The metabolism of tomato fruits changes when plants experience drought stress. In this study, we investigated changes in microRNA (miRNA) abundance and detected 32 miRNAs whose expression changes in fruit. The candidate target genes for each miRNA were predicted from the differentially expressed genes identified by transcriptome analysis at the same fruit maturation stage. The predicted targeted genes were related to cell wall metabolisms, response to pathogens, and plant hormones. Among these, we focused on cell wall metabolism-related genes and performed a dual luciferase assay to assess the targeting of their mRNAs by their predicted miRNA. As a result, sly-miR10532 and sly-miR7981e suppress the expression of mRNAs of galacturonosyltransferase-10 like encoding the main enzyme of pectin biosynthesis, while sly-miR171b-5p targets β-1,3-glucosidase mRNAs involved in glucan degradation. These results will allow the systematic characterization of miRNA and their target genes in the tomato fruit under drought stress conditions.

Transcriptome and metabolome analysis in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) fruits cultivated under drought conditions showed that drought stress promoted fatty acid synthesis and increased the content of fatty acids in fruits. The accumulation of some phospholipids composed of palmitic acid and oleic acid also was significantly increased, especially in seeds. Moreover, inositol, which is a component of cell membranes and cell walls, was increased through the activity of the myoinositol monophosphatase 1-mediated pathway. In mature fruits, the levels of metabolic regulators such as β-alanine and 4-aminobutyric acid were elevated. These results showed that these compounds are drought-responsive and enhance drought tolerance and subsequently they could enhance the nutritional value and health benefits of tomato fruit.

We constructed a yeast‐based reporter assay system to verify the cleavage activity of Arabidopsis thaliana signal peptide peptidase, a transmembrane protease localized in the endoplasmic reticulum. Arabidopsis thaliana signal peptide peptidase cleaved 15 candidate substrates that lacked the positively charged amino acids, His and Lys, in the C‐region of signal peptides. Our assay system may be suitable for identifying innate substrates with crucial roles in plants., Signal peptide peptidase (SPP) is an aspartic protease with two active sites, YD and GXGD, in the transmembrane domain. SPP cleaves signal peptides, and the released fragments play key roles in the immune system, embryo development and protein turnover in cells. Despite SPP having an important function, a general system to identify the requirements of intramembrane proteolysis by SPP has not been developed because proteolysis occurs in the membrane. In this study, we first established a reporter assay system in yeast to verify the cleavage activity of the Arabidopsis thaliana SPP (AtSPP). Next, we screened candidate substrates of AtSPP from A. thaliana pollen and roots. In the pollen, 13 signal peptides with 'pollen' and 'cell wall' as gene ontology terms were selected. In the roots, mutants overexpressing AtSPP were constructed, and gene expression changes were compared with the wild‐type. Nine signal peptides expressed in the roots were selected. Then we used the candidate substrates in our reporter assay system to determine the requirements for proteolysis by AtSPP. Fifteen of 22 signal peptides were cleaved by AtSPP. The absence of the positively charged amino acids, His and Lys on the C terminus of the signal sequence, was observed in cleaved substrates. Moreover, mutation of a helix breaker‐to‐Leu substitution in the intramembrane region in substrates prevented cleavage by AtSPP. These results indicated that substrates of AtSPP required the helix breaker structure to be cleaved.

Purpose While Lesson Studies are usually defined as “teacher-led” collaborative research for the purpose of improving teaching, one Japanese junior high school has conducted “student-led” Lesson Studies (SLS) for the past 20 years. The purpose of this paper is to clarify how this school involves students in the Lesson Study process to identify the importance of learners’ perspectives and create the best learning environment. Design/methodology/approach Using the case study method, the researcher observed the lesson study process, research lessons and pre-lesson and post-lesson discussions with teachers and students at the case school, as well as examining the school’s annual reports. One-on-one interviews were held with the principal and teachers at the case school. A group interview was conducted with 18 students (8th grade), and additional interviews were held with four students and a Homeroom Teacher. All interviews were recorded and analyzed based on self-regulated learning theory. Findings In SLS, students observe the learning activities in other classes and compare them with their own learning activities. Thus, they come to view their in-class learning process in a metacognitive way and can collaborate with teachers to reflect on their learning process and to create a more effective learning environment. Originality/value While previous studies on Lesson Study have consisted of artificial/experimental one-time practices involving acute researcher-led interventions, this paper uniquely investigates genuine, daily practices that teachers and students developed on their own. This research is of considerable interest as it goes beyond traditional studies in Japan.

Protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMT) 5, a member of type II arginine methyltransferases, catalyzes the symmetrical dimethylation of arginine residues on histone and non-histone substrates. Although the overexpression of PRMT5 has been reported in various cancers, its role in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) has not been elucidated. In the present study, we immunohistochemically examined the expression of PRMT5 in surgically resected oral epithelial dysplasia (OED, n = 8), oral intraepithelial neoplasia (OIN)/carcinoma in situ (CIS) (n = 11) and OSCC (n = 52) with or without contiguous OED lesions. In the normal epithelium, PRMT5 was weakly expressed in the cytoplasm of basal layer cells. In OED, OIN/CIS, and OSCC, its expression consistently and uniformly increased in the cytoplasm of dysplastic and cancer cells. Moreover, nuclear and cytoplasmic localization was detected in the invasive front of cancer cells, particularly in cases showing poor differentiation or aggressive invasion patterns. The concomitant nuclear and cytoplasmic expression of PRMT5 correlated with the loss of E-cadherin and cytokeratin 17, and the upregulation of vimentin, features that are both indicative of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. PRMT5 may play a role from early oncogenesis through to the progression of OSCC, particularly in the aggressive mode of stromal invasion.

Rice blast is a devastating fungal disease resulting in major losses to rice crops. Owing to continuous acquisition of resistance by the causal fungus, several fungicide chemicals are no longer effective. Therefore, there is a need to identify natural components and develop new agents to control fungal pathogens. We previously demonstrated that the culture filtrate of Biscogniauxia sp. O821 inhibited infection behavior of Magnaporthe oryzae and subsequent blast lesion formation. In the present study, we isolated a new compound, (3aS,4aR,8aS,9aR)-3a-hydroxy-8a-methyl-3,5-dimethylenedecahydronaphto[2,3-b]furan-2(3H)-one (HDFO), from the culture filtrate of Biscogniauxia sp. O821 and determined its molecular weight as 248. The HDFO structure was determined by electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy after purification with column chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. The structure of this antifungal compound was similar to that of alantolactone and isoalantolactone. The growth inhibition zone against M. oryzae in presence of HDFO was observed at Rf 0.5–0.6 on a thin layer chromatography plate. HDFO inhibited conidial germination of M. oryzae in a dose-dependent manner (1–200 ppm). Furthermore, blast lesion formation was significantly suppressed by HDFO at over 5 ppm. These results suggest that HDFO from the culture filtrate of Biscogniauxia sp. O821 can protect rice from rice blast disease caused by M. oryzae. This is the first report that HDFO produced by Biscogniauxia sp. can serve as an antifungal compound against M. oryzae.

Microorganism isolates (n = 49) were obtained from the soil samples collected from field in Gotsu city (Kawahira), Shimane. Isolate GT2-E culture inhibited the growth of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae in disk diffusion method. Rice bacterial leaf blight was suppressed by GT2-E culture in the pre- and post-treated rice leaves. Sequence analysis of 16S rDNA region of the GT2-E isolate indicated that it shared 99% similarity with Paenibacillus polymyxa. The growth of GT2-E on LB medium was observed at 15°C, 28°C, 37°C, and 45°C, but not at 4°C. GT2-E isolate could be grown even in the presence of agrochemicals (Amister, Blasin and Kasumin). Furthermore, the growth of X. oryzae pv. oryzae was inhibited by the culture filtrate of GT2-E isolate in disk diffusion method. However, the inhibitory activity of the culture filtrate was heat-unstable. This result suggested that GT2-E isolate can produce heat-unstable inhibitory compound(s). In conclusion, GT2-E isolate might contribute to the development of a new bactericide and biological agent against rice bacterial leaf blight.

An ethyl acetate extract of a culture filtrate (ECF) from an unidentified fungal isolate O821 was evaluated for antifungal activity against the rice pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae. The O821-ECF significantly inhibited spore germination, appressorium formation, and mycelial growth of M. oryzae, and its antifungal activity was heat-stable. It also significantly suppressed the number and size of blast lesions. In an analysis of the ITS sequence of this isolate, it shared similarities with species of the fungus Biscogniauxia. These results suggest that isolate O821 of the genus Biscogniauxia produces a heat-stable antifungal compound(s) in its culture filtrate.

An isolate GT4028 was obtained from soil samples collected from a field in Gotsu city (Kawahira), Shimane. The use of a culture suspension and culture filtrate of this isolate significantly suppressed the spore germination in Magnaporthe oryzae. The inhibitory activity of the culture filtrate was heat-stable. The formation of rice blast lesions by M. oryzae was significantly suppressed in the presence of the culture suspension of isolate GT4028. Furthermore, mycelial growth of some plant pathogenic fungi was inhibited by the isolate in a dual culture assay. Sequence analysis of 16S rDNA region of the isolate indicated that it shared similarities with species of the genus Burkholderia. Also, isolate GT4028 could be grown even in the presence of fungicides (Blastin, Kasugamycin, and Amistar) that act against M. oryzae. These results suggest that isolate GT4028 might be a potential control agent for plant protection against diseases, such as rice blast disease.

In this study, we report the draft genome sequence of Zygosaccharomyces mellis CA-7, isolated from purchased honey imported from Canada. The 10.19-Mb genome contains 4,963 gene models. To our knowledge, this annotated genome sequence is the first from the species Z. mellis and will contribute to a better understanding of the osmotolerance of microorganisms in high-sugar products.

Germination of wheat maximizes phytochemical content and antioxidant activity while altering chemical composition, gluten content, and pasting properties. This study investigated the effect of short-term imbibition on gene expression profiles and the physical and functional characteristics of wheat. Changes in gene expression profiles of wheat during short-term imbibition (0, 16, and 24 hr) were evaluated by DNA microarray analysis. Gene Ontology (GO) analysis was carried out to categorize the function of genes with altered expression. Genes related to cellulose and cell wall synthesis were upregulated by imbibition for 16 hr, whereas those associated with polysaccharide catabolism and nucleosome assembly were upregulated in the subsequent 8 hr. The genes related to proteases and gluten were expressed in dry seeds but disappeared after 16 hr of imbibition. Genes encoding α-amylase were not expressed in dry seeds whereas those encoding β-amylase were expressed in dry seeds and downregulated by imbibition. According to quantitative real-time PCR and enzymatic activity assay, α-Amylase expression increased by imbibition and reached a maximum 24 hr after imbibition, with a corresponding increase in enzymatic activity. Pasting properties of flour made from wheat seeds imbibed for different times were decreased when seeds were imbibed for over 16 hr, by examination with Rapid Visco Analyzer. Gluten content did not significantly change until 24-hr imbibition, although expression of genes encoding gliadin and glutenin disappeared by 16-hr imbibition. The data indicated that it was possible to use 16-hr imbibed wheat, with up to the 50% w/w replacement of nonimbibed wheat.

The switch/sucrose non-fermenting (SWI/SNF) complex has recently emerged as a novel tumor suppressor in various human cancers. In the present study, we analyzed the expression of multiple SWI/SNF subunits in primary non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A total of 133 NSCLC, consisting of 25 squamous cell carcinomas (SCC), 70 adenocarcinomas (AD), 16 large cell carcinomas (LC), and 22 pleomorphic carcinomas (PL), were immunohistochemically examined for the expression of BRG1, BRM, BAF47, ARID1A, and ARID1B. The frequency at which reductions in the expression of BRG1 were observed was significantly higher in the LC-PL group (13/38, 34.2%) than in the SCC-AD group (7/95, 7.4%). Similarly, the frequency at which reductions in the expression of BRM were observed was significantly higher in the LC-PL group (17/38, 44.7%) than in the SCC-AD group (14/95, 14.7%). The loss of the expression of ARID1A, ARID1B, and BAF47 was observed only in a fraction of NSCLC cases. Furthermore, the frequency at which the concurrent loss of multiple subunits of the SWI/SNF complex was observed was significantly higher in the LC-PL group (10/38, 26.3%) than in the SCC-AD group (8/95, 8.4%). Collectively, these results indicate that the loss of the SWI/SNF complex was related to dedifferentiation in NSCLC.

At present, for adults with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, two new analogues, entecavir (ETV) and tenofovir, are recommended as the first-line therapy by the EASL (European Association for the Study of the Liver), AASLD (American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases), and APASL (Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver) guidelines. The use of pegylated interferon-α (PEG IFN-α) is recommended as the first-line therapy instead of standard IFN-α according to the above 3 guidelines. In this paper, the aim was to assess: (1) the long-term efficacy and safety as well as the resistance to ETV and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF); (2) the efficacy of PEG IFN-α; (3) the role of combination therapy with IFN plus two analogues, such as lamivudine and ETV; (4) the efficacy and safety of two analogues with cirrhosis, and (5) suppression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by ETV and IFN treatment. The results are as follows: (1) both ETV and TDF showed long-term efficacy and safety; (2) PEG IFN-α resulted in a greater decline in HBV DNA levels and a higher rate of HBeAg seroconversion; (3) combination therapy with IFN plus two analogues did not elevate the rate of sustained responses; (4) both ETV and TDF showed efficacy and safety with cirrhosis (ETV especially displayed efficacy and safety with decompensated cirrhosis), and (5) suppression of HCC was observed by ETV and IFN.

This study aimed to develop an in vitro model for the analysis of the bovine endometrium. Immunofluorescent staining revealed that the hetero-spheroids and the cultured explants showed almost similar structure in the localization of bovine endometrial epithelial cells and endometrial stromal cells, except the glandular-like structure of the epithelial cells inside the explants. Gelatin zymography revealed that the hetero-spheroids did not express matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) after 4 days of culture, but strong MMP expressions were observed in the cultured explants until 7 days of culture. Additionally, expression of progesterone receptor (PR), estrogen receptor alpha (ERα), type I interferon receptor 1 (IFNAR1) and 2 (IFNAR2) messenger RNA was observed both in the homo- and hetero-spheroids. This was a pilot study carried out to develop a new protein food item from imbibed soybean before germination. It identified the significance of a short stage after imbibition and before germination, and that vitamin C production was activated in as little as 16 h from the start of imbibition, without any influence on the soy protein quality or sensory acceptability, while longer imbibition caused the imbibed soybean to activate its phytophysiological metabolism for germination. DNA microarray analysis indicated that the genes for carbohydrate metabolism were up-regulated prior to 16 h, and that the expression rates of genes responsible for environmental factors were down-regulated. Thereafter, the expression rates of the genes associated with lipid metabolism and secondary metabolite production were changed. This information should contribute to a better understanding of how to develop a new soy protein item in pre-germination before active physiological processes begin.

Stress tolerance and stress-related metabolite concentrations were determined over different seasons in leaves and stems of sea buckthorn, which is believed to be a highly stress-tolerant plant compared with major deciduous fruit trees. Electrolyte leakage in sea buckthorn leaves reached a minimum of 20% or less at 51 °C, with an increase in temperature. In contrast, electrolyte leakage in sea buckthorn stems was less than 20% at −40 °C, during the coldest period, and was almost undetectable in January. A change in heat tolerance corresponded to an alteration of tocopherol concentration, whereas a change in freezing tolerance corresponded to changes in raffinose and ascorbic acid concentrations, which indicated winter-specific production, along with sucrose and glucose. Heat, drought, and freezing tolerance in sea buckthorn were higher than those in apple and pear; the higher heat and freezing tolerance may be related to tocopherol and sucrose and ascorbic acid concentrations, respectively. Because few studies have simultaneously investigated multiple stresses and metabolites across different seasons, this study, particularly involving the dramatic accumulation of ascorbic acid in winter and the role of tocopherol in heat tolerance, will provide new insights into a comprehensive understanding of stress acclimation in fruit trees.

BRG1 and BRM, two core catalytic subunits in SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes, have been suggested as tumor suppressors, yet their roles in carcinogenesis are unclear. Here, we present evidence that loss of BRG1 and BRM is involved in the progression of lung adenocarcinomas. Analysis of 15 lung cancer cell lines indicated that BRG1 mutations correlated with loss of BRG1 expression and that loss of BRG1 and BRM expression was frequent in E‐cadherin‐low and vimentin‐high cell lines. Immunohistochemical analysis of 93 primary lung adenocarcinomas showed loss of BRG1 and BRM in 11 (12%) and 16 (17%) cases, respectively. Loss of expression of BRG1 and BRM was frequent in solid predominant adenocarcinomas and tumors with low thyroid transcription factor‐1 (TTF‐1, master regulator of lung) and low cytokeratin7 and E‐cadherin (two markers for bronchial epithelial differentiation). Loss of BRG1 was correlated with the absence of lepidic growth patterns and was mutually exclusive of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations. In contrast, loss of BRM was found concomitant with lepidic growth patterns and EGFR mutations. Finally, we analyzed the publicly available dataset of 442 cases and found that loss of BRG1 and BRM was frequent in E‐cadherin‐low, TTF‐1‐low, and vimentin‐high cases and correlated with poor prognosis. We conclude that loss of either or both BRG1 and BRM is involved in the progression of lung adenocarcinoma into solid predominant tumors with features of epithelial mesenchymal transition and loss of the bronchial epithelial phenotype. BRG1 loss was specifically involved in the progression of EGFR wild‐type, but not EGFR‐mutant tumors.

Rearranged during transfection (RET) fusions have been newly identified in approximately 1% of patients with primary lung tumors. However, patient-derived lung cancer cell lines harboring RET fusions have not yet been established or identified, and therefore, the effectiveness of an RET inhibitor on lung tumors with endogenous RET fusion has not yet been studied. In this study, we report identification of CCDC6-RET fusion in the human lung adenocarcinoma cell line LC-2/ad. LC-2/ad showed distinctive sensitivity to the RET inhibitor, vandetanib, among 39 non–small lung cancer cell lines. The xenograft tumor of LC-2/ad showed cribriform acinar structures, a morphologic feature of primary RET fusion–positive lung adenocarcinomas. LC-2/ad cells could provide useful resources to analyze molecular functions of RET-fusion protein and its response to RET inhibitors.

Feeding a high-cholesterol diet with a water-soluble peanut skin polyphenol fraction to rats reduced their plasma cholesterol level, with an increase in fecal cholesterol excretion. The hypocholesterolemic effect was greater with the lower-molecular-weight rather than higher-molecular-weight polyphenol fraction. This effect was possibly due to some oligomeric polyphenols which reduced the solubility of dietary cholesterol in intestinal bile acid-emulsified micelles.

The gene expression profiles in soybean (Glycine max L.) seeds at 4 stages of development, namely, pod, 2-mm bean, 5-mm bean, and full-size bean, were examined by DNA microarray analysis. The total genes of each sample were classified into 4 clusters based on stage of development. Gene expression was strictly controlled by seed size, which coincides with the development stage. First, stage specific gene expression was examined. Many transcription factors were expressed in pod, 2-mm bean and 5-mm bean. In contrast, storage proteins were mainly expressed in full-size bean. Next, we extracted the genes that are differentially expressed genes (DEGs) that were extracted using the Rank products method of the Bioconductor software package. These DEGs were sorted into 8 groups using the hclust function according to gene expression patterns. Three of the groups across which the expression levels progressively increased included 100 genes, while 3 groups across which the levels decreased contained 47 genes. Storage proteins, seed-maturation proteins, some protease inhibitors, and the allergen Gly m Bd 28K were classified into the former groups. Lipoxygenase (LOX) family members were present in both the groups, indicating the multi-functionality with different expression patterns.

Peanut skin contains large amounts of polyphenols having antiallergic effects. We found that a peanut-skin extract (PSE) inhibits the degranulation induced by antigen stimulation of rat basophilic leukemia (RBL-2H3) cells. A low-molecular-weight fraction from PSE, PSEL, also had inhibitory activity against allergic degranulation. A main polyphenol in PSEL was purified by gel chromatography and fractionated by YMC-gel ODS-AQ 120S50 column. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) analysis of the purified polyphenol gave m/z 599 [M+Na]⁺. Based on the results of ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR spectra, and optical rotation analysis, the polyphenol was identified as procyanidin A1. It inhibited the degranulation caused by antigen stimulation at the IC₅₀ of 20.3 µM. Phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA) and 2,5,-di(tert-butyl)-1,4-hydroquinone (DTBHQ)-induced processes of degranulation were also inhibited by procyanidin A1. These results indicate that peanut-skin procyanidin A1 inhibits degranulation downstream of protein kinase C activation or Ca²⁺ influx from an internal store in RBL-2H3 cells.

Global analysis of gene expression profiles in most-glycinin-deficient cultivar Tousan205, was performed by DNA microarray analysis. It was confirmed that Tousan205 lacks mRNA expression of three glycinin subunit precursor genes, G1 (A1aB1x), G2 (A2B1a), and G5 (A3B4), and lacks G4 (A5A4B3) protein. Most glycinin subunits were deficient in mature seeds of Tousan205. We compared the gene expression of Tousan205 with those of parent cultivar, Tamahomare, which was used for crossbreeding of Tousan205. As a result, Tousan205 exhibited higher expression of some seed maturation proteins, and stress-related genes such as glutathione S-transferase and ascorbate peroxidase. This result indicates the possibility that the decrease of main storage protein, glycinin causes stress in soybean.

This study is aimed at developing a systematic method for evaluation and prediction of solidification cracking in laser dissimilar welded joints (laser DWJ). The initiation of solidification cracking was observed directly by using a high speed camera during U-type hot cracking testing while laser welding. The high temperature ductility curves were obtained based on the local critical strains of the solidification cracks, measured by investigating each frame of the observation film. The distribution of residual liquid metal during solidification was investigated by using both high magnification and in-situ observation. Moreover, material properties at the elevated temperatures were measured by using a developed tensile test. The weld strain during laser welding was calculated by 3D finite element analysis by using the material properties obtained. Consequently, all the results helped to provide a comprehensive understanding of solidification cracking in laser DWJ.

The present paper discusses the Japanese emotion “Urami”（similar to grudge/ resentment）, through analysis of the Yokyoku（stories of Noh drama）“Izutsu” and “Aoi-noue”. The paper fi rst explore the similarity between “Mugen Noh”（dream narrative）of Noh and psychotherapy. Next, three methods are used to expand the images of “Urami”: 1）Comparison between the stories “Izutsu” and “Aoi-no-ue” ; 2）examination of the structural roots of the characters “ 恨” and “ 怨”（which are both “Urami”）. It seems that “Urami” is related to the emotions “Miren”（regret）and “Aware”（aesthetic response to the transience of beautiful things）, in addition to which “Urami” includes not only aggression but also sorrow. Further examination of “Izutsu” and “Aoi-no-ue” suggests that in order for the sublimation of “Urami” to take place, it is necessary for the person who holds the grudge to face the sorrow seriously. It is also gathered that for a person who holds the Japanese emotion “Urami”, it is expressed in three ways; to narrate “Urami” ;to be unable to narrate it ; and to not narrate it. The Japanese seem to prefer to hide an emotion like “Urami” in order to prevent oneself from being wounded by the emotion. Finally, it is suggested that the sense of the evanescence of life which is valued by the Japanese and Easterners plays a major role in order for the begrudged person to face the sorrow, and it is realized that an Japanese who holds the sense of the evanescence of life is able to transform sorrow into a sense of beauty, for the Japanese waiting for better times is equivalent to the act of praying.

本稿の目的は、日木・田村(2007)で提示した【Here/There + you+ are/go】表現の機能に関する仮説を修正し、主語がI/we の場合にも適用可能なものにすることである。 【Here/There + X + Be/Go】表現は、(1)文頭の Here または There、(2)主語 X(I/we/you)、(3)動詞 Be または Go、の3要素から構成されており、各要素の組み合わせによって、規則的に各表現の機能が決定される。 各要素に含まれる語の機能は以下のとおりである。(1)Here は聞き手に対し、「注意を促す」が、There は、「話者の期待が達成したことを表明する」。(2)主語 X が you の場合、話題の対象は「聞き手」である。I の場合は「話者」、we を選択した場合は「話者を含むグループ」となる。(ただし、X が人であるとは限らない。)(3)動詞 Be の場合は、「主語 X の状態」について、Go の場合は、「X の行為」について、注意喚起あるいは達成表明を行う。 本稿ではこの修正仮説を、【Here/There + I/we + be/go】の実際の用例で検証し、その有効性を主張した。
