1. Quantum pathways interference in laser-induced electron diffraction revealed by a semiclassical method

Abstract

We develop a novel method for strong-laser-field physics based on the combination of the semiclassical Herman-Kluk propagator and the strong-field approximation and demonstrate its high accuracy on the calculations of photoelectron momentum distribution (PMD) for atoms and molecules in intense lasers. For rescattered electrons, we show that for a given time that electron tunnels to the continuum, there are typically multiple trajectories that lead to the same final momentum in the high-energy region. These trajectories start with slightly different initial transverse momenta and carry different phases giving rise to the interference structures in the PMD, which can also be associated with the laser-free electron-ion differential cross section. This is in contrast to the well-known long and short trajectories, which result in different interference patterns. Our results can be used to extend current capabilities of the laser-induced electron diffraction and other ultrafast imaging and strong-field spectroscopic techniques., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

3D photoelectron angular distributions (PADs) are measured from an atomic target ionized by ultrafast, elliptical fields of opposite handedness. Comparing these PADs to one another and to numeric simulations, a difficult to avoid systematic error in their orientation is identified and subsequently corrected by imposing the dichroic symmetry by which they are necessarily related. We show that this correction can be directly applied to molecular targets in the same fields. Nghiên cứu đã đề xuất bộ chỉ số đánh giá kết quả bảo vệ môi trường (Environmental Key Performance Index - EKPI) cho hoạt động dầu khí ngoài khơi và hoạt động dầu khí trên bờ phù hợp với các quy định của quốc tế và Việt Nam. Bộ chỉ số EKPI là công cụ để các doanh nghiệp dầu khí tại Việt Nam đánh giá và đo lường kết quả hoạt động bảo vệ môi trường và phát triển bền vững. Thông qua kết quả đánh giá chỉ số EKPI, các doanh nghiệp sẽ tìm ra các giải pháp nâng cao chất lượng trong công tác quản lý chất thải, sử dụng hiệu quả năng lượng và tài nguyên, tiết kiệm chi phí quản lý vận hành; đồng thời theo dõi xu hướng phát triển của doanh nghiệp gắn liền với mục tiêu bảo vệ môi trường và phát triển bền vững.

Abstract

Tannery wastewater was considered as a heavily industrial wastewater with very high amount of wastewater discharged everyday but not well-treating. The tanning wastewater from producing process contains various high strength toxic chemicals which could do the inhibition for biological treatment process leading to low quality effluent. It is required to perform the pre-treatment process by physical–chemical treatment including coagulation and flocculation in order to reduce the content of toxic chemicals before biological treatment. This study focused on investigate on the performance of Poly Ferric Chloride (PFC) as a flocculant for flocculation process in tannery wastewater treatment due to its advantages which could apply in a wide range of industries to help remove materials suspended in water. The application of PFC was conducted in batch test to find the optimum conditions including pH, PFC dose, and rotation speed in term of treating tannery wastewater performance. In addition, a common flocculant polyaluminium chloride (PAC) was chosen to compare with PFC in term of treatment efficiency and cost effective. As the result, with 0.4 ml/l PFC, pH – 10.4 with 100 rpm spins, it reaches its efficient treatment COD process to 93,3%; NH4+ 90,4% and SO42- 79,2% with could easily promote a potential alternative flocculant with excellent performance but lower cost.

7. Anti-inflammatory constituents from Psychotria prainii H. Lév.

Abstract

One new and three known compounds were isolated from the ethanol extract of Psychotria prainii aerial parts. By means of spectroscopic methods, their structures were elucidated to be deacetylasperulosidic acid 6-ethyl ether (1), asperulosidic acid (2), asperuloside (3) and obtucarbamates C (4). The isolated compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory effect on NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Among them, compounds 2 and 4 exhibited strong effect with the IC50 values of 5.75 ± 0.85 and 6.92 ± 0.43 μM, respectively. This is the first report for the chemical composition and biological activity of P. prainii. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
