Carbon monoxide (CO) is a dangerous gas with no odor, color, or taste and can easily mix with other air around it. This study aims to design and determine the results of measuring CO levels using a drone integrated with an MQ-7 gas sensor and an IoT-based ESP32 nodeMCU by manipulating the time and height of measuring CO levels. The method used is data acquisition in the form of a data retrieval process from the MQ-7 sensor programmed with the ESP32 nodeMCU via the ThingSpeak web. The results of measurements of CO levels in Ketintang, Surabaya air quality in the medium category at 07.00-11.00 WIB and good at 15.00 WIB. Measurement at 07.00 WIB CO levels are higher than at 11.00 WIB and 15.00 WIB. This can occur because the use of motorized vehicles and the process of burning waste in households is denser. Most of these activities are carried out close to the ground so that the higher the altitude in measuring CO levels, the lower the CO levels detected. Other factors that affect CO levels are temperature, wind speed, and weather when taking measurements. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that hours and altitude affect the CO levels produced.

Background: Education on disaster mitigation remains critically underemphasized, with existing pedagogical approaches often falling short in adequately preparing children for the realities of natural disasters. This gap underscores the urgent need for innovative educational tools that can effectively enhance disaster literacy among younger populations. Aim: This study aims to develop and assess an Earthquake E-Book designed to elevate the disaster literacy levels among children, focusing on its validity, practicality, and effectiveness as educational media. Method: Employing a Research and Development (RD) framework, the study navigated through stages of problem identification, design formulation, and implementation, excluding the evaluation phase to concentrate on the developmental process. The implementation employed a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving pretesting, intervention (treatment), and posttesting phases. The e-book's validity was appraised by three expert validators, while its practicality was gauged through student questionnaires, and its effectiveness was measured using the N-Gain test on student learning outcomes. Results: The Earthquake E-Book garnered an average validation score of 85.4%, positioning it within the valid category. Practicality assessments reflected an 85.4% efficiency rating from student feedback. Furthermore, the effectiveness, as indicated by an N-Gain score of 0.74, was classified within the high category, signifying substantial improvements in children's disaster literacy post-intervention. Conclusions: The findings affirm that the Earthquake E-Book stands as a valid, practical, and effective educational tool in bolstering disaster literacy among children. By integrating this digital resource into disaster mitigation education, it is anticipated to significantly contribute to enhancing children's understanding and preparedness for earthquake disasters.

Technological developments that continue to increase provide an impetus for scientists to conduct research, One of them is the field of animal husbandry and instrumentation by making Raspberry Pi-based egg incubators. A device that replicates an incubator by keeping eggs at the right humidity uses a Raspberry Pi microcontroller to incubate the eggs. This research objective is to find out how far the development of the number of international publications using the Google Scholar database and to find out the development map of international research publications based on keywords. Data collection by searching Google Scholar with the keywords "Egg Incubator Raspberry pi", "Egg Incubator IoT" in 2013–2022. Trends in the development of international publications analyzed using software in the form of VOSviewer. From the bibliometric analysis carried out, it was found that the system, egg incubator, Raspberry pi, and IoT continues to dominate research on "Egg incubator Raspberry pi". The research will focus on controlling temperature and humidity which is systematized by IoT-based Android to save time, effort and cost. The research results obtained by Bibliometric analysis are not too dominant so that there is still an opportunity to continue research in literature review and become future innovations.

This study aims to describe the 3D model's online modules effectiveness in the practicing mastery of conceptual knowledge in solar system learning using an instrument which tested 58 7th-grade respondents from one of the junior high schools in Jombang, East Java, Indonesia. The respondents were then divided without randomization into 29 respondents for the experimental group (EG), which studied using 3D models online, and 29 respondents for the control group (CG), which studied using learning resources from student books and learning media in the form of 3D models from the NASA website. The effectiveness is assessed based on the results of the conceptual knowledge test instrument with the CRI method using a quantitative descriptive approach. Based on these results, the 3D models online module in solar system learning cannot be fully effective in the practicing mastery of conceptual knowledge. When examined further, 3D model's online modules are effective in cognitive dimensions C3, learning indicators 1, 2, and 6, and conceptual knowledge sub-types 1. Furthermore, based on research results, learning the solar system using online modules with 3D models is better than using the official NASA website with student books.

The growing demand for energy, especially in urban and densely populated areas, has driven the need for smarter and more efficient approaches to energy resource management. One of the main challenges in energy management is fluctuations in energy demand and production. To overcome this challenge, accurate and careful forecasting of hourly energy fluctuations is required. One method that has proven effective in time series forecasting is using deep learning. The research phase uses the CRISP-DM data mining methodology as a common problem solver for business and research. The scenarios tested in the study used 5 attribute selection scenarios based on correlation values based on target attributes and 2 normalization scenarios. Then, the deep learning model used is Bi-LSTM with hyperparameter tuning grid search. Performance measurement evaluation is performed with MAPE, RMSE, and R2. Based on the tests conducted, it was found that the Bi-LSTM model produced the best MAPE of 7.7256%. RMSE of 0.1234. and R2 of 0.6151 at min-max normalization. In comparison, the results on the z-score normalization are lower with the best MAPE value produced at 10.5525%. RMSE of 0.7627. and R2 of 0.4186.

Project-based Inquiry Science (PjBI-Science) is one of the embodiments of innovative learning designed for students to have abilities like scientists and to experience various investigative methodologies, which include experimentation, modelling, simulation, and data analysis in the fields of earth science, life science, and physical sciences. Not only beneficial for students, but PjBI-Science also facilitates teachers to be able to design detailed learning processes and conduct assessments according to students' thinking skills and abilities, both individually and in groups. This study aims to identify the characteristics and find the benefits of implementing PjBI-Science learning. The research method used is a systematic review with a meta-aggregation method that summarizes the results of research related to PjBI-Science qualitatively. Based on the literature review results to identify the characteristics of the implementation of PjBi-Science, conclusions were obtained regarding the benefits of implementing learning. For students, it can improve the quality of abilities in the natural science field and accommodate the learning needs to optimize thinking skills, while for teachers, it can holistically provide alternative teaching styles in an innovative way and conduct an effective assessment of the activities and cognitive abilities of students.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the scope related to the subject of problem-solving skills based on multiple representation in 2016 – 2020 with 20 documents through bibliometric analysis. The research method used was a literature study through all the articles analyzed in this study. The articles were taken from the Scopus database with sampling in 2003 – 2020, resulting in 29 scientific work data exported in *.ris (RIS) and *CVS formats. Then, those data were processed using VOSviewer and Microsoft Excel. The results of publications in the last five years have increased. Indonesia is the dominant country in publicizing papers about this topic. Institutions from Germany managed to publish most of the documents about multi representation. Meanwhile, Poland is the origin country of the authors with most publications. The visualization of research trends on multi representation resulted in four main clusters: (1) multi representation related to students, representation, and learning processes (2) multi representation as a class (3) multi representation related to the problem (4) multi representation as a model and process. Meanwhile, Indonesian researchers are very active in contributing to this topic, in line with the number of publications by country, namely Indonesia.

This study aims to analyze research trends related to PjBL-STEM topics in 2016-2020 through bibliometric analysis with the Scopus database. Based on the criteria, it obtained 1,169 documents. Microsoft Excel was used to analyze data and VOS viewer as a data visualization. The results showed that PjBL-STEM research is increasing every year. The USA contributes the most research in the world, Indonesia ranks second. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Sebelas Maret, and Universitas Negeri Semarang are among the top affiliates in PjBL-STEM research in the world. Visualizing the trend of PjBL-STEM research in 2016-2020, there are three clusters, namely 1.) PjBL-STEM as a framework, 2.) PjBL-STEM as self-development, and 3.) Effects of PjBL-STEM research. The results of this study can help researchers related to PjBL-STEM research trends in the world and provide direction in further research.

This study aims to use hydrogenic orbitals within an analytic and numeric parameter-free truncated-matrix method to solve the projected Schrödinger equation of some Helium-like ions (3 ≤ Z ≤ 10). We also derived a new analytical expression of the ion ground state energies, which was simple and accurate and improved the accuracy of the analytic calculation, numerically using Mathematica. The standard matrix method was applied, where the wave function of the ions was expanded in a finite number of eigenvectors comprising hydrogenic orbitals. The Hamiltonian of the systems was calculated using the wave function and diagonalized to obtain their ground state energies. The results showed that a simple analytic expression of the ground state energies of He-like ions was successfully derived. Although the analytic expression was derived without involving any variational parameter, it was reasonably accurate with a 0.12% error for Ne8+ ion. From this method, the accuracy of the analytic energies was also numerically improved to 0.10% error for Ne8+ ion. The results clearly showed that the energies obtained using this method were more accurate than the hydrogenic perturbation theory and the uncertainty principle-variational approach. In addition, for Z > 4, our results were more accurate than those from the geometrical model.

Cross-interest is a program that aims to expand and develop students' interests, talents and abilities by selecting subjects outside the specialization program group. The cross-interest program has been implemented for several years in Indonesia, but there is still very little evaluation of the implementation of this program, especially across physics interests. For the implementation of cross-interest physics to be more optimal, research related to cross-interest program evaluation in physics is needed. This study aims to evaluate cross-interest programs in physics and identify obstacles in its implementation hence the solutions can be formulated. This study involved 203 social science students as respondents from schools which implementing cross-interest physics programs. This type of research uses evaluative research with qualitative descriptive methods, where data collection is compiled using questionnaires and interviews which are conducted online. The results of this study indicate that there are still several obstacles in the implementation of cross-interest classes in physics, including the inadequacy of class grouping across interests with student interests, lack of teacher teaching hours, and lack of participation and enthusiasm of cross-interest class students compared to specialization class students. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the cross-interest program in physics is still below expectation. Through the results of this research, it is presented an evaluation material and become a consideration for the relevant parties in charge of implementing the cross-interest physics program subsequently there will be improvements in the implementation of cross-interest physics program purposefully.

In this industrial revolution 4.0 era, professional science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) bachelor must have various skills. One of which is problem-solving skills. The development of problem-solving skills (PSS) is very important in higher education. Students must have PSS that must be improved to become excellent graduates, including physics bachelor candidates. Many physics bachelor candidates lack problem-solving skills. This problem is the basis for developing innovative learning models based online that, by design, can improve the problem-solving skills of physics bachelor candidates in the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness ORNE learning model in improving the problem-solving skills of physics bachelor candidates as an alternative to online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used a true-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design with 58 physics bachelor candidates. Data collected using the problem-solving skills test and then analyzed using the Paired Sample Test, Effect Size, N-gain, and Independent Sample Test. The results showed that the ORNE learning model proved effective in improving physics bachelor candidates' problem-solving skills. This research implies that the ORNE learning model can improve physics bachelor candidates' problem-solving skills as an alternative to online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract: In science learning students should build their own knowledge by discovering concepts through observing and investigating natural phenomena. The limitations media make it difficult for teachers to teach material learning. In the earth material structure students need direct observation because the nature of the material tends to be abstract. Students need to concretize the abstract concept into a concrete concept. Therefore, the purpose of this research to determine attractiveness of emodule media science learning based on multiple intelligences of earth structure material and differences in understanding of concept between control and experimental class that use emodule. This research and development uses R&D with Borg and Gall adapted development model. The subjects of this research were 120 seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sugio. Instruments used was a validation sheet, a questionnaire of elegability and product attractiveness for students, as well as a test sheet. The media development result have valid and suitable for use with average validity 88.30% from material expert, design, and science teacher. The research results obtained media attractiveness value 77.8% . The Z test obtained significance 0.00 so that it can be concluded that learning media is interesting for students. From t test on posttest value, obtained significance 0.00. This means that there are differences in the results of understanding concept of earth structure material between student at control and experimental class.  Keywords: media, emodule, multiple intelligences, the earth structure  Abstrak: Dalam pembelajaran IPA siswa hendaknya membangun pengetahuan mereka sendiri dengan menemukan konsep melalui pengamatan dan penyelidikan fenomena alam. Keterbatasan media menjadikan guru kesulitan dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Pada materi struktur bumi siswa memerlukan pengamatan langsung karena sifat materi tersebut cenderung abstrak. Siswa perlu mengkonkritkan konsep yang abstrak tersebut menjadi konsep konkret. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemenarikan media pembelajaran IPA emodul berbasis multiple intellegences materi struktur bumi dan perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang menggunakan emodul. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini memakai model penelitian R&D dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang telah diadaptasi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 120 siswa kelas tujuh yang ada di SMP Negeri 1 Sugio. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi, angket kelayakan dan kemenarikan produk bagi siswa, serta lembar tes. Hasil pengembangan media memenuhi kriteria valid dan layak digunakan dengan rata-rata tingkat kevalidan 88,30% dari ahli materi, desain, dan guru IPA. Hasil penelitian memperoleh nilai kemenarikan media sebesar 77,8% .Uji Z mendapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,00 sehingga dapat disimpulkan media pembelajaran menarik bagi siswa. Dari uji t terhadap nilai postes didapatkan signifikansi 0,00. Mechanical alloying can be carried out by a method known as friction stir processing, whereby solid Zn particles in a solution are distributed onto an aluminium alloy plate. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of a volume of Zn particles on the mechanical and physical properties of aluminium 1xxx alloy that had been subjected to friction stir processing. The specimens were plates composed of 1xxx series aluminium. A groove, measuring 12 mm in diameter, was pierced to various depths, and the Zn particles in these containers were then subjected to friction stir processing using a pin-less tool with a diameter of 15 mm. The results showed that the highest hardness was found in the uppermost layer of the workpiece, and this gradually decreased with thickness. An increase in the amount of Zn particles caused an increase in material hardness. The highest hardness of 87.1 HV in the friction stir-processed AA1100 was obtained at the highest volume of Zn compared to the hardness of 44.5 HV, which was obtained for the specimen without the addition of Zn.

This study aims to describe the feasibility of the student worksheet based on collaborative creativity to improve creative thinking skills on static fluid material in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This type of research is a type of development research by the ADDIE model with one group pre-test post-test experimental design method. The trial subjects were 107 students from class XI-MIPA 1, XI-MIPA 3, and XI-MIPA 4 in SMAN 1 Sumberrejo. The instruments used were validation instruments, observation instruments for the practicalities of the student worksheet, test instruments, and questionnaires to measure the student worksheet's effectiveness. The results showed that the validity of the student worksheet was included in the very valid category. In terms of the implementation of learning and student activities, the student worksheet practicality criteria are in the excellent category. The student worksheet's effectiveness criteria, based on test results, are in the medium category, and students' responses are very effective. Thus, the student worksheet that has been developed can improve creative thinking skills in learning the physics of static fluid material.

The Indonesian National Qualification Framework in higher education requires universities to develop a curriculum that makes students have superior competence with a variety of skills that are in line with the demands of the 21st century, including Critical thinking skills. The main objective of this research is to analyze the practicality of the OR-IPA learning model, which has been developed by design to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers on the fundamentals of physics courses. The subject of practical observations was a physics lecturer who used the OR-IPA learning model. The observation sheet of the OR-IPA learning model practicality has been declared valid and reliable by the validators. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the OR-IPA learning model to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers was considered practical (3.69). Lecturers and students can use the OR-IPA learning model without significant obstacles. This research implies that the OR-IPA learning model can be an alternative to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers in the fundamentals of physics courses.

Article 11 of Regional Regulation of Riau Province Number 6 of 2012 stated that the corporate social responsibility could be implemented in the fields of education, health, infrastructure, sports and culture, social and religion, environmental preservation, community economic enterprises, empowerment of indigenous peoples, as well as other fields that bring significant impacts on improving the quality of society. This research focuses on two problems namely(1) How is the implementation of corporate social responsibility of PT Asia Forestama Raya in improving the economy of the community based on Regional Regulation of Riau Province Number 6 of 2012? (2) What are the obstacles in the implementation and how are the efforts to overcome these obstacles? This research employed socio-legal research method. The results of this research indicated that PT Asia Forestama Raya did not implement corporate social responsibility to empower the economy of the community in the District of Rumbai Pesisir, Pekanbaru City. Based on the company’s point of view, the obstacles in the implementation were the unstable financial condition of PT Asia Forestama Raya which made them fail to implement a community economic empowerment program for three years. From the point of view of the community, the obstacle was the lack of knowledge regarding Regional Regulation of Riau Province Number 6 of 2012. Further, the government had not implemented adequate supervision of the corporate social responsibility implementation by PT Asia Forestama Raya. Efforts to overcome these obstacles were based on Article 32 of Regional Regulation of Riau Province Number 6 of 2012 which stated that if PT Asia Forestama Raya did not implement corporate social responsibility, then the company may be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of written warnings from the Pekanbaru City Government as well as restrictions on business activities, suspension of business licenses, and revocation of business licenses.

Mind Map is a method or way of taking notes creatively by utilizing the work of the two brains as outlined on paper in the form of pictures, symbols, writing and colors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of Mind Maps in student learning activities in physics subjects and to find out students' abilities in making Mind Maps. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research using questionnaires and interviews as well as the results of high school students' Mind Map products. The number of respondents was 243 students from SMA Negeri 11 Surabaya, SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya, SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya and SMA Wijaya Putra Surabaya. As for the Mind Map product, the researchers collected 123 Mind Maps. The results showed that 93.8% of students knew and understood the Mind Map and 60.5% answered that they never made a Mind Map in physics lessons. It was found that students' mistakes in making Mind Maps were that students still ignored the Mind Map format in the categories of images, colors and branches. So it can be concluded that the use of Mind Maps in student learning activities in physics subjects is still lacking or rarely used and the ability of students' Mind Maps is included in the good category but there are still errors or inappropriate formats in making the Mind Map.

The zonation system is one of the efforts of the Indonesian Government to improve the quality of education services continuously, but the implementation is still considered less useful. Some areas were still grouped into the different zone from the original. Based on this problem, the solution needed for the zonation mapping of each school so that the apparent zonation limit can be resolved. An application that can map schools in an area based on housing for prospective students is a solution that can be considered at this time. This research showed the implementation of Voronoi diagrams to cluster the area based on the school position within Bengkulu City. The system was also capable of mapping the residential of the student address to match the choice for registration in available secondary school and senior high school. The implementation of the system showed a better result for school zonation over Bengkulu City based on web geographic information system (Web GIS). Furthermore, the comparison analysis over the existing system also showed that the performance of the Voronoi diagram for school zonation the method could solve the problem of the overlapping zonation with Radius method. Three hundred fifty students validated this system to show the performance of this method. The result showed that 72.05% of students matched the first choice, while 27.95% of students matched the second choice. This research showed the analysis of the value of this gap appeared due to the student preferences and school capacity factors.

Physical quantities quantization is an essential subject in Quantum Physics. The topic used as a bridge and a starting point of the revolution of physical thinking into the real Quantum Physics. This study aims to determine the application of discussion methods to enhance the learning outcomes of physics education students on the topic of quantization of physical quantities. This research conducted at the Physics Department, Universitas Negeri Surabaya on the subject of Quantum Physics. This research is a Classroom Action Research with research object is students of Physics Education B 2012 and students who programmed Quantum Physics course in academic year 2014/2015. The study conducted with two cycles. In the first cycle, the learning outcomes are 63.6%. The cycle is continued until the learning outcomes more than 75%, that is, in the second cycle is 79.4%. The main difference between cycle 1 and cycle 2 is the presence of scaffolding by lecturers in the second cycle. Scaffolding was given in the form of helping questions so that the students can explain the concept of the material being taught and the discussion process can run better. Kuantisasi besaran fisis merupakan materi penting dalam Fisika kuantum. Topiknya merupakan jembatan dan titik awal revolusi pemikiran Fisis dikenalnya Fisika Kuantum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode diskusi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pendidikan fisika pada materi kuantisasi besaran fisis. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan Fisika Universitas Negeri Surabaya pada matakuliah Fisika Kuantum khususnya materi Kuantisasi Besaran Fisis. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan obyek penelitian mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika B 2012 dan/atau mahasiswa yang memprogam matakuliah Fisika Kuantum pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 2 siklus. Pada siklus pertama, hasil belajar mahasiswa sebesar 63,6%. Siklus dilanjutkan hingga hasil belajar mahasiswa lebih dari 75% yakni pada siklus kedua sebesar 79,4%. Perbedaan utama dari siklus 1 dan siklus 2 adalah adanya scaffolding oleh dosen di siklus kedua. Scaffolding yang diberikan berupa pertanyaan-pertanyaan bantuan agar mahasiswa mampu menjelaskan konsep materi yang diajarkan dan proses diskusi dapat berjalan dengan lebih baik.

The purpose of the research is to see what variables exist in widyaiswara competencies which influence their performance as training participants. This is a quantitative approach with analytical methods in the form of analytical statistics. The analysis technique is multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis shows that not all variables in widyaiswara competencies affect the training participants' performance. Competence that has a direct influence is the competence of systematic presentation, presentation ability, and answering questions. Personality competency and social competence are not influential on the performance of participants.

Fisika merupakan cabang ilmu sains yang mempelajari perilaku alam melalui pengamatan eksperimental dan pengukuran secara kuantitatif. Dalam mempelajari alam tersebut, Fisika menggunakan bahasa matematika untuk memodelkan gejala alam dalam persamaan-persamaan matematis. Dalam mempelajari Fisika, diperlukan kemampuan matematis tertentu sebagai kemampuan awal peserta didik dalam memecahkan permasalahan Fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan studi korelasi antara kemampuan Matematika dengan hasil belajar Fisika peserta didik SMA PGRI Sumberrejo pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Kemampuan Matematika dan hasil belajar Fisika peserta didik tercermin dari nilai raport peserta didik kelas X, XI, dan XII semester genap 2014/2015. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi, diperoleh korelasi yang cukup erat antara kemampuan Matematika dan hasil belajar Fisika

Near the magic angle, strong correlations drive many intriguing phases in twisted bilayer graphene (tBG) including unconventional superconductivity and chern insulation. Whether correlations can tune symmetry breaking phases in tBG at intermediate (≳ 2°) twist angles remains an open fundamental question. Here, using ARPES, we study the effects of many-body interactions and displacement field on the band structure of tBG devices at an intermediate (3°) twist angle. We observe a layer- and doping-dependent renormalization of bands at the K points that is qualitatively consistent with moiré models of the Hartree-Fock interaction. We provide evidence of correlation-enhanced inversion symmetry-breaking, manifested by gaps at the Dirac points that are tunable with doping. These results suggest that electronic interactions play a significant role in the physics of tBG even at intermediate twist angles and present a new pathway toward engineering band structure and symmetry-breaking phases in moiré heterostructures.

Model pembelajaran diskusi menitikberatkan pada keaktifan siswa. Dalam model pembelajaran diskusi, diperlukan kemampuan siswa dalam menyampaikan pendapat dan menghargai pendapat orang lain. Dengan demikian, secara teori, dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model diskusi memerlukan kecerdasan interpersonal yang tinggi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar model diskusi dengan pembelajaran biasa; kecerdasan interpersonal siswa tinggi dan rendah; serta interaksi antara keduanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan control group post-test,yakni menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol kemudian diuji hasil belajar siswa dengan soal formatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran fisika model diskusi dengan pembelajaran biasa; tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa dengan kecerdasan intrapersonal tinggi dan rendah; dan terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran diskusi dengan kecerdasan interpersonal siswa terhadap hasil belajar. Currently, physics education is a science that is still considered abstract by many students and the public. Thus, there is a need for information on the current trends in physics education to adapt to the current situation. Based on the Scopus, the research objective is to explore the ongoing trends in the last ten years and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a bibliometric and bibliometric analysis. The findings show that research related to physics education is dominated by the most developed during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2021) countries Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Journal of Physics Conference Series is the journal that publishes the most publications (Scopus) related to physics education, followed by the AIP Conference Proceeding. Research implication to research, librarian, and policy maker. (1) Research and development need to be carried out in-depth related to the growing trend of physics education so that it can be published in Scopus; (2) Cooperation and collaboration between other universities to increase publications at the international level; and (3) The need for continuous research to follow current trends.

Improving students' writing skill at higher education level in Indonesia through using technology becomes a primary attention given by the researchers. Blog-Assisted Language Learning (BALL) is one of the best alternative medium of improving students' writing skill. This BALL is never used by the lecturers who are teaching writing skill to students at State Islamic University of Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to investigate if there is a significant different between students who are taught by using Bog-Assisted Language Learning (BALL) and without in term of students' writing skill at State Islamic University of Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Additionally, this study also investigates the students' response toward the use of BALL in teaching and learning process of writing skill. The study involved 40 third year English students of the State Islamic University of Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh. The study employed quantitative method in collecting the data through pre-and post-writing tests and a set of questionnaire for both groups; experiment and control. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistic. The results showed that the use of BALL in teaching writing improved significantly rather than students who were taught without using BALL. In addition, the majority of students' response toward the implementation of BALL in teaching writing skill were positive. Therefore, the use of BALL in teaching and learning writing at English Department students of State Islamic University of Ar-Raniry can improve students' writing skill.
