The present study was performed to demonstrate the tissue differentiation of uterine ultrasonographic image by computer assisted analysis programs in mares with endometrial cyst and early pregnancy. A total of 124 thoroughbred Arabian mares were used in the study, with early pregnancy and endometrial cyst. Mares were divided into six groups according to stage of early pregnancy (Group I, n=12 (13th day pregnancy); Group II, n=15 (14th day pregnancy); Group III, n=29 (15th day pregnancy); Group IV, n=17 (16th day pregnancy); Group V, n=12 (17th day pregnancy)) and as endometrial cysts (Group VI, n=39). The mean gray value (MGV), heterogeneity (HET) and contrast (CON) of the uterine images that were recorded during ultrasound scan were measured through computer assisted program. The physiological process of birth can cause stress in animals because it affects many mechanisms. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the type of birth on the Nesfatin–1 level and to explain the relationship with oxidative stress parameters in Awassi breed sheep. The study included a total of 60 sheep with a singleton birth in 3 groups: as Group 1 (n:20) including animals that had a normal birth, Group 2 (n:20) that had a difficult birth (dystocia), and Group 3 (n:20) including sheep that gave birth by caesarean section. Blood samples were taken from the sheep in all the groups within 10 min of the birth, for the measurement of Nesfatin–1, total antioxidant capacity (TAS), and total oxidant capacity (TOS). The aim of the present study is to investigate the impact of some environmental factors on the descriptive values of milk yield characteristics in Holstein cows. For this purpose, a total of 241 lactations belonging to 62 Holstein cows had been kept as breeders in a private establishment were evaluated for 7 years in terms of milk yield. When the recording system of the establishment was examined, the average values of lactation yield (LY), corrected 305 day milk yield (305-dMY), average daily milk yield (ADMY) and lactation length (LL) were 9356.2±126.1 kg, 8549.2±105.8 kg, 28.0±0.3 kg and 315.0±2.3 days, respectively.
