Graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) has gained tremendous interest in the sector of power transformation and retention, because of its distinctive stacked composition, adjustable electronic structure, metal‐free feature, superior thermodynamic durability, and simple availability. Furthermore, the restricted illumination and extensive recombination of photoexcitation electrons have inhibited the photocatalytic performance of pure g‐C3N4. The dimensions of g‐C3N4 may impact the field of electronics confinement; as a consequence, g‐C3N4 with varying dimensions shows unique features, making it appropriate for a number of fascinating uses. Even if there are several evaluations emphasizing on the fabrication methods and deployments of g‐C3N4, there is certainly an insufficiency of a full overview, that exhaustively depicts the synthesis and composition of diverse aspects of g‐C3N4. Consequently, from the standpoint of numerical simulations and experimentation, several legitimate methodologies were employed to deliberately develop the photocatalyst and improve the optimal result, including elements loading, defects designing, morphological adjustment, and semiconductors interfacing. Herein, this evaluation initially discusses different dimensions, the physicochemical features, modifications and interfaces design development of g‐C3N4. Emphasis is given to the practical design and development of g‐C3N4 for the various power transformation and inventory applications, such as photocatalytic H2 evolution, photoreduction of CO2 source, electrocatalytic H2 evolution, O2 evolution, O2 reduction, alkali‐metal battery cells, lithium‐ion batteries, lithium–sulfur batteries, and metal‐air batteries. Syngas is a valuable entity for downstream liquid fuel production and chemical industries. The efficient production of syngas via catalytic partial oxidation of methane (CPOM) is an important process. In this study, partial oxidation of methane (POM) was carried out using CaO decorated TiO2 catalysts. The catalysts were synthesized employing the sol-gel method, while the decoration of TiO2 with CaO was achieved in an aqueous solution by wetness impregnation method. The prepared catalysts were characterized by employing XRD, Raman, TG-DTG, and SEM-EDX for structural and morphological analysis. On testing for POM, at 750 °C the catalysts demonstrate excellent CH4 conversion of 83.6 and 79.5% for 2% and 3% CaO loaded TiO2, respectively. While the average H2/CO ratio for both 2% and 3% CaO loaded TiO2, 2.25 and 2.28, respectively, remained slightly above the theoretical value (H2/CO = 2.0) of POM. The improved POM performance is attributed to the optimally loaded CaO on the TiO2 surface that promotes the reaction where TiO2 support ensure less agglomerated particles, resulting into a fine distribution of the active catalytic sites. Zn:Cr mixed oxide catalyst was examined as an effective and recyclable catalyst for the synthesis selected pyrimidine derivatives in high yield. The catalyst was characterized by FT-IR, XRD, BET, SEM, EDX and Zeta potential analysis. Substituted 4-aryl-6-(3-coumarinyl) pyrimidine-2(1H)-ones were prepared in high yield and purity via the cyclocondensation of urea and 3-acetylcoumarin with substituted aldehydes in the presence of a catalytic amount of Zn:Cr mixed oxide catalyst as Lewis acid at ambient temperature. The effect of the molar ratio of the catalyst was also studied, and as a result, Zn:Cr (10:1) showed better catalytic performance than Zn:Cr (1:1) at identical reaction conditions. Chromium is well-thought-out heavy metal which is one of the enormously lethal due to its cancer-causing nature. In this study, iron oxide is used as adsorbent for chromate removal from aqueous solution as a function of pH, time, temperature, concentration of adsorbate and media dosage. The influence of pH on Cr (VI) sorption by iron oxide reveals that adsorption is significantly increased as pH is decreased from 8 to 2. The sorption rate is detected to be higher in the beginning and then it remains constant after 120 min of equilibrium time. The removal of Cr (VI) is found to be greater at higher temperature, which confirms the endothermic nature of Cr (VI) adsorption by iron oxide. Whereas, the kinetic investigations confirm that the chromate adsorption follows the pseudo second order with kinetic energy in the range of 8.4–83.7 kJ mol−1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pyrolysis kinetics was carried out for Calligonum polygonoides (C Polygonoides) in an inert atmosphere at three different heating temperatures such as 10, 15, and 20 °C/min using thermogravimetric analysis. Physicochemical properties were studied using bomb calorimeter, elemental analyzer, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. C Polygonoides have a calorific value of 16.33 MJ/kg. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to identify gases produced during pyrolysis. Thermogravimetric analysis was used to investigate the pyrolysis characteristics of biomass. Activation energy for the three zones of pyrolysis were determined using Kissinger and Ozawa model-free methods. Activation energy calculated for zone L zone [l and zone Ill using Ozawa and Kissinger model was 133.73,164.50,254 KJ/mol and 135.61,165.88, and 253.00 KJ/mol, respectively. Thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy were calculated for the three different zones. Kinetic and thermodynamic study confirmed that C Polygonoides can be used as useful and potential bioenergy feedstock. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
