Arterial stiffness is a good predictor of cardiovascular events. As a substitute for elastic modulus representing stiffness, pulse wave velocity (PWV) has been used for over a century as it is easy to measure ; however, PWV is known to essentially depend on blood pressure at the time of measurement. The cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) is a relatively new index of global arterial stiffness of the origin of the aorta to the ankle arteries. The characteristic feature is its independency from blood pressure at the measuring time. Recently, a variant index CAVI0 was proposed, which was claimed to be a more accurate arterial stiffness index than CAVI, considering independency from blood pressure. The purpose of this review is to evaluate the properties of CAVI more precisely by comparing with CAVI0, and to confirm the true meaning of CAVI as an index of arterial stiffness. First, the properties of PWV depending on the blood pressure and the variation of PWV values in the cardiac cycle were analyzed. Then, we attempted to clarify the point at which the PWV, adopted in CAVI or in CAVI0, was measured in cardiac cycle. A comprehensive comparison of the clinical data of CAVI and CAVI0 showed that CAVI is more appropriate than CAVI0. In conclusion, CAVI is reconfirmed to be a reliable and useful index of blood pressure-independent arterial stiffness composed of both organic and functional stiffness.

通常、リアクションホイールは機械部を持つ。これにより接触による摩擦が生じるのでリアクションホイールの寿命が短くなる。また、リアクションホイールは剛体となるので設計が固定化される。特に小型衛星と呼ばれるものでは設計の固定化はミッションに制約を課すことに繋がる。これらリアクションホイールを用いることによって生じる問題を解決する1つの手段として本研究は3次元リアクションホイールを提案する。3次元リアクションホイールとは磁気浮上させた剛体球に回転磁場を与えることによって剛体球内に渦電流を誘導し、渦電流と回転磁場によって剛体球にはローレンツ力がかかる。このローレンツ力によって剛体球は回転し、角運動量を発生させる。3次元リアクションホイールは駆動部が浮上しているので機械部を持たない。これにより長期の運用を行う衛星に搭載することが可能となる。また、回転磁場任意軸周りに掛けることができるので3次元での回転が可能となり、1つの機器で3軸の姿勢を制御できる。ここで、重要となるのが剛体球を機械部(モータなど)を用いずに回転させることである。本研究では回転システムについて実験的に検証を行う。まず、剛体球を1次元回転させることによる基礎実験を行う。剛体球の浮上、回転について実験的に検証する。また、実験の結果を踏まえて3次元リアクションホイールのモデル化を行う。, This paper presents a novel attitude control device called 3 Dimensional Reaction Wheel (3DRW). 3DRW consists of a spherical mass which can rotate around arbitrary axes by magnetic levitation. 3DRW is 3-DOF (Degree Of Freedom) device with only one reaction mass which could make it possible to drastically reduce the weight and volume of the system as compared to existing reaction wheel. In addition to that, this device does not have mechanical contact between rotor and stator, so longer operating lifetime can be expected. In this paper, the concept of 3DRW is introduced, and the analysis and the result of simulations on the dynamics of rotation mass in a magnetic field are shown. Also the experiment setup of magnetic levitation and rotating, and its results are presented. 一般的に6自由度の状態量を得られれば、宇宙機を正確に誘導することができる。しかし、実際に宇宙機で得られる情報の量には、宇宙機そのものやその他の条件などから制限がある。本研究では、距離情報のみを用いた相対航法および誘導について検討している。一般的に、距離履歴だけでは、物体の位置を特定することができない。そのため、既知の入力Δvを与えることによって得られる情報を増やし、位置を推定する方法をとる。また、その後の誘導についても検討を行う。, Generally, obtaining all the state quantities of 6 degrees of freedom leads to able to do exact guidance of spacecraft to the target. Actually the obtainable information could be limited by the conditions which spacecraft has and the other external conditions. In this study, navigation and guidance are discussed based on only range information. In general, the position of the object cannot be identified based on only range information.
