Aerodynamic collision avoidance manoeuvres provide an opportunity for satellites in Low Earth Orbits to reduce the risk during close encounters. With rising numbers of satellites and objects in orbit, satellites experience close encounters more frequently. Especially those satellites without thrusting capabilities face the problem of not being able to performimpulsive evasive manoeuvres. For satellites in Low Earth Orbits, though, perturbing forces due to aerodynamic drag may be used to influence their trajectories, thus offering a possibility to avoid collisions. This work introduces a tool for the analysis of aerodynamic collision avoidance manoeuvres. Current space-weather data are employed to estimate the density the satellite encounters. Achievable in-track separation distances following a variation of the ballistic coefficient through a change in attitude are then derived by evaluating an analytical equation from literature. Considering additional constraints for the attitude, e.g., charging phases, and uncertainties in the used parameters, the influence of a manoeuvre on the conjunction geometry and the collision probability is examined. The university satellite Flying Laptop of the University of Stuttgart is used as an exemplary satellite for analysis, which show the general effectiveness of evasive manoeuvres employing aerodynamic drag. First manoeuvring strategies can be deducted and the influence of parameter uncertainties is assessed., Comment: 18 pages, 13 figures

Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is the cornerstone of systemic therapy for patients with intermediate or high-risk localized, recurrent, and metastatic prostate cancer. Although generally well tolerated, ADT can lead to short- and long-term adverse events that can worsen the quality of life of patients with PC. In the last decade, the introduction of novel generation androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPI) has resulted in an improvement in the prognosis of patients with metastatic PC when used in combination with ADT. The use of ARPI in increasingly early stages of the disease determines a longer exposure of patients to these treatments. Although ARPIs are normally well-tolerated drugs, they generally cause an increase in toxicity compared to ADT alone, being able to worsen some adverse events already induced by ADT or leading to the development of specific side effects. Although there are no specific treatments for all the adverse events induced by hormonal therapies, it is essential to know the possible toxicities induced by the different treatments and to start procedures to prevent and/or recognize and consequently treat them early in order to not compromise the quality of life of the patients with PC. The aim of this review is to describe the adverse events induced by hormonal therapies. We will first describe the side effects induced by both ADT and ARPI and then the specific adverse events of the different ARPIs. Furthermore, we will try to highlight the possible therapeutic options to prevent or mitigate the toxicity induced by hormone therapies in order to improve the quality of life of the patients with PC.Keywords: prostate cancer, androgen deprivation therapy, androgen pathway inhibitors, management of adverse events

However, in recent years, several treatments have been shown to improve the outcome of CRPC patients both in the non-metastatic (nmCRPC) as well as the metastatic setting (mCRPC). In nmCRPC patients with a PSA doubling time < 10 months, the addition of enzalutamide, apalutamide and darolutamide to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) compared to ADT alone resulted in improved metastases free (MFS) and overall survival (OS). For mCRPC patients, several treatment options have been shown to be effective: two taxane based chemotherapies (docetaxel and cabazitaxel), two androgen-receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPI) (abiraterone and enzalutamide), two radiopharmaceutical agents (radium 223 and 177Lutetium-PSMA-617), one immunotherapy treatment (sipuleucel-T) and two poly ADP-ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitors (olaparib and rucaparib). Pembrolizumab is US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved in all MSI high solid tumors, although a very small proportion of prostate cancer patients harboring this characteristic will benefit. Despite having a broad variety of treatments available, there are still several unmet clinical needs for CRPC. The objective of this review was to describe the therapeutic landscape in CRPC patients, to identify criteria for selecting patients for specific treatments currently available, and to address the current challenges in this setting. Keywords: prostate cancer, castration resistant prostate cancer, non-metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer, metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer

Results from experiments on DIII-D [J. L. Luxon, Fusion Sci. Technol. 48, 828 (2005)] aimed at developing high β steady-state operating scenarios with high- q min confirm that fast-ion transport is a critical issue for advanced tokamak development using neutral beam injection current drive. In DIII-D, greater than 11 MW of neutral beam heating power is applied with the intent of maximizing β N and the noninductive current drive. However, in scenarios with q min > 2 that target the typical range of q 95 = 5-7 used in next-step steady-state reactor models, Alfvén eigenmodes cause greater fast-ion transport than classical models predict. This enhanced transport reduces the absorbed neutral beam heating power and current drive and limits the achievable βN. In contrast, similar plasmas except with q min just above 1 have approximately classical fast-ion transport. Experiments that take q min > 3 plasmas to higher β P with q 95 = 11-12 for testing long pulse operation exhibit regimes of better than expected thermal confinement. Compared to the standard high- q min scenario, the high β P cases have shorter slowing-down time and lower ∇ β fast, and this reduces the drive for Alfvénic modes, yielding nearly classical fast-ion transport, high values of normalized confinement, β N, and noninductive current fraction. These results suggest DIII-D might obtain better performance in lower- q 95, high- q min plasmas using broader neutral beam heating profiles and increased direct electron heating power to lower the drive for Alfvén eigenmodes.

The seven Australasian genera of blister beetles (Coleoptera:Meloidae: Nemognathinae) are reviewed. Included are a key to genera, generic synopses and descriptions of two new genera of Nemognathini, Australozonitis and Pulchrazonitis, as well as a new monotypic tribe Palaestrini, which features a bauplan of male genitalia unique not only to the subfamily Nemognathinae but to the entire family. The genus Palaestra is redefined to include several Australasian, Asian and African species previously assigned to Zonitis. Exceptional variation of male genitalia encountered in the Palaestrini challenges current subfamily definitions, which are partly based on male genitalic structure and correlated sexual behaviour. Generic synopses include synonyms, type species, number of species, geographic distribution, significant references on taxonomy, life history and morphology, and additional notes. Forty-six new combinations are proposed for species previously in Zonitis. Distribution and relationship of tribes within the Nemognathinae, as well as the biogeography of the Australasian Meloidae are outlined and discussed. © 2013 CSIRO.

The initial experiments on off-axis neutral beam injection into high noninductive current fraction (f NI), high normalized pressure (β N) discharges in DIII-D [J. L. Luxon, Fusion Sci. Technol. 48, 828 (2005)] have demonstrated changes in the plasma profiles that increase the limits to plasma pressure from ideal low-n instabilities. The current profile is broadened and the minimum value of the safety factor (q min) can be maintained above 2 where the profile of the thermal component of the plasma pressure is found to be broader. The off-axis neutral beam injection results in a broadening of the fast-ion pressure profile. Confinement of the thermal component of the plasma is consistent with the IPB98(y,2) scaling, but global confinement with q min > 2 is below the ITER-89P scaling, apparently as a result of enhanced transport of fast ions. A 0-D model is used to examine the parameter space for f NI = 1 operation and project the requirements for high performance steady-state discharges. Fully noninductive solutions are found with 4 < β N < 5 and bootstrap current fraction near 0.5 for a weak shear safety factor profile. A 1-D model is used to show that a f NI = 1 discharge at the top of this range of β N that is predicted stable to n = 1, 2, and 3 ideal MHD instabilities is accessible through further broadening of the current and pressure profiles with off-axis neutral beam injection and electron cyclotron current drive. © 2013 AIP Publishing LLC.

Sawtooth control using electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) has been demonstrated in ITER-like plasmas with a large fast ion fraction, wide q=1 radius and long uncontrolled sawtooth period in DIII-D. The sawtooth period is minimized when the ECCD resonance is just inside the q=1 surface. Sawtooth destabilization using driven current inside q=1 avoids the triggering of performance-degrading neoclassical tearing modes (NTMs), even at much higher pressure than required in the ITER baseline scenario. Operation at N=3 without 3/2 or 2/1 NTMs has been achieved in ITER demonstration plasmas when sawtooth control is applied using only modest ECCD power. Numerical modelling qualitatively confirms that the achieved driven current changes the local magnetic shear sufficiently to compensate for the stabilizing influence of the energetic particles in the plasma core. © 2012 IAEA, Vienna.

- Abstract
The maintenance of homeostasis in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is ensured by the presence of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which regulates important physiological activities, such as motility, permeability, fluid secretion, immunity, and visceral pain sensation. Beside its direct effects on the GI system, the ECS in the central nervous system indirectly regulates GI functions, such as food intake and energy balance. Mounting evidence suggests that the ECS may play an important role in modulating central neurotransmission which affects GI functioning. It has also been found that the interaction between the ECS and microbiota affects brain and gut activity in a bidirectional manner, and a number of studies demonstrate that there is a strong relationship between GI dysfunctions and mood disorders. Thus, microbiota can regulate the tone of the ECS. Conversely, changes in intestinal ECS tone may influence microbiota composition. In this mini-review, we propose the concept of neuro-gastro-cannabinology as a novel and alternative paradigm for studying and treating GI disorders that affect mood, as well as mood disorders that imbalance GI physiology. This concept suggests the use of prebiotics or probiotics for improving the tone of the ECS, as well as the use of phytocannabinoids or endocannabinoid-like molecules, such as palmitoylethanolamide, to restore the normal intestinal microbiota. This approach may be effective in ameliorating the negative effects of GI dysfunctions on mood and/or the effects of mood disorders on digestive health.

- Abstract
DIII-D physics research addresses critical challenges for the operation of ITER and the next generation of fusion energy devices. This is done through a focus on innovations to provide solutions for high performance long pulse operation, coupled with fundamental plasma physics understanding and model validation, to drive scenario development by integrating high performance core and boundary plasmas. Substantial increases in off-axis current drive efficiency from an innovative top launch system for EC power, and in pressure broadening for Alfven eigenmode control from a co-/counter-I p steerable off-axis neutral beam, all improve the prospects for optimization of future long pulse/steady state high performance tokamak operation. Fundamental studies into the modes that drive the evolution of the pedestal pressure profile and electron vs ion heat flux validate predictive models of pedestal recovery after ELMs. Understanding the physics mechanisms of ELM control and density pumpout by 3D magnetic perturbation fields leads to confident predictions for ITER and future devices. Validated modeling of high-Z shattered pellet injection for disruption mitigation, runaway electron dissipation, and techniques for disruption prediction and avoidance including machine learning, give confidence in handling disruptivity for future devices. For the non-nuclear phase of ITER, two actuators are identified to lower the L-H threshold power in hydrogen plasmas. With this physics understanding and suite of capabilities, a high poloidal beta optimized-core scenario with an internal transport barrier that projects nearly to Q = 10 in ITER at ∼8 MA was coupled to a detached divertor, and a near super H-mode optimized-pedestal scenario with co-I p beam injection was coupled to a radiative divertor. The hybrid core scenario was achieved directly, without the need for anomalous current diffusion, using off-axis current drive actuators. Also, a controller to assess proximity to stability limit

- Abstract
Patients with advanced prostate cancer (APC) may be at greater risk for severe illness, hospitalisation, or death from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) due to male gender, older age, potential immunosuppressive treatments, or comorbidities. Thus, the optimal management of APC patients during the COVID-19 pandemic is complex. In October 2021, during the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC) 2021, the 73 voting members of the panel members discussed and voted on 13 questions on this topic that could help clinicians make treatment choices during the pandemic. There was a consensus for full COVID-19 vaccination and booster injection in APC patients. Furthermore, the voting results indicate that the expert's treatment recommendations are influenced by the vaccination status: the COVID-19 pandemic altered management of APC patients for 70% of the panellists before the vaccination was available but only for 25% of panellists for fully vaccinated patients. Most experts (71%) were less likely to use docetaxel and abiraterone in unvaccinated patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. For fully vaccinated patients with high-risk localised prostate cancer, there was a consensus (77%) to follow the usual treatment schedule, whereas in unvaccinated patients, 55% of the panel members voted for deferring radiation therapy. Finally, there was a strong consensus for the use of telemedicine for monitoring APC patients. PATIENT SUMMARY: In the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference 2021, the panellists reached a consensus regarding the recommendation of the COVID-19 vaccine in prostate cancer patients and use of telemedicine for monitoring these patients.

Substantial increases in off-axis current drive efficiency from an innovative top launch system for EC power, and in pressure broadening for Alfven eigenmode control from a co-/counter-I (p) steerable off-axis neutral beam, all improve the prospects for optimization of future long pulse/steady state high performance tokamak operation. With this physics understanding and suite of capabilities, a high poloidal beta optimized-core scenario with an internal transport barrier that projects nearly to Q = 10 in ITER at similar to 8 MA was coupled to a detached divertor, and a near super H-mode optimized-pedestal scenario with co-I (p) beam injection was coupled to a radiative divertor. The hybrid core scenario was achieved directly, without the need for anomalous current diffusion, using off-axis current drive actuators. Also, a controller to assess proximity to stab

Patient summary: In the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference 2021, the panellists reached a consensus regarding the recommendation of the COVID-19 vaccine in prostate cancer patients and use of telemedicine for monitoring these patients., NA

- Abstract
Rivers serve many societal functions and are one of the most intensively human influenced ecosystems worldwide, and, due to their importance, are included under the monitoring programs of the Water Framework Directive across Europe. Macroinvertebrates play an important role when monitoring running waters for the assessment of their environmental quality due to their reliability as bioindicators and utility in long-term studies. Macroinvertebrates do not constitute a systematic unit but they are formed by a set of different taxa, grouped according to taxonomic ranks, size and habitat preferences. They represent the base of the aquatic food chain, serving as a food source for amphibians, birds, reptiles, fish and humans, and contributing in the organic matter processing. Despite the large amount of data collected on Italian river macroinvertebrates and the increased interest in the study of this group, only few data are available for research scientist and managers. In this paper, we collected and homogenized knowledge on the presence, distribution and abundances of macroinvertebrates taxa inhabiting the River Po catchment (Northern Italy) in the last decade. The data set includes 130,727 records collected between 2007 and 2018 including 143 taxa of macroinvertebrates, mostly identified at family rank level. Moreover, the data set provides information on the geographic distribution of these families and their abundance by sub-catchment, altitude, meso- and micro-habitat.

The structure of the edge plasma in a magnetic confinement system has a strong impact on the overall plasma performance. We uncover for the first time a magnetic-field-direction dependent density shelf, i.e., local flattening of the density radial profile near the magnetic separatrix, in high confinement plasmas with low edge collisionality in the DIII-D tokamak. The density shelf is correlated with a doubly peaked density profile near the divertor target plate, which tends to occur for operation with the ion B×â‡B drift direction away from the X-point, as currently employed for DIII-D advanced tokamak scenarios. This double-peaked divertor plasma profile is connected via the E×B drifts, arising from a strong radial electric field induced by the radial electron temperature gradient near the divertor target. The drifts lead to the reversal of the poloidal flow above the divertor target, resulting in the formation of the density shelf. The edge density shelf can be further enhanced at higher heating power, preventing large, periodic bursts of the plasma, i.e., edge-localized modes, in the edge region, consistent with ideal magnetohydrodynamics calculations.

- Abstract
Focused gas migration through the gas hydrate stability zone in vertical gas conduits is a global phenomenon. The process can lead to concentrated gas hydrate formation and seafloor gas seepage, which influences seafloor biodiversity and ocean biogeochemistry. However, much is unknown about how gas and gas hydrate co-exist within and around gas conduits. We present seismic imaging of the gas hydrate system beneath a four-way closure anticlinal ridge at New Zealand's southern Hikurangi subduction margin. Gas has accumulated beneath the base of gas hydrate stability to a thickness of up to ∼240 m, which has ultimately led to hydraulic fracturing and propagation of a vertical gas conduit to the seafloor. Despite the existence of an array of normal faults beneath the ridge, these structures are not exploited as long-range gas flow conduits. Directly beneath the conduit, and extending upward from the regional base of gas hydrate stability, is a broad zone characterized by both negative- and positive-polarity reflections. We interpret this zone as a volume of sediment hosting both gas hydrate and free gas, that developed due to partial gas trapping beneath a mass transport deposit. Similar highly reflective zones have been identified at the bases of other gas conduits, but they are not intrinsic to all gas conduits through gas hydrate systems. We suggest that pronounced intervening sealing units within the gas hydrate stability zone determine whether or not they form.

- Abstract
Quantitative characterization of gas hydrate systems on continental margins from seismic data is challenging, especially in regions where no well logs are available. However, probabilistic seismic inversion provides an effective means for constraining the physical properties of subsurface strata in such settings and analyzing the variability related to the results. We have applied a workflow for the characterization of two deepwater gas hydrate reservoirs east of New Zealand, where high concentrations of gas hydrate have been inferred previously. We estimate porosity and gas hydrate saturation in the reservoirs from multichannel seismic data through a two-step procedure based on geostatistical seismic and Bayesian petrophysical inversion built on a rock-physics model for gas hydrate-bearing marine sediments. We find that the two reservoirs together host between 2.45×105 and 1.72×106 m3 of gas hydrate, with the best estimate at 9.68×105 m3. This estimate provides a first-order assessment for further gas hydrate evaluations in the region. The two-step statistically based seismic inversion method is an effective approach for characterizing gas hydrate systems from long-offset seismic reflection data.

New experiments have been conducted at DIII-D to improve the physics understanding of plasma initiation assisted by electron cyclotron (EC) wave injection, allowing better extrapolation to ITER. This has been achieved by applying an EC pulse prior to start of the inductive plasma initiation (i.e. the generation of a loop voltage). A pre-plasma was formed during the EC pulse that was characterized in terms of the maximum density and temperature. Parametric scans were performed to study the influence of the EC injected power, EC injection angle, and pre-fill gas pressure on the pre-plasma creation process. These experiments showed that pre-ionized plasma of good quality can have a significant effect on the subsequent V
loop induced plasma initiation process, i.e. a high density pre-plasma, increases the plasma current rise and speed at which ionization is achieved when the Vloop is applied. A good quality pre-plasma is one that achieved a significant degree of ionization, mainly obtained by providing sufficient ECH power in DIII-D of the order of 1Â MW. It was found that a minimum EC power of 0.5Â MW was required in DIII-D to create ionization, and this would scale to a minimum power of roughly 6.5Â MW for ITER. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published
