Abstract

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) represent one of the most frequent causes of drug-induced urticaria/angioedema worldwide. Recent review articles have classified patients experiencing NSAID-induced urticaria/angioedema into different categories, including single reactors, multiple reactors, and multiple reactors with underlying chronic urticaria. Each of these categories requires a different clinical approach. The present article, written by a panel of experts, reports the main recommendations for the practical clinical management of patients with a history of urticaria/angioedema induced by multiple NSAID based on current knowledge., (Copyright © 2012 S.
