2. Evaluation of potential anti-aging effects of Achillea phrygia Boiss. & Balansa (Asteraceae).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the anti-aging effects of Achillea phrygia, an endemic plant, by evaluating its sun protection factor (SPF) level, antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, extracellular matrix-degrading enzymes (ECM) inhibition, genotoxic/anti-genotoxic, and cytotoxic activities. The SPF level was assessed using an in vitro quantitative method, while antioxidant capacity was determined through DPPH, β-carotene, and hydroxyl-radical (H2O2) scavenging assays. The total phenolic content was quantitatively conducted using the Folin Ciocalteu reagent. The inhibition of ECM-degrading enzymes was determined using matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1), hyaluronidase, and elastase enzymes. Genotoxic/anti-genotoxic properties were assessed using the AMES Salmonella/microsome assay, and cytotoxicity effects were assessed through the MTT assay. The results indicated that A. phrygia showed moderate SPF activity (SPF = 4.013) and exhibited IC50 values of 0.183 ± 0.03, 0.079 ± 0.51, and 1.18 ± 0.35 mg/mL for DPPH, β-carotene, and hydroxyl-radicals, respectively. The total phenolic content was measured to be 23.56 ± 1.42 mg GAE/g dry extract. Furthermore, the extract demonstrated inhibition of MMP-1 (47.98%) and elastase (39.2%) activities. Importantly, it did not induce DNA damage and showed antigenotoxic activity ranging from 10% to 65.6%. The cytotoxicity assay revealed an IC50 value of 42.41±4.05 µg/mL. These findings suggest that A. phrygia could be utilized as a cosmetic ingredient in skincare products due to its ability to protect against UV radiation, exhibit antioxidant properties, prevent extracellular matrix degradation, and inhibit DNA damage. Abstract

Plants have been widely used as a pharmaceutical to treat diseases in many cultures for centuries. In vitro biological activities of some plants consumed as food and used in traditional medicine in Southwestern Anatolia have been reported. The present study focused on the antimicrobial, antibiofilm, antioxidant, and quorum sensing (QS) inhibitory activities of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of aerial parts of Scandix pectenveneris L., Artedia squamata L., Oenanthe pimpinelloides L. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated against fifteen bacteria and one yeast using disc diffusion and microdilution methods. The aqueous and ethanol extracts of A. squamata showed the highest activity against Staphylococcus aureus MU 47 with 20 and 23 mm zone diameters, respectively. The ethanol extract of S. pecten-veneris inhibited Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 at a 5 mg/mL MIC value. The aqueous extract of O. pimpinelloides inhibited biofilm formation of S. aureus MU 40, P. aeruginosa ATCC 27853, and C. albicans ATCC 10239 at MIC value. All extracts displayed violacein inhibition against Chromobacterium violaceum CV12472 in the concentration range of 1.25 mg/mL to 25 mg/mL. The aqueous extract of A. squamata showed valuable anti-quorum sensing (anti-QS) activity with a pigment inhibition zone of 17 mm on Chromobacterium violaceum CV026. The aqueous extract of S. pecten-veneris inhibited the swarming motility of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA01 by 47.6%. The aqueous and ethanol extracts of A. squamata indicated the best antioxidant activity. 6. Investigation of biological activities of in vitro grown Sesamum orientaleplant extract on the cell cultures: wound healing and antiproliferation

Abstract

Sesame has gained significant attention in the pharmaceutical industry for its antifungal, antiproliferative, antioxidant, and antiproliferative properties, as well as its use as a nutritional supplement. Additionally, sesame is a good source of vitamins B and E and has shown potential as a food that can lower serum cholesterol, balance blood pressure, and aid wound healing. In vitro grown Sesamum orientaleL. cv. "Gökova" are presently undergoing tests to determine their cytotoxic, wound-healing, and antiproliferative properties using L929 fibroblasts, A549 lung epithelial, and MCF-7 breast cell lines. The IC50values for A549 were 922.73 g ml−1(extract) and 33.09 g ml−1(cisplatin), 1837.07 g ml−1(extract) and 19.27 g ml−1(cisplatin), and for L929 they were 154.70 g ml−1(extract). The subcytotoxic dosages of the extract demonstrated wound healing in L929 fibroblast cell cultures within 48 h. The transcripts of the BCL-XLgene, which exhibit an inverse correlation with the apoptotic pathway, and the transcripts of the Cas3and Cas9, which show a positive correlation with the apoptotic pathway, were scrutinized to ascertain the anti-cancer properties. The study revealed a significant increase in gene expression in A549 and MCF-7 lines after exposure to plant extract or cisplatin. The findings suggest that sesame extract can promote wound healing at lower doses and exhibit antiproliferative activity at higher doses. The study provides a promising foundation for the development of a pharmacological drug that offers wound-healing and/or antiproliferative effects. The product has potential applications across a range of future projects and can be utilised with numerous cell lines.

Abstract

Boron containing compounds (BCCs) have recently been used for pharmaceutical applications. Zinc, an essential element, is known to be one of the most promising biodegradable metals. The present study was conducted to determine the wound healing properties of zinc borate with its antimicrobial, antifibrinolytic and enzyme inhibitory characteristics. In vitro scratch wound healing assay revealed that zinc borate at 0.01 µg/mL concentration stimulated the proliferation of 3T3 fibroblast cells after 24 h of scar formation. The highest enzyme inhibition was observed against collagenase at 1 mg/mL (81.5%). Minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) values were determined as 1 mg/mL and 0.5 mg/mL against Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus, respectively. Zinc borate did not have antifibrinolytic activity at 1, 0.5 and 0.1 mg/mL concentrations. It can be suggested that zinc borate can be used effectively to improve the wound healing process and to prevent the possible wound infections. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Metallic nanoparticles are interesting areas of research due to their unique properties which can be advantageous for producing smart products. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are remarkably used in pharmaceutical industry because oftheir strong biological activities. The aim of the present study was to investigate the cytotoxicity and wound healing capacity of the biologically prepared silver nanoparticles via green synthesis route. Cytotoxicity of the biogenic AgNPs was determined by MTT (3- [4, 5- dimethyl-2-thiazolyl]-2, 5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium-bromide) assay against L929 fibroblast cell line. Wound healing properties of the AgNPs were evaluated using in vitro-scratch wound healing assay using 3T3 fibroblast cell line. Biosynthesized AgNPs inhibited the propagation of fibroblasts at a half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 23.507 μg/mL after 24 h incubation. In vitro wound healing assay also revealed that the biogenic AgNPs stimulated the 3T3 fibroblasts' cell proliferation. It can be suggested that biologically synthesized AgNPs can be used effectively for biomedical applications such as wound dressing materials. Metalik nanopartiküller, akıllı ürünler üretmek için avantajlı olabilecek benzersiz özelliklerinden dolayı ilgi çeken araştırma alanlarıdır. Gümüş nanopartiküller sahip oldukları güçlü biyolojik aktiviteler nedeniyle farmasötik endüstrisinde sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Mevcut çalışmanın amacı, yeşil sentez metodu üzerinden biyolojik olarak sentezlenmiş gümüş nanopartiküllerin sitotoksitesini ve yara iyileşme kapasitesini belirlemektir. Gümüş nanopartiküllerin sitotoksisitesi L929 fibroblast hücrelerine karşı MTT (3-[4,5-dimetiltiyazol-2-il]-2,5-difenil-tetrazolyum bromür) analiz yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Gümüş nanopartiküllerin yara iyileştirici özellikleri 3T3 fibroblast hücrelerine karşı in vitro çizik testi yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Biyosentetik gümüş nanopartiküllere ait 24 saat inkübasyon sonucunda hesaplanan IC50 değeri 23.507 μg/mL olarak belirlenmiştir. In vitro yara iyileşme testi sonucuna göre gümüş nanopartiküllerin 3T3 fibroblast hücrelerinin proliferasyonunu uyardığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucuna göre biyolojik olarak sentezlenen gümüş nanopartiküllerin yara örtüsü gibi biyomedikal uygulamalarda etkin şekilde kullanılabileceği öngörülmektedir.

Abstract

Bu çalışmada potasyum metaboratın (KBO2) antioksidan, antimikrobiyal ve antibiyofilm aktiviteleri incelenmiştir. Potasyum metaboratın antioksidan aktivitesi beta-karoten ağartma (BCB) analizi ve hidroksil radikal giderim aktivitesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Potasyum metaboratın antimikrobial aktivitesi, seçili Gram-pozitif bakteri, Gram-negatif bakteri ve maya suşlarına karşı tüp dilüsyon metodu ile incelenmiştir. Potasyum metaboratın test edilen mikroorganizmaların biyofilm oluşturma özelliği üzerine etkinliği MTT (3- [4, 5- dimethyl-2-thiazolyl]-2, 5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium-bromide) testi ile belirlenmiştir. Biyofilm inhibisyon kapasitesi ayrıca Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu (SEM) ile görüntülenmiştir. Potasyum metaboratın hidroksil radikallerini giderim kapasitesi 100 mM konsantrasyonda % 71.13 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Aynı konsatrasyonda BCB aktivitesi daha yüksek sonuç vererek % 86.96 olrak belirlenmiştir. Minimum İnhibisyon Konsantrasyonu (MİK) hesaplamalarına göre potasyum metaborat 62.5 mM konsantrasyonda C. albicans, S. aureus ve E. coli üremesini inhibe ederken, 31.25 mM konsatrasyonda B. subtilis, 125 mM konsantrasyonda ise P. aeruginosa üremesini inhibe etmiştir. MİK değeri uygulanan antibiyofilm aktivite analizi sonucuna göre en yüksek aktivite % 90.18 biyofilm inhibisyon değeri ile C. albicans’ a karşı görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak potasyum metaboratın güçlü biyolojik aktivitelere sahip olduğu ve biyomedikal ve çevresel çözümlerde etkili bir şekilde kullanılabileceği görülmüştür., Antioxidant, antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of potassium metaborate (KBO2) was investigated within the present study. Antioxidant capacity of potassium metaborate was determined by β-carotene bleaching (BCB) assay and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity. Potassium metaborate was evaluated for its antimicrobial effects against selected Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria and a yeast via broth dilution method. The inhibition capability of potassium metaborate on the microbial biofilm formation of tested microorganisms was measured by microplate biofilm method using MTT (3- [4, 5- dimethyl-2-thiazolyl]-2, 5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium-bromide). Biofilm inhibition capacity of potassium metaborate was also observed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Potassium metaborate was found to have the ability to scavenge hydroxyl radicals with an inhibition rate of 71.13% at 100 mM concentration. Antioxidant activity of potassium metaborate as determined by BCB assay gave higher result with an inhibition rate of 86.96% at the same concentration. According to the MIC (minimum inhibition concentration) values, the potassium metaborate inhibited the growth of C. albicans, S. aureus and E. coli at 62.5 mM concentrations while it was 31.25 mM for B. subtilis and 125 mM for P. aeruginosa. The highest antibiofilm activity was determined at the MIC of potassium metaborate with the reduction rate of 90.18% against C. albicans. It was concluded that, potassium metaborate have strong biological activities and can be effectively used for biomedical and environmental solutions.

Abstract

Aim: The present study was aimed to characterize the surgical silk sutures coated with Styrax liquidus, Turkish sweetgum balsam obtained from Liquidambar orientalis, and to investigate their anti-adhesion capacity against oral pathogenic microorganisms.Material and Methods: Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was applied to determine the chemical composition of the Liquidambar orientalis styrax (LOS)-coated sutures. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) was performed to compare the thermal stability of the LOS-coated sutures. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) was used to evaluate the morphological structure of the sutures. Anti-adhesion activity of the LOS-coated sutures was investigated against common oral pathogenic microorganisms.Results: FTIR spectrum and SEM images revealed out that LOS was succesfully coated onto the silk sutures. TGA analysis showed that LOS coating moderately affected the thermal stability of the silk sutures. According to the anti-adhesion activity analysis, the highest activity was observed against S. aureus, a gram positive bacteria.Conclusion: Coating the surgical silk sutures with LOS might be useful to prevent the surgical site infections in oral surgery., Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Liquidambar orientalis'ten elde edilen Türk sığla balsamı olan Styrax liquidus ile kaplanmış cerrahi ipek sütürlerin karakterize edilmesi ve oral patojenik mikroorganizmalara karşı anti-adezyon kapasitelerinin araştırılması amaçlandı.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Liquidambar orientalis styrax (LOS) kaplı sütürlerin kimyasal bileşimini belirlemek için Fourier Transform Kızılötesi Spektroskopisi (FTIR) uygulandı. LOS kaplı sütürlerin termal stabilitesini karşılaştırmak için Termogravimetrik Analiz (TGA) yapıldı. Sütürlerin morfolojik yapısını değerlendirmek için Taramalı Elektron Mikroskopisi (SEM) kullanıldı. LOS kaplı sütürlerin anti-adezyon aktivitesi, yaygın oral patojenik mikroorganizmalara karşı araştırıldı.Bulgular: FTIR spektrumu ve SEM görüntüleri LOS'un ipek sütürlere başarılı bir şekilde kaplandığını ortaya koydu. TGA analizi, LOS kaplamanın ipek sütürlerin termal stabilitesini orta derecede etkilediğini gösterdi. Anti-adezyon aktivite analizine göre, en yüksek aktivitenin gram pozitif bakteri olan S. aureus'a karşı olduğu gözlendi.Sonuç: Cerrahi ipek sütürlerin LOS ile kaplanması, oral cerrahide cerrahi bölge enfeksiyonlarını önlemek için yararlı olabilmektedir.

24. The Inhibition Effects of Eugenol and Pulegone on Stenotrophomonas maltophilia: an Opportunistic Pathogen

Abstract

Aerobic, non-fermentative and Gram-negative Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a multidrug-resistant bacilli that is known to be pathogen for human and animals. S. maltophilia has been isolated from different animal species and also found in a variety of environments including soil, water, and plants. S. maltophilia, which has the ability to form biofilms on surfaces that cause environmental problems, is resistant to many antibiotic classes such as cephalosporins, carbapenems, and aminoglycosides. Here in this study, its aimed to determine the inhibition activities of natural phenolic compounds eugenol and pulegone against S. maltophilia MU69. Antibacterial activities of eugenol and pulegone were initially determined by disc diffusion method. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) were also determined by tube dilution assay. Antibiofilm activities of the compounds were investigated by crystal violet staining and also monitorized using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Zone of inhibition measurements were found to be 39 mm and 28 mm for eugenol and pulegone, respectively. MIC and MBC values were found to be 3.12 mg/mL for eugenol while these were 2.5 mg/mL and 5 mg/mL for pulegone, respectively. The highest antibiofilm activity was found to be 56.30±0.45% for MIC of eugenol. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the antibacterial and antibiofilm activity of eugenol and pulegone against S. maltophilia. According to the biological activity results, it can be concluded that these natural agents may be potentially used for veterinary sciences, food industry or pharmaceutical applications that aim to manage S. maltophilia biofilm. Aerobik, non-fermentatif ve gram-negatif Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, insan ve hayvanlar için patojen olarak bilinen çoklu ilaç direncine sahip bir basildir. Farklı hayvan türlerinden izole edilmiş S. maltophilia suşu toprak, su ve bitkiler gibi çeşitli çevresel etmenlerden de izole edilebilmektedir. Katı yüzeyler üzerinde biyofilm oluşturabilme yeteneği sayesinde S. maltophilia suşu çevre sorunlarına yol açmakla birlikte aminoglikozitler, karbapenemler ve sefalosporinler gibi çeşitli antibiyotik sınıflarına karşı direnç göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada doğal fenolik bileşikler olan eugenol ve pulegonun S. maltophila MU69 suşu üzerindeki inhibisyon aktivitelerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Eugenol ve pulegonun antibakteriyel aktivitesi disk difüzyon yöntemi ile araştırılmıştır. Minimum İnhibisyon Konsatrasyonu (MİK) ve Minimum Bakterisidal Konsantrasyon (MBK) ise tüp dilüsyon yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Antibiyofilm aktivitenin belirlenmesinde kristal viyole boyama yöntemi uygulanmış ve ayrıca Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobi (SEM) ile görüntülenmiştir. MİK ve MBK değerleri eugenol için 3.12 mg/mL olarak belirlenirken, pulegon için sırasıyla 2.5 mg/mL ve 5 mg/mL olarak tespit edilmiştir. En yüksek antibiyofilm aktivite oranı % 56.30±0.45 ile eugenole ait MİK değeri için gözlenmiştir. Bu çalışma eugenol ve pulegon bileşiklerinin S. maltophilia suşuna karşı antibakteriyel ve antibiyofilm aktivitelerinin belirlendiği ilk çalışma olarak sunulmaktadır. Biyolojik aktivite çalışmalarının sonuçlarına göre bu iki doğal bileşik veteriner bilimleri, gıda endüstrisi ve farmasötik uygulamalarda S. maltophilia’ya karşı geliştirilen sistemlerde potansiyel kullanım kapasitesine sahiptir.

25. EXAMINATION OF QUORUM-SENSING RESPONSES OF BIOCIDE-RESISTANT BIOFILM BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM A WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM IN INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

WOS: 000409399600014 Bacteria attaching surfaces contacting water reproduce in n the matrix they produce and form a slime layer called biofilm. Increased antimicrobial resistance of bacteria forming biofilm is thought to result from quorum sensing (QS) systems' becoming active. To remove unwanted biofilms from industrial environments, the most commonly used agents are antimicrobial agents called biocides. In the present study, how 61 different bacteria species out of 84 bacteria isolated from the waste water treatment system formed biofilm, and their resistance to Chloramine T trihydrate (Merck) and Penwater BC8120 (Hidrokim), widely used commercial biocides, were investigated. In addition, the relationship between QS systems and biocide resistance of the bacteria identified to be resistant was determined. At the end of the study, it was found that the bacteria treated with ten different concentrations of the biocides (%1, %0,5, %0,2, %0,1, %0,01, %0,001, %0,0001, %0,00001, %0,000001, %0,0000001) for 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours developed resistance at various levels depending on the dosage and duration of the application. However, it was also determined that the resistance of numbered 73 to 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,5% and 1% concentrations of Chloramine T trihydrate and the resistance of bacteria numbered 84 to 0,01%, 0,0001%, 0,00001%, 0,2% and 1% concentrations of Chloramine T trihydrate were based on the QS systems. Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the hyaluronidase, collagenase and elastase inhibitory effects, which play important role for wound healing, together with the antibacterial, antioxidant and homeostatic activities of tragacanth gum (TG) and locust bean gum (LBG). The antimicrobial activities were tested against four bacteria and the antioxidant activities were estimated by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) radical scavenging and ?-carotene bleaching assays. Homeostatic effect was evaluated with the Prothrombin Time (PT) and Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (aPTT) test parameters. The wound healing potentials were determined with the inhibition of hyaluronidase, collagenase and elastase enzymes. The TG showed antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC27853 and Escherichia coli ATCC25922. The results showed that TG and LBG possessed antioxidant properties including DPPH scavenging (21.0% and 17.6%, respectively) and H2O2 radical scavenging (59.4% and 79.0%, respectively) activities. The polysaccharides displayed significantly reducing PT and aPTT results. Between the two tested polysaccharides LBG showed significant hyaluronidase and collagenase inhibition activity at 10 mg/mL concentration. These findings show that these natural polysaccharides can be used to support of wound healing Bu çalışmanın amacı, kitre zamkı (TG) ve keçiboynuzu zamkı (LBG)'nin antibakteriyel, antioksidan ve homeostatik aktiviteleri ile birlikte yara iyileşmesi için önemli olan hiyalüronidaz, kollajenaz ve elastaz inhibitör etkilerini araştırmaktır. Antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri dört bakteriye karşı test edilerek, antioksidan aktiviteleri 1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH), hidrojen peroksit (H202) radikal temizleme ve ?karoten ağartma deneyleri ile tespit edilmiştir. Homeostatik etki Protrombin Zamanı (PT) ve Aktive Edilen Kısmi Tromboplastin Zamanı (aPTT) test parametreleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Yara iyileştirme potansiyelleri ise, hiyalüronidaz, kollajenaz ve elastaz inhibisyonu ile belirlenmiştir. TG, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC27853 ve Escherichia coli ATCC25922'ye karşı antibakteriyel aktivite göstermiştir. Sonuçlar TG ve LBG'nin DPPH temizleme (sırasıyla %21.0 ve %17.6) ve H2O2 radikal temizleme (sırasıyla %59.4 ve %79.0) aktiviteleri de dahil olmak üzere antioksidan özelliklere sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Polisakkaritler, PT ve aPTT'de önemli azalma göstermiştir. Test edilen iki polisakkarit arasından LBG, 10 mg/mL konsantrasyonda, önemli hiyalüronidaz ve kollajenaz inhibisyon aktivitesi göstermiştir. Bu bulgular, bu doğal polisakkaritlerin yara iyileşmesini desteklemek için kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir.

0000-0001-7676-542X WOS: 000446727600003 PubMed ID: 30121675 The aim of this study is to demonstrate and compare the differentiation, proliferation, migration and inflammatory behavior of dental pulp- and bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (DP-MSCs and BM-MSCs) in response to a Hypericum perforatum ethanol extract. Using xCELLigence, a real-time monitoring system, a dose of 10 mu g/mL was found to be the most efficient concentration for vitality. The IC50 values and doubling time were calculated. The results showed that H. perforatum L. was able to accelerate osteogenic differentiation in DP-MSCs, but calcium granulation was impaired in BM-MSCs. H. perforatum L.-induced migration increased when compared to the TNF-alpha-induced migration in a Transwell migration assay, and the IL-6 cytokine levels between cells also differed. It can be suggested that tissue memory is an important factor in MSCs, and that they differ in their response to external factors. In conclusion, H. perforatum L. can be considered an excellent osteoinductive agent for DP-MSCs but should not be used for BM-MSCs. Tissue-specific osteoinductive agents should be discussed in future studies. (C) 2018 S. Abstract

This research was performed to control the antioxidant activity, mutagenicity and antimutagenic effect of Mentha longifolia (L.) ssp. longifolia essential oil (EO), which is considered as a possible ingredient when producing healthy food. The antiradical activity was established using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl radical) and β-carotene/linoleic acid bleaching assays. The total phenolic content in the EO was evaluated by Folin Ciocalteau method (FCR). Ames Salmonella/microsome mutagenicity assay was applied to detect possible mutagenic and antimutagenic behavior. Our observations reveal that the IC50 value for DPPH radicals was 5.27 ± 0.13 mg/mL. The total antioxidant efficiency increased with an increase in the concentration of the EO, and IC50 value 11.7 ± 0.21 mg/mL. The total of phenolics was 186 ± 8.9 mg/g gallic acid equivalent/EO. Also, any concentrations of the EO used did not show mutagenic action but exhibited strong antimutagenic effects at 10.0-4.0 µg/plate concentrations. This research proposes that because of the antioxidant and antimutagenic characteristics, the EO is very advantageous and significant to the company’s manufacturing food additives., Bu araştırma sağlıklı yiyecek üretirken olası bir katkı maddesi olarak düşünülen Mentha longifolia (L.) ssp. longifolia uçucu yağının (EO) antioksidan aktivitesi, mutajenitesi ve antimutajenik etkisini kontrol etmek için gerçekleştirilmiştir.
