Global biofuel production is growing rapidly due to the demand for alternative energy sources and the desire to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. With its abundant biomass resources, Ukraine has great potential to develop the biofuel market. The prospects for the biofuel market in Ukraine are good, and the country has the potential to become a leader in the production and use of biofuels in Europe. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the theoretical provisions and develop practical recommendations for improving the accounting of biofuel production. It has been established that accounting for biofuel production is an important means of achieving sustainable development goals. Performing its information function, accounting can provide internal and external users with the necessary information and optimize the production and sale process of biofuel, while minimizing the negative impact on the environment. This, in turn, contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection in the energy sector. Taking into account the peculiarities of biofuel production, the organizational and methodological support of accounting was improved in terms of the development of the application of the elements of the accounting method: a working plan of accounts was developed for enterprises engaged in the production of biofuel, the sequence of displaying operations in the accounting was improved taking into account the peculiarities of biofuel production, additions were made and modification of the calculation, which takes into account the specifics of the use of biofuel, a management report on the production of biofuel has been developed, which will allow more effective control and management of the enterprise's impact on the environment and contribute to its sustainable development. All the above-mentioned improvements and proposals aim to develop the organization of the activities of biofuel industry enterprises in accordance with the provisions of the concept of sustainable development.

We introduce the innovative use of technetium-99m–labeled macroaggregated albumin to diagnose high-output heart failure in a patient with multiple myeloma with persistent congestion symptoms. Symptom resolution occurred with lenalidomide and steroids. This marks the first clinical use of technetium-99m–labeled macroaggregated albumin for clarifying high-output heart failure etiology.

The Alambay ophiolite zone (AOZ) is located in the axial part of the Early Paleozoic Salair orogen and includes the northern extension of the Alambay-Kaim zone, Salair and Altai Mountains. The Shalap area of the AOZ is predominantly composed of clastic mélange with occasional serpentine mélange. The geological and geochemical studies showed that in the Shalap mélange there are basalt blocks of the Alambay formation whose petrogeochemical features are similar to those of the oceanic island basalts (OIB). Metamorphic rocks of the Angurep complex, represented by garnet and non-garnet amphibolites, form a tectonic slab which is a part of the accretionary complex east of the Shalap mélange area. Metamorphic rocks also form blocks in the Shalap mélange. The amphibolites of the Angurep complex are similar in their petrogeochemical features to the basalts of intraoceanic island arcs. The Shalap mélange is a fragment of the Salairian Cambrian paleosubduction zone. The subduction and exhumation processes in this paleosubduction zone terminated by the 500 Ma time stage.

Introduction. Meningioma is one of the most common central nervous system tumors, accounting for 39.7 % of all primary brain tumors. The tumor originates from arachnoid meningothelial cells and is characterized by a wide range of histological types classified into 15 subtypes. The histological classification of meningiomas allows us to predict meningioma behavior and the risk of disease recurrence, as well as to define treatment strategies. However, clinical outcomes in histological subgroups of patients are often inconsistent with the histological grade of malignancy. Thus, a more reliable method is needed both to determine the histological subtype of the tumor and to predict the clinical course of the disease with the potential for targeted treatment.The purpose of the study was to summarize the available data on the effect of results of the genomic and proteomic tumor analysis on carcinogenesis with the relationship between the mutational changes and noninvasive diagnosis, treatment and the course of the disease.Material and Methods. Literature search was carried out in the PubMed, Elibrary system, publications were included mainly from 2010 to 2023. with the identification of articles by the keyword “genetic analysis of meningiomas” and synonyms. 550 articles were found, of which 55 were used to write a literature review.Conclusion. The study of the molecular genetic profile of meningiomas will improve the classification and establish a correlation with MRI data, the course of the disease and prognosis.

To restore the economy of Ukraine in the post-war period, it is expedient to work out applicable communication tools with investors. With respect to the global market, there is a noticeable trend towards an increase in impact investments in 2016-2022 by $ 1,050 billion or in other words, 10.21 times. The rapid growth of impact investing at the global level testifies to the significance of investments aimed at achieving the provisions of the concept of sustainable development. The purpose of the study is to elaborate theoretical and practical provisions for information support of impact investing in order to attract financial resources to restore the economic activity of business entities in the post-war period in compliance with the sustainable development guidelines. Having conducted a study of the published non-financial reporting of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises of Ukraine, it was found that only 22.7% thereof prepare a Sustainable Development Report annually. With respect to the selected enterprises group, 91% prepare a management report in an arbitrary form and publish it on their official website. In the selected group of enterprises, 91% prepare a management report in any form and publish it on their official website. However, given the arbitrary form of information presentation, investors cannot fully obtain up-to-date information about the company’s social policy and environmental activities. In addition, the formation of reporting on issues of sustainable development and social responsibility has not yet become widespread among Ukrainian enterprises, which hinders the development of impact investing in Ukraine. Especially with regard to increasing the investment attractiveness of Ukrainian enterprises, the structure has been clarified and meaningful recommendations have been developed regarding the information content of the Management Report, which will contribute to increasing the transparency of reporting and attract influential investors.

A model of tectonothermal evolution of the Zagan metamorphic core complex (MCC) based on the new data from 40Ar/39Ar dating of amphibole, mica, and apatite fission-track dating is discussed. A relationship with the long-range impact of processes from the collision of the North China (Amurian–North China) block with the Siberian continent in the Mesozoic era is proposed. The Zagan MСС was formed in the Cretaceous period on the southern flank of a high mountain uplift of Western Transbaikalia, composed of late Paleozoic granitoids of the Angara–Vitim batholith. According to 40Ar/39Ar dating of amphiboles and micas from the mylonite zone, the active development time of the Zagan MCC corresponds to the early Cretaceous epoch (131, 114 Ma). The tectonic exposure of the core from about 15 km to the depths of about 10 km occurred at a rate of tectonic erosion of 0.4–0.3 mm/year as a result of post-collisional extension of the Mongol–Okhotsk orogen. Apatite fission-track dating shows that further exhumation and cooling of the rocks to about 3 km occurred in the lower-upper Cretaceous epoch (112, 87 Ma). The Vladimirskoe deposit is one of the largest gold ore deposits in the southeastern part of the Eastern Sayan. This work is devoted to the localization of mineralized zones and the determination of the formation time of gold mineralization.The geological and structural analysis has shown that second-order discontinuous disturbances accompanied by zones of beresitization, calcification, sulfidization and dyke bodies are the main ore-controlling structures of gold mineralization. For the first time, the age of rocks of dyke complexes and ore mineralized zones of the deposit has been established by 40Ar/39Ar dating methods.

Thermochronological reconstructions of the Zagan metamorphic core complex were carried out using samples from the central part of the core, mylonite zone detachment and lower nappe with U/Pb zircon dating, 40Ar/39Ar amphibole and mica dating, and apatite fission-track dating. In the tectonothermal evolution of the metamorphic core, there was distinguished an active phase (tectonic denudation) of the dome structure formation during the Early Cretaceous (131–114 Ma), which continued in the Late Cretaceous – Paleocene (111–54 Ma) in passive phase (erosive denudation). During an active phase, there was initiated a large-amplitude gently dipping normal fault (detachment), which was accompanied by tilting (sliding of rocks along subparallel listric faults). As a result, about 7 km thick rock strata underwent denudation over 17 Ma at a rate of about 0.4 mm/year. In passive phase, about 6 km thick rock strata were eroded over 57 Ma, with a denudation rate of about 0.1 mm/year. Thus, the Zagan metamorphic core complex was tectonically exposed from the mid-crust to depths of about 9 km in the Early Cretaceous as a result of post-collisional collapse of the Mongol-Okhotsk orogen. Further cooling of the rocks in the metamorphic core to depths of about 3 km occurred in the Late Cretaceous – Pliocene as a result of destruction of more than 6 km high mountains.

Це дослідження має на меті вивчити вплив індивідуального ставлення до впровадження цифрових платформ на дві важливі залежні змінні: фінансове забезпечення домогосподарств і довіру до інституцій, які є важливими індикаторами економічного розвитку. Крім того, дослідження має на меті розробити політичні рамки для ефективного впровадження цифрових платформ в українську економіку, сприяючи інноваціям, підприємництву та інвестиціям. Аналіз ґрунтується на даних Світового дослідження цінностей (World Values Survey) за період із 1980 по 2020 рік. Для вивчення взаємозв'язку між відповідними змінними застосовано логістично-регресійний аналіз. Крім того, для представлення трьох різних сценаріїв було застосовано аналіз теорії ігор, який досліджував різні змінні рішення, цінові стратегії, політику розвитку цифрової інфраструктури та переваги локальних і міжнародних платформ. Результати логістичного регресійного аналізу виявили позитивний зв'язок між індивідуальним ставленням до технологій та вищим рівнем фінансового забезпечення домогосподарств і довіри до інституцій економічного розвитку. Крім того, теоретико-ігровий аналіз дає цінну інформацію для політиків і зацікавлених сторін галузі, забезпечуючи сприятливе середовище для цифрових інновацій, підприємництва та інвестицій. Це дослідження робить внесок в існуючу наукову літературу, спеціально вивчаючи роль індивідуального ставлення до цифрових платформ і технологій у стимулюванні економічного зростання. Застосування теоретико-ігрового аналізу для розробки політичної бази цифрової економіки України є новим підходом до розуміння динаміки впровадження цифрових технологій та їхнього потенційного впливу на економічний розвиток. Дослідження підкреслює важливість індивідуального ставлення до цифрових платформ і технологій як ключових рушіїв економічного розвитку. Створення культури, яка цінує інновації та технології, має вирішальне значення для розширення цифрової економіки України й підтримки інклюзивного та сталого економічного зростання в цифрову епоху. Ефективно впроваджуючи цифрові платформи, Україна може сприяти економічному розвиткові, розширити можливості своєї робочої сили та підвищити свою конкурентоспроможність на світовому ринкові.

A reconstruction of the tectonothermal evolution of the Laojunshan–Song Chai granite gneiss massif (North Vietnam, South China) was carried out, based on summaries of the latest isotopic and fission-track dating results. The recorded wide range (420–465 Ma) of the age of granite gneiss rocks testifies to the long-term existence of a partially molten layer at a depth of 20–30 km for several tens of Ma. By the Devonian–early Carboniferous, a section of the excessively thickened crust was denudated, the massif was exhumated to the level of the upper crust, and isotope systems were “frozen”. The rate of uplift of the rocks of the massif is estimated to be about 0.2–0.5 mm/year. In the further history of the granite gneiss massif, episodes of repeated burial to a depth of about 13 km are recorded, associated with the Indosinian collision. The rocks have experienced metamorphism of the amphibolite-green schist facies, accompanied by tectonic transport in the form of a thrust sheet. Over the next 200 Ma, the uplift of the massif and the erosion of the overlying strata occurred in discrete pulses, during a sequence of active tectonic events. Thus, the thermochronological and P-T history of the Laojunshan–Song Chai massif is a kind of chronicle of regional tectonic–thermal events. In the history of the massif, traces of two orogenic cycles associated with the collision of the Cathaysia and Yangtze blocks in the Lower Paleozoic and the Indosinian collision in the Triassic are recorded.

In E. coli, disruption of TopoI and RNAP interaction decreases cells viability and leads to hypernegative DNA supercoiling and R loops accumulation. TopoI and DNA gyrase bind around transcription units and TopoI recognizes cleavage sites by a specific motif and negative supercoiling.

ABSTRACT Phazolicin (PHZ) is a peptide antibiotic exhibiting narrow-spectrum activity against rhizobia closely related to its producer, Rhizobium sp. strain Pop5. Here, we show that the frequency of spontaneous PHZ-resistant mutants in Sinorhizobium meliloti is below the detection limit. We find that PHZ can enter S. meliloti cells through two distinct promiscuous peptide transporters, BacA and YejABEF, which belong to the SLiPT (SbmA-like peptide transporter) and ABC (ATP-binding cassette) transporter families, respectively. The dual-uptake mode explains the lack of observed resistance acquisition because the simultaneous inactivation of both transporters is necessary for resistance to PHZ. Since both BacA and YejABEF are essential for the development of functional symbiosis of S. meliloti with leguminous plants, the unlikely acquisition of PHZ resistance via the inactivation of these transporters is further disfavored. A whole-genome transposon sequencing screen did not reveal additional genes that can provide strong PHZ resistance when inactivated. However, it was found that the capsular polysaccharide KPS, the novel putative envelope polysaccharide PPP (PHZ-protecting polysaccharide), as well as the peptidoglycan layer jointly contribute to the sensitivity of S. meliloti to PHZ, most likely serving as barriers that reduce the amount of PHZ transported inside the cell. IMPORTANCE Many bacteria produce antimicrobial peptides to eliminate competitors and create an exclusive niche. These peptides act either by membrane disruption or by inhibiting essential intracellular processes. The Achilles’ heel of the latter type of antimicrobials is their dependence on transporters to enter susceptible cells. Transporter inactivation results in resistance. Here, we show that a rhizobial ribosome-targeting peptide, phazolicin (PHZ), uses two different transporters, BacA and YejABEF, to enter the cells of a symbiotic bacterium, Sinorhizobium meliloti. This dual-entry mode dramatically reduces the probability of the appearance of PHZ-resistant mutants. Since these transporters are also crucial for S. meliloti symbiotic associations with host plants, their inactivation in natural settings is strongly disfavored, making PHZ an attractive lead for the development of biocontrol agents for agriculture.

The age restrictions for productive mineral associations of the two largest gold deposits of the Southern Urals—Svetlinsk and Kochkar, which are located in the East Uralian megazone—are discussed. The 40Ar/39Ar dating method was performed for the first time for potassium-containing hydrothermal minerals (micas and amphiboles) from the ore veins and ore-host alteration, as well as from marbles. The age estimates obtained are in the range of 290–276 Ma; the weighted average value for the Svetlinsk deposit is 276 ± 2 Ma; for the Kochkar field, 284 ± 2 Ma. It is supposed that the studied mineral assemblages of the Svetlinsk and Kochkar deposits were formed in the beginning of the postcollision stage corresponding to the tectonic relaxation regime. Age of hydrothermal mineral formation in the gold fields of the Kochkar anticlinorium are consistent with the time of post-tectonic plutonic activity, which was expressed in the Middle–Southern Urals in large-scale granitization (~300 Ma). The ore-bearing alteration of a femic profile (of the same age for two deposits), which are most likely basificates, are near-synchronous with the granitization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Microvascular dysfunction (MVD) is considered a form of cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV), independently associated with poor prognosis after heart transplantation (HTX). It is unknown whether traditional risk factors for CAV are also applicable to MVD. We retrospectively analyzed factors associated with MVD in 94 HTX recipients who completed a PET scan after a normal baseline left heart catheterization excluding epicardial CAV. MVD was defined by abnormal PET blood flow. The mean age was 52 ± 14 and MVD was found in 49 patients (53%). No donor risk factors were significantly associated with recipient MVD. Recipients risk factors for MVD included—diabetes mellitus (51% vs. 27%, p = 0.016) and hypertension (78% vs. 49%, p = 0.004) in patients with and without MVD, respectively. In a multivariate model, recipient hypertension and diabetes were the only significant determinants of MVD development (OR = 2.63, 95% CI [1.69–36.98], p = 0.009 and OR 2.1, 95% CI [1.10–15.38], p = 0.035, respectively). In conclusion, MVD was more associated with metabolic risk determinants rather than traditional CAV risk factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
