O artigo tem por objetivo empreender uma leitura dos discursos que versam sobre o imaginário da mulata fácil no Brasil (Freyre, 2006 [1933]) considerando sua densidade histórica. O intuito é partir dos enunciados que irrompem no período escravocrata sobre essa mulata, discutir a forma como ela é colocada à prova no decorrer do século XX e, por fim, analisar as atualizações e apropriações dessa memória na atualidade. Para tanto, parte-se de uma Análise do Discurso derivada de Michel Pêcheux, mas que incorpora as atuais discussões empreendidas por Jean-Jacques Courtine, principalmente aquelas que dizem respeito à Semiologia Histórica.

The aim of the present study was to map the available evidence on the mental health risk factors of frontline health professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a systematic review that followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria. The search was independently carried out by four researchers, following the selection criteria in the electronic databases: PubMed Central, Ovid Technologies, GALE Academic Onefile, Science Citation Index Expanded. The data processing used Zotero software, responsible for creating and importing items according to the criteria established by the research. A total of 18,733 articles were found, of which 2,722 were excluded by the Zotero software because they were in duplicate, and another 366 were manually excluded. After applying the selection criteria, 43 articles entered the final analysis of this review. It is recommended that new scientific research be carried out, especially focusing on the analysis of health workers' mental health, aiming at providing the basis to create and implement public mental health programs and policies for workers.

The National School Meals Programme (PNAE in Portuguese initials) is a supplementary program to education that aims to provide school meals for pupils across the school system enrolled in public and philanthropic schools of primary education, secondary education, youth education, adult education and comprehensive education. The principles of the program are the universality and the expansion of student services in order to meet the Organic Law on Food and Nutritional Security (LOSAN), as well as the Food Security and Nutrition System. The objective of this study is to discuss forms of PNAE management to ensure that the students' right to school meals. This study is a reflection on how the resources of school meals are being managed, be it with a centralized, decentralized, semi-centralized or outsourced model. We conclude that the knowledge of the different forms of managing federal resources for food for school communities allows for making an informed choice regarding implementation and enforcement of PNAE.

The study aimed to investigate the scientific literature on Public Humanization Policies, available in online periodicals, from 2009 to 2012, in the health field. This is an integrative literature review conducted in the Virtual Health Library databases: Latin-America and Caribbean Health Sciences (Lilacs) and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Portal Capes. Data were collected in July 2013. To this end, the following Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) were used: "Humanization of Care," "Public Policies," "National Humanization Policy". The sample consisted of 27 articles about the investigated theme. From the publications selected for the research, three categories emerged according to their respective approaches: National Human-ization Policy: history and processes involved in its implementation; National Humanization Policy: health professionals contribution; Humanization and in the care process. The study showed that the National Humanization Policy is an important benchmark in the development of health practices. For this reason, there is a pressing multiplication of related reflections on ways to promote human-ization in health services.

During the first National Science and Technology Week held in 2004, science centers and museums, universities and schools engaged in activities with the idea of divulging science to the people. Demonstrations of the extraction of DNA from fruits were conducted in supermarkets in 11 Brazilian cities by two institutions, DNA Vai à Escola and Conselho de Informação e Biotecnologia. This article describes the formation of a national network of people interested in communicating information about genetics to the lay public and the implementation of a low-cost science communication activity in different parts of the country simultaneously. It also analyzes the impact caused by this initiative and the perceptions of those involved in its organization.

Background: Many epidemiological studies suggest that the intra uterine environment is extremely important in determining the future of individual health. Changes in maternal nutritional status, reflected in birth weight may program the offspring to the development of diseases in adulthood. Studies with animals exposed to intrauterine malnutrition have suggested a reduction in the number of clusters in addition to increased blood pressure., Objective: To review the literature morphophysiology changes in the kidney of adult Wistar rats exposed to malnutrition during intrauterine life., Methods: We performed a search in the following databases: PubMed, MEDLINE, SCIENCE DIRECT, LILACS. The main search terms were malnutrition and renal function in Portuguese and English. We included original articles involving albino rats. We excluded review articles as well as those involving humans., Results: According to Franco et al (2009) renal function and the number of glomeruli reduced by poor on intrauterine development, predisposing offspring to kidney disease in adulthood. According to Chen (2009) ultra-glomerular structure is not affected by maternal malnutrition suggesting that this factor does not contribute to the pathogenesis of hypertension after maternal malnutrition. Viana-son et al (2009) believes that stress on placents, causes disruption on sodium pumps in the proximal tubules of the kidney, resulting hypertension., Conclusion: The intrauterine malnutrition appears to interfere with the programming of kidney function with changes in glomerular morphophysiology, however, its mechanisms remain uncertain. We suggest further studies of the type and randomized clinical trials aimed at understanding the factors that trigger this process.

This qualitative research aims to analyze how sexual orientation has been incorporated into pedagogic practices through the point of view of educators from public schools of fundamental teaching. Twenty three educators from Cajazeiras, Paralba, Brazil participated in the study. The focus group was elected as technique of investigation, and the empirical data obtained were organized according to the technique of analysis of content. It was realized that there is an effort of the actors to privilege contents related to sexual orientation in the school environment though they demand that a level of informative and subjective character about the "sexuality" be encouraged providing the educators with a space for re-significations of its internality of values. The information directed to self-care must transcend the limits of prevention and hygienisation, incorporating extensive, inclusive and reflective methodologies, which recognize human and social rights and promote the ethical construction of citizenship.

The random-walk model is employed to simulate modulated speckle patterns. We demonstrate that the geometrical image approximation fails to describe the modulated speckle pattern. A new approach to analyzing this phenomenon is proposed. The validity of the approximations employed is verified by comparison of the simulation with the experimental results. Speckle metrological applications and phase measurement techniques could be improved by taking advantage of this model.

The author analyses past concepts which still hold good today. Such concepts regard epilepsy as a mental disease and the epileptic is usually taken as someone suffering from a severe mental disorder, tending to criminal behaviour. The author proves, taking into account various statements from prominent personalities in the scientific world, that epilepsy is neither a mental disease nor a disease in its own sense, and that the epileptic has not an aggressive behaviour.

1. The pharmacological reactivity of the epididymal and prostatic portions of the rat vas deferens to BaCl2, phenylephrine and carbachol were recorded by isometric and isotonic technique. 2. The maximum response induced by the three agonists were similar at the epidiymal end, while at the prostatic portion phenylephrine produced a response 80% lower than that of barium and carbachol. 3. The pD2 value to agonists and the sensitivity to calcium channel blockers were lower at the prostatic end. 4. The data suggest that not only the pharmacological reactivity of the prostatic and epididymal portions differs, but also that the activity of the prostatic portion is much more reduced to alpha 1-agonists.
