In 1972, Sharp et al described the mixed connective tissue disease; such a description corresponded to an apparently distinct rheumatic disease syndrome associated to U1RNP, which is an extractable nuclear antigen or ENA (1). After this clever description, different overlap syndromes that did not meet the EMTC criteria were described. Conceptually Alarcón-Segovia coined the term of “shared autoimmunity”, which was defined by the presence of two or more data compatible with autoimmune disease; such category of disease describes signs or symptoms of certain autoimmune connective diseases, for instance Rupus corresponds to lupus erythematosus associated...

The interaction of 1-naphthol and 2-naphthol with several quaternary ammonium salts was studied. Spectrofluorimetric methods were developed for the determination of both naphthols in hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide micellar medium. The detection limits are 1.4 and 10.2 ng/ml for 1-naphthol, and 6.2 and 5.1 ng/ml for 2-naphthol employing the conventional and synchronous spectrofluorimetric methods, respectively. The use of the first-derivative spectrum allows for the simultaneous determination of both naphthols. The recoveries of 1-naphthol and 2-naphthol in natural waters are acceptable.

Nowadays society is worried about the environmental conservation. Therefore, it is crucial to take advantage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and maintenance knowledge to guide the evolution of maintenance management toward energy efficiency. Many researches focus their attention on the savings concerning steam consumption or oil consumption in huge plants of process industries. Nevertheless, even if in such kind of environment the savings are large, in other industrial context the savings are related to other kinds of equipments, not concerned with steam production, oil consumption, movement of pressured air, etc. In particular, looking at the exponentially progress of Information and Communication Technologies, it is worth noticing that, unfortunately, the consumption of power has increased for the electronic devices as well. Even if more efficient electronic devices are available, they are used in a major number than in the past and so the total consumption of energy related to these equipments has increased. To improve the energy efficiency of industrial electronic devices it is necessary to monitor, not only the main equipment under analysis, but also the entire infrastructure that surrounds and supports the main equipment. In industrial environment one of the main centre of power consumption can be the Data Centres (DC) for data elaboration. To this end there are some standards and best practices on power consumption recently established. Systems as SCADA and different sensors can provide information to optimize the maintenance avoiding short circuits and reducing the consumption [1], [2]. This paper presents an overview of these standards and best practices and then proposes a practical case to demonstrate the possibility to save energy in this application. The case represents an action research activity. In the action research, first of all quick wins were achieved, based on the savings of energy in the infrastructure that surrounds and supports the main equipment. This represents a first phase of improvement of the system. A second phase of improvement is then represented by the implementation of a SCADA system to monitor the status of the equipments in the data center.

Cobalt and 3-(2′-thiazolylazo)-2,6-diaminotoluene react in an acidic sodium acetate medium in the presence of vanadate to give several complexes. The soluble blue complex in a strong perchloric acid medium (H0=–0.5) obeys Beer's law between 0.05 and 0.60 p.p.m., with a molar absorptivity of 9.74 × 104 l mol–1 cm–1 at 590 nm, a Sandell sensitivity index of 0.60 ng cm–2 and a relative error of 0.13%. The method is highly specific and has been applied to the spectrophotometric determination of cobalt in low-alloy steels, hydrofining catalysts and high-purity nickel salts.

International audience; Phd abstracts constitute a specific case of specialized academic genre. In the particular case of the French scientific community, they are now nearly always translated into or directly written in English by non native speakers. Therefore, they offer an interesting opportunity to understand how would-be researchers try and build up their authorial stance through this specific type of writing. Besides defining their field of investigation and formulating new scientific propositions, authors have to demonstrate their ability to belong to a discourse community through their mastering of a specific genre. Based on the study of parallel corpora of abstracts written in English by NS and NNS in different disciplines, evidence is given of phraseological regularities specific to NS and NNS. The abstracts belong to different disciplines and fields of research, mainly in hard sciences, such as “material science”, “information research”,” mathematics didactics”. We analyse more specifically the expression of authorial stance through pronouns and impersonal tenses, modal verbs, adverbs and adjectives. The realization of lexical cohesion is considered as part of the building up of an authorial stance.Using the theoretical and methodological approach of lexicogrammar and genre study, the structure analysis of several texts in different disciplines and both languages (L1 and L2) provides evidence of different discourse planes specific to this type of text (Hunston 2000): text and metatext, the abstract presenting an account of the thesis, which, in turn, accounts for and comments the research work. This detailed study makes it possible to distinguish the different markers used to separate the different planes. It also shows that all abstracts include the following elements or “moves” (Biber 2008): referential discourse (theoretical basis), definition of a proposition or hypothesis, an account of the research work, conclusions and/or prescriptions. This will be mainly shown through the use of a combination of tenses and pronouns. Verbs and verbs collocations could also be semantically categorized and their distribution analysed, distribution analysis and semantic categorisation of verbs and their collocations providing further evidence on communicative strategies in abstracts.Based on these findings and using concordancing tools, a comparative study of abstracts written by NS and NNS t reveal significant differences between these two types of texts. This in turn leads to an interrogation as to the consequences on their specific semantic prosody and their acceptance by the academic community (Swales 1990).The results of this study, since they show evidence of phraseological regularities specific to an academic genre, could be useful for information research, giving leads towards the automatic recognition of the genre. Besides, the evidence of important differences between NS and NNS realisations and the analysis of their consequences will help to define more adapted goals to EAP teaching.

Background: Uric acid has been related to a tendency to precipitate to form crystals, presenting asymptomatically, until the formation of arthritis, tophi or renal lithiasis. Previously, the presence of asymptomatic hyperuricaemia has been associated with the presence of cardiovascular disease., Objectives: To determine the association of complex coronary artery disease in patients with asymptomatic hyperuricaemia., Material and Methods: An observational retrospective, transversal, unicentric study was conducted in a tertiary hospital in Mexico, in the period from June 2017 to March 2019. All patients admitted for coronary angiography were included; patients with gout, use of diuretics and chronic kidney disease were excluded., Results: During the study period, a total of 300 patients were collected, of which 40% presented hyperuricaemia. The patients with hyperuricaemia were older (59 vs. 63, P = .002). The group of patients with asymptomatic hyperuricaemia had a higher proportion of complex coronary lesions (64 vs. 35%, P ≤ .0001) as well as a higher SYNTAX I score (27 vs. 17, P ≤ .001). There was a higher probability of presenting complex coronary lesions in this group of patients (OR 3.4, P ≤ .0001). In addition, in the group division of uric acid levels, it was related to the presence of complex coronary lesions (Q1 = .5, P = .06), (Q2 = 2, P = .01) and (Q3 = 3, P ≤ .0001)., Conclusion: Asymptomatic hyperuricaemia has a higher prevalence and association of presenting complex coronary lesions., (Copyright © 2019 Elsevier España, S.L.U. and Sociedad Española de Reumatología y Colegio Mexicano de Reumatología. - Abstract
Background: In patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), left ventricle diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) may be the only manifestation of cardiac involvement in anticipation of systolic dysfunction. It has been seen that myocardial deformation of the left atrium (LA), through the LA global longitudinal strain (LAGLS), may be useful in assessing diastolic function., Objective: To evaluate LA function through myocardial deformation in patients with LES, and compare the LA strain in patients with active, inactive and controls., Methods: Fifty patients with SLE were included and compared with 50 healthy controls paired by age and gender. Myocardial deformation was measured by transthoracic echocardiogram, to investigate the LAGLS, the strain of the three phases of the LA cycle and the strain rate. The differences between groups were compared in univariate analysis., Results: LAGLS in SLE patients was less than in the controls (41.6% vs. 50.5%; p=.02), and in the 3 phases of the LA cycle. There were no differences in the LA strain rate in both groups (SLE 2.5s
-1 vs. controls 2.75s-1 ; p=.1). It was also found that the LAGLS was lesser in active patients than controls and inactive., Conclusions: SLE patients have lower myocardial deformation of the LA, which is expressed as a lower diastolic function correlating with early subclinical myocardial damage., (Copyright © 2019 Elsevier España, S.L.U. and Sociedad Española de Reumatología y Colegio Mexicano de Reumatología. - Abstract
Peficitinib hydrobromide is a small Janus kinase inhibitor (JAK1, JAK2, JAK3 and TYK2) molecule for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Phase II and phase III clinical trials and extension studies with different doses have been conducted to assess the drug's efficacy and safety with substantially improved outcomes observed in RA. This JAK inhibitor oral drug demonstrated clinical response as once-daily monotherapy in patients with moderate to severe RA, also in combination with methotrexate (MTX), who had an inadequate response to MTX. The findings from studies of this new JAK inhibitor have shown that, both in monotherapy as well as in combination with conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs), it has efficacy, safety and tolerability in RA patients., (Copyright 2020 Clarivate Analytics.)

- Abstract
Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by synovial membrane damage and autoantibody production. RA is a heterogeneous disease, where cytokines such as IL-15, IL-21, and IFN-γ have been associated. However, their association with the autoantibodies has not been clearly described. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the cytokines IL-15, IL-21, and IFN-γ with the autoantibodies (RF, anti-CCP, anti-MCV, and anti-PADI4) in RA and disease activity., Methodology: This study included 153 RA patients and 80 control subjects (CS). The levels of IL-15, IL-21, IFN-γ, anti-CCP, anti-MCV, and anti-PADI4 were quantified by ELISA, whereas RF was quantified by turbidimetry. The disease activity was evaluated by the indices disease activity score 28-erythrocyte sedimentation rate (DAS28-ESR), clinical disease activity index (CDAI), and simple disease activity index (SDAI)., Results: The serum levels of IL-15, IL-21, and IFN-γ, and autoantibodies were increased in RA patients, compared with CS (p < 0.05). A correlation was found between IL-21 and anti-CCP and anti-MCV (p < 0.05). According to RA evolution, RF, anti-CCP, and anti-MCV had higher levels in early RA. In addition, increased levels of IL-21 were observed in RA seropositive patients (RF/anti-CCP/anti-MCV). The higher levels of both cytokines and autoantibodies were observed in moderate activity, evaluated by the three indices., Conclusions: Our results suggest that the increased soluble levels of IL-15, IL-21, and IFN-γ are involved in the inflammatory network in RA. However, IL-21 serum levels are associated with higher titers of autoantibodies (RF, anti-CCP, and anti-MCV) and IL-15 with moderate activity. Key Points • IL-15, IL-21, and IFN-y are associated with the immunopathology of RA, but not significantly with the evolution of the disease. • RF, anti-CCP, and anti-MCV had higher levels in early than established RA. • IL-21 has an association with RF, anti-CCP, and anti-MCVand, for this reason, could be proposed as a disease biomarker. • Patients with activity moderate of disease showed higher levels of RF, anti-CCP, anti-MCV, and IL-15.

Background: The pharmacologic management of rheumatoid arthritis has progressed substantially over the past years. It is therefore desirable that existing information be periodically updated. There are several published international guidelines for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis that hardly adapt to the Mexican health system because of its limited healthcare resources. Hence, it is imperative to unify the existing recommendations and to incorporate them to a set of clinical, updated recommendations; the Mexican College of Rheumatology developed these recommendations in order to offer an integral management approach of rheumatoid arthritis according to the resources of the Mexican health system., Objective: To review, update and improve the available evidence within clinical practice guidelines on the pharmacological management of rheumatoid arthritis and produce a set of recommendations adapted to the Mexican health system, according to evidence available through December 2012., Methods: The working group was composed of 30 trained and experienced rheumatologists with a high quality of clinical knowledge and judgment. Recommendations were based on the highest quality evidence from the previously established treatment guidelines, meta-analysis and controlled clinical trials for the adult population with rheumatoid arthritis., Results: During the conformation of this document, each working group settled the existing evidence from the different topics according to their experience. Finally, all the evidence and decisions were unified into a single document, treatment algorithm and drug standardization tables., Conclusions: This update of the Mexican Guidelines for the Pharmacologic Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis provides the highest quality information available at the time the working group undertook this review and contextualizes its use for the complex Mexican health system., (Copyright © 2013 Elsevier España, S.L. - Abstract
The depressive symptoms are associated with chronic pain in this study. A cross-sectional study was performed. A visual analog scale was used to register pain intensity. Depressive symptoms were measured using the Center of Epidemiological Studies (CES-Dr) scale as modified by Eaton and reviewed for use in the Mexican population. The study included 245 patients, with a mean age of 46 years, 86.1% of whom were female. The prevalence of some degree of depression was 55.1%. Patients with fibromyalgia had the highest prevalence of symptoms of depression (78.38%) and major depression (29.73%). Stepwise multiple regressions indicated that the best model (r2 = 0.26) to predict the CES-Dr score included the global pain score (P < 0.0001) and education level (P < 0.004). The Cronbach's alpha of the CES-Dr was high (alpha = 0.888). There was moderate correlation (r = 0.442), P < 0.0001 of the CES-Dr numeric score with the intensity of global pain.

- Abstract
The smooth muscle of thoracic aorta from guinea pig sensitized with egg albumin (EA) produced an anaphylactic contraction when it was exposed to EA. Experiments were performed to evaluate stress effects on the anaphylactic contraction in guinea pig aortic rings. Two types of stressors were used as immunosuppressor stimuli: physical restraint and shaking of the animals. Both stressors diminished the amplitude of the Schultz-Dale contraction in aortic rings from sensitized guinea pig. The shake stress stimulus interrupted several times during each session induced higher immunosuppression in animals in which the active sensitization and the stress sessions began the same day. Severe restraint stress, prior to active immunization, also suppressed significantly the anaphylactic response. The Schulz-Dale reaction in guinea pig aorta seems to be a valuable technique to study the stress effects on the anaphylactic response.
