Sumbersawit Village is located on the slopes of Mount Lawu and has a natural panorama that can be a promising tourism potential. The village government has ideas for the development of village tourism, but until now it has not been able to develop well due to the lack of resources and the role of actors in the development of village tourism. The method used in this research is descriptive exploratory which aims to describe a phenomenon and describe chronologically the data and facts in the field. The data obtained is then processed using the triangulation method. This technique analyzes data from various data sources, including observation data, interviews, and secondary data. The use of this analysis technique aims to combine all data in order to produce a precise and comprehensive conclusion. The results of the research show that Sumbersawit Village has the potential of an agritourism village which is divided into 3 areas namely Growong, Sawit and Miri. The goal of this study is to identify possible areas for tourism development in Tabanan Regency, Bali namely in Timpag Village. In Tabanan, It’s a relatively new tourist destination. The success of other tourists villages in Bali seem to inspire the Timpag villagers to enhance their tourism potential. This research aims to reveal the factors that make Timpag villagers interested in building a tourist village and inventory the tourism potential. Therefore, the sample is those selected in Timpag village by purposive sampling. The research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data was gathered through observations and literature reviews. Each data set was analyzed using qualitative techniques. This research found that animo as a social interest is an important factor in the development of tourist villages. The research findings indicate that: First, the Timpag people are eager to develop the village’s tourism potential and have shown social solidarity by prioritizing the creation of tourist infrastructures. Many forms of tourism solidarity were not caused by the role of the pokdarwis. The tourism animo has become a huge internal factor for the Timpag people for their tourism village; Second, Timpag Village has potential for natural tourism, cultural tourism, ecotourism, and special interest tourism. It has developed based on capital and social commitment based on their tourism animo. Some of the tourism potential hasn’t developed optimally due to the lack of support from pokdarwis, resistance from some Timpag communities, and lack of local government assistance for tourism development in Timpag village.

In Jamu Kiringan Tourism Village, Yogyakarta, a community service initiative addressed challenges in the herbal medicine industry, predominantly run by women. These challenges included limited raw material supply, insufficient product innovation, business licensing, halal certification, and digital marketing skills. To tackle these issues, the project employed strategies like providing and planting medical plant seeds to create independence for raw materials for herbal medicine sellers and as an additional herbal tourism attraction, product innovation training, guidance for obtaining halal certification and business permits, and digital marketing training utilizing free platforms such as Canva, Capcut, Klook, and Instagram. These measures aimed to bolster the village's herbal medicine sector, fostering innovation, quality assurance, and digital outreach, ultimately transforming it into a thriving Tourism Village.

Tourism villages have become a viable concept for rural economic regeneration and sustainable development in many developing nations, such as Indonesia. Success in developing tourism villages depends significantly on the efficient cooperation among different stakeholders, which is frequently hindered by variables including power dynamics, institutional obstacles, and resource limitations. This study intends to investigate how collaborative governance may harness local potential for sustainable tourism village development, using the case of Karangreja Sub-District in Central Java Province, Indonesia. The study utilized a qualitative technique to gather data through interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observation with local communities, government agencies, commercial sector, and civil society organizations. The results emphasize the significance of involving multiple stakeholders, providing education and raising awareness, and utilizing digital technologies to support the sustainable development of tourism villages. It also discusses the difficulties and advantages of collaborative governance in rural and developing areas. The study enhances understanding of collaborative governance in sustainable tourism development and provides recommendations for policy and practice, including empowering local communities, enhancing institutional capacity, and increasing digital inclusion. This research aims to offer valuable information and direction to stakeholders and policymakers involved in creating and overseeing sustainable tourism villages. Tourism based on local wisdom serves as a solution to enhance economic aspects while considering the sustainability of cultural and natural aspects. Industrial tourism can also be packaged to attain environmental and economic benefits. These two tourism themes can be combined in certain areas with potentiality. The aim of this research is to identify the opportunities and challenges of Sering Village in its transition to a local wisdom-based industrial-oriented tourism village. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. The case study's location of this research is Sering Village, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. Data gathering methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis methods involve the utilisation of the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study provide an overview of the opportunities and challenges in developing Sering Village into a local wisdom-based industrial-oriented tourism destination. The prospects held by Sering Village stem from the local wisdom of its community and its strategic location. Sering Village possesses local wisdom preserved by its community in the form of local products as well as traditional activities and customs. In terms of its location, Sering Village is situated between the center of the paper and pulp industry and the Istana Sayap, a legacy of the Malay Pelalawan Kingdom. Istana Sayap can be reached via both land and river routes. However, challenges faced by Sering Village involve public facilities and the absence of a well-conceived model for the development of a local wisdom-based industrial-oriented tourism village in Sering Village. Purpose — The purpose of this study is to analyze community participation in Sasak Ende Tourism Village in managing and designing sustainable tourism development strategies based on the results of typological analysis of community participation. Method — This study employs qualitative methods utilizing primary and secondary data sources. Data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. We interviewed informants from the Central Lombok Tourism Office, the Managing Secretary of Sasak Ende Tourism Village, and Pujut Regency. Furthermore, triangulation analysis techniques were utilized in this study to assess the validity of the data. Result — Based on the analysis, three levels of community participation were identified in Sasak Ende Tourism Village: material incentive participation, interactive participation, and independent mobilization. Community participation activities in Sasak Ende Tourism Village adhere to sociocultural, economic, and environmentally sustainable tourism principles. The strategy employed focuses on developing human resources (HR) and preserving Sasak traditional houses. The analysis results in a sustainable tourism development strategy for Sasak Ende Tourism Village based on the typology of participation and the principles of sustainable tourism. Practical implications — This study suggests that fostering various levels of community participation and aligning tourism development strategies with socio-cultural, economic, and environmental sustainability principles can lead to the preservation of cultural heritage and sustainable growth in destinations like Sasak Ende Tourism Village. The development of Cibuntu Tourism Village will grow if there is participation from stakeholders between the government, the community, and the private sector in providing public services in the tourism sector such as infrastructure, roads, facilities, and promotion. Collaborative governance is an effective strategy to develop Cibuntu Tourism Village given the limited budget from the government. This research aims to explore the collaboration between the government, the community, and the private sector in developing Cibuntu Tourism Village and improving the economy of the local community and the Regional Original Revenue of Kuningan Regency. This research uses a qualitative method through a descriptive approach by taking the research location in Cibuntu Tourism Village, and the Kuningan Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Office as a supporting location. The data collection techniques used are literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study use the theory of Ansell and Gash (Astuti et al., 2020) which includes setting initial conditions, institutional design, leadership, and collaborative processes. In Ansell and Gash's theory, the leadership indicator is not optimal due to the lack of communication and cooperation between the Cibuntu Village government and the Kuningan Regency Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office. This research also identified supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of Cibuntu Tourism Village. Supporting factors include cultural potential, beautiful nature, socio-historical aspects, and agriculture and livestock. The inhibiting factors include lack of coordination, access far from the main road, lack of digital promotion, and inadequate human resources. The development of Cibuntu Tourism Village through Collaborative Governance can improve the economy of the local community and the Original Revenue of Kuningan Regency. However, to achieve optimal results, it is necessary to improve communication and cooperation between the village government and related agencies, as well as increase digital promotion and human resource development. This research explores the implementation of legalities faced by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in tourist villages, with a focus on understanding and compliance with applicable regulations. The research method involves in-depth interviews with MSME owners and related stakeholders in the tourist villages selected for the survey. The research results identified that MSMEs in tourist villages often face difficulties in understanding and fulfilling the necessary legal requirements, such as business permits. These findings highlight the need for a more integrated approach and active assistance from relevant parties, including government and non-government organizations, to increase MSMEs' understanding and compliance with applicable regulations. The results show that the legality of MSMEs, such as business permits and product certificates, has a significant impact on the growth and sustainability of tourist villages. Implementing clear regulations and a good understanding of the legal process can increase the competitiveness of MSMEs and strengthen the local economy. This research provides policy recommendations for the government and practical guidelines for MSME owners in utilizing legality to support sustainable development of tourist villages. This research aims to analyze the existing conditions of regenerative tourism development, the level of local community participation and propose an empowerment model in the development of regenerative tourism. Qualitative research with a verification approach is used to analyze research problems. Data is collected through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies related to the subject being researched. The data analysis technique used is qualitative thematic. The informants involved in this research were local communities, regional government, non-governmental organizations, academics and tourists. The findings of this research are the existence of regenerative tourism practices by local communities and tourists. Local communities have positive attitudes and also tourists' perceptions of regenerative tourism practices. However, tourists want improvements in several other aspects. The level of local community participation in regenerative tourism entrepreneurship was found to be still minimal. This is due to human resources, economic capital and partnerships to manage a regenerative tourism business. Community participation is essential in developing tourism villages because the potential of social and cultural diversity resources in the community is the primary driving force behind the activities in the tourism village. This research aims to analyze the stages and obstacles of community participation in the development of Warloka Pesisir Tourism Village. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research type. Data were gathered using observation, interviews, focus group discussion impacts (FGDs), and documentation. The concept used to analyze the data is the concept of participation from Cohen and Uphoff. The results showed that based on the four types of participation, the Warloka Pesisir community has not yet reached an optimal level of participation in developing a tourism village. Participation in decision-making and benefit-taking shows that the community is passive in decision-making and tends only to follow the final decision. This has an impact on the community's lack of maximum benefits from the development of tourist villages. Some existing obstacles hinder participation and tourism development, so more attention must be paid to supporting community participation by updating infrastructure and developing skills with empowerment.

This paper describes the dynamics of conflict that occurred in the Batu Dinding rural tourism development between the local community and Tanjung Belit Village. The conflict occurred since 2015, and it’s was declared over in 2021. Therefore, what were the dynamics of the conflict during those six years? This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method with data collection through fieldwork. The data collection techniques used were a combination of limited participant observation techniques, informal and semi-structured interviews, and document studies. The results show that the conflict over the management of the Batu Dinding Waterfall tourism area in Tanjung Belit Village originated from agrarian conflicts related to land reoccupation. The motive is motivated by the development of tourism that has economic value and wants to monopolize it to get economic benefits (cuan). So the horizontal conflict between the Domo tribe and Tanjung Belit Village with the Tanjung tribe was resolved through legal channels and the police and the actors who committed acts of violence should also be imprisoned. In the end, the conflict was resolved through inter-tribal deliberation and the land was retained by Tanjung Belit Village.

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic is affecting family members of all age groups in tourism villages in the Yogyakarta Special Region (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta – DI Yogyakarta), Indonesia, due to the interruption of tourism activities. This study used a qualitative approach to adapt the theoretical framework of the Family Resilience Model (FRM) by exploring and comprehending the mechanisms through which families with elderly members, navigated the challenges. The result showed that the elderly provided some services to tourists and donated assets during the pandemic to support the family economy. The socio-cultural values of society and respect for the role of the elderly also contributed to the survival of the families. Moreover, the study contributed to understanding the maintenance of family resilience during the pandemic. This could be a lesson to develop assistance programs for the community and the elderly in using their potential.

AbstractSustainable tourism development can utilize the social capital of society to encourage development. The social networks, norms, and trusts the community has built reflect social capital, which will be important for supporting and responding to sustainable tourism. The village is located in Wonosari District, Malang Regency, which is famous for its tourism village potential, namely Bangelan Village. This tourist village uses the community’s potential and natural resources, plantations, and goat farms as tourist attractions. Thus providing good benefits for the village community. This study has the H1 hypothesis: norms, social networks, and trust have a significant influence on social capital, and the H2 hypothesis: the presence of social capital has a significant influence on sustainable tourism. The sample used for this study was the Bangelan Village community, with SEM-PLS (structural equation modeling) data analysis. The study results show that the H1 and H2 hypotheses have significant and positive values. The findings show that social networks, norms, and trusts can form the social capital of the community and play an important role as a driver of sustainable tourism development in Bangelan Tourism Village.

The purpose of this court program is to map the potential for orange-picking educational tourism in Bontona Saluk Village, Bontomatene District, Selayar Island Regency. Methods for implementing the observation service program, mapping tourism potential, compiling potential maps, monitoring and feedback. From the results of the activities, it was found that the potential in Bontona Saluk Village includes abundant citrus plantations, beautiful natural panoramas, cafes with natural concepts, abundant water sources, adequate rest areas for visitors, and national and international schools. From this potential, Bontona Saluk Village can become a tourist village by developing orange plantations as a tourist spot for picking oranges, rest areas as displays to showcase processed citrus products and their derivatives, natural cafes as places to eat traditional food, abundant water can be used for tourist spots and watering land, educational institutions as places for comparative studies in teaching and learning processes and school management. Tourism village as a tourism destination is a proven way out for improving society’s welfare as well as a sustainable tourism destination. This paper aims for demonstrating initial effort in a community in order to build tourism village, in accordance to the sustainable tourism development. This literature study shows that tourism awareness group called Pokdarwis has succeeded in building strong relationship in community to realize the vision of improving welfare of village community. This study aims to examine the management of natural resources as a basis for the development of a tourist village in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Natural resources are the basic capital of village development which aims to increase the welfare of local residents. Villages in Boyolali Regency have a diversity of local natural resources between their regions and these are valuable capital for village development. Non-doctrinal law study methods are used with qualitative descriptive analysis approaches. The research locations were in villages in Boyolali Regency. The research results show that the development of tourist villages in Boyolali Regency, Indonesia, has led to an increase in the number of tourist villages. The majority of these tourist villages are based on natural resources, while the rest are based on religion, culture, cuisine, and artificial resources. This research aims to describe the factors driving the development of a tourism village through local culture in Kepuhsari Village. Additionally, the study seeks to depict the process of local cultural commodification in the development of Wayang Villages, Kepuhsari. The research methodology employed is qualitative, utilizing direct observation and in-depth interviews as data collection techniques. The results indicate that the development of a tourism village through local culture in Kepuhsari is influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors involve the modern mindset of the community, the availability of cultural resources, economic factors, community efforts to preserve wayang (traditional puppetry), and the creativity of the local population. On the other hand, external factors include adapting to market trends and consumer preferences, as well as support and socialization regarding tourism villages from external entities. The commodification of local culture materializes through innovations in wayang, leading to various changes in its function, form, production processes, distribution, and consumption. These innovations serve as responses to market demands and external support, creating an environment conducive to the development of Wayang Villages as a tourism destination. This research provides a deeper understanding of the dynamics of local cultural commodification in the context of tourism village development, with a focus on the specific case of Wayang Villages in Kepuhsari. The implications of these findings can serve as a foundation for more targeted policy development, supporting the preservation of local culture while stimulating economic growth through the tourism sector.

The aim of this community service activity is to help members of the Paingan Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) prepare themselves to become tour guides in the tourist village of Nagari Guguak Kuranji Hilir, Padang Pariaman Regency by providing training and assistance. To carry out this activity using lecture, discussion, demonstration, and simulation methods as a tour guide. More than ten people who are members of POKDARWIS Paingan Tourism Village Nagari Kuranji Hilir Padang Pariaman Regency participated in community service activities in the form of tour guide training at the home of one of the Paingan POKDARWIS members. This activity resulted in increasing the knowledge and skills of POKDARWIS Paingan members in terms of guiding tourists, especially for the Nagari Guguak Kuranji Hilir tourist village according to its tourist attractions. This can be seen from the ability of the training participants who were asked to simulate as tour guides during the activity. In addition, the service implementation team accompanied POKDARWIS members through the WhatsApp social media group to continue to provide motivation and direction to PAINGAN POKDARWIS members to improve their abilities as tour guides and provide better service to visitors to the Guguak Kuranji Hilir Tourism Village.

Rawa Gede Agrotourism is a tourist attraction located in Sirnajaya Tourism Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. Coffee is one of the largest plantation products in Sirnajaya Tourism Village. But so far the results of coffee plantations have not been used as typical souvenirs. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide skills in making coffee product packaging designs to coffee farmer groups, communities and tourism driving groups in rural areas. This series of activities starts from March to July 2023 and there are 2 (two) stages of community service that have been carried out including varied lectures presented by resource persons with some material that touched on tourism products and workshops in the form of direct training on making coffee product packaging designs. The success of this activity was evaluated using a krikpatrick evaluation model in the form of reaction evaluation and learning evaluation by providing a pre-test before the training began to measure participants' understanding of the material to be delivered then post-test was carried out after the workshop was completed. The results of this activity showed that the participants were very enthusiastic and motivated to promote Rawa Gede coffee products by expanding their target market through tourism activities in Sirnajaya Village and this activity could also improve the economy of rural communities.

The research aims to analyse and design a socio-economic institutional empowerment programme in a unique and attractive religious tourism village based on local wisdom. The study used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method in a tourist village that is unique as a religious and natural tourism destination in Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. Data collection through dialogue, observation, documentation, and focus group discussions. Data was analyzed in a participatory, and research informants were determined by purposive sampling of stakeholders in the tourism village. The research results showed that potential of the tourism village is very large and has met the criteria of something to see in the form of flowing rivers as well as beautiful and natural hills, something to do with ritual events as a religious destination, and something to buy, namely food and beverage products that are distinctive, unique and interesting. Reference for further studies using a constructivist paradigm through deeper ethnographic and symbolic interaction research methods. Practical implications can be used as a location for community service, practicum, internships, practical work, and real work lectures for students and lecturers on the development of religious tourism villages and productive tourism villages. Research novelty namely construct a religious tourism village that has distinctive, unique, and interesting characteristics and previously and empowerment programs for the development of socio-economic institutions for local communities. The hope is that it can become a recommendation for the formulation of public and social policies to develop a religious tourism village based on local wisdom.

The potential of the tourist village destinations is immense, and it is the responsibility of all stakeholders to ensure that more attention is paid to them. This is especially the case for the Cisaat tourist village, which has a great deal of potential, and the agricultural villages which are the main tourist attractions. As a result, the Co-creation Strategy has become an essential bridge for the management and development of the tourism village in Cisaat. This study seeks to investigate the role of facilitators in the development of tourist villages through a qualitative methodology. Through interviews with representative stakeholders, data was collected. The results of the study reveal that the primary stakeholders in the development of tourism villages are local organizations, communities, industries, universities, and local governments. Along with the current development of tourist villages, the YTR Ohoi Letman tourist village should have tour planners that are able to integrate its tourist attractions and tourist facilities into tour packages. Nowadays in actual fact, this tourist village has not had a tour planner. For this reason, we took initiative to conduct education and training to share the knowledge and skills about how to become a tour planner for the members of POKDARWIS. Lectures are used as an education method using the Contextul Teaching and Learning model, where the material explained is related to the current situation in the travel industries. And for training sesson, is used method of Small Group Discussion where the presenter makes a task plan, then discussed by the participants and presented at the same time. In general, the education and training has run succesfully where the members of POKDARWIS seemed very enthusiastic and interactive and they were able to plan, calculate and arrange the tour packages. There are two ready made tour packages are produced during the event, they are YTR Ohoi Letman Exotic Tours 3Days/2Nights and YTR Ohoi Letman Explore Nature Tourism 3 Days 2 Nights. Tourism villages are required to be innovative and creative in promoting their village if it want to survive in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Utilise one part of virtual reality, namely virtual tours, can be used to promoting tourism villages, one of them is the Cau Belayu Tourism Village. Virtual tour is a new technology, therefore it is necessary to analyze the virtual tour that was developed with the aim of measuring the level of usefulness and level of user acceptance of the Virtual Tour of Cau Belayu Tourism Village. The purpose of this research is to evaluate and analyze the level of user acceptance of the Cau Belayu Tourism Village Virtual Tour so that in its implementation it can attract tourists to visit the village and increase the tendency of tourists to visit tourist villages directly. This research uses the Acceptance Model (TAM) evaluation model which has been proven to be effective in evaluating the level of acceptance of other technologies, therefore it is also used to evaluate the developed virtual tour. Several constructs used as test variables from the TAM model are used, namely Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Enjoyment (ENJ), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and Tendency to visit Actual Sites (TenAS). The results of hypothesis testing show that the four hypotheses are proven, namely H1: PEOU has a positive effect on PU with a significance value of 0.0030 < 0.05, H2: PEOU has a positive effect on ENJ with a significance value of 0.0030 < 0.05, H3: PU increased TenAs with a significance value of 0.007 < 0.05 and H4: ENJ increased TenAs with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. A new leader has inspired young people to transform an agrarian village into a popular tourist destination. The goal of this research is to explain the process of transforming an agricultural village into a tourism village, including the role of the Village Head (VH) and other actors involved. This research was conducted in Pujon Kidul (PK) village, Pujon subdistrict, Malang Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with innovators, small traders, and members of society at tourist sites. Apart from conducting indepth interviews, secondary data was also utilized to examine how the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of innovators can transform the traditional lifestyle of PK Village. This phenomenon can be explained by the Knowledge-intensive Innovative Entrepreneurship (KIE) framework, which highlights the significance of knowledge and innovation in entrepreneurial development. The study's findings enhance the KIE framework by reinforcing the significance of entrepreneurial leaders and real political support. Moreover, the government's policies that actively promote the growth of rural areas and tourism are external factors that encourage Village Heads to bring about social transformation. These policies have created an environment that nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit of all members of society. Based on the potential of natural resources and the potential of human resources in Sukorejo Village, the Ormawa PPK team initiated the establishment of a sustainable tourism village and to increase economic independence. This establishment process went through a planning and formulation process involving several parties, especially stake holders. Sustainability and economic resilience are difficult to achieve if it does not involve participation from local residents. So, from the results of the joint discussion with the Regent of Jember, it was agreed that there must be a party that manages the tourist village, namely the Tourism Awareness Group or Pokdarwis. The approach taken in implementing this research is Community Based Tourism. The results of this research show that there are 3 important implications on social, economic and environmental aspects. Spiritual tourism prioritising religious aspects, is one of East Java's oldest forms of tourism, especially in Malang district. This form of tourism has long developed since combining Islamic and Javanese values. The concept emerged along with the Indonesian halal tourism brand. As a form of contribution to the development of religious tourism, this study seeks to show the existence of traditional relations in aspects of Islamic pilgrimage as a form of tourist behaviour which involves visiting historical tourism in tourist villages. This research uses a qualitative methods with a case study which includes interviews and participatory observation that aims to understand the aspects of pilgrimage in depth. The findings show that tourists visiting spiritual objects of high importance are not unlike Muslims in their behaviour when visiting Mecca - performing tawaf, drinking holy water, giving alms and eating together. However, this is something that attracts tourists to visit. Planning and development are still needed, especially in the flow of rituals that are carried out so as not to eliminate the purpose of developing halal tourism in Indonesia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Prior studies in sustainable tourism development have acknowledged gaps in our understanding of its various aspects--including environmental, social, and economic impacts--and the strategies for its effective implementation and long-term sustainability, particularly concerning the practical, step-by-step execution. This research aims to explore how empowering the local community can enhance tourist attractions, create memorable experiences, and increase visitor satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism village. Six informants were chosen based on their knowledge of the practice of sustainable tourism in Wonokitri village. The researchers considered six informants to be sufficient because they represent the key stakeholders involved in sustainable tourism practices that focus on local empowerment in Wonokitri village. The data was manually analyzed using a six-step data analysis process. This study's findings underscore that, beyond economic advantages, the local community garners social benefits through cultural preservation and environmental conservation, aligning with the goals of sustainable development. The collaborative efforts involving the government, private sector, and the engaged local community at Edelweiss Park exemplify how empowering the local community can foster tourism practices that yield comprehensive benefits for both the environment and the socio-economic well-being of the community. Purpose — The purpose of this study is to analyze community participation in Sasak Ende Tourism Village in managing and designing sustainable tourism development strategies based on the results of typological analysis of community participation. Method — This study employs qualitative methods utilizing primary and secondary data sources. Data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. We interviewed informants from the Central Lombok Tourism Office, the Managing Secretary of Sasak Ende Tourism Village, and Pujut Regency. Furthermore, triangulation analysis techniques were utilized in this study to assess the validity of the data. Result — Based on the analysis, three levels of community participation were identified in Sasak Ende Tourism Village: material incentive participation, interactive participation, and independent mobilization. Community participation activities in Sasak Ende Tourism Village adhere to socio-cultural, economic, and environmentally sustainable tourism principles. The strategy employed focuses on developing human resources (HR) and preserving Sasak traditional houses. The analysis results in a sustainable tourism development strategy for Sasak Ende Tourism Village based on the typology of participation and the principles of sustainable tourism. Practical implications — This study suggests that fostering various levels of community participation and aligning tourism development strategies with socio-cultural, economic, and environmental sustainability principles can lead to the preservation of cultural heritage and sustainable growth in destinations like Sasak Ende Tourism Village.

Kamal Village in Arjasa District, Jember Regency, East Java, has cultural and historical tourism potential through the Duplang Site, Klanceng Site, Ta' Butaan folk art, and Kadisah traditional rituals. This great tourism potential can be developed to promote Kamal Village as a culture-based tourism village. Through a participatory rural appraisal approach involving village-owned businesses, the Tourism Appreciation and Tourism Awareness Group, the Youth Organization of Kamal Village, and collaboration with the Jember Regency Tourism and Culture Office, the community service team assisted in the form of organizational assistance (institutional strengthening), event management training, and strengthening the promotion and branding activities. The results of this community service are expected to strengthen the cultural branding of Kamal Village towards sustainable tourism to realize sustainable and positive economic, social, and environmental impacts for related stakeholders.

This article examines recovery strategies in post-COVID-19 tourism villages in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, utilising a rural tourism resilience approach involving multi-stakeholder participation. This qualitative study collected data through interviews, literature, social media, and local news online observations. The data obtained were then analysed with the help of a code from NVivo 12 Plus to visualise the multi-stakeholder network in the five tourism village recovery strategies through the sociogram network, group queries, and concept mapping queries. The results of this study reveal the following: First, the five tourist villages have different ways of getting back on their feet and getting more substantial for a massive recovery. Second, all government levels strongly support accelerating the five tourist villages' recovery via various media promotions of the four (Tembi, Kakilangit, Kebonagung, and Kampung Santan), except for Lopati's tourism village destinations. In addition, the two villages, in terms of the resilience of social networks, mostly need support in increasing institutional capacity (Kampung Santan and Lopati), fostering collaboration, and requiring creativity. Therefore, post-COVID, mechanisms for development and new ideas in two tourist villages (Lopati and Kampung Santan) were relatively noticeable. Some tourism villages still need leaders for programmes and activities. Further, the government's persistence in popularising tourist villages requires further improvement through media promotion, tourism awareness groups, and participation in the tertiary sector.

This article aims to analyze the helix model in tourism development in the Nongkosawit Tourism Village. The problem is focused on sustainable tourism development, identification of stakeholders involved, and the model. To approach this problem, theoretical references from Cooper, Swarbrooke, Maryono, and Sturesson, E., Lindmark, A., & Nilsson Roos, M. Data collection was carried out through document review, interviews, and observations. The technique for determining informants uses the snowball technique. The results of this research show that the development of sustainable tourism in the Nongkosawit Tourism Village, analyzed from an economic aspect, has not provided maximum benefits, so from a social and cultural aspect it can be said to be quite optimal, and from an environmental aspect quite optimal. The results of the field findings show that sustainable tourism development in the Nongkosawit Tourism Village has not implemented the principles of sustainable tourism. The stakeholders involved in tourism development in the Nongkosawit Tourism Village are grouped into three, namely primary, secondary, and key stakeholders which then form the Penta helix model. There are several supporting factors and factors that are considered to be obstacles to developing tourism in the Nongkosawit Tourism Village.

The various problems experienced by Doplang Village are the lack of competence and capacity of managers in developing local potential and the absence of involvement of all elements for the role of communities in the advancement of tourist villages.. Another problem is the not optimal use of sosial media in the development of tourist villages. The resolution presented by the team is the competence and capacity of managers in developing lokal potential to support the creation of a tourist village. The various solutions offered will be realized in the form of comprehensive outreach, training, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation in order to obtain optimal results. For this reason, the Sosial Media Optimization program for Empowering Tourism Villages in Doplang needs to be implemented immediately in order to increase the competence and capacity of youth. This program is more focused on empowering the lokal potential of Doplang Village through facilitation and capacitation of Karang Taruna in Doplang Village. The outcome of this endeavor is a rise in the capacity of youth organizations; the pioneering Doplang tourist village managed by Karang Taruna.
