Typhlodromina conspicua (Garman) (Acari: Phytoseiidae) and the genus Typhlodromina are reported from Türkiye for the first time. Many morphological details, including measurements of dorsal setae, were missing in its original description. In addition, there are inconsistencies regarding the dorsal setal lengths and number of macrosetae on leg IV among the redescriptions of this species by different authors. Most importantly, we observed five setae (pd absent) on trochanter I of this species, compared to six in many groups of the subfamily Typhlodrominae, which have been mainly reported from the Palearctic region. Therefore, a supplementary description and new illustrations of this species are provided, based on female specimens collected from Populus deltoides and P. nigra (Salicaceae) trees in Samsun Province on the Black Sea coast. In addition, the important diagnostic characters of this species are reviewed to facilitate species delimitation. Based on our examinations of two of the six known species of the genus, it appears that Typhlodromina spp. could be elevated to the level of tribe or subfamily, based on their distinctive morphological characters. This study presents a checklist and a key encompassing 11 species of Typhlodromus Scheuten (Acari: Phytoseiidae) from Syria, derived from materials collected in this study as well as previous reports. A brief redescription, including setal measurements and some other important characters used to discriminate phytoseiid species, is provided for each species examined. Notably, the species Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) intercalaris Livshitz & Kuznetsov is reported for the first time in Syria, and redescribed based on adult specimens collected from Quercus cerris L. and Quercus infectoria G. Olivier (Fagaceae) trees in Latakia governorate. The examined specimens of this species demonstrated variation in the presence or absence of preanal pores: (1) absent on both sides; (2) present on both sides; (3) present on the left side; and (4) present on the right side. This species was considered a junior synonym of T. (A.) invectus Chant in an earlier study without examination of their type materials. We tried to find the holotype T. (A.) invectus without success. However, according to their original description, T. (A.) intercalaris is distinguishable from T. (A.) invectus by having two pairs of setae on the sternal shield, as opposed to three pairs in the latter species. Therefore, the reason for the redescription provided here is to improve diagnosis and minimize any confusion regarding the species status of the Syrian specimens. Russian species of the genus Paraseiulus Muma (Acari: Phytoseiidae) were reviewed based on the material collected in this study as well as previous literature reports. As a result, a new species, P. pseudoincognitussp. nov., collected from leaves of Ulmus sp. (Ulmaceae) in Omsk Region, Russia, was described and illustrated from adults of both sexes. Moreover, supplementary descriptions and new illustrations of four species, P. incognitus Wainstein & Arutunjan, P. soleiger (Ribaga), P. triporus (Chant & Yoshida-Shaul) and P. xiningensis (Chen & Chu) were provided, based on the newly collected specimens to facilitate species delimitation. In addition, P. intermixtus Kolodochka was proposed as a new junior synonym of P. soleiger, and both P. trimediosetus (Xin, Liang & Ke) and P. inobservatus Kolodochka were synonymized with P. xiningensis. A new species, Galendromus (Mugidromus) agrestesp. nov., was described and illustrated, based on adults of both sexes. Specimens were collected on plants in an Altitudinal Atlantic Forest area of the Caatinga biome, located in the Agreste region of the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. Two new species of the genus Typhlodromus Scheuten, Typhlodromus (Typhlodromus) dombayensis Khaustov and Döker sp. nov. and Typhlodromus (Typhlodromus) kurganensis Khaustov and Döker sp. nov. are described and illustrated based on material collected in Caucasus and Kurgan provinces, Russia, respectively. In addition, a little known species, Typhlodromus (Typhlodromus) olympicus Papadoulis and Emmanouel, is re-described and discovered for the first time after its original description. In this paper, a new species of Kuzinellus Wainstein, K. gabonensis sp. nov., is described based on specimens collected in Gabon. This new species is morphologically similar to K. querellus (Ueckermann & Loots), but it can be distinguished mainly by the knobbed tip of the dorsal setae Z4, spermatheca shape and by its possession of more than 15% divergence in the DNA barcode region of COI. The genus Leonseius Chant & McMurtry (Phytoseiidae: Typhlodrominae) was proposed to accommodate Typhloseiopsis regularisDe Leon, 1965, a species with a troubled taxonomic history that was previously classified in the genera Typhlodromus Scheuten, Diadromus Athias-Henriot and Chanteius Wainstein. Due to its Amblyseius-like appearance (long s4, Z4 and Z5, most other setae minute; atypical for a typhlodromine), the poor descriptions of reproductive structures (spermatheca, spermatodactyl), and probably also because at the time it was a monotypic genus, researchers over the years have based the species-level identification of Leonseius regularis mainly on dorsal and ventral idiosomal chaetotaxy and setal length. In a survey of phytoseiid mites conducted in cacao plantations (Theobroma cacao L.: Malvaceae) of the municipality of Ilhéus, Bahia, northeastern Brazil, we identified two distinct morphotypes among specimens initially identified as L. regularis. Herein we provide new morphological data for L. regularis to complement the original description and previous redescriptions, and then describe Leonseius elbanhawyi Carvalho, Ferragut & Oliveira sp. nov., from cacao, distinguishing it from L. regularis by its spermatheca and spermatodactyl. Predatory mites belonging to family Phytoseiidae (Acari: Mesostigmata) have received great attention. The subgenus Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) De Leon is one of the largest and complicated group in the family Phytoseiidae. There are 11 species of Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) reported in Taiwan so far and eight of them described by Y.H. Tseng. In addition, all specimens including types are lost after his retirement. The undetailed descriptions and the simple illustrations caused some difficulties in proper identifications of Taiwanese species. In this study, six species previously described from Taiwan that follows T. (A.) changi, T. (A.) gracilentus, T. (A.) lanyuensis, and T. (A.) neocrassus, T. (A.) obesus, T. (A.) tridentiger, are re-discovered. In addition, three species, T. (A.) bambusae, T. (A.) chinensis, and T. (A.) serrulatus are reported for the first time for Taiwanese fauna. We also provided the first description of male T. (A.) bambusae. This study reports the results of a survey carried out in the Ucka Nature Park in the northeastern part of Croatia. It reports for the first time a list of species belonging to the family Phytoseiidae from Croatia, as until now, only one species was known from this country. Seventeen species are reported, one of them being new to science. This species belongs to the genus Typhlo- dromus subgenus Typhlodromus in the subfamily Typhlodrominae: Typhlodromus (Typhlodromus) octogenipilus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
