Multiple changes occur in hormonal regulation with aging and across various endocrine organs. These changes are associated with multiple age-related disorders and diseases. A better understanding of responsible underling biological mechanisms could help in the management of multiple endocrine disorders over and above hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Cellular senescence is involved in multiple biological aging processes and pathologies common in elderly individuals. Cellular senescence, which occurs in many older individuals but also across the lifespan in association with tissue damage, acute and chronic diseases, certain drugs, and genetic syndromes, may contribute to such endocrine disorders as osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Drugs that selectively induce senescent cell removal, "senolytics,", and drugs that attenuate the tissue-destructive secretory state of certain senescent cells, "senomorphics," appear to delay the onset of or alleviate multiple diseases, including but not limited to endocrine disorders such as diabetes, complications of obesity, age-related osteoporosis, and cancers as well as atherosclerosis, chronic kidney disease, neurodegenerative disorders, and many others. More than 30 clinical trials of senolytic and senomorphic agents have already been completed, are underway, or are planned for a variety of indications. Targeting senescent cells is a novel strategy that is distinct from conventional therapies such as HRT, and thus might address unmet medical needs and can potentially amplify effects of established endocrine drug regimens, perhaps allowing for dose decreases and reducing side effects. Background: Elevated lipid levels during late pregnancy are associated with complications and adverse outcome for both mother and newborn. However, it is inconclusive whether a disturbed lipid profile during early pregnancy has similar negative associations. Aim: To evaluate the association of altered lipid levels and development of adverse maternal and fetal outcomes. Materials and methods: This is a Cohort study conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in a Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital, Central India. Women attending outpatient department (OPD), antenatal care (ANC) and in patient department (IPD) in our hospital during the period of study were included. History clinical examination and all relevant investigation were done. All data were calculated and analyzed statistically. Result: Mean age of pregnant women in the study group was 24.89 ± 3.12 years, whereas in the control group, it was 24.72 ± 3.76 years. The levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and VLDL were significantly high in women who developed gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and preeclampsia as compared to those who did not develop GDM and preeclampsia (p<0.001). The levels of total cholesterol, TG, LDL and VLDL in women who developed preterm labor were found to be significantly high in women who developed preterm labor (p<0.01) as compared to women who did not have PTL. Women who developed small for gestational age (SGA) had statistically significant high levels of total cholesterol, TG, LDL and VLDL (p<0.05). The levels of total cholesterol, TG, LDL, VLDL, in women who developed macrosomia were not statistically significant when the two groups were compared (p>0.05). Conclusion: It was seen that third trimester maternal dyslipidemia is associated with various maternal and fetal complications such as gestational diabetes mellitus, preeclampsia, IHCP, preterm labor and SGA babies. Aim: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a mood disorder with a high morbidity and death rate. Lithium (Li), a prominent mood stabilizer, is often used as a first‐line treatment. However, clinical studies have shown that Li is fully effective in roughly 30% of BD patients. Our goal in this study was to use features derived from information theory to improve the prediction of the patient's response to Li as well as develop a diagnostic algorithm for the disorder. Methods: We have performed electrophysiological recordings in patient‐derived dentate gyrus (DG) granule neurons (from a total of 9 subjects) for three groups: 3 control individuals, 3 BD patients who respond to Li treatment (LR), and 3 BD patients who do not respond to Li treatment (NR). The recordings were analyzed by the statistical tools of modern information theory. We used a Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random forest (RF) classifiers with the basic electrophysiological features with additional information theory features. Results: Information theory features provided further knowledge about the distribution of the electrophysiological entities and the interactions between the different features, which improved classification schemes. These newly added features significantly improved our ability to distinguish the BD patients from the control individuals (an improvement from 60% to 74% accuracy) and LR from NR patients (an improvement from 81% to 99% accuracy). Conclusion: The addition of Information theory‐derived features provides further knowledge about the distribution of the parameters and their interactions, thus significantly improving the ability to discriminate and predict the LRs from the NRs and the patients from the controls. Goats are one of the earliest domesticated animals since primeval time period and it plays a pivotal role in rural livelihood owing to its multifaceted income source from meat, milk, skin and other related byproducts. Taking into consideration that India is a developing country and close to seventy percentage of its population still heavily relies on agrarian sector, livestock farming and specifically goat farming carries significant weightage. In that context, goat milk which accounts roughly twenty-two percentages as compared to global level holds a large chunk of nutritional values as well as other crucial macro and micro minerals which are very pertinent to our bodily function. Moreover, the essential amino acids, essential fatty acids found in goat milk are superior to that of the cow's milk. In a nutshell, the goat milk and milk products carry huge potential due to its high nutritional contents.
