İnsanoğlu, yaşantısı içerisinde yer alan ve büyük bir bölümünde de etkileşim içerisinde bulunduğu bitkileri tanıyabilmek için onlara özel adlar vermiştir. Bu adları verirken de çoğunlukla her topluluğun kendi dilindeki adları kullandığı görülür. Yurdumuzda da bitkilerin adlandırılmasında yöreselliğin önemli etkenlerden biri olduğu bilinmektedir. Tarih boyunca farklı kültürlere ev sahipliği yapan Anadolu’ da da yöreden yöreye farklılıklar gösteren, çok çeşitli bitki adları kullanılmaktadır. Bu durum Nevşehir'in güney ilçelerinde (Acıgöl, Derinkuyu, Gülşehir, Nevşehir-Merkez, Ürgüp) halkın yararlandığı ve yaşamında geleneksel yeri olan bitkileri belirlemek üzere yapılan etnobotanik araştırmada da belirgin şekilde ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Haziran 2012 - Mart 2014 tarihleri arasında ilçe merkezleri ile bu ilçelere bağlı 12 belde ve 81 köyün hepsine gidilerek arazi çalışmaları yapılmış, yöreden 169 taksona ait 444 bitki örneği toplanmış ve bu bitkilere ait çeşitli etnobotanik bilgiler derlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada yörede etnobotanik değeri olduğu saptanan ve yabani olarak bulunan 150 taksondan 146’sının yöresel adları da ele alınmış ve bu makale kapsamında değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, yörede 146 taksona ait toplam 191 yöresel ad sunulmuştur. Bu taksonlardan 98’inin Nevşehir’de, 9’unun ise Türkiye’de yöresel adı ilk kez kaydedilmiştir. Bitkiler Latince adına göre alfabetik olarak liste halinde metin içinde belirtilmiştir. Ayrıca, yörede yetiştirilen 42 bitkiye ait 55 yöresel ad sunulmuştur. In this ethnobotanical research study local plant names at districts of Tunceli (Ovacik, Pertek, Pülümür, Hozat, Mazgirt) are presented. As a result of this study, 491 vernacular names belonging to 306 taxa were identified and the local names of 65 taxa were recorded for the first time. Plants are listed alphabetically within the text by Latin names, ÖzetBu çalışmada Tunceli’nin Ovacık, Pertek, Pülümür, Hozat, Mazgirt ilçelerinde yaptığımız etnobotanik araştırmalarda saptanan yöresel bitki adları sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın sonucuna göre 306 bitki taksonuna ait 491 yöresel ad tespit edilmiş olup, saptadığımız 65 taksonun yöresel adı ilk kez bu çalışma ile belirlenmiştir. Rubus sanctus Schreber bitkisinin toprak üstü kısımlarından PE, CHCl3 , EtOAc ekstreleri elde edilmiştir. EtOAc ekstresinden triterpenoid yapısında bir madde izole edilmiştir. Turn ekstreler ve saf madde Brine Shrimp (Artemia salina) yontemiyle kontrol edilmiş ve daha sonra mikrobiyolojik olarak incelenmiştir., PE, CHCl3 , EtOAc extracts were obtained from the aerial parts of Rubus sanctus Schreber. A triterpenoid compound was isolated from the EtOAc extract. All extracts and the pure compound were controlled with the Brine Shrimp (Artemia salina) method. After that microbiological methods were applied to the extracts and the pure compound.

A comprehensive ethnobotanical study has been conducted in Bayramic in the western part of Turkey. This paper includes folk medicinal plants and ethnopharmacological information obtained during this ethnobotanical study. The aim of this study is to collect and identify the plants used by the local people for therapeutic purposes and to reveal information about traditional herbal medicine. The materials of this study are the plant specimens collected during the fieldwork. The information was obtained through open and semi-structured interviews from the local people. In addition, cultural importance index (CI), medicinal importance index (MI) and use report (UR) were calculated. Eighty-nine folk medicinal plants belonging to 39 families were identified in this study. Among them, 71 species are wild, and 18 species are cultivated plants. The most common families are Lamiaceae (25%), Rosaceae (9.1%) and Asteraceae (9.1%). Consequently, 192 medicinal uses (remedies) belonging to 89 taxa were recorded. According to the use reports (UR), the most important medicinal plants were Allium sativum (92 UR), Lavandula stoechas subsp. stoechas (89 UR), Vitex agnus-castus (89 UR), Pinus brutia (87 UR), Olea europaea subsp. europaea (83 UR), Sideritis trojana (83 UR) and Cydonia oblonga (80 UR). Infusion (53.4%) is the most common preparation method in the research area. Traditional folk remedies are still important and used in therapy, especially in the villages in mountainous areas.

This study was made to reveal the plants used as traditional folk medicine in Usak in 2013. The specimens of the plants used as folk remedies have been collected and the information about the local names, the part(s) used, the ailments treated, the therapeutic effect, the preparation, the methods of administration, and the duration of treatment were recorded. The plant specimens are kept in the Herbarium of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Marmara University. As a result of identification of the plant specimens, 38 species, used as a traditional folk medicine in Usak, have been determined. According to the majority of the plants which have similar usages, the plants were mostly used for gastrointestinal system diseases, respiratory system diseases and urinary system diseases.

The aim of this study is to represent the wild edible plants of southern part of Nevsehir (Acigol, Derinkuyu, Gulsehir, Nevsehir-Central District and Urgup) where is situated at the center of the region as named Cappadocia in Turkey. This study which is a part of a comprehensive ethnobotanical research, was carried out in the 98 settlement centers (including 81 villages) of the southern part of Nevsehir. Three excursions were made in several periods between June 2012-March 2014 lasting for 61 days in total. The information about local names, used part(s) and usages of the plants, was obtained from the native people living in the research area by personal interviews. The plant specimens which are the materials of this study, are kept in the Herbarium of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Marmara University (MARE). According to the results of this ethnobotanical study, total 165 taxa used for various purposes, were determined and 71 taxa (belong to 19 families) of which were utilized as wild edible plants in Nevsehir. The usages of these plants were recorded as: food stuff (59 taxa), herbal tea (14 taxa) and spice (3 taxa). All of the 71 taxa utilized as wild edible plants in Nevsehir and 3 taxa (Brassica deflexa, Cerasus incana var. velutina, Silene subconica) of them in Turkey, were recorded for the first time. Consequently, there is an important role of the plants on nutrition of the local people especially in spring time.
