The latest events caused by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic highlight the need to develop means to stop the expansion of these pathogens. The use of prophylactic vaccines has considerably reduced the impact of these outbreaks. However, viruses continue to circulate among the population and therapeutic tools are needed to treat infected individuals in the form of effective antivirals. Using a phenotypic screening approach, a new family of antiviral molecules has been identified and a medicinal chemistry program for the generation of preclinical candidates started. Structure-activity and structure-property relationship studies have guided the hit to lead process and allowed the optimization and selection of lead compounds as potent, selective antiviral agents against SARS-CoV-2. The identified antiviral leads show excellent cell culture profiles for further development: i) unequivocal antiviral activity and good therapeutic window, ii) ability to interfere with viral replication even after infection has been initiated (post-entry), iii) selectivity over other (+)-strand RNA viruses and iv) pan-coronavirus potential activity. We have also started to explore the potential pathways leading to compounds resistance, the molecular mechanisms involved, and the viral determinants. Preliminary studies have revealed that the selective pressure imposed by the compounds cluster together in a non-structural region of SARSCoV-2 genome responsible for the formation of double membrane vesicles, the putative RNA replication compartment. To date, no drugs targeting this region has been identified. Overall, our research would represent a significant step forward in developing new, innovative strategies for treating infections caused by emergent coronaviruses.

Aminophenoxazinones are degradation products resulting from the metabolism of different plant species, which comprise a family of natural products well known for their pharmacological activities. This review provides an overview of the pharmacological properties and applications proved by these compounds and their structural derivatives during 2000-2021. The bibliography was selected according to our purpose from the references obtained in a SciFinder database search for the Phx-3 structure (the base molecule of the aminophenoxazinones). Compounds Phx-1 and Phx-3 are among the most studied, especially as anticancer drugs for the treatment of gastric and colon cancer, glioblastoma and melanoma, among others types of relevant cancers. The main information available in the literature about their mechanisms is also described. Similarly, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiparasitic activities are presented, including species related directly or indirectly to significant diseases. Therefore, we present diverse compounds based on aminophenoxazinones with high potential as drugs, considering their levels of activity and few adverse effects.

En aquest treball s’estudien diferents mètodes de predicció aplicats al consum alimentari. Per a la realització d’aquests, s’utilitzen dades de la població espanyola, a més es mostren els processos necessaris per obtenir les prediccions esmentades. Aquest estudi utilitza algoritmes clàssics, en l’estudi economètric, com els models ARIMA, i altres, com els Support Vector Machines, del camp de la intel·ligència artificial, això ens permetrà comparar l’actuació d’aquests dos mètodes davant una variable econòmica., This work studies different predictive methods applied to food consumption. For the realization of these, data of Spanish population are used, in addition the necessary processes are shown to obtain the mentioned predictions. This study uses classical algorithms, in the econometric, such as ARIMA models, and other ones, such as Support Vector Machines, from the Artificial Intelligence field, this will allow us to compare both performances against an economic variable.
