1. Tuning superconductivity in nanosecond laser annealed boron doped $Si_{1-x}Ge_{x}$ epilayers

Abstract

Superconductivity in ultra-doped $Si_{1-x}Ge_{x}:B$ epilayers is demonstrated by nanosecond laser doping, which allows introducing substitutional B concentrations well above the solubility limit and up to $7\,at.\%$. A Ge fraction $x$ ranging from 0 to 0.21 is incorporated in $Si:B$ : 1) through a precursor gas by Gas Immersion Laser Doping; 2) by ion implantation, followed by nanosecond laser annealing; 3) by UHV-CVD growth of a thin Ge layer, followed by nanosecond laser annealing. The 30 nm and 80 nm thick $Si_{1-x}Ge_{x}:B$ epilayers display superconducting critical temperatures $T_c$ tuned by B and Ge between 0 and 0.6 K. Within BCS weak-coupling theory, $T_c$ evolves exponentially with both the density of states and the electron-phonon potential. While B doping affects both, through the increase of the carrier density and the tensile strain, Ge incorporation allows addressing independently the lattice deformation influence on superconductivity. To estimate the lattice parameter modulation with B and Ge, Vegard's law is validated for the ternary $SiGeB$ bulk alloy by Density Functional Theory calculations. Its validity is furthermore confirmed experimentally by X-Ray Diffraction. We highlight a global linear dependence of $T_c$ vs. lattice parameter, common for both $Si:B$ and $Si_{1-x}Ge_{x}:B$, with $\delta T_c/T_c \sim 50\,\%$ for $\delta a/a \sim 1\,\%$.

Abstract

Görsel kaynaklar tarih araştırmalarında ve öğretiminde büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Tarih eğitiminde görsel kaynaklar doğası gereği soyut olan tarihi bilgiyi somutlaştırarak onu yeni kuşaklar için daha anlaşılır bir hale getirmekte aynı zamanda öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşünce ve hayal gücünün gelişmesinde yardımcı olmaktadır (Smirnova ve Romanov, 2007: 1). Öğrencilerin görsel analiz becerilerini geliştirmek sadece tarih derslerindeki kavrama ve başarı düzeyleri açısından değil aynı zamanda yaşam boyu öğrenme becerilerinin gelişimi açısından da önemlidir. Çünkü bu alanda iyi olan bir kişi, çevresinde gördüğü eylemlerin, objelerin ve sembollerin farklılığını anlayabilmekte ve onları daha doğru yorumlayabilmektedir (Alpan, 2008: 76-77). Öğrencilerin görsel analiz becerilerinin gelişiminde en önemli unsur tabi öğretmenlerdir. Görsellerin öğretmenler tarafından tarih derslerinde doğru kullanımı öğrencilerin görsel analiz ve görsel okuryazarlık becerilerini olumlu yönde etkileyecektir. Bu araştırmanın amacı tarih ve sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının görsel analiz düzeylerini tespit etmektir. Çalışmada nitel durum araştırması yöntemi ve iç içe geçmiş tek durum deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubuna Atatürk Üniversitesi Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi Tarih Eğitimi ve Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi son sınıf öğrencileri dâhil edilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış “Görsel Analiz Düzeyi” çalışma kâğıdı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının büyük çoğunluğunun tarihsel görselleri analiz ederken tanımlama düzeyindeki görevlerde dahi zorlandıkları, görseller hakkında derinlemesine ve detaylı analizler yapamadıkları, genellikle kısa ifadeler ve açıklamalar kullandıkları, akademik bir tavır sergileyemeyerek kaynağa duygusal bir bakış açısı ile taraflı bir şekilde yaklaştıkları dolayısıyla sergiledikleri görsel analiz becerilerinin aldıkları eğitime kıyasla yeterli olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Abstract: Visual resources has a great importance in historical research and teaching. Visual resources makes historical knowledge, which is abstract by nature, more understandable for new generations by making it concrete at the same time help students develop creative thinking and imagination (Smirnova ve Romanov, 2007: 1). Helping students develop visual analysis skills is necessary not only in terms of comprehension and achievement levels, but also important for the development of lifelong learning skills. A person who is good in visual analysis can easily understand the diversity of actions, objects and symbols he/she witnesses in daily life and interpret them more correctly (Alpan, 2008: 76-77). The most important element in the development of visual analysis skills of students are the teachers. The proper usage of the visuals in history lessons by teachers will have a positive impact on students’ visual analysis and visual literacy skills. The aim of this research is to determine History and Social Studies teacher candidates’ level of visual analysis skills. An embedded single-case design was used in this qualitative case study. The senior students from two departments, History Education and Social Studies Education, at Atatürk University, Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty were set as study population for his research. Required data for this study were gathered by “visual analysis level worksheet” prepared by the researchers. The results show that while analyzing historical images the majority of teacher candidates had hard time seven at identification level tasks, unable to perform in-depth and detailed analysis, use short phrases and explanations, approach resources with an non-academic, emotional and biased perspective therefor their analysis skills are inadequate compared to their level of education. 3. Constraining Non-minimal Dark Sector Scenarios with the COHERENT Neutrino Scattering Data

Abstract

Abelian dark sector scenarios embedded into the two-Higgs doublet model are scrutinized within the Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering (CE$\nu$NS) experiment, which was first measured by the COHERENT Collaboration in 2017 with an ongoing effort to improve it since then and recently released data for the CsI target in 2022. In the theoretical framework, it is assumed that there is a $U(1)$ gauge group in the dark sector with a non-zero kinetic mixing with the hypercharge field. The COHERENT data for the targets CsI and liquid argon (LAr) are treated in both single and multi bin bases to constrain the multi dimensional parameter space, spanned by the dark gauge coupling, kinetic mixing parameter and the dark photon mass, of totally seven different representative scenarios which are also compared and contrasted among each other to find out about the most sensitive one to the data. 5. Heavy $Z^\prime$ Bosons in the Secluded $U(1)^\prime$ Model at Hadron Colliders

Abstract

We study $Z'$ phenomenology at hadron colliders in an $U(1)'$ extended MSSM. We choose a $U(1)'$ model with a secluded sector, where the tension between the electroweak scale and developing a large enough mass for $Z'$ is resolved by incorporating three additional singlet superfields into the model. We perform a detailed analysis of the production, followed by decays, including into supersymmetric particles, of a $Z'$ boson with mass between 4 and 5.2 TeV, with particular emphasis on its possible discovery. We select three different scenarios consistent with the latest available experimental data and relic density constraints, and concentrate on final signals with two leptons, four leptons and six leptons. Including the SM background from processes with two, three or four vector bosons, we show the likelihood of observing a $Z^\prime$ boson is not promising for the HL-LHC at 14 TeV. Abstract

A possible manifestation of an additional light gauge boson $A^\prime$, named as Dark Photon, associated with a group $U(1)_{\rm B-L}$ is studied in neutrino electron scattering experiments. The exclusion plot on the coupling constant $g_{\rm B-L}$ and the dark photon mass $M_{A^\prime}$ is obtained. It is shown that contributions of interference term between the dark photon and the Standard Model are important. The interference effects are studied and compared with for data sets from TEXONO, GEMMA, BOREXINO, LSND as well as CHARM II experiments. 9. SUSY-induced FCNC top-quark processes at the Large Hadron Collider

Abstract

We systematically calculate various flavor-changing neutral-current top-quark processes induced by supersymmetry at the Large Hadron Collider, which include five decay modes and six production channels. To reveal the characteristics of these processes, we first compare the dependence of the rates for these channels on the relevant supersymmetric parameters, then we scan the whole parameter space to find their maximal rates, including all the direct and indirect current experimental constraints on the scharm-stop flavor mixings. We find that, under all these constraints, only a few channels, through cg->t at parton-level and t-> ch, may be observable at the Large Hadron Collider., Comment: Version in PRD (refs updated)

Abstract

We study the CP violating asymmetry, the forward-backward asymmetry of the lepton pair and the CP asymmetry in the forward backward asymmetry for the exclusive decay $B --> K^* \tau^+ \tau^- in the general two Higgs doublet model including the neutral Higgs boson effects. We analyse the dependencies of these quantities on the model III parameters. We found that the physical parameters studied above are at the order of the magnitude 1% and neutral Higgs boson effects are detectable for large values of the coupling \bar{\xi}_{N,\tau\tau}^D., Comment: 20 pages, 11 Figures

Abstract

We calculate lepton flavor violating Z -> l^+ l^- decay in the framework of the general two Higgs Doublet model. In our calculations we used the constraints for the Yukawa couplings \bar{\xi}^{D}_{N,\tau e} and \bar{\xi}^{D}_{N,\tau\mu} coming from the experimental result of muon electric dipole moment and upper limit of the BR(\mu -> e\gamma). We observe that it is possible to reach the present experimental upper limits for the branching ratios of such Z decays in the model III., Comment: 9 pages, 8 Figures

Abstract

Background: Early mobilisation (EM) is an intervention that may improve the outcome of critically ill patients. There is limited data on EM in COVID-19 patients and its use during the first pandemic wave. Methods: This is a pre-planned subanalysis of the ESICM UNITE-COVID, an international multicenter observational study involving critically ill COVID-19 patients in the ICU between February 15th and May 15th, 2020. We analysed variables associated with the initiation of EM (within 72 h of ICU admission) and explored the impact of EM on mortality, ICU and hospital length of stay, as well as discharge location. Statistical analyses were done using (generalised) linear mixed-effect models and ANOVAs. Results: Mobilisation data from 4190 patients from 280 ICUs in 45 countries were analysed. 1114 (26.6%) of these patients received mobilisation within 72 h after ICU admission; 3076 (73.4%) did not. In our analysis of factors associated with EM, mechanical ventilation at admission (OR 0.29; 95% CI 0.25, 0.35; p = 0.001), higher age (OR 0.99; 95% CI 0.98, 1.00; p ≤ 0.001), pre-existing asthma (OR 0.84; 95% CI 0.73, 0.98; p = 0.028), and pre-existing kidney disease (OR 0.84; 95% CI 0.71, 0.99; p = 0.036) were negatively associated with the initiation of EM. EM was associated with a higher chance of being discharged home (OR 1.31; 95% CI 1.08, 1.58; p = 0.007) but was not associated with length of stay in ICU (adj. difference 0.91 days; 95% CI − 0.47, 1.37, p = 0.34) and hospital (adj. difference 1.4 days; 95% CI − 0.62, 2.35, p = 0.24) or mortality (OR 0.88; 95% CI 0.7, 1.09, p = 0.24) when adjusted for covariates. Conclusions: Our findings demonstrate that a quarter of COVID-19 patients received EM. There was no association found between EM in COVID-19 patients' ICU and hospital length of stay or mortality. However, EM in COVID-19 patients was associated with increased odds of being discharged home rather than to a care facility. Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT04

Abstract

Aim: To describe the Turkish generalized lipodystrophy (GL) cohort with the frequency of each complication and the death rate during the period of the follow-up. Methods: This study reports on 72 patients with GL (47 families) registered at different centres in Turkey that cover all regions of the country. The mean +/- SD follow-up was 86 +/- 78 months. Results: The Kaplan-Meier estimate of the median time to diagnosis of diabetes and/or prediabetes was 16 years. Hyperglycaemia was not controlled in 37 of 45 patients (82.2%) with diabetes. Hypertriglyceridaemia developed in 65 patients (90.3%). The Kaplan-Meier estimate of the median time to diagnosis of hypertriglyceridaemia was 14 years. Hypertriglyceridaemia was severe (>= 500 mg/dl) in 38 patients (52.8%). Seven (9.7%) patients suffered from pancreatitis. The Kaplan-Meier estimate of the median time to diagnosis of hepatic steatosis was 15 years. Liver disease progressed to cirrhosis in nine patients (12.5%). Liver disease was more severe in congenital lipodystrophy type 2 (CGL2). Proteinuric chronic kidney disease (CKD) developed in 32 patients (44.4%) and cardiac disease in 23 patients (31.9%). Kaplan-Meier estimates of the median time to diagnosis of CKD and cardiac disease were 25 and 45 years, respectively. Females appeared to have a more severe metabolic disease, with an earlier onset of metabolic abnormalities. Ten patients died during the follow-up period. Causes of death were end-stage renal disease, sepsis (because of recurrent intestinal perforations, coronavirus disease, diabetic foot infection and following coronary artery bypass graft surgery), myocardial infarction, heart failure because of dilated cardiomyopathy, stroke, liver complications and angiosarcoma. 19. The evaluation of thiol-disulfide homeostasis in children with Triple-A syndrome.

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Triple-A syndrome occurs due to the dysfunction of the ALADIN protein as a result of a mutation in the AAAS gene. ALADIN is involved in redox homeostasis in human adrenal cells and steroidogenesis. It has also been shown to have important roles in DNA repair and the protection of cells against oxidative stress. We planned to investigate serum thiol/disulfide homeostasis, which is a part of redox hemostasis in patients with Triple- A syndrome. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The study included patients with the Triple-A syndrome (26 patients) and healthy children (26 patients). Thiol and disulfide levels of patients and healthy groups were compared. In addition, patients with the Triple-A syndrome were divided into 2 subgroups according to the mutation type, and their thiol and disulfide levels were compared. RESULTS: Triple-A syndrome patients had increased native thiol (SH), total thiol (SH+SS) concentrations, and native thiol/total thiol (SH/SH+SS) ratios than healthy controls. However, Triple-A syndrome patients had lowered disulfide (SS), disulfide/native thiol (SS/SH), and disulfide/total thiol (SS/SH+SS) ratios than the controls. When the group with the p.R478* mutation and the group with other mutation were compared, disulfide level, disulfide/native thiol ratio, and disulfide/total thiol ratio were statistically higher in the group with the p.R478* mutation, while native thiol/total thiol ratio was found to be lower. However, no statistical difference was found between native thiol and total thiol levels. CONCLUSIONS: This is the first study in the literature to evaluate thiol-disulfide homeostasis in patients with the Triple-A syndrome. Patients with Triple-A syndrome had an increased level of thiol compared with healthy controls. Comprehensive studies are needed to clarify these thiol levels, which are thought to be compensatory. 30. Lasers in the Treatment of Vitiligo

Abstract

Vitiligo is an acquired cutaneous hypopigmentary disorder characterized by multiple depigmented macules and patches. There are numerous therapy modalities consist of topical corticosteroids and calcineurin inhibitors, phototherapy, surgical interventions and laser treatments are evaluated. Last 10 years, firstly excimer laser treatment has showed good results in repigmentation rates. “Excited dimers” produces a 308-nm ultraviolet (UV) monochromatic coherent wavelength, which lies within the UVB spectrum that absorb DNA as a chromophore to breakage DNA chain that causes a decrease in T-lymphocyte proliferation. Some articles have shown different responses depends on the type of vitiligo, number of sessions, interval periods and localisation. Researchers have also compared efficacy and also side effects of excimer laser between other methods. Combination therapies with excimer laser will be also treatment of choice via topical steroids or topical calcineurin inhibitors. Some of the patients developed delayed-onset permanent hypopigmentation need resurfacing methods such as CO2 or Er:YAG laser which mainly aims to ablate the epidermis in specific coagulation columns to promote the penetration of externally applied agent. As an alternative treatment modality in vitiligo, lasers may help to raise patient compliance and reduce potential risk for skin cancer. Its convenience is limited by high cost and accessibility.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine erosion risk classes and to generate their map in Ankara Güvenç Basin using geographic information system (GIS), remote sensing (RS) and statistical approaches with method of multi-criteria decision-making. Basin covers about 17.3 km². In order to determine erosion risk classes, seven criteria (texture, soil depth, precipitation, land use, elevation, slope and vegetation) that influence the occurrence of soil erosion, andsub-criteria of that seven criteria were taken into consideration. 1:25000 scale digital soil map and topographic map were used. In addition to that, Landsat 7 satellite images were used to generate the land use and vegetation cover map. Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) technique was used to determine the priorities of the each criteria while, the Z-score statistical analysis technique was used to determine the priorities of the sub-criteria. Finally, linear combination technique was used to determine classes of erosion risk. According to the obtained results, 45.9% of the basin area was identified as under high erosion risk. © 2017, Ankara University. All rights reserved.

PubMedID: 26595427 Introduction: Mutations of the human GNRH1 gene are an extremely rare cause of normosmic idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (nIHH), with only 6 mutations so far described. Patients: As part of a larger study, families with IHH were screened for mutations in genes known to be associated with IHH. In family 1, a 15-year and 9-month-old boy first presented during infancy with micropenis and bilateral cryptorchidism. His pubic and axillary hair is at stage 4 and 2, respectively. His testes are 1 ml bilaterally, and his stretched penile length is 3.6 cm. In family 2, a 19-year and 2-month-old man was referred because of absence of secondary sexual characteristics. His 13-year and 8-month-old sister did not have any breast development. Results: In 3 patients from 2 independent families we identified GNRH1 mutations. In the proband from family 1, a homozygous 1-base deletion (c.87delA) leading to a frameshift mutation (p.G29GfsX12) was identified. In family 2, the affected siblings had a novel homozygous mutation of c.G92A leading to p.R31H. Conclusion: Both mutations in these families are located in the region encoding the decapeptide and in the loci where the mutations have been described before. Therefore, these areas can be considered as mutational hot spots, indicating priority for routine diagnostic gene mutation analysis. © 2015 S. Karger AG, Basel.

Abstract

Objectives: The aim of the present randomized, placebo-controlled study was to compare postoperative analgesic effects of peroperative paracetamol and lornoxicam administration. Methods: Sixty adult patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) risk classification I-II, who would undergo single-level lumbar discectomy under general anesthesia, were enrolled. Patients were administered either 1000 mg paracetamol (Group P), 8 mg lornoxicam (Group L), or saline (Group C) prior to induction of anesthesia (n=20 for all groups). All patients were administered the same anesthesia induction and maintainance. Postoperative analgesia was maintained with the same analgesic drug in each group. Rescue analgesia was supplied with intravenous meperidine delivered by a patient-controlled analgesia device. Numeric rating score (NRS) results, first analgesic demand time, and cumulative meperidine consumption were recorded postoperatively. Primary outcome was NRS at first postoperative hour. Secondary outcome was measure of opioid consumption during first 24 postoperative hours. Abstract

Purpose: Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) and type I angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) have been shown to exert significant effects on bone tissue via a local renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAS). The aim of our study was to delineate their influences on fracture healing process. Methods: Sixty adult male Wistar Albino rats were divided into three groups. After undergoing surgical femoral fracture and fi xation, the ACEI group received 10 mg/kg of Enalapril, the ARB group received 10 mg/kg of Losartan and the Control group did not receive any medication. Fracture healing was evaluated at second and fifth postoperative weeks by the Lane-Sandhu radiological staging system and by histological scoring system of Huoet al. ACE expression in fracture callus was studied by immunohistochemistry. Results: Both ACEI and ARB groups showed less fibrous tissue in the fracture area at the second week, but the histologic score differences were significant only between Control and ARB groups. At the fift h week, however, both radiological and histological scores for the ACEI group were significantly higher than both ARB and Control groups, while the scores for ARB and Control groups were similar. The presence of ACE expression in fracture callus was also observed. Conclusion: ACEIs had significant positive effects on fracture repair. Losartan failed to display these stimulatory effects, which suggests that local RAS in bone tissue exerts its actions via alternative receptors or pathways than the AT1 receptor. © 2015 CIM.

A space merging approach to study the queuing models with finite buffers and jump priorities is proposed. It is assumed that upon arriving a call with low priority one call of such kind might be transfer to the end of queue of high priority calls. Transfer probabilities are depending on state of the queue of heterogeneous calls. The algorithms to calculate the quality of service metrics of such queuing models are developed.

Abstract

Objective: In this study, we aimed to examine the effects of a subhypnotic dose of ketamine on the neuromuscular block characteristics of rocuronium and intubation quality. Material and Methods: Sixty patients in ASA I-II risk group were included in the study. Group S received 5 mL of 0.9% saline and Group K received 0.5 mg.kg-1 ketamine in 5 mL volume, one minute before induction. Both groups had anesthesia induction with a propofol dose of 2.5 mg.kg-1 (Propofol 1%, Fresenius Kabi). This was considered as anesthesia start time. After 1 min, a control single twitch stimulus (0.1 Hz) was applied and recorded. All patients were given 0.6 mg.kg-1 rocuronium (Esmeron® 50 mg.5 ml-1 N.V. Organon, Oss, Holland) in 5 sec. When the single twitch response was depressed 100%, the patient was intubated and the full depression time (onset time) was noted. Anesthesia maintenance was achieved with O2/N2O and sevoflurane. Following the intubation, the application of train-of - four (TOF) stimulation was started. When the TOF ratio reached to 20%, rocuronium was repeated at a dose of 0.2 mg.kg-1. Clinical duration (T25), recovery index (T25- 75) and spontaneous recovery time to TOF > 0.9 were recorded. Intubation conditions were assessed by using the scale of Fuchs-Buder. The additional drugs used during the operation and neuromuscular blocker amounts were recorded. The hemodynamic values of both groups were recorded throughout the study. Postoperative recovery times, visual analogue pain scores (VAS) and Ramsay sedation scores were also recorded. Results: The time for 100% depression of single twitch in Group K was shorter than that of Group S (p0.05), recovery times (p>0.05), VAS scores, Ramsay sedation scores or mean arterial pressure values. Abstract

Objective: The acupuncture points pericardium 6 (P 6), extra 1 (E 1), and large intestine 4 (Li 4) are known to reduce postoperative nausea and vomiting, and to provide sedation and analgesia, respectively. We investigated the effects of preoperative application of acupuncture needle or capsicum plaster on these points on pre-operative anxiety, postoperative nausea and vomiting, and analgesic consumption. Material and Methods: Sixty cases undergoing laparoscopic gynecological operations were divided into four groups. The day before the operation, State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) was given to all cases. The participants were divided into four groups regarding the preoperative application of the following: dry needle at points P 6, Li 4 and El in group I; capsicum plaster application at the same points in group II; 0.07 mg kg -1 midazolam im and plasebo plaster application at different non acupunctural points (sham) in group III and only placebo plaster usage at sham points in group IV. STAI was repeated immediately before the operation. After standard general anesthesia, tramadol was administered with postoperative patient controlled analgesia method. Postoperative visual pain score (VAS), analgesic consumption, and nausea and vomiting were recorded. Results: The decrease in the preoperative day 1 STAI scores compared to immediate preoperative scores in group I and group II was significantly higher than the decrease in group III (p< 0.05). Nausea and vomiting rates were lower in group I and II (p< 0.05). The postoperative analgesic consumption of group I and group IV were lower than that of group II and group III (p< 0.05). There was no significant difference between the study groups regarding VAS scores. Conclusion: Preoperative acupuncture needle and capsicum plaster application at P 6, E1, and Li 4 points were found to be effective in reducing pre-operative anxiety and postoperative nausea and vomiting, but thought to be non effective on postoperative analgesic consumption. Abstract

Background: Behçet's disease (BD) is a vasculitis, seen more frequently around the Mediterranean and the Far East, and evinces with oral and genital ulcerations, skin lesions and uveitis. Carbonic anhydrase (CA) is a metalloenzyme which is widely distributed in the living world, and it is essential for the regulation of acid-base balance. Anti-CA antibodies have been reported in many disorders, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, endo metriosis, idiopathic chronic pancreatitis, type 1 diabe tes and Graves' disease. The goal of this study was to investigate CA I and II autoantibodies in BD. Methods: 35 patients with BD and 29 healthy controls were included in the study and CA I and II autoantibody levels were investigated by ELISA. Results: The CA I and II autoantibody levels of BD group were significantly higher than the healthy group (p=0.013, p=0.0001, respectively). A cut-off value of 0.250 absorbance unit (ABSU) for anti-CA I was associated with 34% sensitivity and 100% specificity and a cut-off value of 0.171 ABSU for anti-CA II was associated with 54% sensitivity and 100% specificity for predicting BD. Conclusion: The CA I and II autoantibody levels in patients with BD were found higher compared to control group and the results suggest that CA I and II autoantibodies may be involved in the pathogenesis of BD.
