This research investigates a framework for 3D Human Shape Reconstruction from RGB Images captured by Security Camera or Internet Protocol Camera (IP Camera). At first, the study gives an overview of current technologies to create a Human Body 3D Model. The proposed method is then described, including two main stages: (1) Preprocess Stage: calibrating camera and coordinate system; (2) Process Stage: collecting and optimizing data. Advantages and disadvantages of the proposed method were analyzed experimentally and compared with previous publications. Research results demonstrates that our framework for 3D human reconstruction could provide a positive outcome, which can be applied in a wide array of industrial sectors.

The aim of this research is to propose a hybrid Fuzzy-PI Gyro-Damping (HFPGD) controller applying for autopilot homing missile. The system error (ER) and its change of error (CER) are the inputs of the controller to build the rule-base and the output would be the combination of initial and scaling factor coefficients. This controller was applied to a case study of short-range ballistic missile with maximum speed approximate Mach 3. The results indicate the considerable improvement in stability and overshoot performance between HFPGD controller vice versa traditional PID and Three-loop controller.

In this study, the finite element method (FEM) is used to investigate the dynamic response of continuous girder bridge due to moving three-axle vehicle . Vertical reaction forces of axles that change with time make bending vibration of girder significantly increase. The braking in the first span is able to create response in other spans. In addition, the dynamic impact factors are investigated by both FEM and experiment for Hoa Xuan bridge. The results of this study provide an improved understanding of the bridge dynamic behavior and can be used as additional references for bridge codes by practicing engineers.

In search of high-quality health products, it is required that probiotic preparations consumed in gastro-intestinal condition remain metabolically active and preserve their activity. Several recent studies, consequently, have focused on probiotic protection via encapsulation in order to optimize probiotics’ viability as well as their delivery into gastro-intestinal environment. The objectives of this study were to find out a new material for encapsulation of probiotics, utilizing capsules prepared from Saccharomyces cerevisiae to protect living probiotic cells. The encapsulation of cells was achieved, using the crack scars of the yeast cell walls (YCW) created by the sonication method. Besides, some probiotic cells can be considered as being encapsulated by some surrounded yeast cells by direct cell-cell contact. It is concluded that thanks to encapsulation by yeast cells, probiotic’s metabolic activity and survival are markedly improved. This suggests a high potential in protecting probiotics from the extreme condition of digestion process and can be applied in protecting probiotic preparations in food formulations as well. It was found that encapsulation yield in this study reached its highest point at 82.008 ± 1.123%. Viability of encapsulated probiotic in simulated gastric juice (SGJ) after 150 minutes is 19.048 ± 2.701%, compared to that of free cells at 0%. Likewise, after a 4-hour treatment in simulated intestinal juice (SIJ) (0.5% bile salt) encapsulated probiotic proves better survival at 56.338 ± 5.094% than free cell at 43.677 ± 2.058%.

The Yali Hydropower Plant (YHPP) is located on the Sesan River in the West Highlands of Vietnam's Central region. It has an installed capacity of 720 MW and an energy output of 3,600 GWh per annum. Construction of the plant began in 1993 and was completed in 2000. Inundation of the reservoir led to the flooding of 1,933 ha agriculture-based land and the relocation of 1,149 households living in 26 villages. In published environmental and financial studies of YHPP, the original financial analysis ignored a wide range of environmental costs in determining the most important indices of financial viability namely, its net present value and electricity price. As a result, the full cost of hydropower generation scheme is understated. Thus the calculated price charged for electricity generated by the plant did not cover the full cost of electricity production, and the estimated net present value of the plant did not reflect its real value. The purpose of this study is to estimate the monetary value of the main environmental protection and compensation costs of YHPP and to incorporate them into the financial viability indices of the plant, namely its net present value and electricity price.

Throughout the world, the benefits of large dams are being called into question. Most notably, the World Commission on Dams has highlighted the social, environmental and economic problems that such schemes can bring. New research from Vietnam has added more fuel to this debate and shown how the environmental costs of hydro-electric schemes can significantly affect their economic viability. The study argues that incorporating these costs into electricity charges can both generate funds for environmental rehabilitation and community compensation, and reduce demand for environmentally-damaging power generation.

A simple technique is proposed to correlate the roentgenologic and anatomic data in the infant lung.It consists of serial roentgenograms of lung samples taken in air and under water, after air inflation under a controlled pressure. The lung samples are then fixed with formalin and are maintained air inflated during the fixation period.Comparison of histologic sections at low magnification with roentgenologic images gives a better understanding of roentgenograms and can be used either for teaching or research purposes. A few examples of normal and pathologic cases are presented.

In this unusual case of bilateral congenital pulmonary lymphangiectasia with complete block of pulmonary venous return, the radiological diagnosis was made difficult by the association of the lymphangiectasia with bilateral interstitial emphysema. Routine dissection of the heart, considered to be normal since the cardio-thoracic index was only 0.45, relealed the true cause of death. The heart was the site of extreme hypoplasia of the left heart with complete mitral and aortic atresia. The ostium secundum being completely closed, the left atrium, after receiving the pulmonary veins, was completely blocked. It communicated neither with the right atrium, nor with the non-existent left ventricule.

This study provides elements for the revision of the subfamily Eumedoninae. The detailed description of the specimens led to the presence of characters that are common to different genera and many species.
