La Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de La Laguna lanzó, en el curso 2016/17, un Plan de detección y atención de deficiencias formativas en Biología, Física, Geología, Matemáticas y Química para el alumnado de nuevo ingreso en el centro. Esta iniciativa estuvo motivada por la constatación de que entre las diversas variables que condicionan el rendimiento académico en la universidad, la que muestra una correlación más significativa es la del rendimiento en la fase preuniversitaria. En este trabajo se hace un diagnóstico de la situación en la que se encuentra el alumnado de nuevo ingreso de la Facultad de Ciencias (Grados en Biología, Ciencias Ambientales, Física, Matemáticas y Química) y de la efec- tividad de algunas de las medidas que tradicionalmente se han venido desarro- llando para paliar los déficits formativos detectados, y se propone un modelo estadístico predictivo del rendimiento del alumnado en el primer cuatrimestre de universidad en función de su rendimiento previo, finalizando con la propuesta de una serie de políticas y acciones que desde el nivel local (centro y departamento) al institucional (universidad) habría que acometer si se quiere dar una respuesta eficaz al problema. The School of Sciences of the University of La Laguna launched, in the academic year 2016/17, a Plan for the detection and attention of training deficiencies in Biology, Physics, Geology, Mathematics and Chemistry for incoming freshmen. This initiative is motivated by the observation that among the various variables that condition the academic performance in the university, the one which correlates most significantly is the performance in the pre-university phase. In this work, a diagnosis is made of the situation in which the newly admitted students to the School of Sciences (degrees in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) are, and of the effectiveness of some of the measures that have been developed so far to alleviate the learning deficits detected. Also, a predictive statistical model of student performance in the first semester of university based on their previous performance is proposed. The paper ends by suggesting a series of policies and actions that from the local level (center and department) to the institutional one (university) would have to be undertaken in order to effectively respond to the problems detected.

Multilinear commutators with vector symbol Formula=(b1,…,bm) defined by Formula are considered, where K is a Calderón–Zygmund kernel. The following a priori estimates are proved for w ∈ A∞. For 0 < p < ∞, there exists a constant C such that Formula and Formula where Formula Formula and ML(log L)α is an Orlicz type maximal operator. This extends, with a different approach, classical results by Coifman. As a corollary, it is deduced that the operators Formula are bounded on Lp(w) when w ∈ Ap, and that they satisfy corresponding weighted L(log L)1/r-type estimates with w ∈ A1. In this note we show some estimates for multilinear commutators with vector symbol b = (b1,...,bm) defined by the expression Tbf(x) = Z Rn2 4Ym j=1 (bj (x) − bj (y)) 3 5 K(x, y)f(y) dy, where K is the kernel of any Calderón-Zygmund operator. We generalize and sharpen both classical results from Coifman, and Coifman, Rochberg and Weiss; and also more recent results from the first author. We show that these operators are intimately related to certain appropriate Orlicz type maximal function of the form ML(log L)α where the number α is related to the symbol b.

El objetivo de este Trabajo de Fin de Grado, organizado en cinco cap´ıtulos, es revisar desde una perspectiva din´amica algunos teoremas cl´asicos de Geometr´ıa y elaborar un material interactivo en forma de Libro de GeoGebra que pueda ser utilizado para la formaci´on de profesores de Educaci´on Secundaria. Como resultado de este trabajo, se construyen una serie de actividades que se incorporan en un LIGG (Libro Interactivo de GeoGebra) con diferentes actividades basadas en applets que tratan de facilitar la comprensi´on y el lugar que pueden ocupar estos teoremas en la Educaci´on Secundaria actual. The objective of this Final Degree Project, organized in five chapters, is to revise from a dynamic perspective some classical theorems of Geometry and elaborate an interactive material in the form of a GeoGebra Book that can be used for the training of secondary education teachers. As a result of this work, a series of activities are built that are incorporated into a GG-book (GeoGebra Interactive Book) with different activities based on applets that try to facilitate the understanding and the place that these theorems can occupy in the current Secondary Education.

Este trabajo de innovaci on educativa en matem aticas tiene como objetivo el dise~no de un cat alogo de recursos para el aula, centrado en los niveles de Educaci on Secundaria Obligatoria, y que considera de forma transversal el Cambio Clim atico como area de construcci on de actividades aplicadas. Este cat alogo consta de XXI propuestas de actividades, y se han incorporado ejercicios originales para asegurar trabajar la mayor amplitud de los contenidos de esta etapa. Los recursos para el dise~no de estas actividades han sido obtenidos de muchas fuentes, siempre buscando la m axima relevancia y actualidad en el ambito del Cambio Clim atico. La elaboraci on de las actividades se ha realizado tratando de favorecer el desarrollo de las competencias b asicas en los alumnos, tal y como indica el Marco Pedag ogico ProIDEAC. Adem as, como innovaci on, se han dise~nado las actividades para que sean realizadas siguiendo el Modelo de Instrucci on BSCS 5E, dise~nado por el Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) de Estados Unidos y promocionado es ese pa s para su aplicaci on en la ense~nanza de todas las ciencias. This work of educational innovation in mathematics has as its objective the design of a catalogue of resources for the classroom, centered on the levels of compulsory secondary education, and which considers transversally the Climate Change as an area of construction of applied activities. This catalogue consists of XXI proposals of activities, and original exercises have been incorporated to assure to work the greater amplitude of the contents of this stage. The resources for the design of these activities have been obtained from many sources, always looking for maximum relevance and relevance in the eld of Climate Change. The elaboration of the activities has been carried out trying to favor the development of the basic competences in the students, as indicated in the Pedagogical Framework ProIDEAC. In addition, as an innovation, the activities have been designed to be carried out following the Instruction Model BSCS 5E, designed by the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) of the United States and promoted is that country for its application in the teaching of all sciences.

Máster en Formación del Profesorado de E.S.O. y Bachillerato, F.P. y Ens. In this Master’s Final Project a review of the current literature on the use of technologies and spreadsheets in classroom in general and, specifically in math lessons in Secondary Education is made. Besides, the different repositories of educational resources for the teaching and learning of Mathematics at national and international level are reviewed. From this, the possibilities of including spreadsheets in the teaching and learning of Mathematics are analysed. The main contribution of our project is a first approach to the potential that the spreadsheets present, creating and adapting a curricular material for the teacher that incorporates different didactic activities organized following the current curriculum for de Compulsory Secondary Education. En este Trabajo Fin de Máster se realiza una revisión de la literatura actual sobre el uso de las tecnologías y las hojas de cálculo en las aulas en general, y en las aulas de Matemáticas de Educación Secundaria en particular. Asimismo, se revisan diferentes repositorios de recursos educativos para la enseñanza y aprendizaje de las Matemáticas a nivel nacional e internacional. A partir de ello, se analizan las posibilidades de inclusión de las hojas de cálculo en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de las Matemáticas. La aportación principal de nuestro trabajo es un primer acercamiento a todo el potencial que presentan las hojas de cálculo, elaborando y adaptando para ello un material curricular para el profesor que incorpora diversas actividades didácticas organizadas en torno al currículum de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria actual.

Esta memoria es la conclusión de los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo de la etapa académica y práctica del Máster de Formación del Profesorado de Secundaria de la Universidad de La Laguna. En el presente Trabajo de Fin de Máster, se analiza el currículo educativo para el Programa de Mejora de Aprendizaje y Rendimiento en la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias. Lo relacionamos con el STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), de gran actualidad en el diseño curricular en países anglosajones, principalmente EE.UU., describiendo las características y las dificultades para establecer conexiones entre las disciplinas. Concluimos analizando las herramientas y proponiendo situaciones de aprendizaje que sirva de guía para los docentes, desarrollándose en el formato ProIDEAC para 2º de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria que corresponde al primer año del programa. Se detallará las competencias, criterios de evaluación, contenidos, estándares de aprendizaje que corresponden a los elementos curriculares, así como la justificación, secuenciación y distribución temporal, metodologías, agrupamientos y recursos. Además, se incluyen propuestas a las actividades. In this study is the conclusion of the knowledge acquired throughout the academic and practical stage of the Master's Degree in Secondary Teacher Training at the University of La Laguna. In the present Master, the educational curriculum for the Learning and Performance Improvement Program in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands is analyzed. We relate it to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), highly relevant in curricular design in Anglo-Saxon countries, mainly in the United States, describing the characteristics and difficulties in establishing connections between the disciplines. We conclude by analyzing the tools and proposing learning situations that serve as a guide for teachers, developing in the ProIDEAC format for 2nd of Compulsory Secondary Education corresponding to the first year of the program. The competences, evaluation criteria, contents, standards that adapt to the curricular elements will be detailed, as well as the justification, sequencing and temporal distribution, methodologies, groupings and resources. In addition, proposals for activities are included.
