The application of fluid flow through a rotating disk in a solar thermal power plant can help in increasing energy production, reduce costs, and improve the overall efficiency of the system. The concentrated solar power (CSP) technology can help in assisting solar energy for sustainable power generation. This work explores the heat transfer assessment of magnetized tangent hyperbolic fluid flowing over a porous rotating disk under the effects of thermal radiation, convective heating, Ohmic heating and viscous dissipation. The solution of transformed ODEs is obtained by the Legendre wavelet collocation method (LWCM). To visualize the impact of acting variables, the results are portrayed by graphs and tables. From the outcomes, it is noted that the rate of heat transfer is enhanced up to 84.79% with an increase in radiation parameter. Moreover, the radial velocity enhances as the rotation parameter is accelerated. The dual behavior in temperature outlines is obtained due to escalated values of the porosity parameter. In this research, the influences of quadratic Boussinesq approximation and quadratic thermal radiation on the heat transfer analysis of magnetized Sisko nanofluid flow with Cattaneo–Christov heat flux through stretching surfaces are studied. The formulated mathematical model is solved by the finite difference technique, and heat transfer rate and skin friction coefficients are computed for acting parameters, i.e., magnetic field, Eckert number, Forchheimer parameter, thermal relaxation parameter, radiation parameter, porosity parameter and Biot number. For sensitivity analysis, the response surface method (RSM) with a face-centered central composite design is utilized. The RSM is elucidated by applying nonlinear regression, analysis of variance and goodness of fit. The results indicate that the friction coefficient and Nusselt number have positive sensitivities for the Forchheimer parameter. The heat transfer rate decreases with an increase in magnetic field, Biot number and thermal relaxation parameter values for shear thickening (n > 1) and shear thinning (n < 1). Further for n < 1, a one unit increase in A1 leads to a 33% drop in SFC and 48% in LNN; and an increase of 8 units in Fr leads to a 67.18% rise in LNN. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this work, the Cattaneo–Christov double diffusion model is used to analyze the three-dimensional boundary layer flow of an upper-convected Maxwell fluid flowing over a bi-directional stretching surface. The model assumes that the fluid's diffusivity is concentration-dependent, whereas dynamic viscosity and thermal conductivity are temperature-dependent; and the model takes into account the influence of the magnetic field of uniform strength. The problem is formulated using the conservation rules of mass, momentum, and energy as well as the boundary layer approximation. The resulting nonlinear system is then numerically solved using the bvp4c procedure in MATLAB. The obtained results are set forth graphically to illustrate the variations of different parameters. It is contemplated that the increase in thermal relaxation parameter results in a drop in fluid temperature while there is an enhancement in the concentration profile. Also, the temperature field has a direct relationship with the temperature-dependent viscosity. Recent advancements in nanofluid technology have emphasized the potential of ternary hybrid nanofluids (THNFs) to significantly enhance thermal and hydrodynamic properties. The implementation of a wavy sinusoidal cylinder is proposed as a novel approach to optimize heat transfer in a variety of engineering applications. This study focuses on analysing the flow and thermal behaviour of TiO2-Al2O3-MoS2/Kerosene oil a THNF around a circular cylinder with a sinusoidal radius, demonstrating enhanced heat conduction capabilities compared to conventional hybrid nanofluids. The governing equations, formulated as partial differential equations, are solved using the bvp4c solver. The study reveals that the shape of nanoparticles plays a crucial role in heat transfer efficiency. Specifically, when the solid volume fraction increases from 1% to 3%, brick-shaped particles exhibit the lowest heat transfer enhancement of 25.80%, while blade-shaped particles achieve the highest enhancement of 68.24%. Additionally, the heat transfer coefficient improves from 1.5% to 1.8% across different nanoparticle shapes under varying dissipation parameters. Similar trends are observed in the reduction of drag force with changes in the velocity slip parameter. These findings underscore the significant impact of nanoparticle shape and volume fraction on the thermal performance of THNFs, offering valuable insights for optimizing heat transfer systems in engineering applications. The theme of this model is to examine the characteristics of heat and mass transfer flow through cone along with volumetric heat generation, variable viscosity, magnetic field and higher-order chemical reaction utilizing SWCNT–Ag/H2O hybrid nanofluid. The transformed partial differential equations are solved by shooting scheme. The numerical outcomes of physical quantities are revealed by graphs and tables. The local Nusselt number and Sherwood number are displayed with the support of bar diagram. Abstract This model investigates the irreversibility and heat transfer assessment of MHD induced Darcy-Forchheimer flow of Casson hybrid nanofluid through cone and wedge regime. A mathematical model is established to describe the flow behavior of the hybrid nanofluid under the effects of significant physical parameters. Numerical simulation of the model has been done through bvp4c solver. A comparative analysis for the velocity field between mono nanofluid (Sodium Alginate based MoS2 nanofluid) and hybrid nanofluid (Sodium Alginate based MoS2-GO nanofluid) have been presented. Another comparative analysis for isotherms for Cone and Wedge regimes is also done. In the results, various key parameters like magnetic field strength, Casson fluid parameter, the Forchheimer parameter, and the Brinkman number are taken into consideration. Findings demonstrate that the magnetic field and Forchheimer term significantly affects the irreversibility and heat transfer behavior of the Casson hybrid nanofluid through the cone and wedge regime. The importance of non-Newtonian fluid (Casson fluid) in industry is increasingly appreciated. However, little is known about the flow rheology of Casson fluid flowing over a Riga plate. Thus, the purpose of this investigation is to examine the nature of entropy generation (EG) and heat transfer (HT) on Casson hybrid nanofluid flow past a Riga plate by considering the influences of magnetic field and thermal radiation. The Hamilton–Crosser (Model 1) and Xue model (Model 2) of thermal conductivity are incorporated for Casson hybrid nanofluid. The governing equations are solved by numerical methods i.e., bvp4c and shooting techniques. In the current framework, the comparative patterns for both models of temperature, velocities, EG and Bejan number are depicted due to the existing parameters. The domain of the pertinent parameters is taken as thermal radiation, 4 ≤ R a ≤ 7 ; stretching parameter, 0. 6 ≤ λ ≤ 1 ; Casson factor, 0. 5 ≤ δ ≤ 2 ; rotation parameter, 1 ≤ ℜ t ≤ 4 and Hartmann number, 2 ≤ H a ≤ 1 1. The outcomes show that the rise in volume fraction and thermal conductivity profile of Xue model (Model 2) is better than Hamilton–Crosser model (Model 1). Moreover, EG profiles are escalated with augmentation in values of Hartmann number and stretching parameter for both models. The results of the study are useful for predicting the rheology of right fluid, while it also assists in safeguarding the boundary layer (BL) separation, along with establishing a parallel force to the surface in assisting the domain of science and technology. Mathematical model addressing the three-dimensional flow of Casson hybrid nanofluid over a Riga plate subject to viscous dissipation and linear thermal radiation was investigated. This investigation includes a three-dimensional Darcy–Forchheimer flow model and the heat transfer phenomenon of H2O-CNTs nanofluid for a two-way stretchable surface. Xue's proposed thermal conductivity model is employed. The numerical analysis scheme is applied to solve the transformed PDEs. The outline of velocities, temperature, surface drag forces and Nusselt number against relevant variables are portrayed. From this study, it has been noted that with an increase in Eckert numbers along both directions, two patterns were obtained for temperature curves, the initial temperature outlines increased and after that they decreased. In this article, the combined impact of thermal radiation and suction/blowing on the MHD flow of Cu-Ag/H2O-C2H6O2 hybrid nanofluid through a stretchable surface in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium is considered. The Cartesian coordinate system and boundary layer approximation are used in the mathematical modeling of governing equations. By using suitable transformation, the governing expressions are changed into the non-dimensional forms, which are solved employing Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. The physical significance of relatable parameters on flow and thermal fields are analyzed through graphs. The key outcomes include that velocity diminished for the case of suction and absence of suction/injection region, on raising the values of Forchhiemer, magnetic and porosity parameters.
