The γ-decay from $T = \frac{3}{2}$ isobaric analog levels was studied in odd-mass nucleus 23Na. The investigations were performed using the proton beam at Ep = 1623, 1721, 1803 and 1835 keV. It was shown that during γ-decay, mainly low-lying levels of 23Na are populated; among these levels, we could isolate rotational bands with $K^\pi =\frac{3}{2}^+$ and $K^\pi =\frac{1}{2}^+$, based on the seventh $[211\ \frac{3}{2}]$ and ninth $[211\ \frac{1}{2}]$ orbits of the Nilsson scheme, respectively. The intensities of the M1 transitions were compared with the results of the calculations within the Nilsson model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Study on health status of 156 Vietnamese military pilots on Russian modern jet planes (Su-22, Su-27, Su-30, MiG-21B). The results showed that unprofitable factors in working environment (acceleration, radiation, high temperature, humidity, noise) have an impact on the health of pilots during the flight, leading to deterioration of professional health and physiological functions (cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous system) and obesity of pilots after 35 years old. Basing on the studies, we suggested some measures for health protecting, safety of flight and prolonging flight-activity of pilots (training in decompression chamber, vestibular training) and balance in food ration for prevention of professional diseases.

Seventy-two M. tuberculosis strains isolated from patients in different regions of East Siberia were studied by MIRU-VNTR repeats. Phylogenetic trees of relationship between the studied strains and of those from other world regions were investigated by phylogenetic analysis, i.e. NJ, UPGMA and ML. Phylogenetic evidence is provided for the prevalence of Beijing and Beijing-like strains (71%) in the above region. Besides, there was found a group of strains (115%) with the robust genotype which was given the name of ASU (African-Siberian-Ural). A linkage between MIRU10 (5-10 repeat) and MIRU26 (single repeat) was established as a predominant ASU sign. According to preliminary results, apart from Siberia, ASU strains can be encountered in the Urals and Africa (Tanzania, Kilimanjaro genotype). Twenty-four antibiotic-resistant and sensitive strains of M. tuberculosis isolated from different territories of the Irkutsk region (East Siberia) were studied using PCR genotyping by enterobacterial repetitive intergeneric consensus (ERIC). Evolution relationships are illustrated by phylogenetic trees as a result of analysis by UPGMA and ML approaches. It was found that the studied samples belonged to two genetically different groups, both of which included sensitive and resistant strains. The sensitivity of the method was calculated by the Hunter-Gaston index. Based on these data, a probable pattern of emergence and propagation of antibiotic-resistant forms of tuberculosis in the studied region is discussed.

Computer system with IR imager created at the Central Institute for Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases of the USSR Ministry of Health, automates and simplifies the thermography procedure, permits a statistical analysis of the image, this making possible wide use of this method for examination of patients.
