This study investigated high school students' conceptions of technology-assisted science learning via drawing analysis, and explored how students with different degrees of computer experience and science learning self-efficacy may show different conceptions via their drawings. The participants included 335 senior high school students in Taiwan (179 male and 156 female). All of them were asked by guiding questions to make two drawings to represent their conceptions of technology-assisted science learning in actual and ideal contexts, respectively. Their background information including computer experience and science learning self-efficacy were obtained using self-reported questionnaires. Through drawing analysis, seven categories of conceptions of technology-assisted science learning were identified, including types of technology, location of learning, types of learning activities, content of learning, participants of learning activities, affordance of learning technology, and effects of learning technology. The results further revealed that the students' conceptions of actual and ideal technology-assisted science learning significantly differed in some sub-categories of all categories except the category of participants of learning activities. Moreover, students' computer experience and science learning self-efficacy may link to different conceptions of technology-assisted science learning. Future research and directions are also discussed.

Using displays such as smartphones, in‐car TVs or even fusion information on the side windows of a moving vehicle may cause motion sickness. A visual based pre‐alert method is presented to address the issue and a MSSQ method is applied to assess the sickness degree. Summary: With discrete Intel GPUs entering the high‐performance computing landscape, there is an urgent need for production‐ready software stacks for these platforms. In this article, we report how we enable the Ginkgo math library to execute on Intel GPUs by developing a kernel backed based on the DPC++ programming environment. We discuss conceptual differences between the CUDA and DPC++ programming models and describe workflows for simplified code conversion. We evaluate the performance of basic and advanced sparse linear algebra routines available in Ginkgo's DPC++ backend in the hardware‐specific performance bounds and compare against routines providing the same functionality that ship with Intel's oneMKL vendor library. In this study, an information fusion system displayed fusion information on a transparent display by considering the relationships among the display, background exhibit, and user's gaze direction. We used an ARM-based field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to perform virtual–real fusion of this system as well as evaluated the virtual–real fusion execution speed. The ARM-based FPGA used Intel® RealsenseTM D435i depth cameras to capture depth and color images of an observer and exhibit. The image data was received by the ARM side and fed to the FPGA side for real-time object detection. The FPGA accelerated the computation of the convolution neural networks to recognize observers and exhibits. In addition, a module performed by the FPGA was developed for rapid registration between the color and depth images. The module calculated the size and position of the information displayed on a transparent display according to the pixel coordinates and depth values of the human eye and exhibit. A personal computer with GPU RTX2060 performed information fusion in ~47 ms, whereas the ARM-based FPGA accomplished it in 25 ms. In this work, we studied a flexible transparent organic light‐emitting display (TOLED) with a stacking magnesium (Mg) and silver (Ag) alloys (Mg:Ag)/1,4,5,8,9,11‐hexaazatriphenylenehexacarbonitrile (HATCN)/indium zinc oxide (IZO) transparent cathode and combined it with a high‐contrast flexible electrochromic shutter (ECS). The transmittance of the segment‐type flexible TOLED based on an 84.5% transparent polyimide substrate was 64.2%. The sheet resistance of the TOLED cathode used in this study was 22.94 Ω/sq, which was close to the value needed in OLED cathode applications. The flexible ECS was composed of two color‐changing layers, namely, a hybrid electrochromic layer and a color‐changing gel electrolyte layer, and the contrast ratio of the flexible ECS was 24.5. The ECS blocked background light and increased the contrast ratio of the flexible TOLED panel. The flexible OLED and flexible ECS were bonded with an optical clear adhesive (OCA) film, and the transmittance of the entire structure was 52.3%. After 2,000 folding repetitions of the integral sample with a folding radius of 3 cm, the ECS maintained its coloration characteristics, and TOLED retained a brightness level of 200 nits. Fisetin, a naturally occurring flavonoid, is found in common fruits and vegetables and has been shown to induce cytotoxic effects in many human cancer cell lines. No information has shown that fisetin induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in mouse leukemia WEHI-3 cells. We found that fisetin decreased total viable cells through G0/G1 phase arrest and induced sub-G1 phase (apoptosis). We have confirmed fisetin induced cell apoptosis by the formation of DNA fragmentation and induction of apoptotic cell death. Results indicated that fisetin induced intracellular Ca 2 + increase but decreased the ROS production and the levels of Δ Ψ m in WEHI-3 cells. Fisetin increased the activities of caspase-3, -8 and -9. Cells were pre-treated with inhibitors of caspase-3, -8 and -9 and then treated with fisetin and results showed increased viable cell number when compared to fisetin treated only. Fisetin reduced expressions of cdc25a but increased p-p53, Chk1, p21 and p27 that may lead to G0/G1 phase arrest. Fisetin inhibited anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL and increased pro-apoptotic protein Bax and Bak. Furthermore, fisetin increased the protein expression of cytochrome c and AIF. Fisetin decreased cell number through G0/G1 phase arrest via the inhibition of cdc25c and induction of apoptosis through caspase-dependent and mitochondria-dependent pathways. A new transparent display system with human‐computer interaction (HCI) will become the key technology of next generation display. We have developed an interactive transparent display system with 17″ transparent AMOLED. The transmittance of the transparent AMOLED can achieve 70.6% and the brightness is higher than 483 cd/m2. Furthermore, the interactive transparent AMOLED system has successfully verified in intelligent aquarium and ecological box with real‐time interactive operation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
