11. Adiciones y correcciones al catálogo de Ascomycota (Fungi) de Costa Rica, con especial referencia al género Scutellinia.

Abstract

[EN] This paper represents a contribution to the mycoflora of Costa Rica. Fourteen of the 17 taxa here mentioned or described are new to the Costarican catalogue: Trichocoma paradoxa, Helvella stevensii, Scutellinia crinita, S. heimii, S. inexpectata, S. kerguelensis, S. margaritacea, S. nigrohirtula, S. patagonica, S. pennsylvanica, S. setosa, S. setosissima and umbrorum, within which S. helmii and S margaritacea are also new to America. The revision of several type collections from CR has proved that Gyromitra chirripoensis is a synonym of G. infula, while Helvella didicusana and Morchella herediana remain as independent species. Thus, the catalogue of species within the genus Scutellinia increases from 3 to 15., [ES] De las 17 especies citadas o descritas en este trabajo, las siguientes 14 representan citas nuevas para Costa Rica: Trichocoma paradoxa,Helvella stevensii, Scutellinia crinita, S. heimii, S. inexpectata, S. kerguelensis, S. margaritacea, S. nigrohirtula, S. patagonica, S. pennsylvanica, S. setosa, S. setosissima and S. umbrorum. Dos de ellas, S.heimii y S. margaritacea son nuevas para América. La revisión de material tipo depositado en el herbario CR ha demostrado qu eGyromitra chirriponensis es sinónima de G. infula, mientras que Helvella didicusana y Morchella herediana se mantienen como especies independientes. El catálogo de especies costarricenses de Scutellinia se incrementa hasta las 15.

Abstract

The genus Haematomma is treated as part of the Ticolichen biodiversity inventory in Costa Rica. Together with literature reports, fourteen taxa are recognized as occurring in the country (plus three species to be expected), and three of them are new to science: Haematomma nicoyense Nelsen, Lücking & Chaves, with a sorediate thallus, russulone and atranorin, and zeorine apothecia with a split between proper excipulum and thalline margin, Haematomma staigeriae Nelsen, Lücking & Umaña, with a sorediate thallus, russulone and lichexanthone, and submuriform ascospores, and Haematomma fluorescens var. longisporum Nelsen, Lücking & Navarro, with russulone and lichexan- thone and ascospores up to 120 pm in length with up to 27 septa. A key is presented for the 17 taxa known or expected from Costa Rica. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

19. Paramphisphaeria costaricensisgen. et sp. nov. and Pachytrype rimosasp. nov. from Costa Rica

Abstract

Paramphisphaeriais described as a new genus on the basis of the single species, P. costaricensis. It differs from Amphisphaeriaspp. primarily in having bicellular ascospores with a germ slit and in having an ascus apical ring that does not become blue in iodine. It resembles Amphisphaeriain its brown color and lack of constriction at the septum of the ascospore. An anamorph is unknown. It tentatively is placed in the Xylariaceae for reasons discussed. Pachytrype rimosais described as a new species.
