International audience; Environmental contextThe molecular organisation of humic substances is key to understanding various natural and engineered processes, such as metal speciation and bioavailability. Two main models have been proposed: polymeric organisation and supramolecular organisation. A physicochemical approach, based on the interaction of humic acid with increasing amounts of cationic surfactants, leads to a sequence of molecular structures that provides support to the supramolecular view of humic organisation. AbstractThe structural organisation of extracted humic matter, polymeric or supramolecular, has been a long-standing controversial issue. In this paper, we show that the interaction between a reference humic material, the Suwannee River Humic Acid (SRHA), and a homologous series of cationic surfactants (n-alkyl trimethyl ammonium chloride) provides key insights to resolve the controversy. By combining measurements of turbidity, electrophoretic mobility, surface tension and cryogenic transmission electron microscopy, we show that: (i) the binding of cationic surfactant to the anionic humic acid is initially triggered by electrostatic interactions; (ii) the contrasting evolution of turbidity–surfactant concentration curves implies that the surfactant alkyl chain interacts with the hydrophobic moieties of humic matter from very low concentrations of surfactant; (iii) a drastic restructuring of humic matter occurs on surfactant binding, which brings out supplementary anionic humic sites; (iv) in the presence of C12 cationic surfactant, SRHA spontaneously forms stable nanoscale unilamellar vesicles, which, in addition to the high surface activity of complexes, could be of interest in the remediation of oil-contaminated environments; (v) the sequence of molecular structures obtained from SRHA with increasing amounts of C12-cationic surfactant – humic-rich vesicles, aggregates, surfactant-rich vesicles – bears striking similarities with the phase behaviour of aqueous mixtures of anionic and cationic surfactants, thus supporting the supramolecular view of humic structure.

International audience; Intestinal stem cells (ISC) are crucial players in colon epithelium physiology. The accurate control of their auto-renewal, proliferation and differentiation capacities provides a constant flow of regeneration, maintaining the epithelial intestinal barrier integrity. Under stress conditions, colon epithelium homeostasis in disrupted, evolving towards pathologies such as inflammatory bowel diseases or colorectal cancer. A specific environment, namely the ISC niche constituted by the surrounding mesenchymal stem cells, the factors they secrete and the extracellular matrix (ECM), tightly controls ISC homeostasis. Colon ECM exerts physical constraint on the enclosed stem cells through peculiar topography, stiffness and deformability. However, little is known on the molecular and cellular events involved in ECM regulation of the ISC phenotype and fate. To address this question, combining accurately reproduced colon ECM mechanical parameters to primary ISC cultures such as organoids is an appropriated approach. Here, we review colon ECM physical properties at physiological and pathological states and their bioengineered in vitro reproduction applications to ISC studies.

International audience; Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi greatly improve mineral uptake by host plants in nutrient-depleted soil and can intracellularly colonize root cortex cells in the vast majority of higher plants. However, AM fungi possess common fungal cell wall components such as chitin that can be recognized by plant chitin receptors to trigger immune responses, raising the question as to how AM fungi effectively evade chitin-triggered immune responses during symbiosis. In this study, we characterize a secreted lysin motif (LysM) effector identified from the model AM fungal species Rhizophagus irregularis, called RiSLM. RiSLM is one of the highest expressed effector proteins in intraradical mycelium during the symbiosis. In vitro binding assays show that RiSLM binds chitin-oligosaccharides and can protect fungal cell walls from chitinases. Moreover, RiSLM efficiently interferes with chitin-triggered immune responses, such as defence gene induction and reactive oxygen species production in Medicago truncatula. Although RiSLM also binds to symbiotic (lipo)chitooligosaccharides it does not interfere significantly with symbiotic signalling in Medicago. Host-induced gene silencing of RiSLM greatly reduces fungal colonization levels. Taken together, our results reveal a key role for AM fungal LysM effectors to subvert chitin-triggered immunity in symbiosis, pointing to a common role for LysM effectors in both symbiotic and pathogenic fungi.

In the field of Earth remote sensing, the blind methods for unmixing hyperspectral (HS) images aim at estimating the spectra of the surface materials present in the image and their abundances in each pixel. Most of the state-of-the-art unmixing methods use assumptions which are not necessarily fulfilled by real data. For example, they often assume the presence of at least one pure pixel for each material or the knowledge of a set of spectra that are quite close to the one seeked for their initialization. These unmixing methods then present limitations. The possibility of using a panchromatic (PAN) image co-registered with a HS image may reduce some of these limitations.In this work, such a HS-PAN unmixing method is developed in the context of the HYPXIM/HYPEX-2 space mission which would ship a HS sensor with an 8 m Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) and a 2 m GSD PAN camera.We first studied different ways of using the PAN image, in particular the computation of local statistics. A heterogeneity criterion computed on the PAN image and tested on two real images has proved to be able to detect pure HS pixels. With this result, a first unmixing method called Heterogeneity-Based Endmember Extraction (HBEE) has been developed. It allows one to estimate spectra (called endmembers) represented by pure HS pixels by detecting all the pure HS pixels and then classifying them. A first set of endmembers is thus extracted.HBEE’s hypothesis does not allow one to estimate all the endmembers from the image. To tackle this problem, we have developed a second unmixing method that aims at estimating the remaining endmembers. This method, called Local Constrained Non-negative Matrix Factorisation (LCNMF), is iterative and local. At each iteration, it computes a reconstruction error map between the original HS image and the one rebuilt with the endmembers estimated by HBEE and LCNMF at the previous iteration. Then, it detects the most poorly rebuilt area and estimates a new endmember in this area.The sensitivity of the performances of the HBEE-LCNMF method with respect to its parameters has been evaluated for synthetic data as well as real data for which a precise groundtruth is available. This study showed that our method correctly estimates the endmembers as well as their number. It also showed that the performance of our method is greatly influenced by the presence of shadows. A set of default parameter values has also been derived from this study.Finally, the performances of our method and of a selection of state-of-the-art methods have been compared. For synthetic data, HBEE-LCNMF yields the best performance. Our method provides equivalent performance compared to the other methods when applied to real data containing less than about ten materials. However, its performance decrease faster than that of most other methods when the image size increases.The use of HBEE-LCNMF is then suitable for medium-size images containing less than about ten materials. One of the perspectives of this work is to divide large images into smaller regions and apply the method to each of them.; Cette thèse s'articule autour du démélange spectral sur des images d'observation de la Terre. La problématique est d'estimer de manière aveugle les spectres en réflectance ainsi que les abondances des matériaux purs présents dans une image hyperspectrale (HS) dont chaque pixel contient la contribution spectrale d’un ou de plusieurs de ces matériaux. La plupart des méthodes de démélange de la littérature se fondent sur des hypothèses qui ne sont pas nécessairement vérifiées sur des images réelles, par exemple la présence d’un pixel pur pour chaque matériau, ou la connaissance d’un jeu de spectres initial très proche de celui recherché. Elles présentent donc des limitations. La possibilité de coupler une image HS avec une image panchromatique (PAN) est une opportunité pour réduire certaines de ces limitations.L’application visée pour une telle méthode de démélange HS-PAN est la mission spatiale HYPXIM/HYPEX-2, qui prévoit d’embarquer une caméra HS de résolution spatiale limitée (de l’ordre de 8 m) ainsi qu'une caméra PAN de résolution spatiale plus fine (de l’ordre de 2 m). Nous avons tout d'abord étudié les différentes possibilités d'utilisation de l’image PAN, notamment aux travers de ses statistiques locales. Nous avons montré que, sur deux jeux de données réelles, il est possible de détecter des pixels purs sur l’image HS à l'aide d'un critère d'hétérogénéité calculé sur l'image PAN. Une première méthode de démélange spectral, nommée Heterogeneity-Based Endmember Extraction (HBEE), a alors été développée. Elle permet d'estimer les spectres des matériaux représentés par des pixels purs dans l'image, en s'appuyant sur une étape de détection des pixels purs suivie d'une étape de classification. L'hypothèse que pose HBEE ne permet pas d’estimer tous les spectres représentant les matériaux purs présents dans l’image (appelés pôles de mélange). Nous avons donc développé une méthode d'estimation des spectres des matériaux qui ne sont pas représentés par des pixels purs. Cette méthode, baptisée Local Constrained Non-negative Matrix Factorisation (LCNMF), est itérative et locale. A chaque itération, elle calcule la carte de l'erreur de reconstruction entre l'image HS originale et l'image reconstruite avec le jeu de pôles de mélange estimés par HBEE et par LCNMF jusqu’à l’itération précédente, puis elle détecte la zone la plus mal reconstruite et y estime le pôle de mélange inconnu, supposé unique sur cette zone.La sensibilité des performances de HBEE-LCNMF à ses paramètres ainsi que son comportement ont été évalués sur données synthétiques, puis sur des données réelles dont la vérité terrain est maîtrisée. Cette étude a montré les avantages de la méthode lorsque les hypothèses posées sont vérifiées, notamment sa capacité à estimer correctement les pôles de mélange ainsi que leur nombre. Elle a aussi mis en évidence les limites de la méthode, en particulier en présence d’ombre. Des valeurs de paramètres par défaut ont ainsi été définies. Enfin, les performances de HBEE-LCNMF ont été comparées à celles d'une sélection de méthodes de l'état de l'art du démélange spectral. Sur données synthétiques, HBEE-LCNMF produit les meilleures performances. Sur des images réelles contenant moins d’une dizaine de matériaux, les performances de la méthode développée sont équivalentes à ou meilleures que celles des autres méthodes. Mais, les performances de HBEE-LCNMF se dégradent plus rapidement que celles des autres méthodes lorsque la taille des images augmente.L’utilisation de la méthode HBEE-LCNMF est donc recommandé dans le traitement d'images de taille limitée et contenant moins d'une dizaine de matériaux purs. Une des perspectives de ce travail est d’appliquer notre méthode sur une image de grande taille qui aura été préalablement découpée en plusieurs régions de taille réduite.

The study was conducted according to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki, and approved by the Ethics Committee Sciences et Santé Animale n°115 (protocol code COVIFEL approved on 1 September 2020, registered under SSA_2020_010).; International audience; Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), responsible for COVID-19 in people, has been detected in companion animals on rare occasions. A limited number of large-scale studies have investigated the exposure of companion animals to SARS-CoV-2. The objective of this prospective study was to estimate seroprevalence in privately owned dogs and cats presented in veterinary clinics in different French regions and to test the hypothesis that the occurrence of an episode of COVID-19 in the household and close contact with the owner would increase the chances of the animals being seropositive. One hundred and sixty-five dogs and 143 cats were blood-sampled between March 2020 and December 2021. Neutralizing SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were detected in 8.4% of cats (12/143) and 5.4% of dogs (9/165). Seven animals (three dogs and four cats) were seropositive in the absence of an episode of COVID-19 in the household. Despite not being statistically significant (chi-square test, p-value = 0.55), our data may suggest that the occurrence of an episode of COVID-19 in the household could increase the risk of animal seropositivity (odds ratio = 1.38; 95% confidence interval = 0.55-3.77). This survey indirectly shows that SARS-CoV-2 circulates in canine and feline populations, but its circulation appears to be too low for pets to act as a significant viral reservoir.

This thesis examines the extension of the Spectral Difference (SD) method on unstructured hybrid grids involving simplex cells (triangles, tetrahedra) and prismatic elements. The Spectral Difference method is part of high-order spectral discontinuous numerical methods. These methods rely on piecewise continuous polynomial approximation to obtain high-order accuracy with a good parallel efficiency. The standard SD scheme is first presented in the one-dimensional case and then for tensor-product elements (quadrangles and hexahedra). The treatment of simplex cells using Raviart-Thomas elements is detailed for triangles (in 2D) and tetrahedra (in 3D), followed by the implementation for prismatic elements. The linear stability of the Spectral Difference method using Raviart-Thomas elements (SDRT) is studied on triangles and tetrahedra. The SDRT scheme stability is strongly dependent on the interior flux points location. On triangles, the SDRT implementation based on interior flux points located at Williams-Shunn-Jameson quadrature points is found stable up to the fourth-order of accuracy but shown as spatially unstable for higher orders. Nevertheless, it is shown that this implementation can be stabilized for fifth- and sixth-order schemes using suitable temporal integration schemes. This approach being submitted to strict conditions, an optimization of the interior flux points location is conducted to determine spatially stable SDRT formulations for orders higher than four. The optimization process leads to spatially stable schemes up to the sixth-order of accuracy. Finally, the stability analysis on tetrahedra proves that the SDRT scheme based on the interior flux points located at Shunn-Ham quadrature points is stable up to the third-order. The SD/SDRT numerical method is validated on several academic cases for first and second-order Partial Differential Equations (linear advection equation, Euler equations, Navier-Stokes equations). Both proposed implementations (based either on Williams-Shunn-Jameson quadrature points or optimization points) are used. Numerical experiments involve grids composed of quadratic triangles, linear tetrahedral elements as well as 2D hybrid meshes.; Cette thèse analyse l'extension de la méthode des Différences Spectrales (SD) aux maillages hybrides non-structurés composés de cellules de type simplex (triangles, tétraèdres) et aux prismes. La méthode SD fait partie des méthodes numériques spectrales discontinues d'ordre élevé. Ces méthodes s'appuient sur une approximation polynomiale continue par morceaux pour obtenir une précision d'ordre élevé tout en maintenant une bonne efficacité en parallèle. Le schéma des Différences Spectrales standard est d'abord présenté dans le cas à une dimension puis pour les éléments de type produit tensoriel (quadrilatères et hexaèdres). Le traitement des cellules de type simplex, basé sur les éléments de Raviart-Thomas, est détaillé pour les triangles (2D) et les tétraèdres (3D), suivi de l'implémentation de la méthode sur prismes.La stabilité linéaire de la méthode des Différences Spectrales basée sur les éléments de Raviart-Thomas (SDRT) est étudiée sur triangles et sur tétraèdres. La stabilité du schéma SDRT dépend en particulier de la position des points flux intérieurs. Dans le cas des triangles, l’implémentation SDRT basée sur les points flux intérieurs placés selon la quadrature de Williams-Shunn-Jameson est montrée comme étant stable jusqu'au quatrième ordre de précision, mais spatialement instable pour des ordres plus élevés. Néanmoins, il est montré que cette implémentation peut être stabilisée pour les schémas du cinquième et sixième ordres en utilisant un schéma d'intégration temporel adéquat. Cette solution étant soumise à des conditions contraignantes, une optimisation de la position des points flux intérieurs est conduite de façon à déterminer une formulation SDRT spatialement stable pour des ordres de précision supérieurs à quatre. Le processus d'optimisation permet d’obtenir des schémas spatialement stables jusqu’au sixième ordre de précision. Enfin, l'analyse de stabilité sur tétraèdres démontre que le schéma SDRT basé sur des points flux intérieurs placés selon la quadrature de Shunn-Ham est stable jusqu'au troisième ordre.La méthode numérique SD/SDRT est validée sur plusieurs cas académiques pour les Équations aux Dérivées Partielles d'ordre un (équation d'advection linéaire, équations d'Euler) et deux (équations de Navier-Stokes). Les deux implémentations SDRT proposées (basées sur les points de quadrature de Williams-Shunn-Jameson ou sur les points d'optimisation) sont utilisées. Les cas de validation numérique impliquent des maillages composés de triangles quadratiques, de tétraèdres linéaires ainsi que de maillages hybrides 2D.

International audience; Continuous Time Markov Chains, Hawkes processes and many other interesting processes can be described as solution of stochastic differential equations driven by Poisson measures. Previous works, using the Stein's method, give the convergence rate of a sequence of renormalized Poisson measures towards the Brownian motion in several distances, constructed on the model of the Kantorovitch-Rubinstein (or Wasserstein-1) distance. We show that many operations (like time change, convolution) on continuous functions are Lipschitz continuous to extend these quantified convergences to diffuse limits of Markov processes and long-time behavior of Hawkes processes.

In order to anticipate potential thermal issues associated with the ejection of high temperature exhaust gases by helicopter engines, rotorcraft manufacturers rely on the increasing use of numerical simulations. However, the simulation of exhaust gases trajectory and mixing is complex and far from intuitive. In particular, it requires to correctly reproduce three-dimensional and unsteady physical mechanisms resulting from the interaction between the hot jet ejected by the engine and the externalflow composed of the relative wind, the rotor downwash and a potential ground effect. Since the jet and the external flow are generally not oriented along the same directions, the resulting flow can be assimilated to a jet in crossflow configuration. In this context, the objective of this thesis was to propose simulation methodologies allowing to correctly reproduce dynamics and turbulent mixing of jets in crossflow representatives of an helicopter application (high temperature levels and jet lifted from the wall). First, a test campaign was carried out in ONERA’s F2 wind tunnel.The objective was to build a detailed experimental database for jets in crossflow representatives of an helicopter application. This experimental database was then used to evaluate the capability of several RANS turbulence models to reproduce the dynamics and thermal aspects of this kind of flow. The use of more advanced RANS models for the turbulent heat flux was also investigated. On the other hand, scale-resolving simulations SAS-SST and LES were performed and compared to the experimental data. In particular, the analysis of the resolved turbulent heat flux allowed to assess the validity of the GDH and GGDH models for this kind of flow. Finally, a SAS-SST simulation was carried out on an industrial configuration based on a helicopter mock-up., Afin d’anticiper de potentiels problèmes thermiques liés à l’éjection de gaz d’échappements à haute température par les moteurs hélicoptères, les industriels ont de plus en plus recours à la simulation numérique. La simulation de la trajectoire et du mélange des gaz d’échappement est cependant complexe et peu intuitive. Elle implique notamment de reproduire correctement les mécanismes physiques tridimensionnels et instationnaires résultant de l’interaction entre le jet chaud issu des moteurs et l’écoulement externe composé du vent relatif, du souffle rotor et d’un potentiel effet de sol. Le jet et l’écoulement externe n’étant généralement pas orientés selon les mêmes directions, l’écoulement résultant peut être assimilé à un écoulement de type jet débouchant. Dans ce contexte, l’objectif de cette thèse était de proposer des méthodologies de simulation permettant de restituer le mélange et la dynamique de l’écoulement pour des jets débouchants représentatifs d’une application hélicoptère (fort niveaux de température et jet décollé de la paroi).Dans un premier temps, une campagne d’essais a été réalisée dans la soufflerie F2 de l’ONERA. L’objectif était de constituer une base de données expérimentale détaillée pour des jets débouchants représentatifs d’une application hélicoptère. Cette base de données expérimentale a alors été utilisée afin d’évaluer la capacité de plusieurs modélisations RANS à restituer les aspects dynamique et thermique de ce type l’écoulement. L’utilisation de modélisations RANS plus avancées pour le flux de chaleur turbulent a également été étudié. D’autre part, des simulations aux échelles résolues SAS-SST et LES ont été conduites et comparées aux données expérimentales. L’analyse du flux de chaleur turbulent résolu a notamment permis d’évaluer la validité des modèles GDH et GGDH pour ce type d’écoulement. Finalement, une simulation SAS-SST a été réalisée sur une configuration industrielle basée sur une maquette d’hélicoptère.

International audience; Small plant signalling peptides play key roles in plant development and in plant–microbe interactions. The plant CLAVATA3 (CLV3)/ENDOSPERM SURROUNDING REGION (ESR) (CLE) peptides have been shown to orchestrate shoot meristem differentiation and to be involved in root growth and vascular development (Yamaguchi et al., 2016). CLE peptides have also been implicated in symbiosis and parasitism. Intriguingly, plant-parasitic nematodes (PPNs) (Mitchum et al., 2012; Gheysen & Mitchum, 2019), endomycorrhizal fungi (Le Marquer et al., 2019), and other fungi and bacteria (Ronald & Joe, 2018) have been shown to secrete molecules mimicking plant peptides within plant roots, to promote infection. The soybean cyst nematode (CN) Heterodera glycines produces CLE propeptides that are delivered to the cytoplasm of plant cells, but ultimately function in the apoplast, consistent with their proposed role as ligand mimics of plant CLE peptides (Wang et al., 2010). A cryptic endoplasmic reticulum (ER) translocation signal has been identified in the variable domain (VD) of HgCLE2, but the precise translocation motif responsible for directing the CLE peptide to the apoplast has not been deciphered (Wang et al., 2010). In this issue of New Phytologist, Wang et al. (2021; pp. 563–574) present very interesting new data explaining how PPN peptide effectors exploit a conserved host post-translational mechanism of trafficking through the ER to the apoplast, using a specific translocation signal: the variable Domain I translocation signal (VDIT) (Fig. 1a). This discovery reminds us that studies of the molecular dialogue between plants and micro- or macro-organisms may improve our understanding of fundamental plant cellular processes, in this case, the protein secretion system. Wang et al. (2021) obtained functional evidence, by assessing the secretion of CLV3 or avirulence AVR9 peptides fused to different full-length or truncated versions of nematode CLEs, to identify the minimal motif required for the ER translocation and secretion of the injected propeptide. They then used an elegant split-GFP approach to validate the passage of the effector from the cytoplasm to the ER, Golgi apparatus and, finally, the extracellular space.

Running a reliability analysis on engineering problems involving complex numerical models can be computationally very expensive, requiring advanced simulation methods to reduce the overall numerical cost. Gaussian process based active learning approaches for reliability analysis are thus a way to strongly decrease the computational time by reducing the number of calls to the expensive numerical model while maintaining a sufficiently accurate estimation of the probability of failure. They involve a learning phase that consists in building a Gaussian process approximation of the performance function. Then, the failure probability estimation can typically be obtained by a classification of a sample population evaluated on the final surrogate model. Hence, two sources of uncertainty that are impacting the failure probability estimator can be identified: the metamodel approximation and the sampling variability. In this PhD thesis project, we propose a methodology to quantify the sensitivity of the failure probability estimator to these two uncertainty sources. This analysis is then integrated into an active learning algorithm in order to focus the enrichment on the reduction of the major source of uncertainty. It also allows to quantify and control the global error associated to the probability estimation and thus to define a stopping criterion for the algorithm. This approach is extended to tackle rare events probability estimation problems. Another way to reduce the numerical cost of reliability analyses that is studied in this thesis is related to model order reduction techniques. We propose a coupling between active learning approaches and model order reduction. More precisely, we set an adaptive methodology that allows to choose, on the basis of a coupling criterion, if a reduced solution can be used instead of the whole numerical model to evaluate the performance function.; Les analyses de fiabilité sur des problèmes d'ingénierie complexes impliquent souvent des temps de calcul très élevés et requièrent l'utilisation de méthodes numériques avancées.L'estimation de la probabilité de défaillance par des approches d'apprentissage actif de processus gaussiens est une voie possible pour fortement réduire les temps de calcul. Elles consistent en le classement d'une population d'échantillons à partir du modèle de processus gaussien construit. Ainsi, deux sources d'incertitude ont une influence sur l'estimateur de la probabilité de défaillance : l'approximation par métamodèle et la variabilité de l'échantillonnage. Dans ces travaux de thèse, nous proposons une méthodologie pour quantifier la sensibilité de l'estimateur de la probabilité de défaillance à ces deux sources d'incertitude. Une méthodologie focalisant l'enrichissement sur la réduction de la source majeure d'incertitude ainsi qu'un critère d'arrêt basé sur l'erreur globale sont proposés. L'approche est étendue pour l'estimation d'évènements rares.Une autre voie étudiée concerne la réduction du coût numérique unitaire d'évaluation des points d'apprentissage. Ainsi, nous proposons un couplage entre les approches d'apprentissage actif et la réduction de modèle de type base réduite. Une méthodologie adaptative permettant de choisir, par le biais d'un critère de couplage, si une solution réduite peut être utilisée à la place du modèle numérique complexe est proposée.

The temperature of the hot gas inside an aeronautical combustion chamber is greater than the melting temperature of its walls. Thus, they need to be cooled down in order to maintain the integrity of the engine. The current solution consists in injecting cold air through the wall thanks to thousands of submillimetric holes (effusion cooling). The high number of holes in a chamber makes a fully detailed numerical simulation difficult, that’s why it is necessary to use thermal models for effusion cooling. However, the previous studies on the topic lack experimental data, especially when the hole pattern involves a compound angle. Therefore, the goal of this thesis was to develop a new thermal model, valid for any hole pattern, especially for those involving a compound angle. This model is based on the experimental test campaign SAPHIR (designed by Safran and performed by ONERA). A calculation methodology has been defined based on the numerical restitution of the tests with RANS simulations, and a numerical database has been built, enabling to develop a new homogeneous thermal model, relying on an average film concept. In addition, an unsteady LES simulation has been conducted with YALES2 in order to make comparisons with the RANS simulations. This simulation reveals an improved description of the adiabatic effectiveness downstream the effusion area, compared to a RANS approach.; La température des gaz chauds dans une chambre de combustion aéronautique atteint des valeurs supérieures à la température de fusion de ses parois. Ces dernières doivent donc être refroidies pour assurer le bon fonctionnement du moteur. La solution actuelle consiste à injecter de l’air froid au travers des parois par des milliers de perforations d’un diamètre inférieur au millimètre (refroidissement par multiperforation). Le nombre élevé de perforations dans une chambre rend une simulation numérique détaillée inenvisageable aujourd'hui, c'est pourquoi il est nécessaire d’utiliser des modèles thermiques de paroi multiperforée. Or, les études précédentes sur le sujet souffrent d’un manque de données expérimentales, en particulier dans le cas des motifs de perçage à dilution giratoire. Ainsi, l’objectif de cette thèse a été de développer un nouveau modèle thermique de paroi multiperforée, valable pour tout type de motif de perçage, en particulier pour ceux à dilution giratoire. Ce modèle s’est appuyé sur les essais SAPHIR (spécifiés par Safran et réalisés à l’ONERA). La reproduction numérique de ces essais par simulations RANS a permis de définir une méthodologie de calcul pour construire une base de données numérique dont l’exploitation a conduit au développement d’un nouveau modèle thermique de type homogène reposant sur les caractéristiques d’un film moyen. Par ailleurs, une simulation instationnaire LES a été menée avec le code YALES2, afin d’apporter des éléments de comparaison avec les simulations RANS. Cette simulation montre l’apport de la LES dans l’estimation de l’efficacité adiabatique en aval de la zone perforée.

Metasurfaces have particular electromagnetic properties such as unusually refractive index, electromagnetic band gap and high impedance surface. Also named Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC), they are a focus of interest in the antennas field. Indeed, greater isolation between radiating elements and miniaturization of antenna with reflective plan can be achieved with those structures. Although they suffer from poor bandwidth (less than 10%), which make them inconsistent with wideband applications. To overcome this frequency limitation, implementation of non-Foster active circuits paves the way to extend thebandwidth of high impedance surfaces. In this respect, the thesis goal is to conceive a wideband high-impedance reflector with the integration of non-Foster circuits. The aimed bandwidth is [0.5 GHz; 1.5 GHz], that is to say 100% of the relative bandwidth. In this thesis, a synthesis methodology to realize a wideband AMC is proposed: an AMC reflector under normal incidence is conceived from a metasurface connected to a non-Foster circuit. The circuit is loaded with an optimized impedance. Analytic relationships between the reflection coefficient and the load impedance of the non-Foster circuit are given. Firstly, a metasurface working with linear polarizations and where the connection of the non-Foster circuit is offset. This topology protects the circuit against the perturbations due to the incident electromagnetic waves. Moreover, a study to extend metasurface functioning to circular polarization is under way. Then, a non-Foster circuit of type Negative Impedance Converter (NIC) is designed. A particular topology of circuit is selected in order to simplify the realization. It has been conceived using only components “off-the-shelf” and potentiometers which control the input impedance. Finally, the circuits load is calculated to obtain the attended wideband AMC behavior according with the real performance of the non-Foster circuit., Les métasurfaces offrent des propriétés électromagnétiques particulières permettant de générer des indices de réfraction inhabituels, produire des bandes électromagnétiques interdites, ou encore créer des surfaces à haute-impédance.Ces dernières, aussi nommées « Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) » sont particulièrement intéressantes dans le domaine antennaire. En effet elles permettent de réduire les couplages de divers éléments rayonnants, mais aussi de miniaturiser les antennes comportant un plan réflecteur. Cependant, leur bande de fonctionnement inférieure à 10%, les rend souvent incompatibles avec des applications large bande. Pour pallier cette limitation en bande passante, l’intégration de circuits actifs de type « non-Foster » ouvre une voie permettant d’élargir la bande passante des surfaces à haute-impédance.Dans ce contexte, l’objectif de la thèse est de concevoir un réflecteur haute impédance large-bande grâce à l’intégration de circuits actifs de type « non-Foster ». La bande passante visée est [0,5 GHz ; 1,5 GHz] soit 100% de bande passante relative.Dans cette thèse, une méthodologie de synthèse d’AMC large bande est proposée : un réflecteur AMC sous incidence normale est conçu à partir d’une métasurface connectée à un circuit non-Foster qui est lui-même chargé par une impédance optimisée. Les relations analytiques permettant d’exprimer le coefficient de réflexion de la métasurface en fonction du circuit non-Foster et de sa charge sont explicitées. Dans un premier temps, une métasurface fonctionnant en polarisation rectiligne permettant le report d’un circuit non Foster est proposée. Cette topologie permet de protéger le circuit électronique des ondes électromagnétiques incidentes.De plus, une étude permettant d’étendre le fonctionnement de la métasurface en polarisation circulaire est amorcée.Ensuite, un circuit Non-Foster de type « Negative Impedance Converter (NIC) » est conçu. La topologie du circuit est choisie dans un souci de simplification technologique. La réalisation de ce circuit a été faite en utilisant des composants standards et l’utilisation de potentiomètres permet un contrôle de l’impédance en entrée du circuit. Enfin, la charge de ce circuit NIC est déterminée afin de permettre le comportement AMC large bande en prenant en compte le comportement réel du circuit non Foster.
