Artikel ini mengusulkan sistem presensi kelas berbasis pengenalan wajah. Metode yang diterapkan adalah Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) dengan keterbaruan adalah penyajian dalam file Ms. Excel secara langsung. Metode ini dapat digunakan untuk melakukan proses ekstraksi fitur dari citra dan mengklasifikasikan citra. Aplikasi dirancang menggunakan Graphical User Interface (GUI) untuk pengisian presensi mahasiswa. Pada tampilan dapat digunakan untuk melakukan registrasi secara langsung untuk pembuatan dataset dan model. Perangkat keras sistem terdiri dari kamera, minicomputer, dan LCD. Cara kerja sistem keseluruhan meliputi registrasi, preprocessing, pengenalan citra wajah, dan hasil output identitas mahasiswa. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini memiliki nilai akurasi 85% dan jumlah epoch 40. Waktu dalam proses pengenalan yaitu 3 hingga 9 detik dengan jarak wajah dari kamera 30-50 cm. Sistem bekerja maksmimal jika digunakan pada ruangan dengan pencahayaan berlampu terang. Sudut maksimal wajah menghadap kamera sebesar 10 derajat.

The issue of enhancing national competitiveness, in ASEAN, has been strengthened since the establishment of ASEAN Economic Community in 2015. The recognition of graduate competence becomes very crucial for this era. Polytechnic as vocational higher education needs to prepare its graduates in order to compete in the job market, such as through professional certification. This study aimed at mapping the learning outcomes among graduates of the three year - diploma in Electronic Engineering in Polytechnic of Instrumentation and Electronic Control System on professional qualification based on level-5 Indonesian National Qualifications Framework Curriculum and Indonesia Industrial Standard Classification 2015. This study used a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and interviews of the competent persons to provide related research data. The results showed that the learning outcomes of the three year diploma in Electronic Engineering were suitable for the work of the services and processing industry category. This map can be used to develop learning outcomes into a professional competence for a particular job in accordance with the qualifications of the graduate program.

Pengamatan viabilitas benih hasil uji tetrazolium selama ini masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan mata dan mikroskop yang tidak akurat karena intensitas warna tidak dapat dikuantifikasi dan tidak efisien karena penilaian setiap orang berbeda sehingga hasil pengamatan akan lebih subjektif. Kelemahan lain adalah benih diamati satu per satu sehingga tidak efektif. Agar pengamatan lebih akurat, efisien, dan efektif, proses pendeteksian viabilitas benih dengan pengolahan citra digital sangat diperlukan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deteksi luas area warna Hue, Saturation, and Value dalam membaca pola warna merah hasil tetrazolium pada benih. Realisasi akhir adalah sistem dapat mendeteksi maksimal 25 benih dengan waktu operasional 22-25 detik dalam satu kali pendeteksian dengan mengklasifikasikan benih menjadi benih dengan viabilitas normal, abnormal, dan mati. Proses pengklasifikasian diidentifikasi berdasarkan pola warna merah hasil deteksi luas area dari 4 jangkauan warna HSV yaitu merah (175, 100, 20: 180, 255, 255), merah muda (160, 100, 20: 174, 150, 255), putih 1 (175, 0, 0: 180, 100, 255), dan putih 2 (0, 0, 0: 100, 255, 255). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa akurasi sistem dalam membaca jumlah total benih adalah 100% dengan persentase kesalahan dalam pendeteksian luas area warna HSV adalah 1,54%. Competences of students which collected in the last three years from industries during they conducted internship showed that they have good basic technical knowledge and skills, but work ethic should be improved. This research aims to develop learning process and assessment model to assimilate the work competences standard into learning outcomes. It has taken case study in the Electronic Study Program in Politeknik Negeri Bandung (Polban). Data collected by qualitative approach to find the appropriate learning condition in the workplace that can adopted into learning process and assessment in the campus. This research reveal that work competences cannot be built only by introducing work knowledge at the laboratory, but the students must be directly involved in work situation included assessment of work product and their performed in the end of the work even though it is done in the laboratory. This model could shift “way of thinking and learning of students” so that they more ready to face the world of work than before. Works assignment plays the main role in this case
