The behaviour of the consumer and his decisions regarding the purchase of products intended for consumption are increasingly influenced by his desire to consume food that does not alter his state of health, offering him a balance in his daily diet. The tendency to consume organic products is constantly growing, because the consumer's level of information regarding the existing products on the market is quite high. The main purpose of this study is to provide an image of the upward trend in consumption and demand for organically certified food products. The consumption and demand for ecologically certified agro-food products have experienced an evolution in the direction of growth during the last years, a fact that is the basis of this study. This dynamic is found both at the level of our country, but also at the European and global level, which leads to a continuous development of the production and marketing of ecologically certified food products.

This study aims to examine the sustainability of the Romanian agri-food economy, focusing on markets, supply chains, and agri-food policies. The research investigates the current state of the agri-food sector, identifies challenges and opportunities, and proposes measures for enhancing sustainability.The study employs a comprehensive methodology, including a literature review to establish the theoretical framework and identify research gaps. Data collection involves the use of official statistics, reports, interviews with industry experts, and other primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal the recent trends and developments in the Romanian agri-food sector, highlighting its potential for growth and competitiveness. The study examines the share of agricultural exports in total exports, the destination markets, and the opportunities for expansion. It also addresses the challenges faced by the sector, such as infrastructure limitations, quality and safety standards, and the need for skills development and innovation.

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is classified in the interstitial lung disease group, being caused by inhalation exposure to sensitized allergen. Exposure to inhalant allergens is often significant in the workplace, being favoured by the long duration of time spent at work, air circulation, and alveolar hyperventilation during high physical efforts and technological processes involved. Identifying the causative agents of Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is not always easy and symptoms often appear insidiously, after long periods of exposure, which can delay diagnosis. In addition, diagnostic tests do not always provide rapid positive results or involve invasive explorations that cannot be applied or are not accepted by patients. We exemplify these findings with a case study of Hypersensitivity pneumonitis following exposure to fish products and derivatives. Although initiation of treatment and cessation of exposure may improve symptoms and reverse pulmonary interstitial changes, exacerbations and rapid progression are not usual developmental pathways. Worker sensitization, effective ventilation of workplaces, wearing protective equipment (especially protective masks adapted to the type and size of particles released) and regular assessment of employees are the main measures to reduce the risk of most respiratory diseases.

Castleman’s disease is a benign lymphoproliferative disorder. The coexistence of Hodgkin’s lymphoma and multicentric Castle-man’s disease is a rare phenomenon. We discuss a case of a 48-year-old female patient who had been in the records of the Colentina Hematology Clinic since 2019, with the diagnosis of classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, nodular sclerosis type I BNLI, stage IIXB. For this, she underwent 3 courses of ABVD and 2 courses of BEACOPP, without showing complete remission on PET/CT evaluation at the end of treatment. After that, we initiated rescue therapy and performed 4 IGEV courses, followed by autologous stem cell transplantation. For maintenance treatment, we opted for Brentuximab, but it was discontinued after the first administration due to the appearance of adverse reactions. Subsequently, we decided to perform radiotherapy with 20 fractions cumulating a total dose of 36 Gy. Shortly after the radiotherapy, symptoms reappeared which were suspected to be in the context of a relapse of the disease. For confirmatory diagnosis, we performed a new PET-CT which highlighted metabolically active ganglion images. Further, were carried out lymph node biopsy for histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations were carried out. The underlying disease was diagnosed as plasmacytic subtype, HHV8 negative, multicentric Castleman’s disease. For treatment, we relied on administrations of Siltuximab treatment therapy that showed complete remission. Castleman’s disease presents a unique diagnostic challenge, but a confirmatory diagnosis can be based on a biopsy examination, advisable after each relapse.

The present research study includes, in the first part, the synthesis of the literature regarding the theoretical framework of meaning construction, from information theory to the semiotics of reception and the concept of “horizon of expectation” in the reception of the teacher’s linguistic productions, and in the second part, it includes the research methodology. The results of the research identify the average frequency of responses for all situations. After the study took place resulted 6 important findings like a direct and unambiguous reading strategy for the teacher (P), a considerable loss of meaning between the teacher’s language production and the student’s reception, higher reading fluency in the GE group, reading difficulties in GT group, recognition of meaning is earlier and more relevant in GE, and the fact that verbal productions make it possible to complete sequence, a misunderstanding for GT. The conclusions reveal that the messages transmitted through verbal and non-verbal teacher-student communication are received rather by connotation than by denotation. Prezentul studiu de cercetare cuprinde, în prima parte, sinteza literaturii de specialitate privind cadrul teoretic al construcției sensului, de la teoria informației la semiotica receptării și conceptul de „orizont de așteptare” în receptarea producțiilor lingvistice ale profesorului, iar în partea a doua, include metodologia cercetării. Rezultatele cercetării identifică frecvența medie a răspunsurilor pentru toate situațiile. După interpretarea studiului au rezultat 6 constatări importante, precum o strategie de lectură directă și neechivocă pentru profesor (P), o pierdere considerabilă a sensului între producția de limbaj a profesorului și recepția elevului, fluență mai mare în citire la grupul GE, dificultăți de citire în grupul GT, recunoașterea semnificației este mai devreme și mai relevantă în grupul GE și faptul că producțiile verbale fac posibilă completarea secvenței, o neînțelegere pentru grupul GT. Concluziile relevă faptul că mesajele transmise prin comunicare verbală și nonverbală profesor-elev sunt primite mai degrabă prin conotație decât prin denotație. This article aims to take stock of the possible contribution of constructivism to the renewal of the pedagogy of swimming. If the pedagogies oriented by constructivism have profoundly renewed the ways of understanding the teaching of team sports, the same is not true with regard to the teaching of sports disciplines that are predominantly technical. By identifying the differences and the points in common between the various forms of constructivism, the article proposes a pedagogical framework oriented by this epistemology that can be mobilized in the teaching of swimming. Two case studies and their consequences for learning are proposed in the teaching of butterfly and breaststroke techniques. Contribuția constructivismului în predarea înotului. Background: Polysomnography is continually advancing technically, with its applicability ex-panding across various fields. This narrative review aims to highlight its recent developments, current applications, and future perspectives from a clinical point of view. Methods: Relevant articles written in English published from 2015 to 2024 were searched in PubMed and Google Scholar. Results: Polysomnography remains the gold standard test in sleep disorders but in certain categories of patients it is not very accesible. Some of the home sleep tests (HSAT) per-form closely to PSG testing. Identifying REM movement disorders early is important because it is a predictor factor for developing neurodegenerative diseases. Artificial intelligence (AI) cаn be used for diаgnosis by integrаting АI in weаrаble devices for remote monitoring, using it for fаster аnd а more аccurаte scoring, аs well аs using it to offer рersonаlized treаtment for eаch individuаl. Polysomnography can play a pivotal role in diagnosing sleep related breathing disorders in rehabilitation patients to offer treatment, help in the improvement of sleep quality and consequently, offer better rehabilitation outcomes. Conclusions: Polysomnography opens up numerous possibilities for investigating sleep disorders, providing a comprehensive under-standing of an individual's sleep health, and improving the management of sleep-related dis-orders.

This research seeks to analyse the effects produced in matters of pardon and plurality of crimes by the High Court of Cassation and Justice’s Decision X(10)/2005. Although the modality of sanctioning the concurrent crimes established by the supreme court seems fair from the convict’s point of view, the benefit resulted from the pardon is doubled in an unjustified manner. This way, the prior pardon would also remove an eventual state of recidivism, besides the forgiveness of the punishment’s execution applied by the court. As a result, it will be brought up for discussion a principle created by the criminal law’s older literature, followed by the corroboration between the arguments in favour of this principle, the other opinions of the criminal law’s literature in this matter and some national courts decisions. These will be done with the purpose to suggest a possible solution for solving this law issue which respects the effects that pardon can legally produce. Later, we will also compare this problematic with some particular hypotheses which can occur in practice. In the end, we will present another mandatory jurisprudence of the supreme court which is in contradiction with the decision from which the assumption of this article was made.

More common than cervical cancer, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) represents a precursor lesion of cervical carcinoma, being associated with HPV infection. Due to the bidirectional relationship between HPV and estrogen and progesterone in pregnancy, most of the published data claim that precancerous lesions remain stable or even regress during pregnancy, although several studies have indicated the tendency of HSILs to persist. It is considered that pregnancy-related cervical precancerous lesions undergo a postpartum regression, due to stimulatory effects of the immune microenvironment. Due to the rarity of publications on this subject, we aimed to offer a concise overview of and new insights into the current knowledge regarding the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and evolution of pregnancy-associated precancerous lesions, as well as their impact upon gestation and fertility. Nowadays pollution became one of the biggest problems of humanity. The effects caused by the rising of global temperatures have a negative influence on ecological and social changes. In this paper the need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is presented. The analysis is aimed at quantifying the amount of CO2 from building heating, relative to the amount of emissions from the materials used in thermal rehabilitation, generated by producing and putting them into operation. The carbon footprint and energy consumption at each stage of the materials life cycle was determined using the OneClickLCA software.

Vehicle traffic pollution requires complex physicochemical analysis besides emission level measuring. The current study is focused on two campaigns of emissions measurements held in May and September 2019 in Alba Iulia City, Romania. There was found a significant excess of PM2.5 for all measuring points and PM10 for the most circulated points during May, along with significant VOC and CO2 emissions. September measurements reveal threshold excess for all PM along with increased values for VOC and CO2 emissions. These are the consequences of the complex environmental interaction of the traffic. Street dust and air-suspended particle samples were collected and analyzed to evidence the PM2.5 and PM10 sources. Physicochemical investigation reveals highly mineralized particulate matter: PM2.5 fractions within air-suspended particle samples predominantly contain Muscovite, Kaolinite, and traces of Quartz and Calcite, while PM10 fractions within air-suspended particle samples predominantly contain Quartz and Calcite. These mineral fractions originate in street dust and are suspended in the atmosphere due to the vehicles’ circulation. A significant amount of soot was found as small micro-sized clusters in PM2.5 and fine micro-spots attached over PM10 particles, as observed by Mineralogical Optical Microscopy (MOM) and Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). GC-MS analysis found over 53 volatile compounds on the investigated floating particles that are related to the combustion gases, such as saturated alkanes, cycloalkanes, esters, and aromatic hydrocarbons. It proves a VOC contamination of the measured particulate matters that make them more hazardous for the health. Viable strategies for vehicle traffic-related pollutants mitigation would be reducing the street dust occurrence and usage of modern catalyst filters of the combustion gas exhausting system.

Edible insects such as the black soldier fly Hermetia illucens L. represent a potential and sustainable source of nutrients for food and feed due to their valuable nutritional composition, which can be modulated through dietary enrichment. The high content of saturated fatty acid (FA) of Hermetia illucens larvae fats can be modulated through dietary enrichment as a result of adding vegetable oils in the rearing substrate. Therefore, the present research aims to highlight the effects of a 10% addition of vegetable oils from five dietary fat sources (linseed oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, and hempseed oil) on the growth, development, reproductive performance, and the fat and fatty acids profile of H. illucens. Oil inclusion in the larval diet improved (p < 0.05) the weight of larvae, prepupae, pupae, and imago without influencing (p > 0.05) the egg clutch weight and the number of eggs in the clutch. In addition, the larvae fatty acid profile was different (p < 0.001) according to the oil type, because the unsaturated FAs (UFA) increased from 11.23 to 48.74% of FAME, as well as according to the larvae age, because the saturated FAs decreased from 85.86 to 49.56% of FAME. Linseed oil inclusion led to the improvement of the FA profile at 10 days age of larvae, followed by hempseed and rapeseed oil. These three dietary treatments recorded the highest concentrations in UFA (29.94–48.74% of FAME), especially in polyunsaturated FA (18.91–37.22% of FAME) from the omega-3 series (3.19–15.55% of FAME) and the appropriate n–6/n–3 ratio. As a result, the degree of the lipid polyunsaturation index increased (17.76–41.44) and the value of the atherogenic (3.22–1.22) and thrombogenic (1.43–0.48) indices decreased. Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that enriching the larval diet with these oils rich in UFA can modulate the larvae FA profile, making them suitable sources of quality fats for feed and indirectly for food.

Exploitation works at the North Pesteana Quarry is located in areas with mineral energy resources, and contributes to ensuring the country’s energy security, based on an efficient system of supply of primary resources, production, transport, distribution and supply, to ensure food of all consumers in terms of accessibility, availability and affordability of prices, taking into account the evolution of the quality of the environment. The exploitation surface is isolated from the protected area Jiu Corridor ROSCI0045 through the neighborhoods from the eastern limit-the regularization channel of the river Jiu and the villages Balteni, Peșteana Jiu, Cocoreni, Olari and the neighborhoods from the western limit - the villages Valea cu Apa, Pesteana de Jos, Hotaroasa, Urdari. Lignite mining works do not affect the integrity of the protected natural area; by carrying out the works, the artificial barriers between the natural and the anthropic terrain are not created. The paper presents the results of the research undertaken in 2019 through the technical expertise in File no. 14666/3/2017*, Archive of the Bucharest Tribunal [1]. Measures are proposed to prevent, reduce and, where possible, offset significant adverse effects on the environment, including: measures for the protection of water quality, air quality, protection against noise and vibration, in the field of soil and subsoil quality, biodiversity and measures for the rehabilitation of the land for its subsequent use, etc.

The significant momentum received by Hermetia illucens as a worldwide species is due to its biological traits and large applicability in scientific research, environmental entomoremediation, insect meal production, and for biodiesel yield. The aim of this research is to develop a method for the preparation and precise egg counting of the H. illucens egg clutch, as well as an accurate technique for evaluating egg biometric parameters. The precise proposed method for egg preparation and counting consists in dispersing the eggs clutch under a stereo microscope and counting the eggs on a photographic capture using the Clickmaster software. Five solution types were used to disperse the egg clutches: glycerin 50%, ethanol 70%, ethanol 80%, physiological serum 0.9% and purified water. The efficiency of the estimation method for eggs number evaluation was also tested by using the estimated egg weight as a conversion factor. The biometric parameters of single eggs (length and width) were determined using the free Toupview software. The precise method of egg preparation and counting allows for the registration of the eggs number manually identified by the operator. The appropriate dispersion solutions were glycerin 50% and ethanol 70%. The method has an error of 1.4 eggs for each 500 counted eggs, thus an accuracy of over 99.4%. The eggs number estimation method is not applicable without significant errors, the accuracy being less than 32%, due to egg heterogeneity in the clutch. Biometric parameters (length and width) are positively correlated with egg weight (r = 0.759) and with the number of eggs in the clutch (r = 0.645). In conclusion, the results clearly suggest the method of egg preparation and precise counting for an accurate evaluation of quality parameters of the H. illucens clutches, as well as the technique for evaluating egg biometric parameters.

Lupinus albus seeds from low-alkaloid varieties are a valuable alternative source of protein for reducing the dependence on soybean meal for the feeding of monogastric animals. Therefore, the aim of this research was to evaluate the dehulling influence of lupine seeds (L. albus, cv. Amiga) and the effect of their use in the laying quails feed on live performance and egg quality. A total of 200 laying quails (Coturnix japonica), with an age of 10 weeks, were randomly assigned to five experimental groups (five replicates/group). Each group was randomly assigned to one of five dietary treatments: the control group (C) diet was based on soybean meal, while the experimental groups received either 200 g/kg (WLS20) or 250 g/kg (WLS25) of whole lupine seeds in their diets, or 200 g/kg (DLS20) or 250 g/kg (DLS25) of dehulled lupine seeds in their diets. The results show that by dehulling the lupine seeds, the nutritional value of the seeds increased. The use of dehulled lupine seeds in the diet of laying quails did not affect the live performance (egg production, feed intake, feed conversion ratio), yolk cholesterol content, and physico-chemical quality indices of the eggs, compared with control. The presence of dehulled lupine seeds in the diet improved the nutritional quality of the yolk lipids because of the increase in the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Thus, the lipid quality indices of the yolk became more favorable to consumer health because of an increase in the h/H ratio (hypocholesterolemic/Hypercholesterolemic FA) and a decrease in the atherogenic index and thrombogenic index values. The higher content in carotenoids also contributed to the higher nutritional quality of the eggs obtained by lupine utilization. In conclusion, dehulling of lupine seeds had a positive influence on the nutritional quality of the seeds, the live performance of quails, and the quality of eggs.

The society development in the new era of technologies led to increasing demands of electricity needs. For this reason, the distribution networks had extended significantly. A key factor affecting global warming is energy production and consumption. This affects the natural ecosystems and biodiversity, having adverse effects on human, animal and environment health. To keep pace with social evolution in every household the number of electrical and/or electronic devices have increased significant. All these devices lead to Complex Electromagnetic Radiations that are directly loaded into the environment, even in the places where people rest and sleep. The lack of information, research and depth analysis about electromagnetic emissions or radiation effects on human health on long time exposure, compels us to use the precautionary principle. As in any scientific work, we will present the results of measurements on electromagnetic radiation for several public places in different cities. For frequency measurements we focused on low and high frequency. The measurements reveal us, that in several places the values exceed legal limit admitted on long time exposure.

40-week-old Lohman Brown layers were used in this study. Three diets with different levels of crude protein allowed the consumption of 15.38, 13.58 and 11.78 g/d/cap., respectively. The experimental feeding lasted four weeks. Laboratory determinations were performed at the end of the experimental period. Triglycerides, total cholesterol, GOT, GPT and γ-GT transaminases, HDL-cholesterol, protein, albumin, γ-globulins and uric acid were determined in the blood serum. Nitrogen intake, nitrogen excretion in manure, nitrogen retention in the body and in the egg were also determined. Thus, following four weeks of experimental feeding, serum transaminases and HDL-cholesterol remained within normal limits. Triclycerides and uric acid presented an increase of their serum values. As a consequence of the decrease in daily nitrogen intake, nitrogen excretion and nitrogen retention as total in the body decreased while nitrogen excretion as total in the egg remained unmodified. This paper deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on controlling within companies. Because Covid-19 was a moment of crisis, companies wanted to take a series of measures to ensure the stability of the company. Through the interview and survey as the main research methods, I was able to find out how the companies managed to cope with this situation and how the controlling department, which was responsible for developing many strategies, changed in theface of the Covid-19 pandemic. Topics such as digitalisation, adaptability and the introduction of new technologies were also covered. The paper presents the ways in which the company reacted to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of the controlling department, they were able to adapt quickly and develop new strategies to overcome this period. Therefore, this paper provides updates regarding the development of this department within the company and the technologies they use to develop more accurate strategies and reports. The failure of a company, whether insolvency or bankruptcy, has been a topic featured by countless researchers from various fields over time. In an attempt to counteract this negative phenomenon most of the studies focused on developing bankruptcy prediction models, omitting the actual reasons that caused the insolvency. In the present article we will try to determine the main reasons causing insolvency among the largest companies in Romania in 2013. In this purpose, we made a Top 10 Romanian companies which became insolvent in 2013 taking into consideration the report published by Euler Hermes in 2014 “Economic Outlook. Insolvency World Cup 2014: Who will score fewer insolvencies?”. Subsequently, we examine “The Report on the causes and circumstances that led to the insolvency of the debtor" for each individual company from the proposed top. After analyzing the reports for all ten companies studied we found that an increasing of indebtedness and debt collection period, with disinvestment and poor management were the main causes that led to the insolvency in 2013 of the Romanian companies studied.

Nowadays valuation has become an inherent part of business environment which has experienced dynamic changes in economic activity through mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructuring and repurchasing of shares. The dynamic centre of all these activities is valuation, whose methods are needed not only for accounting purposes, but to serve as information support to all stakeholders. Although there are many individual techniques of assessment businesses in difficulty, selecting the most suitable method of valuation is often difficult. The paper is a mini-guide that should be taken into account by all actors involved in the assessment of firms in difficulty when they pursue to carry out such activities. In this regard, we compare the financial and accounting aspects with the national regulation on insolvency, highlighting the usefulness or, where appropriate, the lack of consistency based on assessments completed to date. In the end we insist on the reconciliation of financial vision with the rule of law in order to simplify insolvency proceedings in Romania.

This article aims to identify and describe some of the advantages that a debtor would have during insolvency proceedings. Thus we argue that firms in default entered in insolvency can enjoy certain facilities which may finally transform in a successful plan of reorganization. The three heritage protection mechanisms considered are: (i) suspension of all judicial and extrajudicial actions in order to establish a claim against the debtor or its assets, (ii) prohibit vital service providers (electricity, gas, water, telephone etc.) the suspension of services to captive consumer debtor, (iii) immediately cease any enhancement calculation of amounts due.
