This study was designed to examine the development of pre-service teachers' knowledge of concept cartoons for three years within the scope of the courses they took. For three years, pre-service teachers took courses in scientific research methods, instructional technologies and material development, special teaching methods and teaching practice. During these lessons, the learning levels of pre-service teachers towards concept cartoons were examined. In the analysis of the data, the concept cartoons evaluation rubric and the concept cartoons application observation chart were used. Although they were not able to prepare concept cartoons and make applications at the expert level, it was concluded that the education the pre-service teachers received was effective. It is thought that arrangements are necessary to ensure the continuation of communication between teachers and lecturers.

The purpose of the research is to develop a valid and reliable attitude scale that can measure the attitudes of math and science teachers (315) and teacher candidates (105) towards mistakes and instant feedback. In the validity studies, the exploratory factor analysis was made with the SPS1S 8.0 package program after that the confirmatory factor analysis was made with Lisrel 8.8 software. To develop the scale; 1. Creation of Item Pool, 2. Obtaining Expert Opinion, 3. Creation of Pre-Trial Form, 4. Factor Analysis is made. According to factor analysis; Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) rate; 0.808; Bartlett test result: 2148,354; Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient for the whole scale: 0.829. According to confirmatory factor analysis: Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) 0.022 (<0.05); p-Value for Test of Close Fit .00 (<0.05), standardized root mean square residual (SRMR) 0.014, Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) 0.75, Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index (AGFI) 0.69; Normed Fit Index (NFI) 0.91; Relative Fit Index (RFI) 0.78; Incremental Fix Index (IFI): 0.83; Parsimony Goodness of Fit Index (PGFI): 0.62; Degrees of Freedom: 760; Root Mean Square Residual (RMR): 2.07 and NonNormed Fit Index (NNFI): 0.88. According to research findings, attitude scale is valid and reliable so it can be used to determine math and science teachers and teacher candidates positive and negative attitudes toward mistake and giving instant feedback to mistake.

In the study Cabri was used for teaching geometry at 4th grade. To investigate students' geometry level, a semi-experimental method was used. In the test group, geometry subjects are taught using Cabri. A multiple choice test was used to collect data as pre and post test. Answers were assigned as 1 to correct, 0 to wrong answers. Data were analyzed using SPSS. It is found that teaching geometry at 4th grade with Cabri has no mean affect on the students learning on information level compared with the traditional education but it is determined that there is a meaningful difference between the other levels. The aim of this study is to determine the primary school teachers' views related to the new Turkish primary school mathematics curriculum which was put into practice in the 2005-2006 academic years. A questionnaire developed by the researchers, consists of open ended and closed items, was applied to 60 primary school teachers selected randomly from among classroom teachers in Trabzon, one of the cities in the west Karadeniz Regions of Turkey. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study show that in-service training seminars administered about the new mathematics curriculum were insufficient in terms of their duration, organizations, model activities, and did not provide teachers with sufficient experiences about the new curriculum. It is found that teachers have been aware of distinguishing the new and old mathematics curriculum sufficiently but, teachers have needed knowledge and skills of developing teaching material and implementing student-centered instruction and using alternative assessment methods.(Contains 4 tables.)
