Yurdun birçok yanında yayınlanan belli başlı gazete ve dergilerde neşredilen çeşitli yazıları da bunlara eklenince Hasan Basri Çantay'ın oldukça verimli bir yazar olduğu ortaya çıkar., Hasan Basri Çantay is the exact interpretation of his very name. With one word; he has been the intellectual in the crowds' hearts. He is known as a hero in those times of do or die. He is one of the remarkable examples of heroes to mark patriotism, self sacrifice, struggling against the severities - virtues which have been more commonly seen especially in the last two centuries. Balıkesir, besides having a significant role in the history of the War of Independence, also played an important role in Anatolia's staying Turkish Homeland during the war and it has bred many esteemed people in various fields throughout the history. Hasan Basri Çantay is one of these people. About Balıkesir, Hasan Basri stated: " Look at the far and near history: There have been no state or nation traitors from Balıkesir. " Hasan Basri, with his writings at Tanyeri Paper of which he has been the managing editor, continued his career during the National Movement. After the Independence, he has published his writings about various subjects in Zafer-i Milli, Türk Dili Papers. Moreover, there have been many essays of him in Sebilürreşad, Sırat-ı Müstakım and the Islam Magazine which has been in literary life in 1950s in Ankara. With his additional literary works which have been published in the well-known papers and magazines all around the country, Hasan Basri has proved himself as a productive author.
