Induced oscillations in the electromechanical worm-gear drives of rotary-type manufacturing machines are investigated. Using two design models, viz., a model with rigid linkages and a model that accounts for elastic linkages, natural frequencies have been determined and amplitude-frequency characteristics have been constructed. An asynchronous drive motor is described by the dynamic characteristic. A comparison of the results calculated using two models has established the range of the initial parameters within which the dependences can be used that were obtained from the simplest design model with rigid linkages. This will allow considerable simplification and reduction in the time of synthesizing the drive under consideration.

The paper considers the proposed design and a developed on the basis of an integrated approach mathematical model of the feed rate of a vertical hopper-feeding device with rollers for flat and close to equidimensional parts of the shape of bodies of rotation with asymmetry at the ends of two types: with a cylindrical stepped end and an end in the form of a truncated cone. The developed model, the adequacy and correctness of which is confirmed by the results of experimental studies, allows at the design stage with high precision for practice to determine the parameters of the feeding device, which will ensure the required feed rate and reliability of automatic machines and lines.

Results of pilot study and their statistical processing on the basis of multiple-factor experiment are provided. Operation of the stand of the lock feeder applied to dispensing of bulks from metal powders by way of time separation from the flow of micro doses of components given by the feeder was investigated. These feeders are used as the automation equipment in conveyor, rotor and birotary non-mixing installations. Regression models for determination of the actual productivity of lock feeder are received. It is established that dependences of productivity of lock feeders on the circumferential speed of rotation of the dosing drum and its operating volume are nonlinear. At the constant volume of grooves, the same productivity can be received at different values, the circumferential speed of drum that is at implementation of the different kinematic modes. At design and the choice of processing equipment it is necessary to use the received dependences that will allow on the set actual capacity of the feeder to choose geometry and kinematic parameters of process of dispensing.

The paper considers an advanced design of a mechanical toothed hopper-feeding device with a ring orientator designed for automatic feeding of ax symmetric parts in the form of bodies of rotation, asymmetric at the ends, into technological machines. A new theoretical approach to the mathematical description of the feed rate of the mechanical toothed hopper-feeding device is proposed. This theoretical approach allows a correct assessment of the feed rate for various parts at the design stage of the technological machine, as well as to justify the rational parameters of the hopper-feeding device, in which its feed rate will be maximum.
