Purpose: The study investigated how information technology has impacted the responsiveness of telecommunication industry, Airtel, South East, Nigeria. Methodology/approach: The study used a correlational survey design, with copies of the questionnaire serving as the main data collection tool. The total sample size for the study was 131 employees. A probability simple random sampling technique was used to distribute the survey. Primary data were gathered using a face-to-face, researchersadministered structured questionnaire made using a Likert scale with five possible outcomes. The data was statistically tested, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to analyze the relationship between one variable and another. Result/Findings: The result of research hypothesis one indicates that a unit rise in teleconferencing applications results in a 0.996 increase in employee responsiveness at a 5 % level of significance. The result of research hypothesis two revealed that a unit increase in internet applications results in a 0.865 increase in service quality at a 5 % level of significance. The researchers suggest businesses provide opportunities for their employees' ongoing education and training, so they can gain the most recent credentials and expertise in their field. Limitations: This study is restricted to five states in South East Nigeria that have Telecommunication Centers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study explored a review of the literature approach on total quality management alongside other variables using recent investigations. This study identified a framework that connects total quality management, continuous improvement, and process performance. This research contributed to developing a conceptual framework for performance, continuous process improvement, and total quality management. This study is an integrative evaluation of the prior research on the idea of overall quality management and its connection. Future researchers are urged to make use of descriptive surveys and empirical techniques to generalize their findings. To reflect comprehensive quality management, continuous improvement, and process performance, this study created a conceptual framework and model. The study examined the effect of capital structure decisions on profitability of quoted consumer good firms in Nigeria. Research method adopted is ex-post facto research design. The study employed secondary data obtained from the websites of the consumer goods sub-sectors of the manufacturing sector, published annual reports and statements of accounts of the sampled firms and the Nigerian Stock Exchange F-act-book. The study adopted judgmental sampling and multi-stage sampling techniques in data collection. Multiple Regression models were used in the analysis of the data. The estimation result also showed that the retained earnings to asset ratio (REA) had a direct relationship with return on asset of quoted consumer goods firms in Nigeria. The study concludes that, retained earnings to asset ratio positively influenced return on asset of quoted consumer goods firms in Nigeria at 5% level of significance. The study recommends firms' managers and financial advisors to advise the stakeholders of quoted consumer goods firms to use more of internal fund to finance a huge proportion of their assets if available. Again, the firms' managers are advised to continuously study the market and advice firms on the appropriateness of the proportions of long-term debt to be used during capital structure decisions to avoid the adverse effect of financial distress

Globalization, Environment, Foreign Direct Investment, Trade Openness, Agricultural Gross Domestic Product - Abstract
This study examined the effect of globalization on economic environment in Nigeria. Quantitative research methodology was adopted using expo-facto research design to analyze the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Secondary data were obtained from secondary sources using statistical bulletin of Nigeria covering the periods of twenty eight (28) years from 1990-2018. Secondary data were analyzed using multiple regression to generate study result. Based on the analysis of the study, findings revealed that globalization variable (foreign direct investment, FDI) is statistical significant to the economic environment (agricultural gross domestic product, AGDP) in Nigeria, Similarly, the result also showed that globalization variable (trade openness) is not statistically significant to the economic environment (agricultural gross domestic product, AGDP). The result can be interpreted that FDI has significant positive influence on the agricultural production while, trade openness has insignificant influence on agricultural gross domestic product. Study recommends Nigerian governments to adopt economic policies (such as tariff) to checkmate influx of goods into the country that will be detrimental to the environment. The reason is to protect the environment against use as a dumping ground or site for inflow of products that are obsolete. Finally, firms are advised to adopt eco-friendly technology in the manufacturing and energy sector to improve environmental performance and tackle climate change.

This study explored the relationship between Intellectual Capital Management and Career Development of Female Managers in Private sector Anambra State, Nigeria. Correlation survey design was used to test the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The total population of study comprised of 120 female staff of the selected private sector (First Bank, United Bank for Africa, Access Bank and Fidelity Bank). The target population of the study comprised of lower and middle level female managers of the selected organizations. The hypotheses were tested and analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results showed that, there exists a significant negative relationship between Intellectual Capital variable (employee knowledge) and Career Development (gender stereotyping) of female managers. It is therefore, recommended that organizations need to introduce diversity gender programme to educate employees about the dangers of work place discrimination and importance of accommodating people from different background (gender and race). We, advocate that human resources' managers need to introduce family support programmes to help women with family responsibilities balance between work and family matters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigated the relationship between the multidimensionality of strategic entrepreneurship and operational performance of selected indigenous technical oilfield services firms in Rivers State. The researcher used descriptive research design for the study. Three research objectives, questions and hypotheses were used for the study. The researcher employed a self-developed five-points Likert scale structured survey questionnaire based on the strategic entrepreneurship and operational performance constructs as the instrument for data collection. To answer the research questions and test the research hypotheses, a simple random sampling technique with the support of Taro Yamane was used to determine the sample size which gave rise to a total of 72 indigenous technical oilfield services firms from the population of 88 firms operating in Rivers State. The questionnaire and data integrity tests for reliability, validity and normality were performed in IBM SPSS version 29. The reliability test gave Cronbach’s Alpha test scale of 0.94, Pearson’s r validity test gave 97% valid score of the 30 question items in the questionnaire and the data were not normally distributed based on Shapiro-Wilk’s statistic at 5% level of significance. The results of Ordinal logistic regression analysis and Spearman’s rank order correlation showed positive strong and significant relationships exist between the dimensions of strategic entrepreneurship and measures of operational performance. The study, therefore, concludes that strategic entrepreneurship could be a leverage in gaining strong competitive advantage and sustained improvement in operational performance of indigenous technical oilfield services firms. Inability of business firms to manage staff motivation, high turnover, offer competitive salaries, and give training and development opportunities can have a significant impact on a company's operational success, thereby limiting its ability to define corporate values and meet planned goals. This study therefore strives to address these issues by investigating the nature of the relationship that exists between employee commitment and organizational capabilities in selected Nigerian Bottling firms in South East, Nigeria. The correlational research studied only 226 respondents using questionnaire administered to the employees using five-point Likert scale. The regression results indicated that employee motivation exerts a significant and positive influence on organizational competitiveness at 5% level of significance (B = 1.011, P = 0.000). The findings also revealed that employee engagement had a significant positive influence on teamwork (B = 0.999, P = 0.000). The correlation result showed a significant positive relationship between employee loyalty and organizational innovativeness (r = 0.996, P = 0.000). Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that human resource measurement and reward should be based on competency in order to motivate employees to bring out their best for their organization. In addition, business leaders must dedicate time to defining their organizational capabilities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
