptions or 34.62 %), and according to the second level, there were drugs from group C01 – Cardiac therapy group (375 prescriptions or 15 .08 %). At the same time, the second and third positions by the number of prescriptions were occupied by drugs from groups N05 – Psycholeptics (363 prescriptions or 14.60 %) and N06 – Psychoanaleptics (309 prescriptions or 12.42 %). It was found that physicians prescribed 617 (24.81 %) drugs recommended by the Clinical Protocol for the treatment of cognitive and non-cognitive behavioral disorders in patients with dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease. Of the drugs in group N06D – Anti-dementia drugs, the drugs in group N06DX – Other drugs for the treatment of dementia had the highest prescribing rates (191 physicians), while drugs of group N06DA – Cholinesterase inhibitors were prescribed by physicians only 43 times. The highest prescription rates in the structure of pathogenetic therapy were drugs of group N06DX01 – Memantine (188 prescriptions or 30.47 %). Then, drugs of group N06DA03 – Rivastigmine (34 prescriptions or 5.51 %) and N06DA02 – Donepezil (6 prescriptions or 0.97 %) followed by a significant margin. The drugs of group N06DX01 – Memantine also occupied leading positions in the structure of drug consumption. Thus, the volume of their consumption was equal to 84,420.2 UAH (2,934,314 USD), which accounted for 15.39 % of the total cost of drug provision for patients and 91.76 % of drug consumption in group N06D – Medicines for use in dementia. Conclusions. A significant financial burden associated with the need to use pathogenetic therapy drugs in patients with dementia in Alzheimer’s disease requires the development and implementation of effective models of resource provision for pharmacotherapy and social support of neuropsychiatric patients in Ukraine.

37. Femtoassisted posterior lamellar keratoplasty in bullous keratopathy of stage IV–V (clinical application experience)

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Bullous keratopathy is a chronic edema of the cornea, accompanied by a significant visual acuity loss and pain. The cause of bullous keratopathy is a pathological irreversible decrease in the number of endothelial cells, in which the endothelial layer cannot perform its main barrier and pumping functions. AIM: To evaluate the reproducibility and functional results of femto-assisted posterior lamellar keratoplasty using intraoperative OCT at the stage IVV of bullous keratopathy. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was conducted on 23 eyes of 23 patients diagnosed with stage IVV of bullous keratopathy. The mean age of patients was 69 12 years, there were 14 male patients and 9 female patients. Before surgery, light perception with correct light projection was recorded in 15 cases, in 5 cases the count of fingers at the face (0.005), in 3 cases visual acuity was 0.01. The central corneal thickness varied from 981 m to 1960 m and averaged 1008 96 m. Femto LDV Z8 femtosecond laser (Ziemer, Switzerland) was used to form an endothelial graft. All surgeries were performed using the Hi-R Neo 900 operating microscope with an integrated third-generation OCT module (Haag-Streit Surgical, Germany). RESULTS: No intraoperative complications were noted. The presence of objective control in the form of intraoperative OCT made it possible in all cases to clearly differentiate stromal and endothelial surfaces of the posterior layered graft located in the anterior chamber of the eye. The postoperative course was standard for posterior lamellar keratoplasty, accompanied by resorption of corneal edema with restoration of its transparency. The normalization of corneal thickness was noted by 1 month after surgery, and the restoration of corneal optical properties was noted by 36 months and was accompanied by gradual increase in visual acuity. Corrected visual acuity by 1 month was 0.05 0.03, by 3, 6, 12 months 0.1 0.05, 0.15 0.05 and 0.15 0.04, respectively. By 12 months after surgery, the central corneal thickness was 596 42 m, the thickness of the ultrathin graft tended to decrease somewhat to 67 8 m, the loss of endothelial cells was 59.3%. Endothelial graft survival was achieved in 82.6% of cases. CONCLUSIONS: The use of intraoperative OCT allows expanding the indications for posterior lamellar keratoplasty in bullous keratopathy, including the stage IVV of the disease.

Abstract: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading causes of death from cancer in many countries of the world, both in men and women, and these rates are on the rise. The probability of suffering from CRC is about 4–5 % and the risk for developing CRC is associated with personal features or habits such as age, chronic disease history and lifestyle, but in most cases colorectal cancer develops as a result of the degeneration of adenomatous formations or along the jagged path. Immune dysregulation, dysbiosis, and epithelial destruction contribute to colorectal cancer carcinogenesis. The gut microbiota has a relevant role, and dysbiosis situations can induce colonic carcinogenesis through a chronic inflammation mechanism. Some of the bacteria responsible for this multiphase process include Fusobacterium spp., Bacteroides fragilis and enteropathogenic Escherichia coli. moreover, CRC is caused by mutations that target oncogenes, tumour suppressor genes and genes related to DNA repair mechanisms.Considering that the average time for the development of adenocarcinoma from precancer takes about 10 years, changes in the microbiota can be a prospective marker for screening precancerous conditions of the colon, as well as the detection of changes in DNA.The work will discuss the relationship between changes in the microbial composition of the colon with the genetic mutations identified by molecular genetic sequencing.

40. Changes in the microvasculature with active retinopathy of prematurity as evidenced by OCT angiography

Abstract: Purpose: to evaluate the degree of structural lesions of the microvasculature, depending on the stage and type of active ROP with optical coherence tomography (OCT) in angio-mode (OCTA). Material and methods. 63 premature infants (63 eyes) with active ROP were tested by OCT of the retina, of which 30 were tested by OCTA. Additionally, 10 premature infants (10 eyes) without signs of ROP were tested by OCTA. We assessed the area and perimeter of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ), the thickness of the retina in the fovea, the density of the superficialand deep plexuses in the fovea and parafovea, the presence or absence of intraretinal, epiretinal and retinovitreal neovascular complexes. Results. We revealed gross structural and microvascular retinal pathology in children with ROP, which was more pronounced in children with an unfavorable course of the disease. Of these, the most affected were children with a shorter gestational period, i. e , more immature. In children with a favorable type of ROP course, a severe general condition has a serious impact on the child’s microvasculature state. The analysis of the correlation dependences of OCTA on the gestational age, stage and type of active ROP, showed a strong direct correlation between the retinal thickness in the fovea, the density of superficial plexus vessels in the fovea, the area and perimeter of the FAZ, on the one hand, and the course of the disease, which is crucial for the correct choice of management and treatment tactics. Conclusion. The OCTA data allow an objective assessment of the severity of the changes in the retinal vasculature, including its microcirculatory component. The data effectively supplement the clinical picture and help identifying the progressive course o f active ROP at the earliest stages of the pathological process, thereby contributing to timely treatment and good clinical and functional results.

41. Growing child horizons: paradoxes and research prospects

Abstract: Introduction. The issue of studying the process of growing up of a growing child in the realities of our time is of particular relevance and significance. A number of contradictions can be clearly seen (changes in the space of the child's functioning, the absence of a single track of growing up, the presence of tendencies towards the manifestation of disharmonious forms of behavior). Materials and Methods. The purpose of our study is the theoretical substantiation and development of the conceptual foundations for growing children growing up at the distance of childhood, taking into account the specifics of different educational environments. Among the key tasks, we focused, firstly, on describing the numerous cross-section of domestic and foreign works that are closely related to childhood and adulthood against the backdrop of constantly changing sociocultural practices, and secondly, to identify specific dynamic changes in emerging educational environments. problems, focusing on the main contradictions generated by the very process of growing up; thirdly, to develop the main conceptual provisions of the psychological and pedagogical analysis of the growing child growing up in educational organizations. The article is based on sociological and psychological-pedagogical studies of the problems of growing up of growing children, carried out by modern Russian and foreign scientists. Methods used: phenomenological and problem analysis. Results. An analysis of our studies (2015-2021), studies of domestic and foreign specialists made it possible to state the following conclusions: – We consider the maturation of a modern child in an educational environment as a cyclical process of constant change in the structure of his subjective and objective characteristics, including the formation of an image of adulthood in a child during ontogenesis, its development and implementation, as well as the reflection of the development of adulthood by children in the psychological and pedagogical space of participants in the educational process (parents, teachers). – The concept of the psychology of growing up a child is considered as a theoretical system that includes structure, typology, dynamics, research methods, a model that develops psychological technologies aimed at the favorable passage of age and educational crises by students (transition from “childhood” to “adult” state, in in which a growing person will have to independently determine its semantic content, showing behavior independent of the direct influence of circumstances). Discussion and Conclusions. The data obtained made it possible to substantiate the importance and objectivity of the scientific positions defended in the future. In connection with the new challenges of objective reality in modern educational environments, the search for predictors of successful maturation of growing young people, this area of research seems to be quite relevant, requiring further study.

42. The results of grouping of the Ukrainian regions by epidemiological indicators for lung and bronchial cancer as an important component in the development of rational ways to finance the pharmaceutical component of state programs to combat cancer

Abstract: Aim. To group the regions of Ukraine by the indicators of morbidity and mortality of the population from lung and bronchial cancer and identify the areas that require public attention and resource support from the state for the purpose of early detection of these pathologies and the organization of effective pharmaceutical provision of cancer patients. Materials and methods. The data of the National Cancer Register for 2014-2019 by indicators of morbidity and mortality of the population from lung and bronchial cancer were analyzed. Both general theoretical (historical, analytical-comparative, system, graphical, logical, hypothetical-deductive) and applied (epidemiological, mathematical-statistical) research methods were used. Results. It was found that the average values of morbidity and mortality of the population from lung and bronchial cancer in Ukraine in accordance with the sex and age structure were 66.78 ± 0.05 and 53.67 ± 0.03 per 100 thousand populations, respectively. There was a significant fluctuation in these indicators by regions. The lowest and highest values of morbidity and mortality were observed in the same regions, namely in Kyiv and the Kherson region, respectively. Thus, in the Kherson region, the average incidence of lung and bronchial cancer was 1.8 times, and the death rate was 1.9 times higher than in Kyiv. It was proven that most regions (45.84 % of their total number) of the country were included in the groups with an unfavorable (3 regions and Ukraine as a whole) and extremely unfavorable state of development of the oncoepidemiological situation (7 regions of the country). Concern about the high mortality rate from lung and bronchial cancer is caused by the situation that has developed in the Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Mykolaiv regions. We believe that in the group of regions with an extremely unfavorable state of development of the oncoepidemiological situation for lung and bronchial cancer, special attention in the direction of early detection and effective medical and pharmaceutical support should be paid to areas with the highest rates of morbidity and mortality of patients. These are Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad and Kherson regions. Conclusions. The presence of significant fluctuations in morbidity and mortality rates of the population from lung and bronchial cancer in the regions of the country necessitates the development and implementation of regional programs for the early detection of these pathologies and the provision of cancer patients with affordable and effective anticancer drugs in accordance with the existing resource provision at the regional and local community level.

43. Microbiological and molecular identification of the anaerobic component of the oral microbiota in patients with cancer of the oropharyngeal region

Abstract: A research objective - to study tumor tissues of primary and recurrent patients with cancer of the oropharyngeal region for the frequency of occurrence of four types of anaerobic periodontogens and their associations by two methods: real-time PCR and cultural. There is speculation that bacteria can influence the pathogenesis of cancer. A comparative assessment of the content of four anaerobic periodontogens (Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Tannerella forsythensis, Treponema denticola) in the tumor tissue and in the healthy tissue of the oral mucosa of patients with oropharyngeal cancer was carried out. It was found that the identification of odontopathogens by the real-time PCR method is much more informative than the traditional culture method, with the exception of P. intermedia, for the identification of which the traditional culture method was more effective. In 33.3% of patients, both primary and secondary, the composition of microorganisms was the same in both healthy and tumor tissue. In 20% of primary patients and in 13.3% of repeat patients, no associations of microorganisms included in the study were found in healthy tissue. Associations of 4 bacteria were recorded only in tumor tissue in both primary and repeated patients, and in repeated patients - statistically significantly more often. In 53.3% of repeat patients, associations of 4 bacteria were recorded in tumor tissue, whereas in primary patients, only in one case. P. gingivalis from tumor tissue in repeat patients was statistically significantly more often than in primary patients. T. forsythensis in primary patients was found statistically significantly more often in healthy tissues than in repeat patients, in which T. forsythensis was found statistically significantly more often from tumor tissue than in healthy tissue). T. denticola in healthy tissue was detected in both primary and repeated patients in isolated cases. T. denticola in tumor tissue was found statistically significantly more frequently in both primary and repeated patients compared to healthy tissue. P. gingivalis, T. forsythensis, and T. denticola should perhaps be considered risk indicators indicating the level of significance of their associations with oropharyngeal cancer.

44. Anatomical and morphological results of modified femtolaser refractive autokeratoplasty in patients with keratoconus

Abstract: Aim to evaluate the anatomical and morphological outcomes of modified femtolaser refractive autokeratoplasty in patients with stage II keratoconus. Material and methods. The study included 24 patients diagnosed with stage II keratoconus according to the Amsler Krumeich classification. All patients underwent femtolaser refractive autokeratoplasty (FRAK) according to a modified technique. Results. All operated patients noted an improvement in visual functions on the first day after surgery. The obtained images of optical coherence tomography showed a more uniform posterior profile in the central zone of the cornea, the absence of "folding" of the posterior surface. A characteristic feature of the postoperative period was the change in the depth of the anterior chamber its pronounced decrease was noted with a tendency to a systematic increase. In 2 months after the removal of suture fixation, the depth of the anterior chamber remained stable throughout the follow-up period. The data of confocal microscopy of the central zone of the cornea after 12 months demonstrated the absence of additional (specific) morphological changes in the cornea. The characteristic morphological changes for keratoconus remained the same as before the FRAK.

45. Serum level of laminin in rats fed with a high-fat diet with sulodexide administration

Abstract: Background. Increased consumption of animal fat with food contributes to the accumulation of lipids both in the blood and in individual cell structures. Excess fat initiates oxidative stress reactions, which may result in a violation of the structural and functional integrity of cells, in particular, hepatocytes and endotheliocytes. Cytolysis may release specific liver enzymes and activate synthesis of extracellular matrix components, one of the markers of which is a non-collagen glycoprotein laminin.The drug sulodexide, having a pronounced angioprotective, hypolipidemic, and fibrinolytic effects, contributes to restoration of a number of metabolic disorders.Aim. To study the content of lipid metabolism parameters, major enzymes of hepatic cytolysis, and laminin in the blood of rats fed with a high-fat diet against the background of sulodexide administration.Materials and methods. For the study, outbred rats were selected, which were divided into three groups – two experimental groups and one control group. The rats of the first and second experimental groups were fed with a diet with a high content of animal fat (44% of the daily calorie content) for 35 days. In addition, the rats of the second experimental group were daily subcutaneously injected with sulodexide at a dose of 8.5 LRU / kg in terms of the animal’s body weight for 35 days. Starting from day 36 of the experiment, the rats of the control group, as well as the rats of the two experimental groups were fed with a standard diet of the vivarium. The animals were decapitated and blood was taken on day 21, 35, and 60 of the experiment. In the blood serum, the levels of the main lipid metabolism parameters, specific liver enzymes, and laminin were determined.Results. An increase in the body weight of animals and the level of the studied lipid metabolism parameters in the blood serum was revealed. It is likely that the structural integrity of hepatocytes was affected with the release of liver enzymes into the bloodstream and an increase in their content in the blood of rats. In addition, synthesis of extracellular matrix components was activated with an increase in the serum level of laminin, which performs important structural and regulatory functions.Conclusion. The use of sulodexide had a favorable effect on the studied metabolic disorders caused by a high-fat diet. It resulted in the normalization of the synthesis of laminin, one of the major non-collagen proteins of the extracellular matrix.

47. Evaluation of indicators of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in rats depending on the type of high-calorie diet

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Recently, there has been an increase in the number of cardiovascular diseases and mortality rates among the population. This may be due to a violation of metabolic processes in the body, in particular lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, caused by an unbalanced high-calorie diet.PURPOSE: To study and compare the main indicators of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in a fructose-fortified diet and a diet with a high fat content under experimental conditions.MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was carried out on outbred white rats, males, which were divided into 3 groups — a control group and two experimental ones, 15 individuals in each. The rats of the first experimental group were kept on a high-fat diet, the second experimental group was assigned a fructose-enriched diet for 35 days. The control group was on a balanced diet. We studied the changes in the parameters of carbohydrate (glucose, insulin, insulin resistance indices) and lipid (cholesterol-, high- and low-density lipoproteins, triglycerides) metabolism on the 21st, 35th and 60th days of the experiment. The results were statistically processed using the Mann-Whitney test. The study design is retrospective.RESULTS: During the experiment, an increase in the content of glucose, insulin, and lipid metabolism parameters was observed in the experimental groups. Moreover, the content of glucose and insulin in a fructose-fortified diet increased by 18.7% (p = 0,009), 22.2% (p = 0,076), 21.5% (p = 0,009) and 50% (p = 0,009), 62.5% (p = 0,009), 106.3% (p = 0,009) over the days of the experiment, respectively. The increase in lipid metabolism was more pronounced in the experimental group, which had an increased fat content in the diet, already in the first time period of the experiment: cholesterol — by 80,8% (p = 0,009), low-density lipoproteins — by 100% (p = 0,009), triglycerides — by 120% (p = 0,009), high-density lipoproteins — by 60.9% (p = 0,009).CONCLUSION: The experimental data obtained show changes in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism due to increased consumption of fats and fructose.

49. THE PLACE OF ULTRASOUND DIAG NOSTICS IN THE TREATMENT OF INVERSE STRABISMUS

Abstract: The study included 12 children. The children's age was 10-17 years. Children have complained about developed reverse strabismus after operations performed for concomitant strabismus. Ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) of the anterior segment of the eye was performed to estimate the topography of previously operated extraocular muscles and plan subsequent surgical treatment. UBM with a frequency of 50 MHz makes it possible to accurately measure the distance from the limbus to the attachment point to the sclera of the horizontal rectus oculomotor muscle after a previous intervention. In cases the details of the previous operation are not available, the information provided by UBM may be useful in determining the surgical tactics.

50. Import Substitution In The Customs Authorities Of The Russian Federation

Abstract: The article analyzes the state of implementation of import substitution of information and communication technologies in the customs authorities of the Russian Federation. At the same time, foreign software tools used in customs authorities have been identified, which are subject to replacement by domestic analogues (Oracle database management system, Oracle BI analytical tools, Windows and VMware operating systems, software for the transport platform for guaranteed delivery of electronic messages IBM MQ, etc.); the requirements of the customs authorities for import-substituting software products have been formed; an assessment of the relevant domestic software that can participate in the import substitution program of information and communication technologies of the customs authorities has been carried out. Testing and evaluation were carried out in relation to the following domestic developments: PostgresPro database management systems, BI platforms, a number of domestic operating systems, software of the Transport technological subsystem “Factor-ESB”. The results of testing and evaluation of domestic software made it possible to exclude a number of domestic software products as non-compliant with the requirements of customs authorities, identify software products that most meet the requirements of customs authorities and determine the directions of their refinement and (or) modernization.
