The thesis deals with the issue of further education of non-teaching staff which falls within the field of employee care. Today's society places ever higher demands on workers and organizations in the field of education, so it is necessary for schools to focus on the continuing education not only for teaching staff but also for other workers, so-called non-teaching staff. These workers also need to maintain a certain status in society which they will only be able to do if they have the opportunity to develop and further their education. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first chapter introduces the field of lifelong learning, formal, non- formal, informal education and andragogy. The next chapter focuses on the specificities of adult education. It also describes the needs of the motivation of adult individuals to learn. The last section then introduces the barriers that greatly affect adult education. The last chapter defines the concepts of education, development and learning. It also deals with the analysis and identification of the training needs of the workforce and last but not least, the planning of workforce training which is essential in any organization. The practical part consists of qualitative research conducted through interviews with non-teaching staff in the...

Most kindergartens in the Czech Republic are managed by a headmaster/ headmistress and their deputies (depending on the size of the kindergarten). There are also some kindergartens which fall within the management of a primary, or even a secondary school in the particular municipality, and the function of a headmaster/ headmistress is performed by the primary/ secondary school principal. If that is the case, the kindergarten headteacher position is introduced, who is not a deputy but is in charge of the kindergarten and responsible to the principal. This thesis examines the competencies of a kindergarten headteacher as an educational institution leader. The aim of the thesis is to research kindergarten headteachers' job competencies and job description in South-Bohemia Region (Jihočeský kraj). In the theoretical section, the thesis focuses on a headteacher's position, what professional requirements there are in such a position; what the measure of participation in the organisation management, and the headteacher's approach towards interpersonal relationship in the workplace is. The thesis furthermore discusses the concerns of kindergarten management, and what the term educational process includes. The thesis aims to characterize the importance of the application of the competency model and competency-based management in an organizational setting as part of the evaluation process and as a basic and indispensable tool for the management of continuing professional education. Emphasis will be placed on accentuating the absence of a relevant methodology for the preparation and implementation of effective training in companies, especially corporations. It is important to focus on the interconnectedness of the strategy/processes/competence triad as an effective and efficient chain for meaningful and sustainable management and workforce development. The thesis will position itself against across-the-board training as a corporate benefit by taking an investment-based development approach and giving significant consideration to the newly arriving Generations "Y" and "Z". The thesis will look at the new generations, or rather their setting and approach to development and training in more detail. Especially because in a few years these two new generations will become the most economically dominant worldwide. With this comes several questions about their sustainability, the life cycle of employees and at the same time ensuring their quality lifelong development. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, numerous measures needed to be adopted, which have profoundly transformed and influenced the way teachers perform their job tasks.
