The work is devoted to the development of multiscale approach for modeling the multiphase flows of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons in plants for the processing of organic fuels. One of the important stages of such processing is the purification of crude oil or natural gas from various kinds of contaminants (metal particles, solid organic compounds, etc.). To model the cleaning processes, the multiscale mathematical model has been proposed that combines macroscopic and microscopic descriptions of multiphase fluid flows in the channel of the treatment system. As a test of the model, the problem of purifying natural gas from hydrogen sulfide by passing a contaminated fluid through a porous material is considered. The general mathematical model of the flow of a contaminated gas mixture consists of two main parts. The first part is related to the macroscopic scale of the treatment system and includes modified quasigasdynamic and quasihydrodynamic equations for describing multiphase multicomponent fluid flows, supplemented by reaction–convection–diffusion equations for the concentrations of harmful impurities. The second part of the model describes processes in the boundary layers and is based on the equations of analytical chemistry and molecular dynamics. An explicit algorithm has been developed for the numerical implementation of the macroscopic model. The aim of the work is a physically substantiated formulation of all components of the model and a preliminary calculation of microflow in a porous material.

The problem of modeling the properties of diatomic gases by molecular dynamics methods is considered. Such studies are traditional for the physics of matter. Currently, there is an increased interest in this problem in connection with the development of nanotechnology and their implementation in various industries. In this study, the question of refining the original classical model of Newton’s dynamics is considered. In particular, a technique is discussed for taking into account additional degrees of freedom that characterize the rotational motions of diatomic molecules. This is due to the need to correctly calculate the heat capacity. To solve this problem, it is proposed to add equations for the angular momentum and rotational velocities of molecules to the molecular dynamics model. For such an extended formulation, a special numerical algorithm is developed that generalizes the Verlet scheme. Based on the proposed algorithm, a computational program is developed. It is used to calculate the heat capacity curve for nitrogen in the temperature range 100–400 K at a pressure of 1 atm. The calculated data obtained agree with the well-known data from the reference books.

Рассматривается проблема моделирования свойств двухатомных газов методами молекулярной динамики. Подобные исследования являются традиционными для физики вещества. В настоящее время наблюдается повышенный интерес к данной проблеме в связи с развитием нанотехнологий и их внедрением в различные отрасли промышленности. В предлагаемой работе рассмотрен вопрос об уточнении исходной классической модели динамики Ньютона. В частности, обсуждается методика учета дополнительных степеней свободы, характеризующих вращательные движения двухатомных молекул. Это связано с необходимостью корректного вычисления теплоемкости. Для решения данной задачи предложено добавить в модель молекулярной динамики уравнения для моментов импульса и вращательных скоростей молекул. Для такой расширенной постановки разработан специальный численный алгоритм, обобщающий схему Верле. На основе предложенного алгоритма разработана расчетная программа. С ее помощью вычислена кривая теплоемкости для азота в диапазоне температур 100-400 К при давлении 1 атм. Полученные расчетные данные согласуются с известными данными из справочников.

The present work is devoted to the development and use of supercomputer technology for modeling gas-dynamic processes using molecular dynamics methods. The relevance of the work is associated with the development of nanotechnology for the manufacture of promising nanomaterials and nanocoatings by the method of supersonic cold gasdynamic spraying. The paper proposes to consider gasdynamic processes at the atomic-molecular level. It is proposed to use Newton’s equations for particle dynamics as a mathematical model. The numerical implementation of the model is based on the well-known Verlet scheme. The software implementation of the numerical scheme is adapted for parallel computing on modern supercomputers, including those with a hybrid architecture. To illustrate the developed supercomputer technology, the problem of calculating the parameters of the flow of nitrogen in a microchannel with nickel walls is considered. The conducted computational experiments demonstrated the effectiveness of the developed technology.

In this paper, we consider the problem of modeling viscous incompressible fluid flow using the quasi-hydrodynamic (QHD) system of equations. The use of this approach makes it possible to avoid instability in the pressure calculation when using the classical formulation of the Navier–Stokes equations, which is manifested when using cellular numerical schemes. For the numerical implementation of QHD equations, the finite volume method is used with cell-center approximation. In the case of a two-dimensional problem a square mesh is used. A cubic mesh is used in the case of a three-dimensional problem. Two series of calculations are performed for testing in areas of complex geometry for several Reynolds numbers. The results are compared with the ANSYS CFX software package. The comparison shows the high quality of the numerical simulation results using the QHD system of equations.

This work is devoted to the molecular dynamic calculations of the properties of technical gases, whose study is a traditional problem of physics of matter. At present, there is increased interest in this problem due to the development of nanotechnologies and their introduction in various industries. The gases’ properties required for simulation are expressed as a set of macroparameters, including kinetic coefficients; parameters of the equation of state; and values of kinetic, potential, total, and internal energies. The study was performed for technical gases such as argon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and methane at a pressure of 1 atm and in the temperature range from 100 to 400 K. The obtained calculated data on the macroparameters of gases is in good agreement with the known theoretical estimates and experimental data.

Данная работа посвящена молекулярно-динамическим расчетам свойств технических газов, исследование которых является традиционной проблемой физики вещества. В настоящее время наблюдается повышенный интерес к данной проблеме в связи с развитием нанотехнологий и их внедрением в различные отрасли промышленности. Необходимые для моделирования свойства газа выражаются в виде набора макропараметров, включающих кинетические коэффициенты, параметры уравнения состояния, величины кинетической, потенциальной, полной и внутренней энергий. Исследование выполнено для технических газов: аргон, водород, азот и метан при давлении 1 атм, в диапазоне температур 100-400 К. Полученные расчетные данные по макропараметрам газов хорошо согласуются с известными теоретическими оценками и данными экспериментов.

Рассматривается проблема моделирования потока вязкой несжимаемой жидкости с помощью квазигидродинамической системы уравнений. Использование данного подхода позволяет избежать неустойчивости при расчете давления при использовании классической постановки уравнений Навье-Стокса, проявляющейся при использовании ячеистых численных схем. Для численной реализации КГД уравнений использовался метод конечных объемов по центрам ячеек, в случае двумерной задачи - квадратных, в случае трехмерной задачи - кубических. В качестве тестовых расчетов было проведено две серии расчетов в областях сложной геометрии для нескольких чисел Рейнольдса, а также проведено сравнение результатов с программным пакетом ANSYS CFX. Сравнение показало высокое качество результатов численного моделирования при использовании КГД системы уравнений.

Рассматривается проблема моделирования процессов очистки воздушной среды от мелкодисперсных твердых загрязняющих примесей, кластеризованных в виде наночастиц. Выбранная для исследования технология очистки предполагает применение системы, состоящей из нанофильтров и сорбентов. Оба используемых в ней способа очистки являются в настоящее время весьма востребованными и часто комбинируются в соответствующих устройствах. Первый способ очистки с помощью нанофильтров позволяет получить высокое качество последней. Однако этот способ является дорогостоящим вследствие необходимости частой замены фильтрующих элементов (мембран) и к тому же требует утилизации этих элементов. Второй способ очистки с помощью сорбентов дает относительно низкое качество очистки, однако позволяет проводить последнюю многократно после промывки сорбента специальными жидкостями. Для оптимизации устройств воздушной очистки, использующих нанофильтры и сорбенты, необходимо детальное исследование протекающих в системе очистки процессов. В предлагаемом исследовании рассматривается часть проблемы, связанная с прохождением воздушного потока, содержащего твердые наночастицы загрязнителя, через слой гранулированного сорбента. Для этого разработаны многомасштабная математическая модель, численный алгоритм и параллельная реализация модели на макроскопическом масштабе. Новизна подхода связана с использованием квазигазодинамической модели для описания течения в сорбирующем слое, а также с предложенной многомасштабной постановкой задачи. Предварительные расчеты на основе макромодели показали работоспособность предложенного подхода.

Представлено описание модели, алгоритма и структуры прикладного программного комплекса (кода), предназначенного для моделирования течений в пористой среде, содержащей соединения природных газов (метан и др.) с водой или газовые гидраты. Код «HYDRAT1D» позволяет решать уравнения флюидодинамики в талой зоне и пьезопроводной среде с учетом фазовых переходов. Код “HYDRAT1D” реализован на языке JavaScript и работает в рамках компьютерной архитектуры «клиент-сервер».

A method of numerical modeling based on splitting by physical processes of two-phase fluid transfer in a formation with fractured-porous reservoirs is described. Reservoirs of this type have a natural fracture system and are described by the dual porosity model. A four-block mathematical model of the fluid redistribution between a pore-type matrix and a natural fracturing pattern is proposed and studied. The resulting system is complex and entails a number of difficulties associated with a large number of variables and the absence of important properties of a linearized system of equations, such as self-adjointness and symmetry, which are present in the description of piezoconductive processes. The complete splitting by physical processes is carried out to solve this problem. The resulting split model is differentially equivalent to the discrete initial balance equations of the system (conservation of the mass components of the fluids and the total energy of the system), written in divergent form. This approach is associated with a nonlinear approximation of the grid functions in time, which depends on the fraction of the volume occupied by the fluids in the pores, and is easy to implement.

The paper presents an algorithm for solving the problem of the process of mass transfer of a two-phase fluid in a fractured-porous reservoir in a one-dimensional formulation. The presence of natural fractures in such reservoirs impedes various types of exploration and field development. Fractured-porous reservoirs are characterized by intense exchange fluid flow between fractures and porous blocks. Each system has its own individual set of filtration-capacity parameters, and this fact complicates the problem under consideration. To study the mass transfer of a two-phase fluid in a medium with double porosity, a four-block mathematical model with splitting by physical processes is proposed. The model is described by a system of partial differential equations. The splitting method forms two functional blocks on the water saturation and the piezoconductivity. For the numerical solution of this system, an absolutely stable implicit finite-difference scheme is constructed in the one-dimensional case. On the basis of the proposed difference scheme, pressures and saturations in the fracture system and matrix are obtained.
